I always used to use reviews lightly because some people may just be disgruntled but now being on the other side...I will truly always review a company first and weigh those options. This company was absolutely horrible! I have used lots of large moving companies over the years and this was the worst experience I've ever had! They damaged my washing machine, broke a drinking glass, broke the glass top to my coffee table and damaged the foam pad for my family room rug. They showed up 5 and a half hours late due to "truck problems". Do they only have one truck? I purposely scheduled for first thing in the morning (8am) due to the heat and I had friends that could help during that time. AZ discount movers decided to show at 1:30 pm. At that time my help left me so that I had to direct and assist the movers all by myself. I suffered heat exhaustion (and possibly heat stroke!) due to getting to move during the hottest part of the day! They gave me a 5% discount that day, but when I called to ask for at least 20%, they told me best that they could do was 10% off. I nearly died for 10% off? I should have read more reviews........These people are cheap, cheap, cheap yet claim they care about customer satisfaction!! ha ha!. read more

Used them back in 2005 on a move from Chandler to Scottsdale and they damaged our bedroom furniture, destroyed an office desk, and damaged several night stands. Had a two hour window scheduled and at 15 til the end of the window, I thought I'd call to find out what the eta was...yeah, they were not en route or anywhere close to it. After I hung up I got a call from the "movers." They were stuck on another job with no eta. Ten minutes later a different crew was free. So an hour after that, they show up complaining that they were supposed to be off already. Very professional. They moved things fast enough, breaking only one item. In my experience, it was the first time movers broke something. There was no offer to pay or document the damage. After all was said and done, it wasnt worth dealing with them-- The crappy part of the story comes once we get to our destination. One mover felt the need to insult my destination home. Was he after a bigger tip? He was a the lazy one, making the other guy do most of the work. He was also the one who complained to me when I requested that they not slide heavy furniture over my wood floors. **The first response to this review was not helpful and provided no path forward. As for movers, the guys worked hard and the price was competitive. But our things had to go into storage for a month and once they delivered things we found broken plates and pictures and missing tools and a ceiling fan. Then hoping they would take the high road and reimburse us? Nada. It took forever (months) and they sent us a pittance; along with a take it or leave it letter and check. Just had this company move me. My apt was 795 sq ft and i had everything boxed and taken apart for them when they arrived as to make the move easier. I moved exactly .83 miles down the road and the move took over 4 and a half hours. I am not exactly complaining, but for the cost of $383.00 i could have done it myself by just renting a truck and having a friend help. They were friendly and did not break anything, but next time i will do it myself or have a company come out and bid my move. If you have heavy furniture then this is a good options as they were careful with my things, but for the cost versus the actual work/Time i would move myself on the next go around. read more

Had a move with them a month ago. They sent us two guys who showed up 20 minutes late. One of the guys was very professional and apologized for being late. That same guy took extra care of our furniture, making sure to disassemble and pad everything. That other guy though was the opposite! He wanted to get done with the job as soon as possible. He ended up breaking an outlet and stuffing all the furniture padding they used (and their trash) in our backyard while we weren't looking. I would not recommend these movers. I recently had this company move my home from Gilbert to South Phoenix. The guys were great. They were scheduled to start at 7:00 but called because they were caught in traffic. They got there at 7:30 and got started immediately. I don't think they stood still all day. We had a house full of stuff to move including a piano, and a pool table. My family and I moved right after Christmas and we had a new Cuisinart Coffee maker a new Bother sewing machine, still in product box, moved one block away from our home and they both did not make it to our new house. DISAPPOINTED! We used this company for a move in November 2022. I have no complaint about the pre-move process; they were very easy to work with as far as obtaining our quote and setting up the move. Once move day came, it has been all down hill since then. We stressed to them as well as to the movers that our main concern was our bedroom set. Of course, that was the first thing that got damaged. My sister made me a table out of pieces of glass, it was packed and padded very carefully, unfortunately, it was crushed in the move. The movers did work very hard, they just were not as careful with things as they should have been. It has now been 4 months since filing a claim with this company and providing proof of the damage that had been done. I call every week or two to get a status update on the claim and I am always told that it's being mailed out and I'll have it in a couple days. BOTTOM LINE: They were paid in full and have never taken responsibility for what they damaged and STOLE. I was assured , as all their ads state, that my belongings would be in climate controlled storage. I would never have used them. Well, what can you expect but another bunch of lies. The first move I did with them resulted in $500 being taken. The estimate for the move was $1,400. They would not take a check (explicitly said they would only take cash) so I originally had $1000 in cash. There were paid within a week for the balance. On the second move they were 3 hours late and they were paid what I was told would be the cost. My belongings were not in a climate controlled setting. All my paints, polymer clay, stamps and stamp pads along totaled over a $20,000 investment over the uses. Over 50% of those were now useless. Thomasville furniture delaminated from the heat. They promised it would be fixed, but nothing was done. I have NEVER been reimbursed a single penny for all the damages and missing items that disappeared. This is a blatant lie!!!! read more

**HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & BUSINESS ETHICS** I hired this company to move my belongings in to a new house. Several items were damaged. I took pictures and submitted a damage claim report, as they instructed me to do. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks to process the damage claim. I contacted them after the allowed time because I hadn't heard anything. I was told the claim was processed and they were mailing me a check to cover the damages. I waited 2 weeks but did not receive anything in the mail. I contacted them AGAIN and was told the check was being mailed that day and I should receive it within 2 days. When I finally received the check, there was a letter accompanying it that stated only 2 of the 5 items damaged had been approved. I contacted them again inquiring why the other 3 items were not approved when I had taken pictures and provided clear evidence of the damage. No response. This company has horrible customer service and sketchy business ethics. I will NEVER uses them again or recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I hired discount movers and I truly regret it. First of all, they changed my moving date a few days before I was scheduled to move! They made sure I didn't have time to hire another company. Thank goodness I had 2 days off to move. The movers were sloppy to say the least. They lost obe of the legs from my sofa and just left it lying on its side in my living room! Wow..they didn't know where it was packed. Than after moving my furniture around I noticed there was a large tear on the couch! It happened when they cut the plastic wrap off..unbelievable!. when I called the office and spoke to Stephanie, she said she would send me a form to fill out for damages. 2 weeks later I still had not received anything. I called again, she said she would mail again. Stephanie stated that because I didn't purchase the additional insurance, there probably is not much they will be able to do. WOW, these guys were amazing. moving is such a stressful thing and these guys made it look like a cakewalk, all while being very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. stephanie in the office was wonderful with keeping us updated on arrival time, and deserves recognition for her excellent customer service. the move went a little later than expected, but the crew came straight from a huge job in the morning way out in the desert to us to move into our third floor apartment (no elevators), and didn't try to reschedule us for another day despite the sun being down. we had a full apartment that we moved ourselves from ohio and it's been an extremely long and arduous process with lots of road bumps along the way, and their help was a literal godsend. we have had a lot of movers in the past (4 moves in the last 5 years) and they have all gotten the job done, but these guys were careful, quick, prepared, and experienced, even when moving the incredibly heavy oak bedroom set up the small stairs. i've never felt better about a move and will absolutely use them in the future if necessary. stephanie, nick, carl, josh, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! read more

I find it very disturbing that the only reviews on Yelp are the bad ones. We used this company in the past and I must say that the guys who came to move us worked their tails off. We were in an apartment and had a large storage unit at a different location. I spoke directly with the owner every time I called and was quoted a fair price to which they adhered to. They arrived when they said they are going to be there and were very careful with preparing everything they needed to move. The move was done quickly but effectively. First off I must say that some of the bad reviews are shocking to read. They called me the night before my move and also the morning to inform me they had only two men. One of the men got sick (heat exhaustion) so I did help pack which was no problem, I learned how to pack with care. They sent another guy out to the new location so I had James and Darnell (sorry if I got your name wrong Darnell) and they unloaded, and made a stop to storage for me. These guys are awesome, not a thing was broke (only 1 figurine) and I packed that. Lol But in all they are very professional and I will use them again. Sent a different crew, Josh and another mover. Josh made up for the problems and did a great job, I told him I'd hire him when I move. July 2020 - called and requested Josh for September 5 at 7:30 am, listed all items that needed to be moved, only large pieces as we already moved boxes, etc. Requested mattress covers also. We took apart beds and moved all items downstairs except what we couldn't carry. 8:15 am, I called and talked to Stephanie, she told me the crew called in sick and she was working to get another crew, she was very nice and was working to find a solution, kept me updated regularly. 1:30 pm John and 2 other guys came and started about 2. Items were brought downstairs quickly but some were being tossed down the stairs. I was told they only had one mattress cover, due to truck not being prepped because they were rushed from another job. 2 mattresses ended up getting very dirty. John spent the entire time talking and kept telling us he was 'training' his crew, he was very condescending to them. We kept walking away as he was wasting too much time talking, eating up my money. He told us how he has thrown items off a 2 story balcony many times and I told him, not with my things. He also talked non stop about an 80" TV he was trying to earn with good reviews. After more than 6 hours, (move was 15 minutes away) lots of items not moved, including a tv console that was left upstairs. Took us 12 more trips in my SUV to get items moved. At the end of the evening, he was on the phone with Stephanie, trying to get my husband and myself give him a good review, putting us on the spot and handing us the phone. I bought them pizza and tipped each driver. Stephanie gave me a 5% discount which was a slap in the face (that's what she was authorized to do), then told me her manager would call me Monday, September 7. No phone call, I called on 9/8, had a long conversation with Stephanie and she stated her boss would call me back. Amy texted me later that evening and said she will reach out on 9/9. No call, I texted her on 9/10, she responded she was short staffed and wasn't feeling well, she'd call me after 5 pm. 9/15, I texted stating I've been very patient, it's been 5 more days. She is still sick, stating she'd call 9/17, she then texted asking if I am available 9/18. 9/21, I texted back, still no call, nothing. She responded stating she was in the hospital sick on 9/22, that Stephanie would call me by Friday 9/25. No phone call. There are other owners that could have handled or could have been delegated to other employees. A good owner would ensure the customers are taken care of and not completely blown off for 3 weeks. I've never had customer service this horrible. After being settled in the home for a few days, we found that 2 legs broke off my dryer and my file cabinet was broken, top drawer smashed in and bent. File rack was broken. I feel that 2 hours was wasted in John talking and 'instructing' the crew what to do even though they were completely capable. read more

I scheduled with arizona discount movers because my daughter used them twice with no issues (other than having to purchase DEF for their driver because the truck ran out during the move). They were nearly two hours late to start. This required them to move furniture in the dark. The first thing they did was ask for the tip in cash and made sure they were getting a tip before they started. After they loaded the furniture they had to get gas. I left 10 minutes after they did. It took 25 minutes to get to the unloading address. I waited nearly an hour and finally called them. They were lost. My son had to go find them and escort them to the unloading address. They charged me for that entire time. I called the office the next morning and was told she would look on GPS to determine how much credit. After 3 phone calls and nearly a week later, she said she would credit me 15 minutes. Essentially the time at the gas station. It has been almost 2 weeks since I was told I would receive a credit, and still nothing. One shelf was damaged and I have scuff marks on a wall. Some of the furniture still had the plastic around it. They sent two guys, but it was only one that did most of the work. The 2nd spent his time complaining. read more

I previously posted that this business had shown up late for my move. This is true but I wrote the review in anger. I still believe that the tardiness is inexcusable, but in fairness they did attempt to make up for the issues. I received a discount for the trouble. The movers were professional and very careful with my things. I had about 15 boxes and 5 pieces of furniture. The whole move took approximately 2 hours with travel time and all. They wrapped each piece of furniture and even offered to unwrap it! I felt safe with essentially strangers in my home at night alone. I will use this company again even though they were very late. It was fantastic service, and they have done everything in their power to make a less that ideal situation better. In all fairness, I have used these movers twice and the first time was great. The second time however was an absolute nightmare. 1. They were late. Really late. Granted they called me and told me they were running late for the 8 am or around there start time. The first time they called and said they were running twenty minutes late or so. An hour later they called and said they were on their way. Personally, I set an alarm every day to get to work on time, but whatever. 2. They argued with each other. It was kind of uncomfortable. 3. Took smoke breaks. I don't pay people to smoke on my time, AND I know people personally who can manage to get through four hours of work without smoking two or three cigarettes while the other guy does all the work. 4. Dry wall? damaged. Large gouges in the hallway. 5. They left solid Maple bedroom furniture standing on end, I almost killed myself getting it right side up. They took a mirror off an upstairs wall that was extremely heavy. Unfortunately they should have asked me if it was even suppose to be moved because it was staying with the house. I saw it on the truck and asked them to unload it, but instead of taking it back upstairs and rehanging it, they just left it outside propped up against the house after they took off of the truck. 6. They asked me if I had tools they could use and seemed angry when I didn't. Um, hello people, I'm moving everything is packed! You would think that movers would be prepared with things like tools AND their own water because I don't have time to be a hostess while I'm moving. Here's the thing: I actually referred three other people I know who all used them. So they made several thousand dollars in revenue from that business. I obviously can't leave reviews on the behalf of those people but I know they won't use them again and I will NEVER use them again nor will I ever refer anyone to them again. I would be to embarrassed. I did call a few days after my move when things settled down for me and left several messages for the manager, just to give them some feedback. The guys I talked to said to me in an insulting and sarcastic tone "so I suppose you want some money back?" I honestly wasn't expecting money back. What I was expecting was an APOLOGY, and maybe an explanation and a little commiseration over my utterly crappy morning spent with those movers, that I was so desperate to get rid of I told them to leave all of the boxes in the garage and just go.
