Writing about a takeout experience. Ordered a Beef & Lamb Gyro Wrap and a Mo's beef burger. Took about 15 minutes for us to get our food. I thought the Gyro Wrap was pretty good. I think I would ask for easy lettuce if I got this again. The burger was ok but a good portion. Could have used a better sear. Food, prices, and value. Since Gourmet Express on Alamo closed we have been looking for a Mediterranean spot. This place definitely scratched that itch. Ordered, lamb kabobs, chicken gyro substituted salad for fries and order of pita and hummus. The lamb was probably some of the best I've had!! Tender, flavorful. My sister and her family are here from Long Beach and said they wanted Mediterranean food. I had heard about Ariana's so we came to try it out. Our expectations were met and exceeded!! I ordered the beef/lamb gyro. The kids got the kids' plates with beef/lamb and chicken. My sister ordered the chicken salad and my brother in law ordered the Seekh Kabob. We all shared an order of the Greek fries. All of the food was delicious. The meats were tender and juicy and full of flavor. The pitas were soft and fluffy. The Greek fries were covered in tzatziki, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and beef/lamb. I am a BIG fan of gyros and have had my fair share over the years. This gyro was one of the tastiest I have ever eaten! The only thing I would have done differently would have been to add in more tomatoes. My brother in law thought the Seekh Kabob was the best he had ever had! The service was great - the workers were friendly and we had our meal within 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I arrive and the guy says 4 minutes and he's on the phone on a personal call juts chit chatting - I'm watching him make my salad with his hands and touching it cutting my pita bread with his hands no gloves ! This is hands down the best Mediterranean food I've had in Solano County! As a bit of a falafel snob, I was seriously impressed--the falafel was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, not greasy, and not dry. Just right. The place is spotless and has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful--one of the gentlemen might have been the owner, and his hospitality really stood out. He even took the time to recommend a vegan version of the platter (just a heads-up: the regular version includes cheese on the salad and a yogurt sauce). Our food came out quickly, everything was warm and flavorful, and the rice especially reminded me of authentic Persian-style rice--fragrant and fluffy. The worst! Ordered the chicken salad, the seekH dinner and the chicken dinner plate, and pita. When I called to order I asked if the pita comes with hummus and he said yes. When my daughter picked up the order, he said he didn't know what hummus was. Everything was extremely dry, like biting into cardboard. The chicken and the seekh didn't look like anything they posted in pictures. They got us once, but they won't ever get our money again. We love supporting local business, and this time I'm glad to report the owners and staff loved us back. Cool place with a really cool atmosphere with the music, lighting... and oh yeah. Authentic home cooked food. Even at 8pm the rice was perfect and the plate/bowl as you can see was perfect. Also had some of the chicken soup, not pictured, and the balance in the spices and flavors was through the rood. So glad we blew off a gyro place a mile or so away to come here instead. A lot of what ended up in the falafel bowl felt like largely filler; mostly rice and some basic shredded lettuce. Especially for something that should be more vegetables or primarily veggies, this missed on a lot of marks. The falafel were also half cooked and grainy also which left a lot to be desired on the lack of crunch and undesirable texture. The fries were decent though which doesn't stretch things much further. Definitely pricey for what it ended up being. Just felt cheap really. Though not inedible, there were many missteps and would rather explore other options. read more

Ariana Gyros & Grill is in the same building as the former Q Halal's. I actually came here maybe a year or two ago when then initially made the switch, but I don't think my review transferred over. Anyway, on our most recent visit, we ended up taking our food to-go since our daughter ended up falling asleep on the ride there (we didn't want to wake her since she's been teething, iykyk). Customer service was pleasant as usual. Our gyros and fries were savory and well seasoned. The last time we dined here, the food was a bit more salty (but still delicious). They have their kids running around outside playing hide and seek/tag throughout the area while I was trying to enjoy a beer at the University of Beer and I ended up leaving early because these kids were so wild, running and screaming in the UofB patio. Came here a few months ago with a couple of friends. We were immediately greeted by the staff and they helped us put tables together to fit our party. Within a few mins of ordering we sat and waited for our food. While waiting, we were offered delicious hot soup in these small cups which was so yummy and kept us warm until our food was ready. I stopped here on the way back home to Sacramento from the Bay Area. Ive never heard of it before, but found it on Yelp so decided to stop and try it out. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed with really anything. First issue was I ordered the Gyro roll, and it says that it comes with rice and fries inside. The guy working said to doesn't come with fries in it but I could order a side. I showed him where it said it had fries in it, and he basically said he didn't know why it said that. I also ordered extra meat and the portion definitely didn't seem extra. Last thing is I ordered a soda and It was light on the carbonation and ice. So it was close to flat and warm. Cute mom and pops establishment. After reading reviews on this place, we had to give it a try. Arrived when they just opened, so when we looked at the counter, they were still loading up the trays of ingredients which made the area look empty. The owner (I think) was very kind and suggestive on what we should try. We ended up ordering to-go two chicken gyros that came with fries. The food smelled wonderful and tasted delicious. They packed each gyro was lots of meat The tzatziki sauce and curry sauce was on the side. Our tummies were so satisfied. As a side note, fries don't do well to-go no matter where you order. I'll look forward to the day when a container for cooked fries will be made to keep fries freshly cooked and not soggy for about 15 minutes until you get home LOL. I wanted to try this place because of the 5-star reviews on here and it's definitely delicious. They didn't skimp on meat in the wraps and it's pretty flavorful. My boyfriend and I did ask for spicy, but we didn't think it was spicy at all for us. I liked my garlic fries because they put freshly cooked garlic on them and the fries weren't oily. The jalapeño poppers weren't oily either nor were they overly watery/juicy from the jalapeños. The only downside was the cleanliness, but it's most likely because there were only 2 people working at the time and it seemed like there were lot of people ordering in store and online. Plus, the tables were a little squished together in that small restaurant. I would still go there again. Hopefully, next time they have more help on hand! read more

Amazing. I was on calls all morning and had placed a pickup order in morning for the afternoon. Ordered the lamb gyro with fries and a coke. It was perfect, perfect, perfect. Good sized portion - I was stuffed. Meat was super tasty and not fatty. Kinda messy as I think I unwrapped it upside down. My bad. They did include a fork! The beef/lamb combo meat is very good, and I am not usually a fan of lamb. Chicken has good flavor, but is too dry. Rice is excellent. The little scoop of basic hummus on the plate is excellent. Today, i ordered my usual through DoorDash and when it arrived it looked like they only gave half of a handful of fries and only one set of sauce when I ordered 2 meals which would mean I get 4 sauces. Been here in the past with fairly good experience, but today was so terrible I won't come back again. I ordered two gyro wraps to go at the counter (1 beef/lamb-extra spicy & 1 chicken-mild). I was told 10-15 minutes wait, ok cool. The place was empty so I went and sat down. A couple walked in a few minutes later and placed their order and sat down as well. About 20 minutes later their order is finished and served to them before even starting on mine. In addition to being skipped, my order was made wrong. He instead made me 2 beef-lamb wraps. The only reason this was caught was because I was sitting in front of him. No apologies on the wait of anything he just remade the order and gave it to me after a total 25-30 minutes waiting. And the icing on the cake is there is no difference between extra spicy or mild on both wraps. They're both spiced (or not spiced) the exact same way. Wife and I decided on early dinner while running errands. Decided to give it a try dining in. The employee who helped was friendly but didn't speak nearly loud enough to hear. The food was good Greek food. We both had gyro plates. Chicken and Lamb/Beef...very tradional dish with rice, the meat and a salad. Some sort of humice on plate. All tasted good. There is some country pop (maybe KUIC) playing quite loud inside while there are three tvs on different movies playing without sound. Some kind of weird disco light projector pointing towards ground. All kind of simultaneously distracting and highlighting how dirty the dining room is. There was food under every table. The tables themselves also had food on each one and were sticky. We took napkins from another table and the fountain water and cleaned one table to sit. Our feet would stick to the floor when you move them, so we just ignored that. We read it was the "best Greek food in Vacaville" but I feel it tasted the same as the franchise one in the Nut Tree, which is much cleaner and feels better inside. The best part was that their soda machine was down but offered us the canned sodas in the fridge so that was really nice. My favorite was the aesthetics!
