A few great things about Armando Cassano Hair Studio: 1) I have never been kept waiting for an appreciable amount of time (a wait of 5 minutes or less is no big deal) and 90% of the time there is no wait at all. 2) As a small salon, you don't feel like an anonymous customer. After having such a great experience at Terra Spa, (I wrote a review but it got moved to the "not recommended" section :( so BOOOO!) I decided to try the salon next door Armando Cassano Hair this week as my hair definitely needed a boost. I figured if I was going to try a new salon, I wanted the owner so I booked with Armando himself. I have long. very dark hair that I've not colored since my mid 20's. When I sat in Armando's chair, I explained that I was looking for a cut to manage my very thick hair as well as possibly make a slight change in the color. Armando took a look and gave some suggestions, including some subtle highlights. I decided new year, new hair. While I was getting my hair done, Armando was extremely personable and put me at ease. He was concentrating on the cut/color but also chatting me up. He is very charming so I must say this haircut was actually a fun way to end my day after being at work. He took my almost black brown hair and added warm caramel highlights. I absolutely love it. The warm, rich color is perfect for winter and it looks very natural. I didn't have tons cut off but Armando did give me lovely, long layers and reshaped my hair where it falls so beautifully now. He was also able to thin it out so it's nice and bouncy but still very thick. All in all, a great experience. I will definitely be returning to the salon. read more

Armando Cassano Hair, where have you been all my life? After going to Armando's sister spa last year, Terra Spa, I ended up making an appointment with Armando, the owner, in early 2015 to have my hair done. I have been there 4 times this year and I have to say, I am beyond thrilled to have found such a great colorist and stylist. Armando is an extremely gracious salon owner and always makes me feel welcome and special when I am there for my appointments. He has been able to take my almost black brown hair and warm it up quite a bit with golden/caramel highlights and still make it look natural. I get compliments all the time from co-workers and friends asking where I get my hair done. He has also managed to give my very thick, wavy hair a stylish cut that I can manage in the day to day whether I want to wear it sleek and straight or relaxed waves and curls. The salon itself is very clean and modern. Armando offers a wide variety of hair products, including lines that you don't see in many other salons like Davines. His wall display of products is almost as impressive as his knowledge of the products.He recommended a curl serum that I am OBSESSED with now. All in all, I just love the salon. I had such an amazing experience here! Being relatively new to Dedham, I have yet to find a stylist that I love (leaving an old one is like a breakup). So after searching Yelp, I decided to give the Armando Cassano Hair Studio a shot. I wanted about 3 inches cut off my hair, and a drastic color change. I decided to go from blonde (golden blonde with lighter highlights) to an all-over darker brown color. My stylist was fantastic. He brought out several color samples and discussed my options with me. He took his time, did the calculations on colors, and brought over the instructor. The instructor agreed with her math, the assessment of my hair, offered a few suggestions, and then left my stylist to do her thing. Once my hair had the color applied, I got an offer for a hand and arm massage while the color was processing. I was impressed. About 5 months ago i went to dallaria salons in norwood and had an awful experience hair wise and i was very resistant on trying another salon. Through a friend armando cassano salon was highly recommended. I took an appointment with tina. She was very sweet and underatood my concerns and gave me the ultimate foil and haircut!!!! Not only have i recieved tons of compliments but its by far my favorite color and cut ever i only wish i found them sooner..The receptionist was great i met the owner Armando who was super!!! I have been to this salon a few times after purchasing a buy with me deal. I have never had anything but great service. From the front desk to the owner, I have always felt very welcomed and that my needs we being met. I at first saw Tina to cut my hair and she did an incredible job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and was very attentive to my sometimes challenging hair. I have since returned and had Erin do my color. My color came out exactly how I wanted it and I was very impressed with her blow drying skills. I have not been this happy with my hair in years. I have been going to Armando every 5 weeks for many years. He has been coloring my gray hair the entire time and it never looks harsh or unnatural. In the summer, he lets it get a little blonder and then tones it down in the fall. It looks better than when it was my own hair color. I have dead straight hair with little body except in the most humid months of summer. Armando gives me a cut all year that looks mahhhvelous even though I do nothing to my hair except part it and brush it when I get out of the shower. Now that takes talent! It took me more than a month to write this review since I got my hair done here but I have not forgotten the great experience! I was in need for a miracle haircut after a horrible experience when I decided to cut my hair short somewhere else. Then I found this place after doing some research, and Eric James gave me the perfect haircut and highlights. I don't know how you did it but you managed to make it look nicer and even without making it shorter which is exactly what I wanted. I am still very grateful for that!!! The best hair salon I've ever been to. The hair stylists and owner are the extremely nice, sweet, and funny too! I got my hair done by Erin for a wedding. She decided to do a gorgeous up do...just like a pin up girl! I got so many compliments about my hair at the wedding. I get my hair cut here as well and I've never walked out of this salon upset at all! I suggest you try it out. They also have a spa next door called Terra spa. I am very impressed with Armando Cassano Hair Studio! My experience at the salon was great. The salon is very clean and the staff are both professional and friendly! Walking into Armando's hair salon after having worked with another popular salon for over 10 years, I would be lying to say that I wasn't nervous. Now, however, if you ask me what I think? I don't think I will ever walk into another salon and be as happy/pleased as I was after my experience with Armando's. Usually I get the same old color and a few light blonde highlights...but when I walked out, I felt modern and fashionable! The highlights had such amazing tones and the cut was great.
