I was having problems with my CPU overheating and figured my CPU cooler was to blame. I found Art on google and saw the good reviews and decided to give a call and brought my PC in. He gave me a price for the parts and then for installation and it was all pretty reasonable. Got my PC back by the end of the same day. Would highly recommend him, he seemed very knowledgeable and timely with his service. 10/10 read more

Contacted a few businesses and decided to go with Art. I decided to go with Art because he was very honest and gave me a really good price to replace my laptop keyboard. When I reached out to Art, I told him my the letters on my keyboard weren't working. Instead of just replacing it, he suggested I wait 2 days incase my keyboard just got wet and to reach out again if it didn't fix on its own. I really appreciated the honesty and how he didn't just try to take my money right away. Thanks Art! Mentioned we had a drive that needed data recovery and he offered to give it a look at no cost. Recovery ended up being half of what other people will charge you for a simple data retrieval. Art is good at what he does. He's professional, does what he says he's going to do and in a timely manner. I was having issues loading windows onto a newly built PC and he got me squared away in a day. Now you may be asking yourself "how is a day's time to load windows onto a PC quick?!" The stacks of PCs and laptops in the shop let you know he's constantly working and making repairs. It helps that he has deep PC knowledge, but is also personable and provides great customer service. I have a MacBook Air which had been misbehaving too frequently - malware, mysterious loss of files, unable to go online or use apps, install updates among other things. I painfully decided to erase the HD and factory reset laptop. I couldn't do the latter. Ultimately, I couldn't install OS. Art was honest and upfront about cost and labor. The turn around was quick, and I got my laptop exactly how it was when I first bought it but with OS Catalina. For all you Apple users reading this: Art told me newest OS Big Sur is ok to install. However laptop is quite old that it might not be compatible with other app updates etc. And so that's another thing...if he doesn't know about something, he can provide a recommendation, tell you about someone or other company that knows. And don't we just love people who admit they don't know but still can help? Art PC Repair is amazing. P.S. Returning customer alert! I went back to get laptop battery replaced. read more

Recently, I had just changed out a few of my parts since I needed to upgrade for gaming/streaming uses. After switching out my motherboard, gpu, and cpu - I had noticed that my computer had difficulty turning on and was taking extremely long to access my hardware files. Art was very knowledgeable and explained to me all the possibilities of what may need to be done. After the diagnostics were done, he had explained to me that the temperatures in my rig were running hot and he recommended me to change it out to preserve all my precious hardware. I purchased a new aio cooling unit, ram sticks, and fans and he was able to install everything for me. He was also nice enough to reorganize my cables and clean out the dust inside my pc! He gave me a 30 day trial to ensure everything is running fine and if I had any problems within this time period to return to him. Overall, so happy with all my new changes. The service was prompt, detailed, and affordable. I think I have found my new pc guy! read more

I have used ART PC REPAIR at least 8 times over the past 10+ years actually for my Apple Products, most recently he replaced a mother/logic board on a 10+ year old MacBook Pro (it runs like day one again) I loved the service so much I replaced a battery in a 15 year old MacBook Pro, he is simply the best at what he does, fair prices and extremely fast turn around. I brought an old 2010 Toshiba laptop into Art to see if he could salvage it's sluggish performance. I highly recommend an appointment, as the shop is very small, parking is limited in the area, and based on this and other reviews, walk-ins are tough. Art met me promptly, took the time to let me explain the problem and then opened up the laptop to walk me through a few things. He noticed right away that the disk transfer rate was extremely low. He recommended an increase in that speed, along with new anti-virus software. He told me it would be $120 plus tax and that I could pick it up the next day. I could try it out and if I wasn't satisfied, I could get a refund from him within 24 hours. I picked it up the next day, and as promised, the computer was back up and working fast and as powerful as ever. Art even showed me what he did with the disk transfer settings, and once could clearly see they had been updated (along with anti-virus) and everything worked great. He even recommended I get another batter from Amazon for fairly cheap if I want to have a longer lasting machine off the power cord. For $120 (plus tax), I was able to have a solid computer for the next couple of years without having to shell out top dollar for a new Macbook Pro, or even a new Toshiba laptop. Would highly recommend Art. He knows his stuff and is a very nice, friendly guy who takes the time to make sure his customers are looked after. read more

Art was recommended by a friend, who's been going to him for years. I was having issues with my computer turning on and upon taking a look at my computer, he was able to tell what was possibly the issue. He was able to upgrade my hard drive and save all my data I had in the old one. On top of being nice and honest, his timing was great. If i run into any other issues I will most def be coming back o Art. I'll be back in a month with an update on how my computer is working for anyone who is reading this and wondering. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. I first reached out to Art over the weekend after I spilled liquid on my laptop, he gave me advice at no charge. On Monday morning I ended up going to Art to request service on my laptop. It turns out that my keyboard needed replacing and he gave me an estimation of 4-7 days. By Thursday morning he had texted me that my keyboard was replaced and ready for pickup. He made sure to check the keyboard in front of me so I could see that it was working fine and he even showed me the box so I could see that he ordered the replacement straight from the company. It was all under $200. I know other places would have charged me way more and taken much longer. He was professional and welcoming. Definitely recommend him for all computer/laptop needs. read more

I think that a lot of people may have a problem with an increased price after diagnosis, but I think that's expected with camera repair. Art is fantastic! I used him once before for an issue with my laptop screen and he was fast, honest, and able to diagnose it over the phone. This second time around he did not disappoint! I changed my router name/password and after doing so, my laptop wouldn't connect. Every other device in my home was working just fine. The phone carrier threw their hands up and said it wasn't their issue and I needed to find a computer guy. Lucky for me, I already had one! Art said to bring it right in. He had it fixed by that afternoon and even tried to help me out with some barely hanging on hinges. He was really honest with me about how much i should invest in this old laptop, and when I should start to look for a replacement. I spilled a little bit of tea on only the trackpad area of my MacBook and took it to Apple for servicing at first, where they quoted me a ridiculous, blood-pressure-raising price-- enough to just buy a brand new MacBook instead. I took 2 of my computers to Art so he could fix them. They both were running extremely slow and had viruses to a point that rendered both computers non-functional. Fast service and great price for replacing DC jack. Half of what I was quoted by another place. Art did not have the part for my laptop, but ordered it for me. Brought it in Friday afternoon, and got a text message Saturday morning telling me my laptop was ready for pickup. The only thing is terrible parking at the the tiny shopping center. The guy at the discount store downstairs watches "his" parking spots like a hawk. The two spots that are for all the businesses in the shopping center were taken both times I went there (to drop off and pick up my laptop). I suggest finding a parking spot on the street. My pc went on the fritz, I did all kinds of reboots, restores and resets to no avail, called other PC repair services and was told it would be a week for them just to evaluate. I took it in to Art on a referral, the next day he told me what was wrong with my computer (a faulty solid state drive), he had a replacement in stock for a good price, the next day my computer was good as new, I picked it up less than 48 hours after I first took it in. Incredibly responsive and quick turnaround time. Initially, I took my Mac to Apple which told me it would take 3-4 days to fix and cost $150. I emailed Art on a Sunday who responded within the hour and told me to bring it in Monday (as he isn't open Sunday). I brought it in Monday morning and it was fixed by 3pm the same day, for significantly less than what Apple was going to charge. I gave Art my HP laptop to remove a virus, and I picked up my laptop in less than 2 days. My laptop ran as new when I turned it on the next day, so he did a great job fixing it. He installed an Antivirus system to which he had a recurring subscription for no additional charge, and he also managed to save all of my important documents for school and work. But what really impressed me was how Garnik actually took the time to explain everything instead of just doing the work and handing it back. He didn't just slap on new thermal paste and call it done. He properly reapplied the paste, then noticed my fan configuration was all wrong and moved everything to the correct CPU pump headers and fan headers. He walked me through exactly what was causing the thermal problems and how he fixed them, then stress tested the whole system right in front of me so I could see it was running properly. Garnik was super knowledgeable, friendly, and got everything done way faster than I expected. It's honestly rare to find someone who knows their stuff this well and actually takes the time to make sure you understand what's going on with your build.
