I ask for a churrasco and they brought me carne asada (not churrasco) the risotto that goes with piece of meat was no seasoned well. I asked for a sangria and it was super acidic. I ask the to switch for beer for me and my wife and they were hot. We order a chicharones de pescado for our kids and they brought the wrong portion. And lastly the waiter wasn't that friendly. BEST PERUVIAN FOOD EVER!!! And that's saying something since I'm Peruvian myself. I know this is a chain restaurant but if you come to eat at this location you truly don't even need to try the others. The customer service here is always 10/10. They greet you upon arrival, they are always attentive to their customers, and even open both doors for you and your guests as you all exit. It's like an exit for the royal family! Also they bring deserts that you may be interested in on sample trays so you can see what kind you would like before actually buying it. Now, I'm just spoiled and feel all deserts must be presented to me at any restaurant. Now onto the food. You know how words don't do justice? This is one of those times. I have had the jalea (fried seafood dish), the chaufa (fried rice), and the parihuela (seafood soup) and each and every single one of them have been a home. freaking. run! We have ordered the copa aromas, our favorite, several times but today's was not good. I ordered mixed seafood but they gave me 99% fish. Like their Inca roll, which was a sushi roll like no other.. Their inca roll had Avocado, cream cheese, shrimp tempura, all wrapped in smoked salmon while drizzled with two housemade sauces. One based on crema de rocoto and another called their acevichada. This maki will literally melt in your mouth. Aromas del Peru has been on the radar for such a long time, put with so many choices between all the new Peruvian restaurants we had passed this one up many times, and what a big mistake it has been. I noticed restaurant had recently been redecorates and according to "Santi" (GM that came to our table to make sure all is good) remodeling is work in progress. Place looked clean, service was awesome (wish I could remember her name) and food selection and variety was very good. Worse service ever from the male waiter with glasses. Does not listen to anything. I received the wrong food with the wrong meat temperature. I let the waiter know and he replied that is how the food is and walked away. It wasn't how the food was. He didn't want to admit he was wrong and I noticed he was making several mistakes with other customers. He was wrong and completely rude. I asked him to give us two separate checks from very beginning. At the end he gave us one big check. When I asked him if he could split it like I originally asked him and he rolled his eyes. 3.5 but I'll round up- mainly because I really like Peruvian food. Peruvians know how to do food right. Whether it is fish (raw or cooked) or meat, they usually do it right. Oh and they use a lot of potatoes...I like potatoes. The place isn't huge, but there was seating on a weekend afternoon for a quick lunch. Place is super clean - we were seated by the kitchen where the servers come out with the food. However this didn't mean the server would be on top of things - he took forever to even come over and offer us water, then left and took even longer to return to take our order. We were hungry. We stayed. Of course through out the meal I had an empty glass the entire time....a bit frustrating to get his attention when he is no where to be found. So, the food: We started with tuna causa. It was great, some of the best we have had. Not too full of cream like other places - which I usually like - but, it was a little drier and for some reason that really made the flavors come alive more. The ceviche was alright. They have those huge corn kernels that I love. Could of used a little more sweet potato on the side, that would of been good. Lomo saltado - I usually get this everywhere I go and this one was at about average compared to other places. They fries were crispy on the top and the bottom was completely soggy. I love that about this dish - how it has a good mix of crispy/soggy. Most places just have no sauce, or too much sauce. The meat was ok, but a little salty - and being a big fan of salt, that says a lot. Overall the service sucked, but the food is solid. Maybe we didn't enjoy it as much as we should have because we always had to keep a look out for the waiter, in hopes he would pass by. I have been coming to this location for ten years and it never ever disappoints!!! Let me give some background information first, this is the original location of the moderately priced Peruvian restaurants chain located around Miami. Ask locals and Peruvian Americans where to go for top rated Peruvian food and this place is always one of the top choices. We have not been for a while and decided to have dinner on Sunday night, and were seated right away. We decided to order four different plates to share, which were the Chupe of shrimp, fish ceviche, Conchitas a la Parmesana, and a special avocado stuffed with shrimps au gratin. The first dish to be brought is one of my all time favorite is the conchitas a la parmesana which are fresh scallops left in their shells and done au gratin with butter and Parmesan cheese. Its an amazing start to any meal, and you need to use the slices of green lemons which give it an extra kick of taste. The stuffed avocado was also very good which used the same au gratin style as the scallops but with large shrimps and fried crisp plantains on the side. For the main entree my wife had the chupe of shrimp which is the Peruvian version of a shrimp bisque soup which has slices of white cheese, rice, potato, vegetables, and large pieces of shrimp. I loved this soup because it is very hearty and you leave the restaurant full. I had a regular fish ceviche, which was excellent with a good portion of sliced fresh fish, and I requested to make my not spicy. For dessert we were recommended a mousse made from condensed milk and dulce de leche on top, diabetic nightmare, but worth it. The exterior of the restaurant is average sized, but the staff are very friendly and they love to recommend dishes. Highly recommend for people who are interested in the Peruvian food scene. read more

We came to the kendall location and the service was amazing! The hostess opened the door for us and already had the menus ready for us. We were sat immediately and were informed of the specials. We got the passion fruit sangria (delicious) and the cholo power ceviche (even more delicious). I loved that our waiter asked what kind of spice level we wanted for our ceviche. The lomo saltado is insaneeee! So so sooo good! My hubby had the churasco and he said it was incredible. The cut of meat ate a little tough but it was delicious nonetheless. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was kind. We did take out and our food was ready so fast. A bit expensive but this is one place that is offering genuine quality with great flavor and awesome portion size. I ordered take-out from yelp. My order was placed and I arrived when notified that it was ready, then the two girls looked clueless when I asked for my order. Turns out they forgot to check their "grub hub" (or was it door dash) tablet for orders that came in through there. So I had to wait 10 more minutes for my food to be ready. When I went back in I didn't receive any apologies whatsoever. I didn't expect a handout or discount, but some decent customer service would've been nice.
