    Was quoted over 2K (first option) Then over 3K (second option) To fix my AC that had just stopped working. The tech came in and tried selling me on 6+ items then tried pressuring me into doing a payment plan and becoming a member. I politely told him I don't have good enough credit for a payment plan, he ran the soft credit check anyway ensuring I'd be good. My credit was inevitably denied, so then his sales pitch turned to asking me who in my life can I ask to cosign for me. This company is a joke and brings salesmen to your home... not AC techs. THE NEXT DAY A FRIEND OF A FRIEND CAME OVER AND FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR FREE!!!!! FOR FREE!!! I TIPPED HIM $200 JUST FOR HIS TIME!!!!!! He will be coming back within the week to replace some other inexpensive parts that ensure the longevity of my unit and brought to my attention I have an active warranty. Attached is the invoice ARS gave me. Waste of money. Waste of time. I have to cleanse my house after the scammer sat in my dining room trying to rob me.

    This is long, but worth the read-especially if you're about to call ARS. ARS installed our Carrier mini split system just four years ago. Since then, it's been nothing but scare tactics, inflated quotes, and constant misdiagnoses. Every few months, the system would throw errors. First it was the control board, then the compressor, then they told us we'd be better off replacing the entire system they installed new 4 years ago. One time they said it was a burned-up wire and quoted a full replacement... then the system magically worked two days later for 5 more months. Guess the wire healed itself? Finally fed up, we called a licensed third-party HVAC company. They replaced both control boards (OEM), which fixed the communication issue, and confirmed the compressor was bad -- and under warranty. We told them company we just want to have ARS come out and get a price and see whats what.They got the compressor diagnosis right... but then tried to charge us for a brand-new inverter board that had been replaced HOURS earlier. Their quote was $2,289, "discounted" to $1,831.We ended up paying the other company $1,700 TOTAL -- boards, compressor, labor, and actual honesty. I wouldn't even be surprised if ARS sold us junk parts to begin with. That much failure in 4 years? Not normal. This isn't just bad service. It's price padding and pressure sales pretending to be repair work. Our AC is now working perfectly. We hired them other company and they came back out and installed the compressor. Get a second opinion. Get your receipts. And keep ARS far away from your system.

    I'm no air condition specialist, though I have sold (waterfront) real estate for over 24 years, but I could have presented a more comprehensive sales pitch than 'Robert' did. His lack of knowledge and authority were simply unacceptable.

Had a different Plumbing company come out to give me quote and even did a complimentary camera job. I viewed it and realized we need a new cast iron pipe replacement. That company was quite high, though, in pricing for anything and so I naively believed BBB and Angie's list and went with APEX. Anyway, long story short, the plumber from APEX, misled us into believing the sink drain was cleared. He couldn't find anything wrong with the toilet, he said. He did more investigating around the premises. I kept asking how much this was going to cost and he replied, "Don't worry about it." (Have footage on live camera).Then, when he was done, he told us it would be $325.00. He produced a tablet, stating that is where I needed to sign giving APEX permission to take my credit card.He said we'd receive an e-receipt along with other quotes and he was headed to his truck and would send it while parked there. After not receiving anything, I called his office and had to wait the next day. To our astonishment, the plumber had written very inaccurate assessment of things and even stated I agreed to a camera to check the pipe out. I made it clear we didn't need that.It turns out that he made my signature appear as if I agreed with his false quote which I never saw until a day later. Yesterday, a plumber representing APEX PLUMBING, surprised us by showing up. I was at work and saw on my live camera the guy preparing to do some work.Unannounced and without permission. Mother tried to tell him NO but he seemed to ignore her until he heard my voice on the camera and made him LEAVE. I was unsuccessful in fully communicating with his general manager, Frank. Had a hard time getting a working email from his office...I hear crickets ..I sent them an ULTIMATUM. And we want our $325 back as the sink is still clogged as is the toilet. APEX PLUMBING are SCAM artists trying to take advantage of the elderly. Mother is very disabled and half blind.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON APEX PLUMBING!!!! THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE WILL BE NOTIFIED!!!!

    This company takes pride on advertising themselves as providing very qualified service and…read moreprofessional. My experience with them has been a nightmare. Placed a service request for a noise inside my walls. The technician they sent was not qualified to detect the reason for the noise. The service was set for $99. Tech didn't resolve the issue, and charged me $274 for not resolving my issue, abd wasting my time. I was under the understanding I was signing for the service call, but the tech had added fees I didn't agree on, and for a resolution I didn't received. I have been disputing the charges for over a year. They keep telling me that the bill will be resolve, but they were lying to me. A year passed, and I didn't received a 2nd bill. Thought the bill was resolved, as they said, but to my disappointment, I received the bill again. Called, they said it will be resolved. A few more months passed. The bill showed up again. They said I was in collections, but unable to provide info. about the collection agency that was sent to. Referred me to Corporate. Talked to 3 reps. No resolution. They sent me back to Midway. They said they knew nothing about it. Called back to corporate. They connected me to a supervisor named Liz, she said Austin was ready to talk to me, refused to give me his number. She disconnected the can, and Austin never called. At this point, I am not willing to pay that bill, as it has costs me more to have called them to begin with, than it cost me to resolve the noise inside my walls, which only took 2 minutes to resolve, should the technician had been able to distinguish a water noise, vs an electrical noise. A friend, over the phone, many hours away was able to detect that it was a water leaking from my garden house outside my house. Do not use this company, as, you would not be able to resolve an issue that might present to you, due to their incompetence. So far, throughout my life, I have been able to maintain a credit score of 850. They are willing to ruin that instead of holding accountability, and maintain customer satisfaction. Very sad.

I previously had a good experience with them so we signed up for a contract for water and air maintenance. The last time they came out to check the air, the workers broke the stairs to our attic. I understand that accidents happen but instead of being transparent and letting me know, they just closed the attic stairs and left. We reached out to management and never received a call back. More recently, I scheduled an appointment to have our annual water inspection and have the salt replaced. It was a four hour morning window in which I had to arrange someone else to take my kids to school. No one came. And when I called, no apology was given. They just set up another appointment.
