    Skirt Steak (3) Tacos
    Stacy C.

Had dinner from Armando's delivered. First time trying it. The chicken nachos were huge. There was enough for three people. I really like the nacho cheese they use. More chips would have been nice because they were buried under all the toppings. The chicken had a good flavor. Also had the skirt steak tacos. They were okay, but I will probably try something else next time. I liked that they were topped with guacamole, but the steak was a little too chewy.

I ordered the tacos locos which come with your choice of meat and shrimp. Delicious and definitely one of my fav places when I'm in the area visiting friends and family.

This place is absolutely outstanding! Every bite is packed with unexpected flavor, and you can tell that everything is made in-house with real care, from the sauces to the chips, all fresh and beautifully presented. I tried the steaks, Wagyu tacos, and everything was cooked on point, big shout out to the chef, my all-time favorite has to be "The Tuna" it's a total show stopper and easily one of the best dishes I've ever had. The atmosphere is perfect for groups, and the staff makes the experience even better, friendly, attentive, and fast with service. Truly a 5-star spot that I'll keep coming back to!

Después de comer , que no falte la piña colada. Todo bien medido , se substituye por un postre. Riquísima!

Armandos food and drinks are off the hook ! So much authentic flavor , ready to give you the best service , feels like your at home . Ambiance is amazing too for a night out to a company lunch outing. 100% recommended.

Armando's be hella poppin. If you like Mexican food but don't like Mexicano culture or our loud ass music, then don't show up to this spot n be a f'n kill joy. This place aint for uptight hueris. It's fo the people. La Banda is live and they slap! Don't forget to tip em in cash. The food was top notch. They give you that real carne asada not that bs diesmillo that other spots try to pass off as skirt steak. No, this is the real deal. Thank god. The aguachile was up to par and for my first time trying Mexican sushi it was pretty alright. I probably would do it again to be honest. In the men's restroom there was hella pictures of Latinidad, an appropriate display of culturally iconic images and intergenerational representations. Proper. I really appreciated that. Will definitely be back the next time I'm heading down this way!

Linguine in Chipotle Sauce with chicken

I am traveling for work so I am eating alone on a Friday night. They gave me a choice of a couple of tables. I chose the high top. When you eat alone, restaurants often want to seat you at the bar. I don't like eating at the bar. My waitress was prompt. She made a drink recommendation...La Korita, which was excellent. I ordered the chips and guacamole, always wonderful. I believe the chips are made in house. For the entree, I ordered the linguine in chipotle cream sauce with chicken. OMG! This was amazing! It's spicy but I love spicy. It's a lively, fun place with great people, food and service. It's clean and brightly decorated, very festive! I'll be back.

Came in on a monday for lunch & stayed till dinner... of course it was the catching up & drinking, but as long as they kept the cervesas coming, No Problem @ on the refills & them checking up on the table making sure you good, food & drinks, they are On It. Sushi, the rice was a little bit too wet for me, ceviche (seafood) not too much shrimp & a little bit too pricy. Nachos was alright but, you cannot mess up nachos if you have the works on it (if your a nacho lover) this is a must try. BirriaTacos, Yummm & the consume is cool vibe going on inside BUT the music a little bit too loud, especially if al your trynna do is chill, have some cervesas & catch up. Parking Sucks cause it's located in a mini plaza w/little to none parking for the other businesses in the same vicinity. Will be back of course, cause you can't try a place Once & base your whole opinion on that visit.

The seafood here was so delicious! I loved that the Aguachiles Verdes were actually spicy. The margaritas were good but not strong at all. Service was ok. Cool ambiance. They go all out for birthdays BTW

Came here on a Friday afternoon after work with a few of my work buddies! This place is smaller than what we imagined, however, they have it decorated nice. what we order: -FLIGHTS 5/5 it comes in various flavors -SHOTS 4/5 -COCTEL 4/5 -QUESABIRRIA 5/5 (big tacos with consume) The food is pretty good! Service is okay, wish it was a bit faster. They do tend to take their time! To the point where you have to look for them to get the bill and a box. But overall servers are very polite. Parking for this location is a bit hard because at times this place gets packed.

They took frozen margaritas off happy hour, and Taco Tuesday's now $2 per taco. More upset about the frozen margaritas, tbh. Ah well.

The cocktail menu is inspired by records, and you can feel the creativity in every sip. These aren't your standard bar pours -- they're clearly thought out and crafted with personality. If you're someone who appreciates a drink with a story behind it, you'll be in your element here. The live DJ on weekends takes the whole experience to another level. The music isn't background noise -- it's part of the atmosphere, and it hits right. What makes this place truly special is that you're getting two completely different vibes under one roof. Walk into Still OG up front and you get a casual, laid-back energy -- easy conversation, good company, no pretension. Then slip into the speakeasy in the back and the whole mood shifts. Alter Ego is a proper intimate lounge with their full bar, and it feels like a world away from the street outside. The transition between the two spaces is surprisingly seamless and genuinely fun to experience. And they're open late, which puts them in a rare category of places actually worth staying out for. Whether you're there for a chill night out or a proper evening, this place delivers both without making you choose.

Can still remember the gourmet dogs and duck fat fries back in the days... Awesome what they did to the place. The new set up with the dim lights and neon menu is noice. Ended up chilling at the front bar. Definitely will return to explore the back at a later time. Food: A We got to sample a variety of goodies and drinks from the menu, which definitely hit the spot. The skewers were cooked just right with a kiss of smoke from the grill. The takoyaki were good as expected--yum. We ended the excursion with the milk bread; it was surely a crowd-pleaser. It was fluffy goodness, topped with furikake, and served with a side of decadent house butter. Drinks were perfectly crafted and refreshing. Service: A We were chilling at the bar and got to hang with staff. Cool folks, will be back. - John

My husband and I had a baby free night out to celebrate my birthday and haberdasher did not disappoint. We went soon after opening so there was no line but I know they tend to have one later in the evening. We were greeted warmly at the door by the attendant who checked our ids. I was even wished a happy early birthday. When going into the bar, you walk down a staircase into a space that makes you forget you're in downtown San Jose with beautiful reds and burgundy decor. The staff is all smartly dressed; the bartender and bar back were both sweet and funny. I ordered a jack rose (my all time favorite), their seasonal watermelon waltz (this may be a new favorite for me, nice and refreshing) and one of their zero proof cocktails called a Mariposa which was soooo good as well. Memorable drinks were the perfect pear and the Andean Ascent. Perfect pear was not fruity at all and had a nice aroma and spice to it. The Andean ascent was a nice drink to start with, refreshing with a bit of fizz.

Date of Visit: 6/13/2026…read more We visited the Eos & Nyx located in downtown San Jose on a Saturday early afternoon for brunch. Eos & Nyx is a vibrant dining destination with outdoor patio and loft style indoor dining room and open bar and kitchen. The menu includes locally sourced produce and seafood, mixed with Mediterranean cooking techniques. Eos & Nyx has also a fascinating cocktail menu, with brunch focused cocktails. Trix Aren't For Kids $18 Two husbands ordered the brunch cocktail, made with gin, trix, rice milk, ginger, passionfruit, cream, lemon, and egg white. A bit too sweet. Strawberry Spumoni $17 I got the strawberry brunch cocktail with bitter aperitivo, strawberry, fluffy grapefruit, and tonic. Cute but not memorable. Filipino Grand Slam $24 We ordered the amazing grand slam with Filipino longanisa, on the side there was garlic rice, fried eggs, and decorated with spiced vinegar. Pipikaula Ribs $32 The other main course we got the smoked pipikaula ribs, with kimchi fried rice, sunny eggs, and sprinkled scallion on the top. Chilaquiles $29 Another main course we had was the confit duck leg, mole rojo on the side. And on top there were feta and cilantro sauce dressing and a sunny side up egg on top. Caesar with trout $26 We also got a Caesar salad made with bibb & gem, Parmigiano Reggiano, herbed crouton, and boquerones. There was an option to include chicken or trout as the protein. We chose the trout and it was great with crispy skin and tender meat.
