However at the end of the session the staff brought back out my receipt (I had paid with card before the session) to ask for a tip. As I was writing my tip the staff member told me to tip more, and then told me again to tip more (she directly said "Tip $20, no tip $25. Tip $35 yes.") I ended up tipping $35 for a $60 massage. I felt pressured and hadn't had any experience with full body massages before so I thought maybe this was standard? However I talked with my friend who recommended the place right after and they were shocked and upset at what had happened. I've worked in the service industry for a long time and I understand how necessary tipping is with how high cost of living can be. However, in this instance I felt taken advantage of. I won't be coming back to this establishment and neither will my friend who has been recommending this place for years.

Once I got there I was easily checked in and asked to fill the form of where I would like to focus on/avoid which I really appreciated. I highlighted my shoulders/traps area since that is where I carry most of my tension and pain. Upon entering the treatment room, it was quaint and perfect. My therapist started off in the areas that I experience the most pain and quickly helped me relieve the tenderness in those areas which I was so grateful for. I've been into countless other massage rooms where I spend nearly an arm and a leg and don't even provide any relief like my therapist Tina did! I was sooo so grateful, I could've cried. Throughout the whole treatment I felt really comforted and taken care of. Her touch was firm but most of all, perfect. The technique was unlike any other massage I've had in the best way possible. It was great. Dana was my massage therapist and it was a really bad experience. She did attempt to target areas that I told her were more painful. However, I couldn't focus and relax during my massage because she had a rolling chair that she continued to roll around while giving me a massage. I have never had anyone sit down while giving me a massage. Also, she was moving the table up and down and the noise of the motor/hydraulics was not allowing me to relax. I also couldn't help but the amount of noise while I was getting a massage from the hallway. I kept thinking she was going to stop rolling the chair and moving the bed up and down, but it just alternated throughout the entire 50 minutes. I was counting down till the time that it was over. This killed my whole experience I just left the spa didn't even utilize any other amenities. While checking out, there was only one man up there. He appeared to be maybe the manager and there was a really long line may have waited close to 10 minutes to be checked out. When I was checking out, he asked how was the service? I said it wasn't that great. He responded by giving me my total didn't inquire one bit. This was very disappointing as this was a graduation gift to me for my receiving my doctorate.
