I've been using Arya for years! I consistently have my work clothes and outerwear cleaned with Arya. For context, I drop off weekly. This week I went to drop off some clothing items (14 pieces) as I've done many times in the past-- usually I run in from the 5 min parking in front and drop them... this time I was told I needed to leave a card on file for 10 items or more--and it wasn't in the nicest manner. I was taken back by this, because I'm consistent with weekly dropping off bulk items, and I asked if it was a new policy. The young guy at the counter said it was. I ran out to my car to retrieve my wallet and ran back to leave my card on file. I have to be honest, I'm really frustrated by this new policy requiring a credit card to be kept on file. I've been a loyal customer for years and have never had an issue paying or picking up my items, so this sudden requirement feels unnecessary and disappointing. What makes even less sense to me is that the dry cleaner already has my clothing. If I didn't pay, I wouldn't get my clothes back anyway, so there is already an incentive for customers to pay before receiving their items. Requiring a card on file on top of that seems redundant and, frankly, a bit unreasonable for long-time customers with a good payment history. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We had a need for some dry cleaning that needed to be done in one day/overnight. I called and the lady who answered the phone said that they could do the job, but we would need to drop off by 6p, which was in 25 mins. We gathered all of our items and arrived at 5:45p. There is an Alterations person on site, which is FANTASTIC! The woman remembered me as the person who called and she helped us right away. Wonderful service. They texted us to let us know what time to pickup the next day. We picked up, the price was reasonable, and the items were perfectly dry cleaned! Thank you! I've been doing business with this location for as long as I've lived in the Otay Ranch area. Aside from occasional dry cleaning, I've primarily used them for alterations, and until this last visit, they consistently did great work. My wife brought in 5 pair of my pants to be hemmed -- something I've had done here many times before. The Arya employee measured the pants, and my wife even offered to leave a sample pair to use as a reference. The employee declined and said she didn't need the pants. The pants were dropped off on January 5. After three weeks, the work still wasn't done, and I hadn't received any call until the end of the third week. When they finally contacted me, I was told there were "measurement issues" and they weren't sure if what they recorded was correct -- after three weeks of having my pants. When the representative read the measurements to me, she said they were 34 1/2 inches. That immediately raised concerns, since the pants I brought in are a 32x30. There's no logical way the length could be 34 1/2 inches. I went in the next day, and she measured the sample pants in front of me -- from the waistline instead of the inseam. I had to explain that pants should be measured from the inseam for hemming. At that point, it became clear there was a lack of basic knowledge regarding alterations. I hoped that once the mistake was identified, it would be quickly resolved. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I received another call the following Monday with continued confusion about the measurements. Since the seamstress was on-site, I left work to go in and straighten everything out. The seamstress explained that the employee who helped me was new. By the time I finally received my pants, nearly four weeks had passed -- for a simple hemming job that should have taken a week to a week and a half. While the seamstress herself has always done good work and was very apologetic, the overall handling of the situation by the employees was unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was no meaningful effort to make things right. I was charged full price and only given two $5 coupons for the inconvenience, after the expressing my dissatisfaction with the customer service and lack of knowledge on the part of the employee-- after nearly a month of delays, repeated errors, and lost time leaving work to resolve their mistakes. There was no value here, financially or in terms of customer service. This experience ultimately broke my trust in this business. There were multiple opportunities to correct the situation, and none were taken. While I've had good experiences in the past and appreciate the seamstress's prior work, this last visit cost me significant time and frustration. Given how expensive tailoring already is, I can't justify continuing to deal with this level of service. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Brought cleaning they said it would ready today 12/20/25 at 9am was leaving for a cruise and told them upon drop off. They understood the situation and hence had me pick up an 9am on a Saturday just before driving to LA to board my cruise. Upon picking up at 9 am sharp THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT READY. They handed me my stuff in the same condition. They had not even started it! They lied upon taking it in. They told me one price when I dropped off. Such a bummer. Close to my office, dry cleaning and alterations. First visit was for alterations. 10 day turnaround for hemming a pair of pants seemed slow but it was convenient and I was happy with the result. Then I dropped off a comforter for dry cleaning. They told me it would be $70 but the next day I received a coupon from them for $25 a comforter cleaning. I assumed they would take the coupon... nope. I asked to speak to the manager and got the "I am the manager". I calmly expressed how unhappy I was that I had been sent a coupon that was going to save me $45 dollars. The manager just kept saying "sorry you have to show the coupon at drop off and those are the rules". There was much back and forth and the "manger" showed me the screen of the computer apparently as some sort of proof of the impossibility of my request and then explained to me that when they go to the grocery store and they don't take a coupon that's just just how it is and they just accept it . Brought a pair of pants (good quality Levi's) to dry clean. When came to pick up, it was faded and white washed. Their respond was, it was our fault and that it was already like that when it was dropped off. That was a lie. Why would we bother to get it dry cleaned if it look like the way they said it was when I could have just machine washed it. This business has no accountability, unethical practices and no integrity. They don't want to admit their wrong doing. Instead they blame the customers for their own failures. What should have been an easy fix turned out to be the worse. It's ashamed that this happened after how many years of using them for their dry cleaning services. I am disappointed. We trusted these people and yet they back stabbed us, all because they made a mistake on their part and the worst part is they won't admit it. I must strongly worn other potential victims about this company. If they damage or ruin your property, they will not do the responsible thing of making it right with you. We took them some custom made drapes from our living room, it was a total of four drapes. These drapes were custom-made to fit our home and were very expensive. When we picked them up and took them home and rehung them. We were shocked to see that they were roughly 9 inches to 12 inches shorter in length than when we had them made. We immediately called them, and they said with confidence that they would take care of it and make it right. They asked us to bring them back, which we did. They said that they could do something to them that would make them expand back to their original length, we were skeptical, but we figured they were the professionals and we owed it to them to try to let them fix the problem that they created. We were notified that they were ready (2nd time) and we went to pick them up again. After rehanging one of them, we realized that they were still about 6 inches to 9 inches short from touching the floor, which originally they would touch the floor and kind of drape over the flooring a little bit. We immersed reached out to them again to let them know that whatever they did, did not work and that is when the bad service began. We took a video in which we showed the problem and narrated the problem, this video was sent to their employee Angie. Well.. Angie decided to tell us that they did not shrink the drapes and that they must've been that way originally. I explained to her that they were custom-made drapes, so why would we have a custom-made drape that failed to reach the floor by about 9 to 12 inches. She didn't really have an answer to that question however, she did stick to her guns and say that they did not and we're not responsible for the shrinking of these drapes. This is after we were told that they would take care of it and they would make it right. During this phone conversation with her that she was declining responsibility, she mentioned to me that the first time they weren't cleaned correctly and that they had brought someone else to their shop to do the job correctly. The only thing I can make from that comment is that when they were cleaned the first time by the person that didn't know how to clean them that is when the shrinking took place. Anyways, we have pictures of the drapes touching the floor and we have pictures of how much they shrunk (6-9" inches) after they were cleaned. So we shouldn't have a problem in court, proving to a judge that they shrunk them. We were given the name of the owner, which is Sassan and I was told that he would talk to us so that hopefully we could come up with some sort of a solution to this problem. It has been several weeks now and he refuses to return our phone calls or the email that I sent from his company website. Unfortunately he left us no other alternative than to share our horrible experience with the public so hopefully the public can prevent this from happening to them and on top of that we will have to take him to small claims court because those drapes were very expensive and will be very expensive to replace. I would strongly recommend you stay away from this business as the owner Sassan does not understand what professionalism and ethics are. I live around the area and I usually procrastinate and wait till the day that all other cleaners are closed.... SUNDAY! But ARYA Cleaners is there to save the day! Never disappointed as straight to the point. The only thing I regret I is not leaving a review sooner. The parking is good since it's shared with other businesses. But the even better news is that it has its own quick 15 minute parking for customers who just want to drop off or pick up. The business is easy to find in the shopping center and close to the inside corner. Once you walk in you see the vast amount of cloths hanging everywhere, waiting to be picked up. It looks like a roller coaster of cloths! The employees who work there are always friendly and give you a set date. If you need a spine er date, no problem! New to the Eastlake area, dry cleaning is one of the regular services I needed to set a relationship with. Having brought my clothes to the dry cleaners for over 40 years, this is the first that has ever dictated to me how my clothes are to be cleaned. Already expensive at almost $5 per shirt to be laundered, to dry clean is double that amount. Usually, the store clerk will ask you upfront if certain shirt(s) could be dry cleaned because that is what they recommend. This place doesn't ask - they just do what they want. And so even though you may request to have your shirts laundered - even those that you've had for years and know can be washed in the machine, these clowns make the decision on their own so your bill will be more than expected. I came here to get some military uniforms altered real simple 5 patches sewn on and Velcro to be taken off. They quoted me to be done in about 12 days which is a long time for a few name tapes and ranks to be sewn on a top and hat but whatever. I waited the time and came to pick up and the rank was sewn on wrong they said they could fix next day. Went back next day wrong again(they didn't do anything). Told me it's be ready after weekend and finally flipped over the rank to correct side. Customer service was great but the actual alteration service which I came for was horrible. I also should of asked the price before hand because WHY IS 5 TOTAL SEWN ON PATCHES AND VELCRO REMOVAL OVER $80 RIDICULOUS. I should of looked at reviews prior to coming here. I now go to Miramar at a place called Jazzi cleaners took them less than a week and less than half the price for higher quality work. read more

I had a favorite Yellowstone Park T- shirt with an unraveling hem on one sleeve. I took it in to Arya Cleaners to have this fixed. I was quoted $12.95 for this tiny repair. Because the shirt was a favorite I gave it to them. When I picked it up this morning I was told the charge would be $26.00. Adding insult to injury, the cashier denied that I could ever been quoted a lesser amount. I paid the bill and said I would never do business with them again. I just got home and took the shirt out of the package, and they never did the repair. I telephoned the number on the receipt, asked to speak to a manager, who predictably was not available. I left my number, stated that I wanted the credit card charge reversed, and was assured someone would call me back. Unless they call back and instantly agree to cancel the charge--and I am not holding my breath--I will file a dispute with the issuer of the credit card. read more

It also advertises alterations, with a seamstress working 9 am to 2 pm. I'm not sure if they do - on three consecutive days I stop in around 12:30 to have pants hemmed. Horrible services in both Dry Cleaning and Alterations!! I would give a negative stars if I could. DO NOT waste your time and money at this place! This is the 2nd time I have my husband uniform done here and both times very disappointed! 1time getting service her was back in August when he needed his uniforms(NavyDress Whites)to be dry clean and pressed. The crease lines were off centered and uneven on both blouse and pants. Today is my 2nd time picking up my husband Type 3 uniforms to get patches sewn on which I dropped off last week Tuesday. Charged me $12 to get 2 patches sewn on and it looks like crap. It's uneven and even have an area that they total missed. Horrible job, and I will not be returning as a customer at this place again. I called on the weekend, to see if I could get my jeans altered, since the length was too long. I was told that the person who does the alterations is not working, but will return on Monday. So, I usually work from 8am-5pm, and I left work a little early, cause I know that Arya Cleaners closes at 6pm on the weekdays. I literally arrived at 5:30pm and was told that the alterations person had left already. Seriously, they should stay till 6pm, otherwise how can people get their clothes altered. It's not like we can come anytime, people actually have to work. At least have a person available on the weekends to do alterations. I'm very disappointed with the level of service here. I didn't want to give this establishment even one star, it should be zero stars. This in response to a reply that I received from Arya Cleaners. I had called on my cell phone, and asked if the alterations person was still there, and the person I spoke said that she would be leaving soon. I told her that I am literally 5 minutes away. So, she said that she would wait 5 minutes. And 5 minutes later, I was there, but she was gone. Is that how you treat your customers? Regretfully, I don't think I will do business with your company, nor can I recommend it to my co-workers, who work in the law enforcement community. Yes, they do have infrequent issues. I've used the kiosk for 4 years now and have had 4 issues. All were resolved professionally. There is a phone right there that someone picks up and helps you if there is an issue. Sassin, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Prices are high, get over it. Don't go here. I have now had 4 vintage items ruined by them. I should have learned my lesson when they ruined the first dress. It was a 1950s Fred Pearlberg Originals dress that I paid $400 for and $25 for them to stain treat and ruin, like had to go to the trash ruined. This time they managed to mess up 3-1950s skirts that I asked for them to blind hem. I specifically asked for them to leave the excess as they are for little girls and needed to be able to let back down. This occasion at half price cost me $54! I wanted to give this business a try because we live so close, I just had a baby so I needed the convenience of getting their fluff and fold service. Unfortunately this place has ruined several of my nice pieces, the clothes would come back smelling like mildew, they would come back folder half fast inside out, and the manager would just try to argue that it wasn't them, there is many other cleaners out there that take their job serious and put their customers first this one just worries about arguing towards the customer.
