I came into Arrows based of the good reviews and because it's close to where I live. I needed my headlights bulbs changed because one was out. I didn't have an appointment, I just walked in. The woman at the front desk was super kind and accommodating. The tech took a look at my car pretty much immediately and changed both lights for me. I didn't even know my break light was out until the tech let me know, and he changed that too. I'm thankful he checked so I didn't get pulled over. While I waited for my car, I got to hear their interactions with other customers, and they treated everyone so well it was honestly refreshing to see. The many good reviews of this place are NOT a fluke. I can attest to that! I'm pretty stoked that I found my new repair shop to bring my car to, because finding a group you trust can be difficult. This is by far the best auto repair shop I've been to. Since I got my car a few years ago, it's been Sears, Midas, Island Fender, and various other smaller shops for my oil changes and maintenance checks. Arrows has been the most affordable and not to mention the friendliest place yet. I came here when my headlight blew out and i was a bit overdue for an oil change. the staff was very polite and fixed my headlight in just a matter of minutes- total cost: $8 (and i didn't even get charged for labor). i came back a few days later for the oil change. i got my car back the same day despite the large work load that they were experiencing- total cost: $40 (that's tax and labor included). you just can't beat the price here. it also helps that this place is conveniently located a few minutes from my work. definitely coming back! These guys are awesome! I have a BMW X1 and about 6months ago, I had to deal with BMW Seattle's service advisor who broke one thing while fixing something else. I had to take my car back in 3 times in 2 months - so annoying. Then not only that, they kept trying to charge for diagnosing the problem as well as to fix while the problem was obvious. Ugh it was such an o'deal I never want to go through again! I read this 5 star review of Arrows Auto repair and decided to give them a try. They were very transparent, fast, great at communicating, and sent Lyft orders for me after dropping the car off. The price was probably 2/3 or even less than what BMW Seattle would have charged. read more

Purchased a vehicle from a local dealership and made the transaction contingent upon a few minor fixes. The dealership takes all of their vehicles to Arrows Automotive, and now I can see why. These guys are fantastic...truly what every other review states - fair, honest and reliable...all while having superbly competitive pricing. This is the second shop I have taken my Range Rover Sport to, and probably the last. There's just something about having that personal connection and relationship with the individual working on the one thing you rely on every day. Can't say enough nice things about Paul and Travis (and Bonnie). Looking forward to bringing it in for my future servicing needs. One of the mechanics had a few drops of oil fall onto the garage floor and within minutes he was spraying the spots and wiping them up - voila, no more oil. Last week I brought in my car for intermittent starting issues and a possible alignment. Before handing my keys over, Shaun gave me possible reasons as to why my car may be having these issues and that just shows that they know what they are talking about. I received text message updates regarding my car and they even asked me for permission (prices included!) before performing a task that was unrelated to my inquiry, but they noticed upon inspection of my vehicle. I really appreciated the level of communication they provided. They went as far as letting me know that I should take my car to the dealership since the repair would be covered under warranty! They easily could have taken advantage of the situation and charged me for work that would have been zero cost to me at the dealership, but they didn't. As much as I do not want to pull the "I'm a female" card, I have had experiences with other shops price gauging me or insisting work I needed done, that I simply did not need done! Where oh where do I start . Was having more than a few issues with the Land Rover LR3. I showed up on a Friday before arrows opened. There was ken one of Arrows mechanics inside working. It was real early around 550 am. I explained what was wrong. He tried to help me out but there was way , way to much to sort out. Once Bonnie arrived she was quick to set me up with a rental car. This was before Arrows was even open. After they did there digging and research they found the problems. Let's just say Water and electrical they don't mix. Long story the windshield cowling was leaking. They replaced the parts and cowling. All is good now. Thank you Bonnie , Paul and all your mechanics. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. We really couldn't have afforded to take it anywhere else. Even if it was cheaper elsewhere ( which I doubt ) we still would have chosen Arrows ! Thank you again. We have been taking our vehicles to Aarows for several years now for both maintenance and minor repairs. Though they can be busy they are great about getting you in, even unexpectedly. And they now provide updates and other communication via text, which makes approving work and more very easy. Recently, Shawn went above & beyond when I was being very picky about brake noise and worked his magic with the supplier to get a warranty replacement for the brakes, even though they were well into their life. We love our old cars, and are happy to have a great place to keep them running like new! read more

Revising this review as I've obtained a better understanding of the issues and the recommendations made by Arrows (still only giving them one star). Had it looked at by Arrows for an engine ticking sound. Took several days for them to diagnose it, which it sounds like they were pretty thorough about it (I'll give them that, but three days just to look at it- really??). Said I had sludge buildup and some wear on the lower part of the engine. Recommended an entirely new engine (I have a Toyota Tacoma with 136K miles on it) for $4500; also recommended some other work with the brakes and smaller issues for about $1000 or so. Labor alone was quoted at $5500, which is outrageous. When I took it to the dealership, they said it was the lifter pucks making the noise, which could be from wear and/or from sludge buildup (Arrows never actually diagnosed the noise itself). The dealership did NOT recommend I have the entire engine replaced. Even if there is sludge buildup, why would a shop recommend replacing the ENTIRE engine?!? There are things that can be done to treat sludge buildup. I still feel taken advantage of by this shop, as I felt that they were making unnecessary recommendations regarding my vehicle. read more

I was contacted by the owner due to my previous review and he sincerely apologized for the issues that happened. Which I understand mistakes happen, he also stated that had they gone to do the clutch job and that was not the issue then they would have stopped and not charged for that service. Which I can believe since the very first time I took my car to this shop and they did not try to charge me for something I did not need, they actually did not charge me at all for figuring out what was causing a noise when I was driving. In the end I am a satisfied customer as he did make things right with me as best as he could and I feel that it was just a couple of honest mistakes made which yes could have been pricey but at the same time would have been resolved by the shop based on his word. I think Arrows overall is a great shop and they do care about their customers and will be willing to correct anything that was not done correctly. Which is not always the case with the larger shops, I will continue to prefer local businesses especially when they hold themselves accountable and will admit when they mess up. read more

My sons car was caught in the recent Xmas storm that hit Seattle and he ended up sideways on a side street on Capital Hill. Not just stuck but the car totally died for some unknown reason. The towing was a separate story but once we got the car to Arrows they immediately addressed the issue an solved it on one day, allowing my son to safely return home. I recently went to Arrows for a transmission service on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, my first time using their services. The facilities are very clean and the waiting area well appointed with beverages and comfortable seating as well as a small charging station for devices. When I was charged significantly more than quoted for the service, their team reviewed the situation and refunded me the overpayment amount within 24 hours. They were apologetic and communicative in an effort to regain customer trust. Ultimately, I found them fair and friendly. The work performed seems to have been of solid quality, though it's only been a couple of days. Took my car to Arrows for some service work. They finished my 60K service that another shop didn't have the technical competency to complete. Brought my other car in for new tires and an oil change. They found out that my front brakes needed to be replaced and were at 0%! I didn't hear anything! They showed me pictures of the wear, which surprised me since I've never had any shop email me pics of what they are recommending. I trust Arrows after these experiences. If you have an old car that you still want to keep running, don't take it here. I was charged for labor even when they couldn't find the part needed. If I am to be honest, that line of logic is daft. Please, make sure you can repair the component for a reasonable price before you attempt a repair. TLDR: Charging customers for costs and labor when a part could not be found for a reasonable price is not cool. Also, I found the part for over $300 less than quoted here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dorman-Door-Lock-Actuator-New-Ford-Focus-2000-2004-6S4Z5443150E-937-662/371602250276). A terrific place to take your car for repair. I brought my 2015 Lexus RX 350in for an oil change and fluid check, tire check and rotation, wiper blade inspection, cabin air filter replacement, etc. Andy the individual who helped me out was delightful. Really great guy, very kind and the turnaround for the work was quick. I would note, for those of you on the cheap cheap side, this isn't necessarily the best place for repairs/oil changes. But hear me out: If you value your car and want to take good care of it, come here. If you want your car to become a endless money pit as Scotty Kilmer would say, you can take it to a Jiffy Lube/Valvoline and get cheap costs, but guess what: the oil is cheap crap, the customer service is crap, and they don't pay their workers well. You get what you pay for here. Labor is expensive, but these mechanics know what they are doing. Arrows takes care of their customers and their mechanics are smart, caring, and it's still cheaper than taking to the dealership, which is a scam! Lexus of Bellevue is a joke. read more

Sadly my last several experiences have all been the same, I arrive on time for a morning appointment and then have to call late in the day for an update. Each time I've been told that they haven't started looking at my car. Their work continues to be high quality but scheduling is a real issue. WARNING!!! Refuses to work on "older" cars.... I just reached out to this shop due to hearing pretty good things about them, and explained that I needed a tune up as well as a diagnosis for a check engine and abs light for my '95 van....only to find out they wouldn't even take a look at it due to the age of the vehicle. I have NEVER heard of a shop refusing to help out for this reason, I could understand if you're a specialty shop that only works on certain vehicles...but to call your self a full service mechanic and turn down a customer in need for that reason seems a little unreasonable to me. Hopefully the owner doesn't need help from a doctor one day, only to be denied because of their age. He did wish me luck in finding a shop that would help, gee thanks...your warm wishes should keep my vehicle on the road! read more

My dad was passing through Seattle when his van started acting up. I called through several auto service spots looking for someone to do a check to determine if he was safe to get home (another 60 miles on the road). Arrows was clearly busy - they told me they would not be able to do any work on his car for several days- but offered to look at it right away. When my dad arrived, his experience with them was fantastic, which was such a relief during a stressful experience. They checked the van right away, determined the problem, told him how to troubleshoot if it got worse on his drive home and sent him on his way- without asking for a cent. Update- 12/12/16 I just took a 2012 Passat in to Arrows to have Paul look it over for me as a buyers check. Money well spent!! Each item he mentioned on the car was then fixed by the dealership. Here's my story it's a bit long but I really want people to know that good mechanics are out there and that they work at Arrows!! About a month ago I had my 2000 Jetta taken into to a different shop that told me I needed my thermostat housing replaced due to the coolant leak I had. I had the work done there and then only 3 weeks later I came out to my car to find another coolant leak. I took it back to the shop who then told me I had another issue a coolant tube bursted. They said it was at no fault of their own. They told me the cost would be almost $500. Luckily my Lyft driver that morning had recommended Arrows so I gave them a call and spoke with Paul the owner. I asked him if he thought that it would be at any fault of the previous mechanic and he said he wasn't sure but to bring my car to him. He said to replace the coolant tube he would only charge me $250 and also told me that if this situation happened with him he wouldn't even charge me whether or not it was their fault or not. The following day Paul called me with some bad news that my car needed a lot of work. He wanted me to come down to his shop so he could show me the multiple coolant leaks and oil leaks that I had. Which aside from the newest leak I had no idea of nor was ever told about from the previous mechanic. Travis the mechanic at Arrows and Paul both took time out of their day to show me where my car had leaks. Even though Paul was hesitant to even fix my leaks because of the condition of my car he agreed to do so. The next day I got a call from Travis who explained to me now that he had taken apart my car that the previous mechanic had never replaced my thermostat housing but had put silicone all over it! I asked him if he wouldn't mind calling the other auto shop to explain what happened. With Paul's help he called the owner at the other shop and explained to him what they found. Paul encouraged them to take my car back and do the work. Paul even followed up with me to make sure that everything was okay and that my car was getting fixed. I am just extremely blown away by the service I have received from Paul and Travis. Thank you so much for all your honesty and you definitely have a future customer.
