Absolutely amazing homemade hummus. Probably the best I've had anywhere in LA. And the place is old school too in the best way. The owner sits outside sometimes talking with friends and customers as they come and go. More places should do that again. Very European in the best way. read more

Been coming here for years, our favorite Mediterranean place to go to. My husband and I either order the kabob or shawarma plate. So flavorful and tender. The salad is always fresh and comes with delicious dressing. Best garlic sauce and hummus we've ever had too. The owner knows us since we come in so often so tonight he offered us 2 falafels on the house since we had never tried them. They were so good, we will definitely be ordering that in the future. Wow, just had an amazing experience. The man at the register was so kind- I had forgotten my wallet at home and didn't realize until after I ordered. He gave me my meal for free. The house salad was fresh and not overly dressed, and the falafel wrap was delicious. I felt uncomfortable having not paid for my lunch, and I am so grateful for their generosity. I only happened upon this awesome little gem because Playa Pita was closed on a day it was advertised as being open and i was craving some plant-based, garlic goodness. This is my new favorite Mediterranean spot and worth the drive from Playa del Rey. They have tons of vegan options and even make the garlic crack sauce without mayonnaise. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I recommend hummus, tahini, baba ganouj, falafels, garlic crack sauce, tabouli and baklava. Try everything! It's clean and the owner understands customer service. This is one of the best Mediterranean food places in the area. My 90 year old mother LOVES their gyro sandwich, and goes nuts for their baklava, which is incredibly good. And we are pretty particular. I am vegan so I get the falafel plate, and they are so good at not forgetting to not add cheese to the salad for me. Rare these days. Falafels are good and never over dry. We like their dolmas as well. Friends have tried various other menu items and they have always enjoyed the meal. But in addition to the food, the service is great. So friendly, never complain about substitutions, and always make great suggestions which are always appreciated. Aristo is incredibly sweet! My friend and I both got the gyro wraps and ohhh myyy god they were amazing. Easily the best I've had. The gyro came with fries that were also amazing. Aristo also treated us to some baklava, which is delicious, because it was the end of the night and the first time we had been there. The food came out super fast-- like within 10 minutes. So the food here is actually very good and tasty, and reasonably priced. Great local lunch option. I really like the falafel wrap, the califlower, and the chicken shawarma plate. BUT service is just unprofessional at best - every time I walk in the owner (or who I presume is the owner) is screaming at his kitchen staff which can make customers feel very uncomfortable. Although it's a little thing, little things go a long way and they have a hard time saying hello when you walk in and often times you are just standing at the register waiting for someone to help you. I think a part of this is because they are short staffed - anyway just be aware when you come in here that the food is good, but the service has lots of room for improvement read more

Rude unfriendly service and when my order was brought out the cashier placed it on my phone and saw what she did and just walked away. She was cleaning and did not was her hands after using a dirty rag to clean the floor before helping customers and handling food serving plastic ware.
