I've never had a bad experience at Aroma--their food and drinks are incredible! Staff is always kind too which is a plus. My favorite dish is the Smoked Salmon Toast. Their maru coffee is also really delicious. If you're looking for something new, try the Summer Espresso. It might be weird drinking lemonade with coffee but it's really good! I discovered this place on Yelp looking to find something close to home and different than fast food. The Taiwanese Sausage Panini is what I was most interested in trying and it did not disappoint. I was expecting it to be more savory, but it's on the sweet side. That being said, it's not a turn off. I also ordered the iced Sea Salt Caramel Latte. I like my coffee sweet so I did add a few packs of Splenda. This coffee is very tasty. I love caramel coffees and this is a drink I would get again. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere in here. It's super chill, they have great decor and good music playing. I can't believe I've overlooked this place for so long. I can't wait to come back and try more. Wow. This place is amazing. I came for the food which was delicious, had the Taiwanese Panini 10/10 Caramel Brulee Latte was perfect. Not sweet, just the right touch. The lady who took our order recommended their honey black tea, not realizing it was a cold brew bottled tea... it is SO GOOD AND SO SMOOTH. We ordered two more bottles to go. All the toasts/benedicts/crostinis are HUGE and come with a generous portion of toppings - whether it be avocado, smoked salmon, or whatever kind you ordered. Presentation looks great and is delicious. Average price of these items average $14 which is reasonable considering how much stuff they put on top of the carb portion of your food. Coffees are pretty good and reasonably priced at $5. I wouldn't recommend ordering their desserts though. Got the green tea tart and although it is pretty large, it definitely is not worth the $11-13 price. I've never seen anywhere charge over $10 for a tart but I just wanted to try it cause I was craving it and it sounded good at the time. Inside has red bean in between the green tea layers. The red bean was fine but I wasn't a fan of the texture of the green tea part of the tart. It's very jello-y and I just didn't like the consistency of it. read more

Tried this place with friends today! They have both in and outdoor sitting with shads outside. Ordering was easy; you ordered at the counter and pay and they will call your name for pick up. I tried their tea today and it's good. My friends loved the cream brûlée latte! We ordered an avocado toast (generous amount of avocado), a smoked salmon toast and a roasted beef toast and a desserts trio! Everything was refreshing, healthy and tasty. Prices are decent! This little coffee shop is very adorable and the aesthetics are woody dessert vibes. You order when you first walk in and seat yourself anywhere that is available. I got the smoked salmon toast, and it was good. However, it was not worth the price... it was practically a piece of toasted bread, some greens, smoked salmon, and egg, and some sauce. For the smoked salmon toast, it was $12. There wasn't anything necessarily special about the toast that made it worth it for me. I also got the matcha latte w/ oat milk and it was more coffee than a matcha taste which is amazing for coffee drinkers! I was a little blown away because most places use extremely sugary matcha powders and barely add any coffee in it. The matcha latte has an espresso shot so it's great for coffee drinkers! We also got the roast beef toast which my sister LOVED. I wasn't able to eat it since I'm pescatarian but she really enjoyed it. She also got the matcha milk which is matcha latte WITHOUT the espresso, and she said it was okay. It was extremely milky instead of matcha. Overall, if you're looking for a nice coffee shop for business or studying, this would be a great place for coffee and small foods, but personally I wouldn't go again, it was a little pricey for their quality. read more

Nice place for coffees and foods, but omg be aware that the restroom locks might not be great. I used the first restroom on the right hand side and I promise I did lock the door. I'm sure I did because at one point I heard someone try to turn the doorknob but because I'd locked the door, no one came in. The second time as I was finishing up my business, a guy patron barged in (side note: PLEASE ALWAYS KNOCK FIRST before entering restrooms bc common decency???) and actually saw me on the toilet. Not a very pleasant encounter. And then a third time, as I was about to wash my hands ANOTHER patron opened the door. Fix the locks, please, or you might get a lot of traumatized customers. Service can be kind if you're able to flag them down. Otherwise it's a pay and then sit down kind of place. Lots of seating and plentiful parking available. read more

Whoa, this is the type of coffee house that should be in downtown LA. I would have never expected to find such a cute shop in the middle of this industrial area in Walnut. Not only do they serve coffee and drinks here, but they also have food like sandwiches and baked goods. The place is really small, so it's hard to find seating sometimes. The servers will help you make arrangements if you're dining in. You order at the front, which is where they have an ipad and the menu with more items. They should update their wall menu to include everything they offer. I just look up Yelp reviews to see what to order while I wait in line. On one occasion, I couldn't believe I was being charged $75 for three people, and that's without tip! The food ended up being good, but makes me want to come less often. The lattes were really good. I recommend paying the additional dollar to add matcha. I love the matcha latte both ways - iced or hot. The hot drinks are served on a wooden plate thing with some tiny delicious pastries. They're totally IG worthy. Even the cold brew is good - and strong. I've had the mushroom benedict, and it's a generous portion for breakfast. The avocado toast could use some more salt. The smoked salmon toast was just too much...really rich. I think the roast beef toast is the best tasting food I've had here. This is a nice place to take your friends and chat over coffee. This may be one of the strangest places I've ever seen such a swanky coffee shop in- part industrial warehouse district, part lunch stop for the local workers- but the vibe inside is really something straight out of a Downtown LA evening coffee run in the city. The interior has a bit of flair that reminds me of a New York City cafe, with its wood-paneling, rich, dark tones, industrial lighting, fancy writing on all of their materials, and big city tunes that complete the overall ambiance. What makes it even more unique is the clear Taiwanese influence from all the workers that come dine here from the warehouses in the area. On my visit here, they were in the middle of construction, so they will be opening bigger doors to their loyal customers before 2019. The menu here isn't the biggest, but it has a little bit of typical coffee shop fare done right, from avocado and mushroom toasts, and Eggs Benedict with salmon or prosciutto. They also make some impressive dessert options like Matcha Tarts, French Toast, and even Blueberry Cheesecake. I tried their Eggs Benedict with prosciutto and their seasonal Crème Brûlée latte. The Eggs Benedict were delicious, but really hard to cut into due to that muffin/ biscuit bottom and I ended up making a mess of my food and my face. But the struggle was worth it. The latte was really delicious: Perfectly-balanced sweetness from that crust of toasted sugar on top of a smooth, frothy coffee concoction. If you're here during the Holidays and are not diabetic, give this one a try. The rest of their coffee menu is pretty simple: Lattes, cappuccinos, gibraltars, espresso, mochas, teas, cold brew, and Barista's Choice. Pick your delicious, high-quality poison. My one beef with this place is the prices. I'm always one for paying for the quality versus the quantity of your food, but for the two items I ordered, I paid almost $20, not including tip. Was it worth it? Maybe. But it would have to be more of a special occasion kind of thing as opposed to an everyday lunch run to feel like you're not spending more than you should. read more

How did I not know about this hidden gem?! I pass by this place all the time on the way to and from work. Plus, I grew up around the Walnut/City of Industry areas! I tried Aroma out for the first time this week because I was curious and was in need of a major coffee fix during my lunch break. I ordered their brown sugar cafe latte with whole milk and after trying it out, I wasn't disappointed. The inside of the cafe is so cute too! Also, Aroma does sell their own coffee grounds. It's a perfect place to catch up with friends over a simple meal or even for a first date. There's currently outdoor seating as well. Was in town and needed coffee and stopped by Aroma Craft. It's right next to Starbucks and across from a set of rail road tracks in the Walnut area. This place is fancy A.F. and has a slight steam punk look but it's located in an industrial park. Coffee was good, I ordered a salted caramel latte and forgot to switch the milk out for oat milk. I also ordered the French toast and even though it came in a box it looked and tasted perfect. I didn't add any syrup to it, just ate it plain with the slices of strawberry and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a great tasting breakfast snack to go. Although pictures aren't allowed due to keeping the privacy of the patrons and workers, I will admit that it is quite spacious and has a very quaint aesthetic to it. A lot of attention and detail is put in all their decorations down to the serving trays and door handles. Perfect place to sit back, chat, and take in the atmosphere. I'll be honest, we got the avocado toast and in my opinion, the serving is enough to feed two individuals. They use what seems to be a whole avocado, so they're not skimping out at all. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and perfect. All in all, the savoriness and crunch of the toast goes really well with the creaminess of the avocado, the eggs, and veggies. Here are some of the things I've liked: - cappuccino: they provide a lot of options on how you'd like it prepared. the coffee used is really high quality and I've never been disappointed - hojicha latte: this one is one of my favorite go to drinks (with almond milk) it caffeinated me just enough! - jasmine tea: I love the tea leaves, it's super fragrant and they steep it the right amount of time and flavor - the sea salt drink was a little too sweet for me, if I got it again, I would ask for a single espresso shot The food is amazing! First time coming here and I'm a fan! My friend and I came on a Sunday lunch time for some brunch food and there were a decent amount of seating available which is good. I saw on their Yelp lots of pictures of cute coffees, foods, and desserts. I opted for their Smoked Salmon Toast which I absolutely loved because I love smoked salmon and I love toast too and the smoked salmon was bedded on top of fresh greens which consists mostly of arugula which gives the whole dish a new freshness and simplicity. My friend ordered a Matcha Latte which didn't taste like a matcha latte. It was mostly just a regular latte with matcha powder on top to make it "look" like a matcha latte. In my experiences with Matcha Lattes, there normally shouldn't be any coffee in there so we were both genuinely confused on why there was coffee in there. I should have tried their desserts because it looked super good but I only was able to try their food. Definitely will want to try their creme brulee latte next time. Food is around $12 for the toast and worth every penny. Their interior design is super aesthetic as well as their food and drinks. You should definitely come here and try this place! read more

When I entered and saw the coffee beans roasting and items served on wooden boards, I knew I was going to like this place. There is a menu on the wall and also a more detailed menu viewable through the tablets. With various appealing caffeine options, I chose their most popular drink according to the nice barista. The Iced Sea Salt Caramel (4 stars) was a good caramel latte with the quality you expect from a third wave coffee shop rather than a big chain location. It had just right amount of sweetness. I loved the presentation as it was served with a jam filled tea cookie. I also tried the Blueberry Cheesecake (2 stars). Although it was light and airy, it was more like a bland and subtly sweetened mousse that needed the compote for any source of flavor. The other food items looked good, but I would just return for the coffee. With good service (4 stars), this place was full and perfect for a coffee lover. read more

Whenever my bf and I visit Walnut, we always stop by Aroma Craft Coffee for some breakfast. It's not everyday you find a hipster coffee shop in the middle of SGV with good coffee and food. Together, we ordered a flat white, barista's choice, and mushroom toast. Initially, I ordered a latte with no foam, but the barista didn't understand what I meant by that and questioned me. He explained that there will always be froth and micro-foam from steaming milk. I thought it was OK to request for no foam because of Starbucks. I didn't like how I was put on the spot and felt really stupid. The barista proceeded to tell the cashier to change my order to a flat white instead. Milk selection is limited with only whole milk and almond milk available. I was fine with whole milk but would definitely prefer 2%. Mushroom toast, on the other hand, was really delicious. Toast was nicely buttered with creamy scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms, fresh veggies, and some sauce drizzled on top of it. I was glad I shared the toast with my bf because it was a pretty big portion. Overall, pretty good experience as always. I guess I just need to brush up on my coffee knowledge to make sure I don't get semi-schooled by the barista next time. read more

They don't really have real meals per say but you can say it's a relatively good breakfast place with limited choices. they have toasts and benedicts you can choose from and the ingredients for the toasts/benedicts usually are the same with different proteins. The coffee was pretty good and that's what I came here for so kudos to that. I got the hot honey latte and I liked the like cracker that came with it because it goes well together.
