The place was packed. I don't know why, we had terrible service. The waitress had a bad attitude. I ordered the chicken fingers, and they were rock hard and super dry. I don't understand how you can mess up chicken fingers. My 2 friends got burgers, and they were very average nothing to brag about. My other friend got the calamari, and there were only 7-8 pieces on the plate, so if you're ordering it to share with the table, don't bother. Waste of money. I will not be back. There were not really any redeeming qualities. Also, it was hot in there. & they charged us full price for happy hour drinksJust another pretentious, overhyped place.

Love Art Bar! Such a great spot to meet up in West Village. But be warned-it gets PACKED! I've usually been able to squeeze and share a table if I come with just one person. But if you're coming with a bigger group, definitely come early. I had a YUMMY hot toddy that made me happy. I've been here quite a few times as it's my go to bar in West Village, but one afternoon I sat at the bar by myself with my hot toddy and it was so pleasant while empty. For obvious reasons, their happy hour deal is incredible and that's when it's nearly impossible to find a table. So if you can get there at the early end of happy hour, I'd recommend :) They also have food which isn't too bad! Oh...and jello shots out of these huge syringes! hahaha

Just tried this place last night and we loved it! Go to the back room full of couches and lounging. The vibe is relaxed - comfortable. The drinks a great and very affordable. Our server was very nice and professional. Couldn't have had a better experience. We are going back tonight.

Cool bar in the west village! I came here on a Friday with a friend and we were lucky enough to find 2 seats at the bar. Entire place was packed. We got: - Angry orchard cider - lychee martini ($13) - I didn't really like this... - martini - calamari - chicken fingers There's a cool loungey vibe space in the back that would have been cool to sit in but there were no seats available. There's 2 single stall bathrooms. Service was good. I'd come back again!

Good for group setting if you can manage to find seating. Seating is random in the back as the chairs and placement are arranged for conversation. Would recommend for a chill more intimate vibe...not for pregaming

Drinks during happy hour didn't taste that great but the price is a huge plus. Update: Originally gave it a three star but now changing it to a one. I can't believe I ran into yet another dishonest business where they charge you more than what was written on the receipt. These businesses have absolutely no shame. BE SURE TO MAKE SURE THEY CHARGE U THE PRICE YOU WROTE

Cute little hipster restaurant in west village. Had cute little tapas that were fresh. We enjoyed the fish tacos and loaded nachos.

I was introduced to this place over a decade ago by grad school friends and remembered really liking it for their gin & tonics and veggie dumplings. I finally went again with my partner late on a weeknight after drinks elsewhere, and it didn't disappoint. The bartender was on her game and funny, and it was a racially-mixed crowd, which I pretty much insist on since it IS New York City. The dumplings are no longer on the menu, but the food we ordered came out fast: I loved my vegetarian sliders--you can get them with or without the cheddar cheese--and my partner (from Texas) enjoyed her 1/2 lb. sirloin hamburger and curly fries. I got the salad side but wanted a few fries, and once I encouraged my gf to have some of my salad she realized she didn't hate it, lol. Onion rings are the third side option, and best of all you can worry less about the fried stuff here as the vegetable oil they use has zero trans fats (if you care about this kind of stuff).

The fire pit provided the warmth I needed.

I'll keep it short. Nice ambiance, almost like a speakeasy vibe with the fire pit being the cherry on top, good drinks, and fast service. We ordered three drinks, paid the bill then to realize we were charged for four drinks. It took a while to find the waitress to address the problem, but once I showed her the mistake, she apologized and refunded the difference. I read on Google that this happened to another patron. I highly recommend you read your bill thoroughly before paying.

Is there an area with a television? Specifically one that streams Knicks games?

No - definitely not a sports bar by any means

    Is there an outdoor area?

    Yes

How is this place for a gathering for coworkers farewell? Would love to try! Thank you in advanced for any tips! ??

Tam, The back lounge area is great for coworkers hanging out. I would say, rent out the back area if you have more than 15 people to accommodate. Call the bar to get more…

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

It was on a weekday, the day of NBA Finals Game 3 when everyone else were at bars & lounges getting ready for the game to start. This afforded us a beautiful and tranquil experience at Osamil Upstairs. Hidden behind a locked door inside Osamil, it's a spot you have to seek out to get in. After we shared we were going to Osamil Upstairs, the hostess from Osamil promptly unlocked the unmarked door for us to head upstairs to Osamil Upstairs. Had other customers not come out as we were walking up the stairs, we might have passed the entrance to Osamil Upstairs and continued upward! Much like what you might expect of a speakeasy, it's well-hidden, and the interior just blows the mind. It's elegant, beautiful, and comfortable. The drinks were good. My cheese in the trap was smokey (as promised!) and alcohol forward. My hubby had the Jung cocktail and it had the most magical, delicious combination of flavors! We also ordered a foie gras with toast appetizer as a pre-dinner snack; it was OK. All in all, a really pleasant experience and we'd return if we were in the area again!

Due to some unforseen circumstances (on our part being First time visitors not understanding NY traffic) we were short on time and they were still able to accommodate us! We were looking forward to do one their prix fix menus but had to cut our time shorter. We had the shrimp cocktail, would recommend and also really loved the serving coupe it came in! Fried artichokes that were mid at best and saved by the sauce it comes with. To save time we split the steak frites, I would recommend, though bot as tender as I normally like, I appreciate the serving and flavorful bites. The drinks are amazing and we love how they're all accompanied by a story! I had the heir to empire and our lovely waitress asked for my favorite color and when the drink arrives, it came with a little coaster in purple! And it was strong without it being overwhelming. For the remaining of dinner, I had a red wine and it was a perfect choice for the meal. Our trip to New York was too short because we wished we had been able to go back and check out their live performances. The vibe if the place was moody and inviting and we wished we could have gone back! We loved the Broadway homage throughout without being tacky.
