Evelyn from Arizona Cold Air returned my call promptly at 7am on Friday morning and helped schedule a service call for Friday afternoon. Tom from Arizona Cold Air arrived on time and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. Tom was very professional, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem. He even imparted some of his knowledge on me so that in the future I would know the proper steps to take to not exacerbate the problem. An Honest Company! We called AZ Cold Air for a 2nd opinion, after another company quoted us an Outrageous price to replace our AC system. Steve came and looked over our system and told us it didn't Have to be replaced immediately. He also quoted us a price that was about Half of what the first company quoted (but the first company, Rescue One Air, Lied about the size of our home so they could claim we needed a bigger unit!). Wayne from Az Cold Air met with me and gave an estimate for replacing our heat pump this past July. It wasn't the highest or lowest, but he took the time to explain the whole procedure and exactly what was included as well as what options were available so I felt best going with his company. The work crew that came out started around 7am, and had the old unit completely removed and the new one installed and blowing cold air within just a few hours. Everything went exactly as was explained during the original estimate. The followup with rebates was great too, and customer service at all levels was excellent. As a side bonus after analyzing my power bill from the past couple months, I'm saving $142/month and it's about 8-10 degrees cooler at all times! read more

I had my roof AC unit replaced by Arizona Cold Air in 2017. I bought a brand new Rheem unit and 4 years later I have had to replace the capacitor four times and today my blower motor died. I called another company to look at the unit and they said unfortunately I was sold a lemon and although the part was covered the labor was not. However, he recommended I contact the company that installed it because a 4 year old unit shouldn't have these problems. I was sold a defective unit and if the company that installed it stands by their products they would most likely repair or replace it because it's a defective unit. When I called Arizona Air the owner apologized and said unfortunately you have had some bad luck, it happens sometimes but there is nothing we can do. He then proceeded to tell me about a TV he bought and how it prematurely stopped working, so he can sympathize... I'll never hire AZ cold air again. They don't stand behind their products. read more

We had them come out and give us an estimate they were able to come the next day , which was Saturday and Monday morning the said they would be at our home at 10:00 am and they were and the got to work right away very professional and it didn't take them long to remove the old unit and replace the old thermostat and walk us through it all made sure we didn't have any questions and were on time and provided the product just as they advertised . We had Arizona Cold Air replace our 20 year old A/C system at our house. The replacement was done in just a day. The process is completed using the existing copper lines running into and out of the house. Our lines had a hole which did not show up when checked. Arizona Cold Air was excellent in standing behind their work. After trying to locate the leak for a repair, it was determined that a replacement of the line was the best option. Outstanding! inquired on their website on a Friday to inquire about replacing my two 21 year old Goodman 3 ton units. Received a call back within 5 minutes. Appointment set with Wayne Hetland for the following Monday. Wayne arrived on time and spent a few minutes taking pictures and evaluating my current system. He provided a VERY REASONABLE quote to my satisfaction and I agreed to have the units installed the following Tuesday. On Tuesday the crew arrived at 6:45 am and they had both units installed by 1:30 pm. The crew was very professional, clean, and they placed drop cloths on all flooring surfaces. I was very impressed with the install crew. The install was very neatly done and I am completely 110% satisfied. I ended up going with their Ruud 14 seer Achiever series system. I am really happy with the company and the two new systems they installed in my house about 18 months ago. This summer, with several of us working at home has shown both systems need to be balanced to ensure a more even temperature. This was suggested as a potential issue by AZ cold air when they installed the units. The owner Mark came out and did an assessment. There are a couple ducting changes that could be made. However, during his visit he noticed that we had installed two Nest thermostats which did not allow the two stage system to run as it should. They reinstalled the original units that came with the system and it's now running on high. We'll give it a couple weeks and see if need to make any ducting changes. Highly recommended. read more

We had our first unit replaced by this company in 2009 and a different one in 2013. We originally used them because their bid was substantially less than several others we contacted but now I can add incredible service to the reason I would use them. We have the extended warranty with them and have had to use it a few times. They've always shown up quickly and solved the problem in a friendly, professional manner. I had to call them this morning because the older unit wasn't putting out cold air. They were here within two hours and installed a new capacitor and I'm back up and cooling! This company is the best in town. I'm selling my house and the A/C dies in June - not good. I call one company who comes out and can't figure out what's going on, but assures me that I'm screwed. I then call these guys. Their tech came when promised and found the problem quickly. He didn't have the necessary parts with him and I told him this could wait a day or two. Instead he drove from my north Phoenix house to Mesa at 4:30 to get what he needed. Got back at 6:00, worked until 7:45 and completed the repair. These guys are everything you could hope for: on time, knowledgeable, hard working, and honest. I'll never call any other A/C company again. read more

One star, only because there's no zero option. They gave a 2pm-4pm window, 4:08 I called them, 4:18 she calls me and said they're "about 25 -30 minutes away". She puts me on hold to talk to the guy, the guy calls and says he's en route, about 45mins away. OK, so "2-4" means "2 to maybe...pushing 5?" Just call and say you'll be late. I put stuff off to wait for you, and you were lacking in courtesy. read more

Well it has been two since my last review on AZ cold air. Still the AC unit, and everything else they did is perfect. Also the service for the AC unit was great too. With my company I have to a lot of work from in my garage. I received a Quote from AZ cold air, that I knew I was going to use to install a separate unit. I did receive two other proposals. All three where about the same cost "apples to apples". The HUGE difference was When I called Wayne the owner he answered my call on ring number two. We discussed a time to meet. Chris the manager was on time, and gave me a quote in less than 24 HRS. NO other company did that. They where all late to my home, took over a week to receive a proposal, and they where not even pleasant. So today my AC was installed. Chris was in contact with me the whole entire time. The guys showed up on time, and did an amazing install. While the guys where doing the install Chris stopped by my home. Chris did not like the design. I was happy with the design, but Chris wanted to make it better. He did. Love the new AC for the garage. worth every penny. Do your self a favor, use AZ cold air. read more

We had both of our units replaced and the team from AZ Cold air were very friendly and efficient. when they arrived I got introduced to all the crew so knew who was working on my house. They set up and made sure everything was protected including our wood floor, carpet and closet. They kept things clean and worked in a real timely manner. The only thing before they left we found a blue mark on a wall which they got cleaned up real fast. My one unit wasn't that old and they took it for me to the habitat for humanity store and got me a receipt for dropping it off. That was a real nice thing to do. This company installed a new AC unit on a home I recently bought. It has problems now. They used old parts during the install. I've had two professionals look at their work and both say they have no clue why they installed the unit the way they did, commenting that the work they did was 'crazy' and 'makes no sense'. First I hear Arizona Cold Air name on the radio while driving mid june, 2017 and called them up. I spoke with wayne and explained him what I need was replacing existing old and low seer rating none functioning 3 ton rooftop ac unit that is located 2 story townhouse. He said if it`s 1 unit rooftop unit his least expensive unit is $2,999 but he said if it`s one that goes on top of the roof nothing in attic or somewhere inside. I told him that I can leave with that even though I received 1 written estimate at $2,695 included everything and same 3 ton unit same brand but they were not advertising in radio and they were charging additional fees if I pay with credit card . So Arizona Cold air arranged an technician to come out and make sure my rooftop 3 ton ac unit was 3 ton rooftop ac unit I was explaining in order to get that $2,999 verbal estimate over the phone to go in writing but guess what that $2,999 3 top rooftop 14 seer ac unit can`t be install in this roof, WHAT? But They have another AC Unit brand name Rheeme can go in that roof for $4,918.25 If i pay with credit card or $4,775 if I pay cash. I`m an ProActive Real Estate Agent over 14 years and sold over 700 homes, land, commercial buildings and maybe flipped 300 homes after remodelling it and this company is one of the worst and dishonest company out there. My Ac technician was so backed up and I didn`t want to wait 3 week for him because I am flipping the townhouse but his price for better unit out the door is $2,900 with digital high tech big screen thermostat with 10 years warranty,.. Arizona Cold Air wasted my time and energy, Don`t let this happen to you even though they say in order to give you an written estimate in writing subject to inspecting the unit and site. Ask them to give you proposal or estimate subject to their requirements. They should of know better if that $2,999 unit won`t go or install every rooftop instead they were questioning me if that was one unit, everything goes on top of the roof. I have used Arizona cold air twice so far and have been extremely happy with them. The first time they replaced an AC unit during the peak of summer. They came within a day and installed an excellent unit in a couple of hours. I called them again today on a commercial property where I thought one of the units wasn't working as well as the others. The technician came within hours and did a thorough inspection. He then said the unit is very old but doing what it is capable of doing or was designed to handle. He didn't even try to persuade me to buy a new unit. And at the end, he didn't charge me a service fee or even a trip fee. He just walked away quietly saying he can't charge me anything as he didn't fix anything. I was stunned....very refreshing to see honest employees and companies like this one. read more

I had them come out to do a summer service and the guy said my AC drain line broke off when he was working on it and blamed it on the previous service company. At least he could have tried to hook it back up, instead it's just hanging there and the water is dripping on my roof. Not real happy with my first experience with them. read more

Best A/C I have dealt with. Called when our A/C went out and they were there within an hour. The unit was less than 10 years old and Chris checked the serial number and said the part was under warranty. They replaced the part for free and serviced the unit and it was working within 2 hours of the call. We paid only for labor. A few years ago I purchased a roof top unit for my daughters condo. I had 4 bids and they were the lowest by far and provided excellent service. I can't say enough about this company. read more

We can't say enough good things about the service Chris, Lionel, and Fabian gave us. We would give them 10 stars if possible. We called SRP for help in changing out our 20 year old split system. Within 15 minutes, we received a call from Az Cold Air, within two hours Chris came out and gave us a fair estimate, and within 24 hours Lionel and Fabian did a great job installing the new system. All three took great care and pride in their work. I purchased a new Ruud AC unit from Arizona Cold Air in 2007 & it worked well for 10 years. When I turned it on for first time this year it was very obvious that something was seriously wrong. I called the company & told them I had purchased a warranty with it & they had all my information. My repair was extensive & totally covered-i was amazed! Called them because I heard on the radio about their 3 ton heat pump installed for under $3,000.00. We set up an appointment for the next day, told the Tec what I wanted he then look over the place (1100 sq. mobile home) and said that he would not recommend the heat pump and went back to his truck to wright up an estimate for a gas heater and AC unit for $6,500.00, that just about paid for the 4 ton Carrier heat pump on my other home in Temp! When I asked again why he would not quote the 3 ton heat pump he went on about how there not efficient and I would be calling for service all the time. I got two other estimates one for $3,100.00 (gas heater and AC unit) and one for $4,200.00 for a 3 ton heat pump installed. Hottest day of the year hitting nearly 120 degrees. I arrive home from work to find the A/C has failed. I seriously thought I was out of luck calling on a Sunday, and figured they were probably hammered with calls due to the excessive heat. Fantastic dedication to fixing my AC issue. Chris called me 20 minutes before he got there, a great heads up so I only missed minimal work. The compressor was shot and told me it would need replaced and would need to call me later on logistics. He called me later to tell me that he could come back later that same day to replace the compressor after 5pm. He came back with Mark, and they worked on my AC unit in a monsoon! They rock!
