I was impressed with the new changes at Arts Riot. The services is obviously well managed. Often in Burlington I find restaurants that are pseudo clean foodie situations with sneaky cheap ingredients where people who don't know, wouldn't recognize. I have to say I was deeply disappointed that ArtsRiot regressed back to using soy oil in their fryer. Soybean oil is not good to fry in because it can not withstand high temperatures, it is NOT a healthy oil for so many reasons; it's almost always GENETICALLY MODIFIED and we find it in most processed foods in America because soy is a subsidized crop. It is also high in Omega-6, which causes chronic inflammation, the root cause of most disease. Not to be confused with Omega-3 which most Americans lack in their diets (and is found in higher quality oils). Clean up your act Arts Riot using low quality soy oil is not in line with your mission of serving high quality foods. read more

Stopped in on a thursday at opening time. The room was a little chilly, but once we got settled and had some drinks things warmed up. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our cocktails arrived promptly and hit the spot. We had the 404 (?) burger, tasty and cooked to perfection, the Pork Belly, sweet and unctious resting atop crispy brussel sprouts, and finally the fried fish for two which was a perfect match of fried fish and spicy vegetables. ArtsRiot is an awesome place to check out while in Burlington. I was recommended this place by a local and went on a wednesday afternoon to check out the food and the venue. There is a nice seating outside, as well as inside. I sat at the bar and some other guest recommended the burger. The burger is made with beef that is ground at location -- really nice taste, as well as the sauce and bread. It was served with a side of fries, perfectly fried and with a hint of thyme, which made it all the better. Also got a beer and started talking with the bartender who was quick with making drinks and keeping everyone satisfied with a personal touch. Later on he even gave me another beer on the house since I was travelling and got all the way over there! Live music was playing, not too loud in the dining area, it added to the ambiance. There is a lot going on I heard -- didnt have the time to check it out but I heard good things! Cliche but the devil is in the details and they got them all right. read more

we were looking forward to returning to this place once everything reopened (and they got a new chef) but the food was lackluster and portions were small for the price. you could tell they were just kinda "fluffing" certain dishes. lots of bread in the mezze platter when it could have been a lot of fresh veggies; one thin slice of ham and what they were calling "crispy pork" (which was really slightly thicker ham and still floppy) on a cubano that was about 60% bread anyway; canned peas that should have been fresh in a katsu bowl that cost $16, stuff like that. waitstaff we're great, friendly and prompt. three stars is entirely for the food, quality and construction. read more

I am reviewing the food truck not the restaurant. The ArtsRiot food truck has got to be the worst, most overpriced food truck in all of Burlington! Average item cost is $15 or higher. You can eat at a decent sit in pub for that much (and not pay extra for the fries!). My "400 burger" was served as sopping wet mush that disintegrated as soon as I touched it. Impossible to eat and looked and tasted disgusting. My dog didn't even want it lol! My "truck fries" were so overcooked they were like trying to eat rocks and so oversalted I'd need a gallon of water (and blood pressure meds) to wash them down, if I didn't throw them in the trash, too. For the $20 I wasted on this garbage I could have gone to a real sit in restaurant. Put these losers and robbers out of business! Absolute embarrassment to the Burlington food truck scene. Getting better each year, still needs work, for example they are encouraging dogs, but it is far too loud for the dogs, and no dog water or soft surfaces for the dogs. There should be more items under 7. and many more non alcohol drink options and desserts. They should have the police stationed on Pine St for people crossing safely. Overall pretty good. read more

Great atmosphere and excellent attentive service. Good selection of local craft beers. For me, the star of the show was the burger. That was without a doubt the best hamburger I have ever had. Arts Riot is the "in" place to be. They appear to be on a mission to satisfy people. The food is well prepared, inventive, and fresh. The bar has an admirable beer selection along with inventive cocktails. The service is usually good, but every once in a while, you'll be mildly dissatisfied. That alone should never deter you from visiting again and again, everything else is great. read more

I had my 50th birthday party here....from conception to planning to service, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food? Well, delicious and PLENTIFUL! I decided to do family style southern food, and boy, they didn't disappoint. The platters kept coming and it was hot and really yummy. And the bill including a 20% gratuity was VERY reasonable. Meh. I was really excited to go here after the reviews, but just wasn't that impressed. We went for dinner. Its pricey and the portions are super small. The food was really good, but it wasn't great which is what I would expect for the prices/portions. They have cocktails but nothing super special and I love creative cocktails. It did look like the people watching the concert were having a good time so maybe going for shows is the way to go. read more

Cocktail culture shows in top shelf booze, an array of bitters and well stocked glassware. Chef George Lambertson is talented and energetic. The menu is a good value. The house smoked meat sandwich at $14 alone is worth the trip, rounded off with the generous order of thick cut fries, properly cooked and finished with some crispy rosemary. The "400 burger "for $10 is a good value . I'd add the lightly salted house made dill pickle at only 2 bucks to make a feast. George also presents daily specials like General Tso's Chicken The young staff knows their stuff. Eclectic, Hipster, Foodie, whatever you want to call it, get your arse there as you will not be disappointed. We started with the popcorn chicken & pork taquito's, and they were an excellent starter. Then, out of the clear blue, the manager brings over (5) steamed bao and they literally blew my mind. Arts Riot was recommended from Geoff the bartender at the Marriott Courtyard and he was SPOT ON! Excellent beer menu in a town where they take beer rather seriously. They're extremely passionate about their food, booze, having a good experience and the community which is a beautiful thing people. I wish there was an ArtsRiot in New Jersey. read more

An excellent establishment just outside downtown Burlington. ArtsRiot has a fantastic drink selection, and some of the most underrated food in the area. The cherry on top is that ArtsRiot regular hosts a ton of different events with local establishments such as TruckHop and Cinema Casualties--they even streamed the Democratic Debates this election season. I attended a wedding reception at ArtsRiot this weekend. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The food is first rate as was the beer and wine selection. The venue is open, friendly and unique. But what really put this place over the top was the staff and the service. They went over and above to make us feel welcome. I was giving a toast at the reception and needed some help staging some "theatrics" to accompany it. The staff was so gracious and so helpful at every step, I was stunned.
