Love this place. Theres just a few concerns. The Oreo Matcha Frappe we ordered was too watered down by the sheer amount of ice used so my friend couldn't really experience the full flavor of the drink. And for the to-go orders we had, The Yaki Udon and Honey Glazed Chicken, the portions were too small and not worth the price we paid. We saw inside that the portions of the food to dine-in were significantly more than what we had. And the Yaki Udons flavor was not really that good. Id suggest adding more spices or sauces to enhance the flavor. But i still love this place but today was kinda a disappointment. read more

Adding to my review as they are the best boba tea option available in SA - even if during this time we can only order take out or delivery. I decided to order delivery from them a few days ago. I ordered the pork belly don and a large signature milk tea with tapioca and egg pudding. I ordered the milk tea with no ice as I wanted to make sure it wasn't watered down by the time it got to me. To my surprise, when my order was delivered the cup was filled all the way to the rim and it had no ice. Usually businesses will only fill the cup up halfway if you request no ice so I truly appreciate that Artea still fills the cup up all the way. The pork belly don was good, the soft boiled eggs were cooked just right. I would order it again - however I would probably prefer to eat it there in person just because my rice became a little mushy and clumped by the time it was delivered to me. Popped in here after visiting a nearby park. Food was fantastic. A small menu but everything we tried was very tasty. The flavor profile is really consistent with Taiwanese cooking which is rare to find in any Asian restaurant, let alone one in San Antonio. Would definitely get everything again, but our favorites were the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and honey glazed chicken bites. This is also the first place in San Antonio that we have been that actually cooks their Boba properly to get the sweetness into them. This is a little gem on the northwest side. read more

The chicken was fried perfectly and wasn't too oily and is the perfect appetizer or late night snack. The udon was also really good, the broth was the right amount of savory and salty. Love, love this place! I have a boba tea addiction. I've been looking for a good boba tea place that I don't have to drive across town to get my fix. I can't say enough good things about this place but the milk tea with pudding and boba is my favorite. My husband loves their taro milkshake and the grapefruit passion slush. I'm always in a rush to stab in the straw and gulp down my milk tea that I don't get a chance to take any pics. When I get my hands on their milk tea, the world falls away and it's just me and milk tea with pudding and boba. We had also ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and let me tell you, it had sweet, salty, savory umami flavors. The popcorn chicken was already in a secure takeout box but they double wrapped it in plastic anyway, very considerate of them. I'm so glad they are open. Ordering through the apps is so easy and servers come out immediately before you even finish parking. I can see that they are doing their best to provide safety protocols for their staff and customers while still providing good service. You can tell the boba is made fresh because it's not hard and difficult to chew. The staff is friendly and service is fast (download the app and collect excellent rewards). Probably one of the better boba places in San Antonio at the moment. This place has a really nice mix of atmosphere, food, drinks, and games. There is a nice little selection of food options - different udons, noodles, appetizers, chicken dishes, and even baos. There is also a good selection of milk teas and other drinks with several toppings to choose from. It's also fun to come as a group since there are multiple board/table games to play. I've been to so many places and I mean hundreds that serve bubble tea and out of every single one of them this place is the BEST. They have all sorts or bubble tea here and so many different flavors. The boba is the most delicious I've ever had with its perfect flavor of sweetness. Randomly wandered into Artea the other day and I'm very pleased that I did. Cute deco - check. Board games the whole family can enjoy - check. Yummy drinks with BOBA! - check. Delicious food- check check check! One of my favorite features of this business was the little bar area in the front. It makes it easier for those parties of one to prop themselves up front and center to enjoy a meal/drink and still be alone but also still part of the mix. The honey bacon glazed chicken was very delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and the flavor was delicious. Although, I didn't really taste bacon nor were bacon pieces present to enhance that flavor profile. But I was starving when I arrived and these little chicken bites were good! The edamame was perfectly spicy and deliciously charred on the outside. The spice was just the right amount to give you a solid kick but keep you coming back for more. I couldn't stop eating. And shamelessly, I didn't, until every last drop of food was done. I have no regrets! Ha! I ordered the Taro Milkshake as a cherry on top for all the calorie loading I was doing and it was worth it too. Don't expect that creamy purple drink you get at most boba spots. This place doesn't add coloring and uses REAL taro for their drinks. That doesn't mean sacrificing flavor though! The actual drink wasn't overly sweet and a little grainy to let you know it's real... I will most definitely be back. 4 stars for now cause it was my first time so there's always room to grow... I'd been meaning to try this place for a while since I live down the road. I'm glad I finally did. The food and the drinks are good. I loved the popcorn chicken, but it does have heavy breading (which I was fine with) so it creates a unique texture and thickness to it. The Gua Bao was very good. It is quite sweet, though, so be aware of that. The pot stickers were tasty as well. They are drizzled with sauce and the sauce is good, but I will probably ask for it on the side in the future (just because it can be a lot). The Yaki Udon (in its standard form) was not for me. It has a very fishy taste (even when I attempted to tone it down without losing its character). That being said, that's more of a me issue than a knock on the entree. The main reason I'm giving this experience and restaurant five stars is that the staff and Marissa (I believe this is who helped me) specifically were extremely helpful. From helping me to modify the udon at the beginning of the order to ultimately replacing the udon with another fresh helping of it with basically all ingredients stripped (at my request), they were fantastic. I made the choice to try and tweak the entree and they were still willing (and with kindness) to make it right for me. Thanks!
