We used to really love coming here for their affordably priced pasta and pizza. However, in the past few months we too have noticed a change in their food for the worse. We loved the Grandpa pie for its strong garlicky flavor, but it was really lacking in garlic the last time we ordered it to go. Attempting to give Ardsley Cucina the benefit of the doubt, we gave the grandpa pie another try. The total came out to $25.77, significantly different from the pie's listed price of $20.50 online. We had requested extra garlic in an attempt to restore the pie to its former glory, but did not expect to be charged extra seeing as garlic is one of the cheapest ingredients out there. As it turns out, the online prices are inaccurate and the pie is now $23.25, making the garlic $2.52 extra. Ridiculous and it's really not much different from the usual amount they put on. When questioned about the extra charge of the garlic, one of the workers replied, "did you think it was free?" I should've walked out right then and there without paying, but I didn't. Whatever the case, the declining quality of food, rising prices and poor customer service are enough to keep me from returning. Is consistency so much to expect from a formerly great restaurant? Ardsley Cucina, it would do you well to update your online menu and improve your attitude. read more

I have to say that when I moved to the area from the city it took me quite some time to find decent pizza. Once I ordered from Ardsley Cucina we stopped looking. This place has legit great slices/pies tons of options and their kitchen food is delicious. The buffalo chicken wrap is the bomb. Great service and happy to find the place. They even honor discounts like $5 off or 10% off a certain amount even if you don't have the coupons. Once they gave me a medium pie when I ordered a large pie they quickly apologized and said keep the medium as well. No complaints. read more

I stumbled upon this restaurant after getting my MRI done. I wanted some decent food after being shoved in that tiny machine for over an hour. My wife couldn't take my hungertude and dragged me into this restaurant. I ordered a chicken roll, slice and something else but can't remember. The roll and the slice were very good. The pizza wasn't soggy and the staff were super nice. I would definitely come back for more of a upscale entree. First the food was very good but the original server was TERRIBLE and nasty. My husband sat in a chair and it was broken, luckily my husband is agile. The waiter switches it with another chair from an empty table and left the broken chair at the table. My husband says to him sir the chair is broken but the waiter walks away. He calls him over and the waiter tells him not to get excited. Another party is seated, same thing happens and the Server agains says to the other man and my husband don't get excited, as he moves the broken chair to another empty table. They speak to him again and finally took it away. Suddenly we get a new, much more pleasant waiter. So check out the chairs before you sit down. Truthfully the chairs are all in need of replacement; broken, torn upholstery... The Egglpant Parm was quite good as was the appetizers they put on the table : a Brad with mozzarella and bruschetta. I've been craving some good carbs for days so decided to give Ardsley Cucuna a try for the first time. I ordered a personal size margherita pizza and the puttanesca(?) pasta for delivery. The pizza was really good. Had a good sauce-mozzarella-basil ratio. The pasta was decent but way too salty; however, kind of expected it because of the listed ingredients (olives, capers, anchovies). The olives overpowered everything else in the dish - could've done with less or smaller pieces. Also, the farfalle was past al dente, but again, kind of expected since I got it for delivery. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially considering that it was for delivery. Would love to try dining in next time :) read more

I usually don't write reviews but I stopped by this place on their grand opening after one of the guys came to my job at House of Sports to get the word out of their business opening. When I first walked in everyone greeted me and was super nice! I ordered and the food was ready in a quick amount of time!! I ordered a small margherita pizza and shrimp parmigiana which comes with a side of pasta and a side salad. This food was very delicious! Once labeled the Brumeda triangle of restuarants, this building has seen it's fair share of eateries come and go. Finally, a place that will last! Came here for lunch and ordered the Eggplant Wrap (I added avocado). WOW!! The eggplant was perfectly cooked, with a thin breading that didn't dominate the taste of the oft dominated veggie! Likewise, the avocado was fresh and plentiful. The wrap was also accompanied by fresh tomotoe and lettuce! But the fries, somehow, stole the show! The fries were fresh out the fryer, steaming hot and we'll seasoned. For the first time, I can honestly say I will be coming back to restaurant in the restaurant killer building! read more

UPDATE: wow how the mighty have fallen!! We have literally begged them multiple times to stop sending pizza with cheese slipping off ...they refuse. Soggy gooey mess 4-5 times in a row. Literally bread with pizza fallen off. Have been impressed with this place every time we have gone. Started with delicious slices and friendly staff, and then we graduated to the main course full meal side of the restaurant, and it has been even better. Very good pizza, though it is a bit pricey. Also would have liked larger pieces of chicken on my pie. But the staff was very friendly and polite. The place is very clean including the bathrooms...always a positive thing. When passing through again, would pop in for sure. Not only do they consistently provide us with great food but the service is always on point. I live 30 mins away and will drive to their location to eat on days that I am off. I've only done takeout from here but they have become one of our more dependable places to go to. The service is very good and the staff is friendly. They make a good slice here. The times that I've gone inside I couldn't help but notice the kind of effort that the staff puts forward. This use to be our go to place. We would either go there to eat or order out every other week until last week. Two weeks ago I ordered a chicken dish for delivery my son and it was terrible! The chicken was so tough I could barely cut it with the knife. I called to let them know and although they offered to send over a new one, they had an attitude about. I decline the offer since it was late and I had to get my son to bed in 30 mins and the food would be arriving at his bedtime. We then went into the restaurant last week and my ill feelings towards this place grew stronger. My son (7) and I walked in and there were a lot of people/small parties in the dining area but there were three empty tables. They offered us in a table in the pizza area even though I informed them we were ordering a chicken and pasta dish. The guy just looked around the dinning room area and then pointed to the pizza table again. The regular waiters that usually help us weren't there. So, we sat in the pizza area and we waited and we sat and waited..... 15 minutes! No menus, just an empty table and a hungry 7 year old. The dining room waiter came and delivered food to and cleared the table next to us in that 10 minutes and didn't acknowledge us at all. I finally walked up to the counter and told them how annoyed I was. They then offered for us to sit in the dining room. No one had left in that 15 mins and the same same three tables were empty. I told the guy behind the counter that we were leaving and that I would be writing a review about my past two experiences. We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Friday night, but the service was excellent. The appetizer was stuffed mushrooms (sizable and tasty), the complimentary cheesy-bread with fresca was very good. The dinner salads were nice sized servings. My choice for the entree was lasagna. It was delicious from beginning to end. The noodles, veal, cheeses, and sauce were well-balanced. My wife had meatballs with a choice of four noodles. The sauce was good, the ziti were good, the meatballs were a bit bland for me, but I think they are also used on children's dishes, so less spicy is better. This is probably the best Italian restaurant I've ever been too! Definitely a hidden gem! It's a small intimate place, great for a date or even a quick bite to eat. From the pizza to the shrimp parmigiana, everything at Ardsley Cucina is delicious and the prices are quite reasonable. Its a nice cozy restaurant and the owner and the waiters are fabulous. They make you feel like you are family and that is why you will see quite a few regulars in the restaurant all the time. They have free delivery as well. I would love to see booths in the restaurant and was quite disappointed that they cannot accommodate private parties but understandable because they don't have the room.
