The ube latte here... WOW. My partner came by recently to get us one to share but we really should've gotten one each, especially since they only come in the Medium size (we usually share a Large). It was so smooth, so aromatic, so delicious. I love that it's an espresso + ube drink. The ones I've had before are typically an ube-only drink, charging extra if you want to add an espresso shot. I will be back for sure, and I'm not sharing next time. And for about $6.50! So worth it. read more

Ube latte was a no for me- ube flavor was so light and no coffee taste really, mainly milk Pandan latte was just as disappointing- light pandan flavor and no coffee taste I was watching them making it and no shot of espresso was put in it. So I'm really not sure what type of coffee they use in the drink. a latte is a shot of espresso and milk so if they're not using a shot of espresso that explains why there isn't a coffee taste. Cute and cozy coffee spot in the heart of Chinatown. Not only does this NY local coffee shop have delicious drinks and treats, they also support local artists. You can find fun rotating installations of art on their walls. During this visit there was an installation by Joy Tien - colorful punch needle ornate skull hoops. There's also a variety of very cool and functional merch made up of the featured artist merch and local businesses - ex: coffee cup slings, stickers, phin filter, totes, postcards, coffee, and more - perfect gifts to treat yourself or friends. The environment was warm and cozy, especially on this gloomy day. Staff were warm and welcoming when we stopped in. Because of the weather, my brother and I decided to sit indoors to catch up and chat. Although, if was warmer, we would have definitely taken up residence on one of the many cafe tables lining the street outside. As far as our drink, we chose to try the Ube latte. I am a big Ube fan and this Ube latte was especially delicious and well balanced. Sometimes it can be heavy on the espresso or milk, but this drink was the perfectly balanced portion of milk, espresso, and Ube. We got the iced version, although on a cold day a hot version would probably be a better move. Either way, if you love local and want to find a yummy spot for a refreshing drink and cute merch all in one space, this is a must stop. read more

Not much to say except that it's literally tucked on what used to be a very quiet street in Chinatown. This was a couple weeks ago and the sun was beaming, they had their windows open which allowed the space to feel really open. The menu is fairly simple and straightforward. I saw an older Chinese man order in Chinese and thought it was so awesome that locals are giving this place a try! My husband got the americano which he said it was great. I had the iced matcha latte which was 1/10. I had it with oatmilk and all I tasted was oatmilk and no matcha flavoring at all. I asked a couple of questions on sugar and caffeine and they weren't able to give me a proper answer besides "well, I like matcha". Truly a disappointment for a $7 latte. read more

Got the ube latte as it was recommended by the barista and is their most popular drink! Personally not a huge fan of ube, but this coffee was really good! The ube flavor was mild and I think they added chocolate shavings over the espresso shot. No indoor seating but there are a few tables with umbrellas outside in the alley that are shared with other storefronts. And I loved the AAPI art on display :) read more

i tried the ube latte and the shaken espresso. the ube latte is very mid but it was good nonetheless! The shaken espresso however was not my cup of tea. it was super sour and like the description, felt like it had NO condensed milk, no vanilla, just tasted like a sour gross espresso. i'm thoroughly disappointed and wasted $6 on it. definitely wasn't worth the hype but the store was beautifully decorated and the service was great! Great coffee shop on a cute street with outdoor seating in Chinatown. The staff is super kind & efficient. The menu is very reasonably priced for specialty coffee. We went with a Large Drip Coffee ($3.50) and an Iced Ube Latte ($5.50). Both were delicious! Ube Latte especially was one of my favorites; where Ube Lattes can sometimes skew too much to the sweet side, Artbean's was perfectly balanced! Personally was not a fan of their drinks. Awhile back, i tried their own ube latte (iced) it was very bland and seem like it was badly mixed as well. Didnt think the ube flavor came across. Considering it a fluke, tired the brown sugar latte. Was expecting to be amazing consider they said they made the syrup in house. But personally the flavor was very light and so was the expresso. The baristas here were incredibly kind and patient in spite of the crowd of people waiting in line for their coffees. My name was never taken at the cash register, so someone who ordered in line after me wound up grabbing my drink (we placed the same order) and I had to wait a few extra minutes for theirs to come out. I ordered their house-made chai, which was certainly packed with flavor but a bit too strong for my personal taste. If you're into a strong chai, though, this might be the one for you.
