I remember when this place first opened, around 2010 maybe, and the owner would stand outside on the street with a sign designating people to this restaurant. People talked about it because it was one of the first Asian owned businesses in this area. 15 years later I'm finally getting around trying this place. The inside is cute and a little campy. I like the sushi bar seating, which is a necessity at any authentic sushi bar. I was the first people here for lunch. I ordered one sushi roll and nigiri and waited 20 minutes. The dish arrived and I was impressed by the plating. The flavor was also solid. I really enjoyed my meal! I did notice that this place is Korean-staffed -- not saying they're not good at sushi, but that maybe their Korean entrees would be worth a try.

Shrimp Tempura Roll

Decent sushi, about average but not a lot of options in the area. I thought the prices for regular rolls were higher than most places. I wish they mentioned if a roll has cucumber so you can order without. I got overcharged for an extra roll I didn't get and it took a while to get corrected. Service was fine, we sat at the sushi bar and the servers would often reach over us to pick up other orders.

Kiss me again roll, salmon roll, salmon nigiri

Ari Sushi is always a hit. The fish is consistently fresh, the service is quick even when the place is packed (especially on weekends), and the cozy atmosphere makes it such an easy go-to spot. It's a small restaurant with only about a dozen tables plus the sushi bar, but that's part of its charm. Truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood with seriously delicious food.

Hidden gem. Best sushi in the Valley if you ask me. The sushi chefs and staff are always welcoming. Sushi and kitchen items are top shelf. The place has a great feel.

Fried rice that's not at all fried

Skip this, so unreasonable and wouldn't even talk to me. Ordered 8 rolls and wanted 1 kids portion and said they wouldn't do the kids portion to go. ‍ Not to mention the tables were sticky and not clean. When we got home the "fried" rice is simply white rice w vegetables added. All the sushi was crammed into one container, pretty janky. The rolls were all only ok. Way too many options to choose from, will not be back.

Cherry Blossom Roll

The rolls were made beautifully! Service was great - the chef and prep chef were very meticulous and the food was delicious. We had the Crazy Horse, Cherry Blossom, and California roll and they were beyond our expectations. Will be back soon :)

Excellent sushi. Great mom and pop place place. Very busy when I went. Teriyaki chicken was uninspired. Stick to the sushi.

Great food.. hidden little gem. Service inside is great, and so is takeaway. Better than any chain places in area.

The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our meal. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, the portions were generous, and every dish we ordered was delicious. While the restaurant is a bit hidden on the second floor of a small shopping center, don't let that discourage you. Once you find it, you'll be glad you did. I highly recommend Swan Sushi to anyone looking for high-quality sushi and outstanding service in Scottsdale. We'll definitely be back!

This was our first visit to Swan. We started with cocktails. My husband ordered the Pineapple Passion and I ordered the Heartbreaker. Both were very good and I think the bar has a nice selection of drinks. Only issue was pacing. I didn't get my drink until at least 10 or 15 mins after my husband. So he was almost done with his cocktail before I started. Not sure how this happens with a Bar order so that's a glitch that should be fixed. On the plus (?) side (for me), our waiter misidentified the drink as mine so I had many sips before realizing it was my husbands. The cocktails were good but, for $17/each, lacked embellishments. Also Swan needs to put a spicy cocktail on the menu. Our dinner was adequate and did take forever to come out. I actually really enjoyed the shishito peppers, which were nicely done. I was less impressed with the sushi. We ordered Happy Ending, kiss of fire, double double, and rainbow. Somewhat mediocre and lacking flavor. The fish did not look or taste fresh and was very thinly sliced. The rolls lacked any sauces so were quite dry especially with the dried out fish. I personally would not order any of these again. Disappointing bc I am so desperate for a good sushi place around here. The patio ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. I think our waiter was new, which resulted in some easily resolved glitches. But he was always apologetic and trying to correct. He apologized for the timing and kitchen slowness which must not be his fault. We will probably be back to try something different on the menu. If anyone can recommend a good sushi spot in north Scottsdale, please DM me.
