    Espresso martini

Fairly okay bar inside the art house hotel. Can be hit or miss depending on the bartender. Stick to basic fare to get most bang for your buck. The more complicated the cocktail, the more off the taste seems. Simpler options (like martinis) are done fairly well. Overall not bad for a hotel bar, but better options fairly nearby. Order a drink at the bar and make your way to more cushioned seating next to the elevators.

    Fabled flower

If you need a STRONG after work drink, then look no further. I got a drink called fabled flower which was gin based and it was absolutely delicious and very strong. The service was a bit slow, but they only had 2 bartenders serving both the bar and surrounding areas so I'm not surprised. They lost a star because it was supposed to be happy hour with $14 cocktails but I was charged full price ($19) for mine even tho I ordered before 7. I was too lazy to dispute it but look at all charges before giving your card. I had my drink solo & didn't feel awkward or rushed so it's great for solo drinkers or groups. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Such a delicious bar with drinks made perfectly here!! Highly recommend stopping in for a drink. The waiter and bartenders were really nice!! Cozy environment.

Found this place to meet a friend on the UWS based on all of the good Yelp reviews. The bar is located in the lobby of the Arthouse hotel and is small and intimate. They have several tables and comfy couches to sit, drink and relax. They DO NOT serve food, so much keep that in mind. They also have a grand piano that plays music at 7:30pm on select evenings. For happy hour, they had $10 glasses of wine and specials on beers on tap. Only one red and one white variety were on the happy hour menu, but we didn't mind. This spot is great for a first date as it's quiet and has classy décor. The bartender was friendly; the bar counter itself is small with 2-3 seats so plan on sitting at a table. This is the type of place where you grab your drinks from the bar and then go find a table; there is no waiter service. The bar filled up around 7pm, most likely for the live music that was going to begin. I'd definitely stop back however; their happy hour menu was underwhelming.

Cinnamon roll, almond croissant, and iced oat-milk latte

This is place is the perfect combo of good atmosphere and yummy pastries. I've only been here during the day for the coffee shop, but it's on the list to come back at night for the bar scene. In the morning it's the best spot of a lazy morning coffee and pastry. They have nice comfy chairs behind the bar, it's not to busy but busy enough to feel like it's a more happening spot. So we got two pastries the cinnamon roll and almond croissant. They were both quite delicious. The cinnamon roll was probably my favorite but I would definitely order both of them again. The frosting on it was soo good and we didn't realize until getting deeper into it that it was chocolate flavored too . The almost croissant would have been better if we had heated it up but it was still quite yummy and filling was perfect. The coffee was tasty too! Will be back here again :)

Nothing special. Go to the many other amazing places the UWS has to offer for these prices and better quality.

How do I make a reservation?

Do yoy have a food menu? I don't see an update from your last post 11 months ago that asked the same question.

I've only been here for the drinks however j was here about 2 weeks ago and saw people had ordered food. You could try calling them to see if they could let you know if the food menu remains the same or not

Is there a food menu listed anywhere online? I have seen their wine list but would love to know where I can find what foods they offer. Thanks in advance!

Hi UWsider M! We are working on food options now, and should have an update very soon. Stay tuned! In the meantime we would love to see you here for one of our great wines!

How could I not love a place with the name, Scarlet Lounge?…read more It takes a lot to get me to venture to this part of town and I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a night out on the Upper West Side, but Scarlet has been on my list since I saw owner, Michael Imperioli's announcing the opening on Instagram. I found myself in the area on recent Friday evening and decided to meet up with two friends here. I was smitten at first sight of the beautifully-appointed room, with seductive red drapery and gold accents. All I wanted to do was curl up on one of the velvet chairs and spend my entire evening captivated by imagined past lives of this space... Dorothy Parker holding court here with her Vicious Circle, sipping on Gibsons and martinis. You're going to have a glorious time. We were welcomed by a dashing gentleman at the door who kindly found us seating in the sultry little nook by the piano. Our server never left us wanting for anything and believe me, we wanted it all. Cocktail names are well-priced, especially for Manhattan. I kept to a decent bubbly and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time here.

ONE BARTENDER FOR THE ENTIRE BAR -- READ BEFORE YOU GO:…read more I've never felt more gaslit by positive reviews in my life. The people calling this place "amazing" are either Sopranos fans, personally connected to management, or grading on an unbelievably generous curve. I have absolutely nothing to gain from distorting my experience. And judging by reviews like Benny R's below, I'm clearly not the only one saying this: if you go to The Scarlet, expect to wait forever, get ignored, and leave frustrated. And the worst part? It's not even a one-off bad night. I've been to The Scarlet multiple times, and every single visit has been the exact same mess: one bartender trying to run the entire place alone while customers sit around waiting endlessly for service. Last night (May 20), there were around 20-25 people in the bar between the tables and bar seats, and a single bartender was expected to do everything: make drinks, take orders, deliver cocktails to tables, clear space at the bar, all of it. Unsurprisingly, service moved at a glacial pace. My date and I were seated when we arrived and after waiting 30 minutes without anyone coming over, I finally had to walk up to the bar and order my own drink. It was deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. Management charging $25 per cocktail while refusing to properly staff the place is ridiculous. If you're going to price drinks like a luxury lounge, at least operate like one. MEMO TO MANAGEMENT - stop being cheap and hire another bartender. Your customers are paying enough to deserve basic service.

Usually that would mean that service is faster as the staff are walking out of the kitchen, but the service here was unbearably slow. We had to crane our heads to get our orders taken, to find someone to give us our bill, and to ask about our order. We ordered a drink (the second drink was sold out and my friend was uninterested in other options) and two appetizers and the drink came first, followed by a twenty minute wait for calamari. The calamari was probably the thinnest squid in the ocean and looked like shoestring fries, but the sauce it came in was delicious. There were approximately three zucchini sticks and four peppers in the calamari, which is on par with many restaurants, but less bang for your buck. It eventually became clear after another 10 min wait that our truffle fries were nowhere to be seen, and since we had to leave for our dinner reservation soon we struggled to flag a server, who then told us that they never put in our fries order. We obviously did not ask them to start making it for us, instead asking for the bill and then leaving. I wish I liked this place more than I did, but the service and staff here were so slow and hard to flag down it felt like we spent our entire meal looking around.

A Must-Visit NYC Gem: Incredible Music, Food, and Energy! If…read moreyou want the ultimate New York City night out, Prohibition is the place to be! We had an absolute blast from the moment we stepped inside. The whole experience--from the warm welcome at the door to the high-energy live music--was 10/10. The Food Experience: Truly Next Level The food here isn't just "bar snacks"--it's a full-on culinary experience. We tried several dishes and honestly, every single one was a hit: * Grandma's Sunday Sauce: This was the star of the show. It's pure comfort in a bowl and tastes like it's been simmering for days. * The Bacon: You can't go wrong here. It's perfectly prepared, smoky, and dangerously addictive. * The Burrata: So fresh and creamy--the perfect way to start the meal. * Crispy Shrimp: These had the perfect crunch and were packed with flavor. The Vibes & Service The host set the tone right away with a great welcome, and the service throughout the night was seamless. It's rare to find a spot that balances a sophisticated "speakeasy" atmosphere with such friendly, attentive staff. And of course, the music! The live band was electric and kept the energy high all night long. The "Roaring 20s" vibe is so well-done--it feels intimate but exciting at the same time. Final Verdict I would definitely suggest Prohibition to everyone! Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, this is the spot for great food, amazing service, and a vibe you won't find anywhere else. We'll definitely be back for more!
