I can't recommend this location enough. The building is beautiful and the staff were amazing. Rick took such amazing care of our group and showed us amazing hospitality. The wines were delicious and just loved it!

We stopped by Arch Ray Winery on the way back to ATX after a week in FBG. The winery tasting room is part of a new mega-complex which includes all the family's food and beverage brands. The space is super nice, very modern. Large upscale restaurant, party spaces, outdoor areas, all top notch! We tasted the whites and reds. All were good, but our favs were in the white flight. We snacked on an artichoke-spinach dip with chips, pico and sour cream, which was very good. Arch Ray is a top tier winery in Central Tx IMHO, we'd stop by again to sample more. Recommend checking out their new digs!! PS Kind of a weird architectural flaw in the tasting room. Given the configuration of the entrance to the men's restroom, and the mirrors in the restroom, casual passersby can see right into stalls in men's restroom from the tasting room area. Weird to us. Fortunately, the women's restroom does not share the same flaw, total privacy there. Likely just an oversight, but weird...

Our first stop in Fredericksburg was Arch Ray, and it couldn't have been a better day for wine tasting. I opted for the white wine flight, which leaned on the drier side, but I enjoyed each one. This spot is ideal for families and friends to gather, unwind, and savor a drink together.

Arch Ray has something for everybody in your group. Sweet wines from fiesta, dry wines from arch ray, a brewery, distillery, cocktails, mock tails, food, snacks, great views in the back, live music Friday and Saturday afternoons, large area inside to accommodate large groups. It really has everything. We came here on a Saturday and it didn't feel super overcrowded like a lot of other venues in the area do and were able to show up without reservations. I think the deterrent is the front looks pretty generic and "strip mall" ish for a winery, but don't let that deter you. The inside is really nice and the back area views are amazing. They also have grass fed meats you can buy at reasonable prices (ex. $12/lb sirloin) since the property is a working ranch. Only reason I didn't do 5 stars is we saw the food and it looked like smallish portions for the price. They also are open until 9 on Saturdays which is amazing especially for the area when most places close by 6.

THE BIG: Located right outside of Fredericksburg. Gigantic space with high ceilings and beautiful outdoor seating. Brewery and RV park also on premises. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here with a friend on a Saturday during Fredericksburg Oktoberfest and ACL weekend 1. It wasn't crowded and we enjoyed the beautiful outdoor weather (in October). The inside looked like a Restoration Hardware with it's clean yet designer look. High ceilings. We each got a wine tasting which featured a couple whites and reds. All were great, none blew me away. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Wine tastings are $30 with 6 (1oz) pours. Overall a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and perfect if you have a small or big group. The space can definitely handle it.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

After finding a couple of places closed, we called Barons Creekside. Best thing we ever did! We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! I understand that the cabins are old, and authentic but it would help a little. I would also recommend a little better dusting, around window sills, and windows/curtains, a fair amount of dust that came off, every time we closed the blinds or pulled the curtains. That is the only reason I rated it a 4 instead of 5.

We shared a few bottles of rosé and spent way longer than we planned because the atmosphere was just so inviting. The wine bar is set inside a beautifully restored historic home, with several cozy rooms that make it feel like you're relaxing in someone's stylish living room rather than a typical wine bar. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved that they also have a piano bar with live music in the evenings, it would be such a fun place to spend an evening! The two stars is NOT for the piano player Pierson Keating, who is great, for whom I would give 5 Stars. For clarification I have had a total of 3 glasses of wine since noon and it's currently 7 o'clock and I am writing this review as I am leaving. I have a strong understanding of TABC rules and regulations, and this question was misplaced and pretty rude. Pierson, the pianist, asked my group to sing a song we requested because he was unsure of the lyrics, then the staff asked the group to sit down.
