Looking for upscale service but at...like...prices a middle class teacher can afford. Oysters and champagne with a juicy steak were my go to this visit. Ok...ok...this is my first visit but I plan to come back! I raised a silent toast to my server, who never let my water or champs flute become empty. The ambiance was perfectly fine for a party of one or a romantic table for two. Jeans and a nice top or your sequined jumpsuit are perfect. Guess which I wore? read more

The location is accessible with self parking. The building is not super big but enough space inside and outside tables. Customer service from our server was great the guy was quiet by professional. The food was excellent and the wine delicious. read more

We are special occasion regulars here! This is our favorite steakhouse and after trying others around the valley, this still remains our favorite! The french onion soup, filets, and creme brûlée are what our usual order consists of and nothing comes close to AG's. Every server we've had has been fantastic, but after being served by Ronnie a couple times now, she goes above and beyond! Give this place a try if you haven't already! read more

The wife and I went to Arrowhead Grill last night to celebrate her birthday for the first time since recently moving to the area. The service was fabulous, dinks never ran low, manager stopped by to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was great, I enjoyed the Tuscon steak which was cooked perfectly and had great flavor with the seasoning combination and chimichurri sauce. My wife had the delmonico which is prepared in the traditional way as done in New York. She was pleased with the flavor and tenderness as well. Had the Au Gratin potatoes and the brussel sprouts as sides, they were good as well. Our waiter delivered a complimentary butter cake to us to celebrate her birthday. Pro Tip: Wednesday is half off all wines with a price of $106 or less. Enjoyed a nice bottle of Malbec for $43 with the discount. Will definitely return. read more

My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday, and we had the most amazing experience! Veda was our server and she was amazing! She was kind personable and took her time when she was serving us. My wife and I have gone here every birthday and anniversary for the past 15 years. We've never had an experience that was less than great. This was one of the worst meals and experiences of my life. I will never go back there again. The waiter (Ronnie) was unable to read the table and kept pushing for purchasing bottles of wine, the food was over seasoned and way overpriced. A wedge of iceberg lettuce salad was $17.00!!! None of the side dishes were made in the kitchen and for the price of the steaks, I expect some level of culinary expertise. This intimate, upscale grill has been a favorite with locals for years in the northwest Valley, including my wife and me. My wife is an executive chef, working both instate and nationally, so we often eat in upscale restaurants all over the country. We have found the food and the service at Arrowhead Grill to be consistently good. Amazing! Came by on a Thursday on a RSVP and right when you walk in was a nice vibe to the restaurant dim lights, perfect for a date night. From the beginning of the end the staff and server took care of us making sure we had water and everything else. Food wise, the lamb was 100% a must that's all I will say on that and so far this is the best place I had steak at. I ordered a 22oz rib eye cooked MR and it was spot on with the taste and sear on it. The sides were ordered were the Mac and cheese and mash potatoes and they were also a 10! A lovely impromptu evening with my hubby! The night before Turkey Day and it's time to feast! We were day drinking across the street and found a reservation so we ambled over and had a great meal! I ordered blackened swordfish which was very good. Hubby ordered his go-to Prime Rib which is sooo tender! He got the 10 oz. but looked ginormous. This place is nothing short of amazing. The best service we have ever had, comparable to a cruise we took this year. Fine dining as expected but you can wear causal clothes. This place wasn't too loud or too quiet. The temperature was just right inside and our server Clarence made our first experience here outstanding. Just attentive enough, anticipating our every need and not over bearing, just how we like our service. We would have probably never tried a place like this out of random, if it weren't for a gift card we were given for a birthday. Now that we have tried it we will be back for every birthday and our anniversary! The food was incomparable. We had the ribeye since we like more flavorful robust steaks and it did not disappoint. The best steak either of us have ever had hands down. Perfect crust and crisp as well as temperature it was cooked at. Truly impressed. We had the calamari with the sauce on the side which was very delicious. We tried the creamy au gratin potatoes which is a must! We also had the asparagus which was delicious. There appears to be no official representative of this business on Yelp, so I'm a little surprised. Food: I had never there before, but the meal and service were excellent. In addition to my friend's moongirl martini, which was well balanced and not overly sweet with delightful tart raspberry taste, we shared a seasonal side dish of artichokes, which came with drawn butter and a delicious remoulade. A variety of breads and salads were served for supper as well. All of it was scrumptious. Exactly what I requested, the steak was grilled to a perfect medium-rare. Price: Menu items are costly, but all are worth the money. Compared to how much they are priced, it's way better. Service: I'm sure I'll be returning. All of the food we ate was excellent. From start to finish, the waitress was quite helpful. She was incredibly attentive and extremely knowledgeable, and very nice. What I didn't like: One minor issue is that the noise level is much higher than you'd expect from a nice dining establishment, especially around supper. It was the lobster seafood boil for two couples, and I bought two sets for four couples. Just beware that if they're in a hurry, try not to be in a hurry to eat here. You probably get a better experience than what my family did. I've been to crab shacks before that has seafood boil and they were way better and not so stingy for the price they charge you. when I was there, there was only one family sitting at a table. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. Recently relocated to Sun City. Learned about this restaurant from a neighbor. My daughter visited me today so we decided to go out to dinner as I wanted to try this new (to me) restaurant. I'm a level 2 Sommelier, and studied at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Our Server was Kasey/Casey/KC? Very tall (6'6"), professional, friendly, young man. He gets 5 Stars from me for his phenomenal service. I ordered the Amarone, only to be disappointed as he returned empty handed and I KNEW they did not have it. (If a wine/food is not available, the waitstaff should be informed at the pre-shift meeting and it should be 86'd on the computer.) I ordered the Antinori Chianti Reserva, then changed my mind and went for the Barolo - even though I knew this was a light weight wine compared to the Chianti. Should have stuck to the Antinori Chianti. lol. Ordered the cheese platter - very nice. Server suggested the Delmonico, and I mentioned I hadn't even heard of Delmonico in 40 years. He mentioned Hotel Delmonico and I told him it is located in NYC. He seemed surprised I knew that lol. He and I discussed cuts of beef longer than he probably had time to do so. He was so very accommodating. This Kasey is a superb server. He knew, instinctively, by the wine I ordered, I wanted to 'dine', not be rushed from the first course to the next. Anyway, I ended up ordering the bone-in Strip and I have to say I was disappointed. Steak was cooked to order, but something was off, on my palate, with the seasoning. Please note, this is personal preference, and not meant in any way to dissuade others from choosing this dish. These are Prime steaks and I, personally, prefer my steaks cooked sans seasoning and, after the grilling process, to then add the sea salt and fresh ground pepper. I will state this preference on my next visit. The sautéed green beans and au gratin potatoes were absolutely killer! My daughter's artisan mac & cheese was amazingly flavorful. My son will be home in a few weeks after completing boot camp training in San Diego with the USMarines. I absolutely plan to return to Arrowhead Grill, with him in tow, and just can't wait to watch him devour a much needed, perfectly grilled, Prime steak! I will definitely ask for Kasey/Casey/KC lol. Arrow Head Grill, My wife and I have been loyal patrons of Arrowhead Grill and Capital Grill for years and have consistently experienced outstanding professionalism and courtesy from the entire staff, including reservations, hostesses, waitstaff, and bartenders. The quality of the chef's menu, food, and cocktails has always been exceptional, earning a solid 5-star rating from us. However, our recent visit to Arrowhead Grill in Glendale yesterday Friday, May 17th, left much to be desired in terms of customer service. Despite the restaurant being about 75% full on a Friday night, we encountered significant delays and lapses in service from our server. We found ourselves waiting longer than usual for simple requests such as complimentary bread and additional rounds of drinks, despite there being available tables. Furthermore, when we ordered a specific Old-fashioned, the server hastily brought it to our table, informing us that the bartender had run out of the large cubed ice we had requested. Disappointed with the deviation from our order, we politely declined the drinks, only to be met with attitude from the server, who swiftly took them away and left in a hurry as if he was extremy bothered and pretty much ghosted for the night. This incident significantly dampened our overall dining experience, despite the consistently outstanding quality of the food. While we commend the kitchen staff for their continued excellence, we urge management to address any inconsistencies in service among their staff. When dining out, especially for a special occasion like a date night, we expect service to match the high standards we've come to associate with the establishment. read more

If seven stars were possible, Arrowhead Grill in Glendale would deserve every one of them. My husband Ted and I used to go to their sister restaurant, Preston's in Scottsdale, all the time, and we are still so sad it closed. Preston's held so many wonderful memories for us, so walking into Arrowhead Grill felt like coming home again. From the moment we arrived, the evening became something very special. We were greeted with hugs from Jose, who always took such wonderful care of us at Preston's. Seeing him again was like old home week and immediately made us feel welcomed, remembered, and appreciated. Then we had the absolute pleasure of being greeted and cared for by Mark, Sara, and Josh, who made the entire evening feel like a true reunion dinner. Their kindness, warmth, professionalism, and friendly smiles brought back so many happy memories from our many wonderful times at Preston's. The food at Arrowhead Grill is fantastic -- beautifully prepared, delicious, and exactly what you hope for from a great steakhouse. But for us, the most meaningful part of the evening was seeing those familiar faces and feeling that same special hospitality we loved so much at Preston's. Great restaurants serve excellent food. The evening was made even more special as we celebrated 3 birthdays and a retirement, which the restaurant graciously recognized with a complimentary dessert. We all opted for the Delmonico steak, which the restaurant is renowned for, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich and savory, but I would recommend asking for a slightly higher cooking preference, as half of our group found their meat undercooked. Any concerns were handled by the staff. The true standout of the evening was the exceptional service. Our servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. But what truly blew my mind was the prompt response to a dropped fork on the carpeted floor. Before I could even react, an employee appeared out of nowhere to pick it up and replace it with a new one. It was as if they had a "fork patrol" in place! My husband,mama, grandma, and my boys all went to ArrowGrill for my sons B-day. We were seated promptly and they gave the kidlets Ipads to play on to keep them occupied while we ordered. The host was so attentive and she was great with the kidlets. The whole experience was worth the bill, you arent paying for the Sizzler experience. We all got steaks, Grandma has a hard time with her dentures and the host ground up the steak into a puree texture so she could enjoy. They gave us the best time and I will be back again. All of the Yelpers that complain about the high price should go to Old Country Buffet and get their cheap steaks. I like nothing but the best and ArrowGrill has the best...period the end. This place was fantastic! We made reservations about 2 hours before arriving. Easy process. We checked in a few minutes late and they sat us right away. (It was so nice being somewhere that felt normal.) Great service with a knowledgeable server who was very patient with us since this was our first visit. The food portions are huge! The sides are family style so they are great for sharing. The food was amazing! Whatever you do, don't leave without trying the Butter Cake!! Best. Cake. Ever. It was my birthday so they comped our cake and decorated it and added a candle. They gave me a card with a $10 gc to be used in the next month and the recipe for the butter cake, I had asked for. The prices are higher but this is an upscale place so that is to be expected and the food was worth it. We will definitely be back!! read more

Had a wonderful time tonight at dinner. Our server Jessie was amazing! I came in to celebrate my birthday and she made sure I felt special from the moment I sat down. Exceptional service and the food was on point like usual. Our Delmonico steaks were cooked perfectly and Jessie made sure to bring out a petite butter cake for my birthday. Audrey, the Manager on duty, was fantastic, as well. We had questions about their E-Club as my mom wasn't getting emails anymore and she took the time to double check her status and make sure her email address was linked. I have typically loved eating here and always had a great experience when dining in. We decided to order out and it was quite disappointing. We ordered two prime rib dinners and a chicken dinner. The salads that came with the dinner were a small pinch of lettuce, if we had combined all 3 we would have had 1 salad. The chicken was dry and very small, we would have been better going to Frys or Costco and getting a rotisserie chicken. The prime rib was decent but bellow standard. I am not sure what happened here but the experience was not good. We have been going here for years and always been a great experience. There is not a finer restaurant for steaks anywhere West of Central Ave., I'll tell you that! I've been here many, many times and have never once been anything but over-the-top elated with every bit of food, all the service, the bar, it's just one well put together menu and restaurant. The places this owner/chef has been in charge of is quite the impressive resume. The Delmonico Steak is so tasty and tender. Imagine a steak with the flavor of a serloin and the tenderness of a filet. For your sides there are plenty to chose from and they are all good but don't pass up the fresh green beans. Wow! I totally disagree with the negative review. I was, and still am, a big fan of Firebirds - but the food does not even compare to the steaks and seafood at AG. There's no way you're getting bone-in filet or Chilean seabass at Firebirds. But Firebirds is great for dinner with my young kids. And, IT'S NOT SCOTTSDALE, so if you want Mastro's or Ocean Club, go there and pay 75% more. Or take a night out and compare it to Flemings on Northern and 101. People have to remember that they are catering to upper-end Arrowhead area, as well as the Sun City group. My wife and I continue to go there every few weeks for dinner. Our entrees, including sea bass, halibut, lobster tail, and the AG steak, were prepared to perfection, each dish bursting with flavor. I celebrated my birthday at Arrowhead Grill yesterday, and it was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the Delmonico steak with hatch green chile mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, and a wedge salad -- every single dish was divine. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, the sides were rich and flavorful, and the entire meal felt like a true treat. Do not forget the butter cake, they are known for it! The service from Angela and your staff was impeccable from start to finish -- warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. I am disappointed, Arrowhead Grill used to be a go to for date night or bring family visiting from out of town. Very glad it was just my wife and I last night because it was disappointing. My wife and I shared the Porter House (pretty sure 44oz), the strip portion was very sinuous where I was unable to chew through a good portion of it. They also decided not to pack up our remaining side dish (over half was left). I don't understand how you can charge $300 for a dinner of two and have these issues. Will not be back very disappointed to lose what used to be a great dining location. read more

We were there for the soft opening. Food very good, service people learning. We have gone back twice since the soft opening. Greatly improved service and food still great. I am a steak kind of guy and have had possibly the best steak even here. Our son went with us. The food here is very good. It is a little on the pricey side, but you do get what you pay for. They usually have some good specials if you sign up to their newsletter. I got the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and when it came out, the shrimp was way over-cooked... I had to have it sent back. The second batch they brought out was perfect and very tasty. Had a great dinner at this steakhouse. The Delmonico cut was cooked just right--tender, flavorful, and nicely seared. Definitely a quality piece of meat and worth the price. Our server was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. The drink I ordered was well-made and complemented the steak perfectly. Only reason it's not a full 5 stars is that nothing really stood out as exceptional beyond the basics but everything was done right. Would absolutely come back read more

Now, here's why it's a 4 instead of a 5--for dessert, I was so looking forward to their Bananas Foster (it's my favorite), but they no longer have it! NOOOOO!! I was obviously disappointed, but chose to have their Chocolate Cake. The cake was way too dense, but the ganache was decadent and so good. I ended up just scraping the ganache off...hey, it was my birthday!!!!! We'll still come back, the service is always nice and their steaks are delicious!!
