We have ordered take out from Arroy Thai twice during the pandemic. It was early on when things first reopened and it felt very safe. They send a text to let you know when you're food is ready and have you wait in your car until that happens. Once inside, there's a table set up with your food packaged up ready to go. I already paid online when ordering so the whole thing was contactless. The pad thai and fried rice we ordered was amazing!!! The best I've had so far in the WC area! Crab rangoon and egg rolls were also done perfectly! This is definitely our new go to for Thai food! I look forward to trying different things on the menu this year! The spring rolls were ok I've definitely had better, the dumplings were surprisingly good and the fried rice was terrible from the appearance to the taste. Their food is great, but twice now I've placed an online order and asked for no spice to my curry. None. The first time I received the order the curry was very spicy. So, the second time I made an extra note in the comments to please make sure it was not spicy, yet again it was spicy. I eat enough Thai from other places, I know what no spicy is supposed to be. I just feel a little frustrated because their food is really good and I would enjoy it, but I spent this money to get this curry that is too spicy for me to eat. Amazing flavors. I always get the pad Thai because I'm a sucker for it but go back-and-forth between the Currys. Tonight I wanted the red curry because the description included pineapple amongst other great vegetables. It seems no matter what flavor of curry... I receive the vegetable that is on hand. Don't get me wrong it's usually very good zucchini, carrots, onion, but I'll pick my Curry flavor based on the vegetable or fruit I am into that night. For example never do the massaman because I don't enjoy the potatoes. If you're just going to give us whatever you have on hand just tell us pick a curry flavor and we will give garden fresh vegetables of YOUR choice. The dinning room is very small with a few tables and customers go through that small space to pick up food. Definitely would not dine-in there. It's a to-go place. A few years back when we first picked up food here, we thought it was decent Thai food for a suburban Thai restaurant. We ordered online and picked up food recently. When I arrived the owner complained about online ordering service charging him a large fee and I should call the restaurant to order in the future. I thought it was an ok request from a small business owner and took a mental note to do so next time. When I got home we realized all our food portions were significantly smaller and the penang curry flavor was off. The roast duck was really small with only a few pieces of duck. I felt like they significantly cut down portion sizes just because I ordered it online, so they can make up for the grubhub fee. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. I've been here and few times and seem to have the same thought each time: "It's nice, but could be a bit better..." The food is good, for sure! It's quite authentic compared to many other Thai places I've been. The service is kind of slow and they seem to be a bit short staffed (in terms of servers, specifically). This restaurant feels more like a "pick-up-your-food-and-go" than a sit-down place. Not much room for tables or bigger than 3 people parties. The atmosphere seems slightly unorganized but my order is always correct and the staff is accommodating. All that said, I will go back because the food is great and the young girl who serves us is a hard worker! However, I might consider getting my food to go in the future. A couple of business meetings took me up to Wesley Chapel during the mid-week, and I was looking for something other than the usual chain restaurants found at the mall for lunch. My associate suggested that we try Arroy Thai, and so that's where we ate. Arroy (meaning 'delicious' in the Thai language) was a great little spot, located just west of I-75, and to the north of Wesley Chapel Boulevard. The restaurant is tucked into a small shopping area known as Pinewood Plaza at Grove. Thank goodness for Google maps or we would have gone sailing right by. There's a Roadhouse Grill nearby, as well as a Chuck E. Cheese, so if you can't find the place you've at least got some other options. The restaurant is small with maybe ten tables inside. A lot of people were stopping in to pick up their carryout orders on the day that we were there. Your Yelp check-in will net you a glass of sweet Thai iced tea. There were a couple of appetizer specials as well as about a dozen different entrée choices on the luncheon menu. The food is all prepared mild, unless you ask them to punch up the heat to a higher level. We started with a plate of crunchy Thai Spring rolls which were wrapped with rice paper, and stuffed with cabbage, celery, mushrooms, carrots, onions, and sweet corn, and then deep fried. They came to the table still steaming, and served with the traditional sweet dipping sauce. For my lunch entrée I skipped over my usual Pad Se-Ew and Garlic & Black Pepper options, and ordered their Spicy Basil Sauce with chicken. This dish had sautéed chicken breast strips with bell pepper, onions, carrot and basil with chili sauce. I ordered this as "Medium" but could have easily jacked up the heat a bit more without breaking out into a full sweat. Perched atop my entrée was a crispy crab Rangoon, and that came with a small salad and some steamed Jasmine rice. The food was excellent, and their prices were certainly reasonable. Unfortunately this is quite a ways north from my normal neighborhood restaurants, so I doubt that I'll be eating there very often. Besides, I have a lot of very excellent Thai restaurants in Tampa, so there's no need to roll down the windows and moo at the cows as you're trying to find this place. If, however, you happen to live in WC, then I recommend that you check out Arroy Thai. read more

When it came to the table with no shrimp, I was told it was one or the other (shrimp or tofu). It didn't say that nor was I asked which one I would like. New Ownership, new life. I finally got to check it out with the new owners. SO glad I did! Very good. The quality of the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Easily 2 meals out of the quantity given. I tried the Pad Woonsen and the fresh rolls. My only complaint is I wish they were pork and shrimp, but they were still DELISH. Super nice manager and my carry out was fast. Went for lunch today! Place was small. It was probably designed for takeout but now has a half dozen tables for eat in. The tables were mostly full and I expect as they continue to serve great food and get great reviews it will be harder to get a spot. Food was delivered to the table very quickly. Salad with peanut dressing. It was followed by Chicken Panang Curry. Chicken and veggies were perfectly cooked. The spice level was just right for what I ordered, medium spicy. Only complaint, and it's minor, is that the server could have stopped by to ask how to food was., And to refill my tea but was so busy he simply didn't have time. I picked up pad ba mee with tofu and medium spice on 3/16. I got home and put it in the fridge to eat later. When I heated it up, I noticed how dry the noodles looked. When I took my first bite, there was no flavor at all, let alone spice. The noodles were so dry they were a little crunchy. I've had this dish at this restaurant several times prior and it was always good. I ate about two bites of it and put it away. I called the restaurant the next day to ask if I could come by and get a replacement, explaining what happened - and even offered to bring the dish with me so they could see for themselves. They asked me "Why did you wait a day? Why didn't you come back yesterday?" Really? No "I'm sorry that happened". They then began to explain to me that pad ba mee is not "wet" as if I didn't know what the dish was. I explained again I had it several times before and this time it was not good and had no sauce or taste at all. They refused to make another one for me; they said I could pick up another one right away for 50% off. Really? I have never complained or had any issues with their food, and they felt it was ok to question me for not coming back to the store immediately after I got home and tasted the dish. We order Drunken Noodles and Beef Basil, when we arrive home they forgot to send us the rice for the Beef basil and the drunken noodles were completely dry, called them to complain told us to go back they will replace the drunken noodles with the Pad Thai and the will make Beef fried rice for my husband. Well when he came back the Pad Thai didn't have veggies, taste sweet as if they dumped orange chicken juice on top of the noodles, I hardly had a spoon out of the whole dish. Called again but the place was closed already. Called yesterday the restaurant was closed, call today left a message for the owner after explaining the taste of the famous Pad Thai he said his chef couldn't satisfy everyone's taste and his restaurant makes it different than other Thai places and for us to take it to our bank because he couldn't give us a credit he needs to pay his employees and refuse to acknowledge that they dumped what ever left the had or didn't have at the end of the day to my dish and wouldn't care.
