Awesome find by my girlfriend! We enjoy the the whole food truck park here at Thicket Food Park but ARTIPASTA stoke out heart! The first time we came at a weird time and they weren't open but this time we got to enjoy some great looking and even better tasting food! The woman at the counter (sorry I didn't ask for your name) was incredibly nice and knew her menu well! She gave great recommendations to other guests that wanted them! I had the Gnocchi that came with fresh mozzarella and basil on top that was AMAZING! My GF is a picky eater and she LOVED her penne with Parmesan cream sauce and she even tried mine!!! I've been dying to try this little Italian food truck for.. YEARS. No lie. Im not sure why I never got around to it, especially since I've always lived close by, but I finally decided to grab some for dinner after a long road trip. I ordered the Maccheroni Creamy and Sausage Pasta as well as the Gnocci in a Gorgonzola Cream Sauce. The maccheroni is a fan favorite, or so I've heard, and I now know why. The pasta was perfectly Al dente, and the flavors were all so well combined. You get a taste of everything in every bite. The mushrooms still had a bite to them, but were thoroughly cooked, and the sauce was not too thick. It probably could have been the slightest bit thicker, but was delicious the way it was. My boyfriend is not a big fan of Italian food, and even he really enjoyed this dish. The gnocci was also very good, the pasta itself is so well executed, they are little pillows of heaven! Beware of the Gorgonzola cream, it has a very strong Gorgonzola taste to it so if you aren't a fan of strong cheese flavors, do not order it! I personally loved it, and I ordered it with the walnuts on top as intended. I do wish it came with chicken or something but I'm sure that's something I could add on :) And of course I would have really loved to get some yummy bread with my meal, but they don't offer it :( I was hoping to finish the sauce with some focaccia lol! Oh my goodness... The absolute BEST Italian in Austin comes from a food truck! You MUST order the tagliatelle with peas and ham and the caprese salad. Both are game changers!! This review is for the gnocchi and the service. I used to live in Europe and regularly would order gnocchi out. Since being back 12 years now, this is the closest thing I have found to my favorite meal out in Europe! If you like light soft fluffy cloud gnocchi or dense heavy gnocchi, this isn't really it. But if you like PERFECTLY cooked gnocchi and are on the hunt like I was, this is it!!! I got the gorgonzola and walnut gnocchi and I'm still thinking of it a week later. Delicious! I ordered the Tagliatelle and the flavor was amazing. I just wish the portions were larger since it was so good. I expected to get more food for my order but was satisfied and it's probably how much a portion should be. Ha! A little side salad and piece of bread would be nice to include with the pasta orders. I had a taste of the lasagna and it was very good as well. It was a unique but delicious take on lasagna. I'm used to lasagna smothered in red sauce but that was not the case here. This place was really amazing, definitely will be on our delivery rotation from now on! We (two of us) couldn't decide on what to get so we ordered three pastas. Our favorite was the tagliatelle with ham and sweet peas (light taste but so filling plus tons of peas and mushrooms), then the maccheroni creamy sausage with mushroom (mushrooms were cooked to perfection) last was the regular tagliatelle (too much rosemary for our liking). What an experience! Coming from NJ it was hard to get me to try Italian food from a food truck in Texas. Well boy was I surprised. I had the spaghetti carbonara it exceeded expectations! The crispy bacon offered a delightful counter texture. The sauce was also done very well. I look forward to trying more of the menu at a later date. read more

So, I had this food delivered and it was great. Creamy Parmesan pasta was next level tasty with loads of flavor for a pasta. Honestly would have been 5/5 review... however... I came another time to this food truck during normal open operating hours to find a note on the truck that said "back soon". Several other customers came by during this time and were turned off and walked away. I wish they were open during the hours they have posted - the food was so great. As a result, I sulked and ate at another food truck nearby. The guy didn't come back for at least 30 minutes. Just a sad experience as that was only my 2nd experience with this food truck... not sure how often that happens read more

Delicious! I've had a few things and all were great. I use the spice sprigs for days - so tasty and makes me want to go back. I can also order from delivery services which is awesome. Artipasta was a surprise in many ways (all of them good!) It's way, way down south 1st street, and while it doesn't actually take all that long to get there, it feels like a world away. I turned into the lot, not knowing what to expect, and found that there were at least 8 food trucks tucked away in a lot with a stage, an abundance of picnic tables, and plenty of trees providing much needed shade. It was 90+ degrees when I went, so I initially thought I might take my pasta to-go, but it felt a good 10-15 degrees cooler under the cover of the leaves overhead. For being off the beaten path, artipasta was definitely busy. It took 20-30 minutes for the pasta to come out, but with the cool breeze and a local band on stage, the time flew by. They also have an extensive menu. We'd debated a few pastas on the large menu on the left, and then spotted about four times as many options on smaller papers just as we were ready to order. The portions were generous--we ate about half, and ended up waiting an hour or so before diving into the panna cotta we ordered for dessert. The one odd thing we would have changed, if possible, was that the macaroni noodles were super short (like half the expected length?) so it was hard to keep them on our forks, but the sauces were amazing. Between the yummy pasta, the shade, and the abundance of food options should someone in your group not like pasta (There's poke, tamales, a vegan kitchen, etc!) it's pretty much the perfect place to eat outside this summer read more

My girlfriend and son are picky about their pasta... VERY picky, and both of them absolutely loved the dishes we got from here. I had the Maccheroni in cream sauce with beef and mushrooms and my girlfriend had the Penne in tomato sauce. The Maccheroni was so creamy and flavorful, unlike other places where the sauce is bland. The beef crumbles were also full of flavor and cooked to perfection, along with the mushroom. The penne in tomato sauce dish had one of the best-tasting tomato sauces I've had in a while. The dish's aroma let's you know how much flavor is encompassed. The dishes are a little pricey, but it's sooo worth the price. read more

I was in the mood for some real authentic Italian food. I don't go to Olive Garden or even Johnny carinos which is much closer to me than ARTIPASTA. I went expecting to go to a sit down restaurant and surprised it was a food truck. So we said let's go for it. My husband and 11yr old granddaughter. Food truck park was very nice with at least 8-11 trucks there. The atmosphere was nice. I was ordering at the window. The girl seemed to be ok. But when my husband picked up the food 20 min later she did not even crack a smile. My husband probably thanked her three times and not one cordial response from her. The food was OK. And definitely not enough food for being 13.00 a plate. It was a size of maybe a kids meal. It did fill up my granddaughter but not myself or my husband. We were still hungry. So for the 3of us we probably spent almost 40.00. My husband returned to the window to ask for more sauce. Extra sauce and a can drink came up to 7.00 more. Would I go there again? I really don't know maybe if they give a little more equivalent to a plate of food. read more
