I did order through a 3rd party so maybe dining in would go better but in these times you know many opt to eat at home. I ordered a sopa de pata.. when I got the one container I got a little concerned since many places send 2 since the bones/corn take up a lot of space but I was still optimistic. When I tell you I opened it up and only got a pata,5 pieces of tripe, a leaf of cabbage, yuca and a 1/6 of corn on cob. No other vegetables .. nothing. I was like wow. Were they out? Service sucks , some of these waitress are rude without any customer service experience . Specially the red hair waitress . I ordered 4 pupusas and an order of plátanos . My pupusas should have been 2 frijol con queso and 2 revueltas . Good took forever to get to our table and then my pupusas were wrong all I tasted was cheese and beans . My ordered was "fixed" but only one replacement pupusas was given to me after I was told they would bring my food right away . I told the waitress it's suppose to be 2 she said yes they are cooking it . It would have been nice to have that communicated with me . When my order of plátanos finally arrived they were not ripped very dry . The pupusa that was my replacement I thought it was another beans and cheese . I couldn't taste the chicharrón all o tastes was that cheese they use with the beans . They don't come check on you , at all so if you need something you have to get up and go find them . Best pupusas in LA hands down! I've searched far & wide and I actually stumbled jumpin this place on accident looking for another pupusa spot. I'm sure glad I did because I now drive from Van Nuys just for the pupusas when there are dozens of Salvadoran spots in my zip code. The pupusas are always hot off the grill with never ending cheese strings. The beans are phenomenal, I'm not sure how they cook them but they are second to none! The best part is the service is amazing the staff is so kind and the price point is beyond reasonable especially for today's standards. Armenia Sonsonate exemplifies Salvadoran style hospitality. I ordered a lot of food through DoorDash including tamales de pollo. They ran out of tamales de pollo so they sent my order with extra pupusas which they made extra bigger. Things like this, or being called "mi corazon" by a server is the kind of Salvadoran service found in many pupuserias around L.A. The platanos fritos were classic. The pupusas were very enjoyable, but be aware that their portion size is a bit smaller much like a lot of pupusas you might find in El Salvador. (The extra pupusas they sent were made bigger than the others) I do have to say that the pupusas were a little oily, but I was enjoying them soo much that I didn't notice until someone else mentioned it. Usually I don't like escabeche, but this one I liked a lot. It was orange rather than red, and more spicy than vinegar-forward. I'm definitely adding Armenia Sonsonate to my list of good pupuserias. read more

But today I had a bad experience with the owner (Gabby's Mom) tried to take my order but I told her in nicely manner that I was waiting for Gabby. when I placed my usual order with Gabby I was informed that they couldn't make my plátanos grilled because her mom who's the owner ordered to don't make it they way I wanted due to the fact that she supposed got offended just because I requested Gabby as my waiter over her, this made me really uncomfortable because she's didn't have no reason to do that.
