The only thing I wish they had was a place to dine in, but I can't really expect too much considering it's a grocery store and not a restaurant, so other than that I have no complaints. This used to be a polite store but increasingly the clerks have gotten rude. I have shopped here for years and they know me. I was there this evening and bought some items and I was checking to see if the prices were right and the Saturday manager, a younger man, told me to hurry up and pay and not look at the prices, that I would get a receipt! We LOVE asaderos. I love the meat counter, the grocery and treat options and we especially love the restaurant counter. We order a meal from here about once a month and the food is always amazing. We use asaderos to cater probably 75% of the gatherings we host. I had a very horrible experience here at this Mexican supermarket first off. Let me explain something the workers there are extremely rude you asking me them a simple question like do you carry MASA for tamales and they answer you very sarcastically like of course we do or your ordering meat from the meat department and they're rushing you they don't give you the right information and what kind of selection to meat you want or what you're ordering on ,another thing they overcharge me and I came back and brought them my receipts to show them that they had overcharged me and they were looking at me like I was the one with the problem when I'm the one being overcharged hello this is one of the worst markets in town and again they don't have a great selection. Next time I'm gonna take the drive to San Bernardino to go to El or a real supermarket like Cardenas. Not to mention their prices are over-the-top, overly priced. I've only visited one time but when I went me and my friend went with the intent to gather ingredients to make tortillas. We come to find ourselves ordering two massive wet burritos with chicken in them my friend got one with red sauce but just chicken no cheese or all the extra additives. I also got that but I got everything in my burrito when I tell you that burrito was smacking I was literally trying not to go back to market the next day like stopping my self from buying another it was so good. read more

Since I am in this store at least once a week I figured it would be nice to share my experience. The staff is so nice! I always find what I need. In the meat department I love the prepped fajitas to cook at home! The carne asada is great too, to cook on the grill! (I have family that ask me to bring the meat from Asaderos when we are going to visit) I also love the restaurant! I recommend the fiesta pack for a ready to serve dinner! So delicious and easy. Ugh! I just ordered the worst Chili Verde. Susposed to be slow cooked and tender with a zesty flavor. Instead super super SALTY leather. I could not work past the Salt! and leather for meat. Just a horrible dish, with soggy salty rice, and once you drain the salt water from the Purvian bean there almost edible canned beans. After reading the reviews of the little Mexican Kitchen at this Supermaket, I decided to try it myself. Please note that this review is based on the Kitchen and not the Super Market, itself, and is only based on a single order. I ordered their Carne Asada Burrito. I've eaten Carne Asada Burritos from many, many places in Southern California, some very good, some average, and some not so average. I had heard that the Burrito I would be eating from Asaderos would be one of the better ones. When the wrapped burrito was placed into my hands, I was really impressed. I was wrapped in foal, not paper like so many of the other places, and it was heavy, obviously bigger than those I usually get. I took it out to my car to devour, opened the foal, and took a bite. Hum, lots of beans and rice in the first bite, not very much "carne", and absolutely no guacamole. And the flavor was disappointing. I could perceive no or little spice like I usually find in such a burrito. I remember thinking that maybe this was because I was at the top of the burrito. I was wrong. It might have been my own fault that the burrito, itself, was not spiced with the usual Mexican flavors. When asked when I picked it up if I wanted red or green salsa, I said "no", because I have found that most places put enough of these into the burrito, itself, that extra is not needed. Unfortunately, it was needed in this case. I finished the whole burrito because I had not eaten for 8 hours and was very hungry. My impressions; the burrito had too many beans, too much rice, not enough "carne asada" (apparently it was actually carne asada, but it was ground into very small bits of meat - how disappointing) and no guacamole, no chilies, no mexican spices. It was bland ... I think my wife would have liked it. I do have something good to say about the kitchen, however. The fellow that took the order spoke excellent English, so for you Gringos that "no habla Espanol", you can order without fear that you will get what you actually ordered. I am reminded of a time when I was in Paris, France and ordered a Chocolate Crepe from a street vendor and got one filled with egg. No chocolate. Yes, I tried to order in French, but how do you mistake Chocolat for Oeuf, even with my very bad accent? Is there a Yelp for Paris street vendors? read more

Asadero's had a solid meat market and kitchen. Their family pack is a great deal, plenty of food for a family of 4 or 5. Their al pastor is bomb, it is spicy with pineapple, sooo good! We've tried the sopes, breakfast burritos, and potato tacos....all good! The meat they sale is just as good, well seasoned and reasonably priced. For being a small market, they have a decent beer selection, produce area, and options it you are making mexican dishes at home. I'd recommend calling in your order if your ordering from the kitchen, they get busy. read more

And I'm done. I've ordered art least 3 dozen tamales here for 5 years. Always way too close to Christmas, and I've always been able to pick them up Christmas eve or morning. With the sign out front telling people to order their Christmas tamales within, I tried to place my usual order. Only to be told in an incredibly condescending way that they have no more tamales for sale. So I repeat that I want to place an order, as I do each year, and pick them up in two days. Cashier clearly didn't want to take my order. So I went to Arteaga's, where I placed my order, was treated nicely, and told I could pick them up tomorrow. Asaderos is awesome. We have them "cater" nearly every family event of ours, and our friends life events too. The family deal is delicious, especially the chicken. I think the prices have gone up a little likely due to COVID costs which is a bummer, but we have never had any disappointing experiences here. We come and buy their red salsa to put on top of everything. It's delicious. Their pan dulce is a little pricier than other bakeries, but it's good as well! I get my laundry soap here too. This is the best place I've found for fast Mexican food in Yucaipa. I love their breakfast burritos and California burritos, the salsa is also very good and fresh. I usually call in my order so it's there waiting for me when I show up. I've also had them cater a large super bowl party and everything turned out very good for about 75 people. Courteous staff greets upon entering, every time. Meat counter staff are fast and friendly. I buy meat here for BBQ (great selection and quality) and will pick up occasional produce and tortillas. Produce is fresh and their pricing is good. The aisle products can be a bit more than another grocery, but that doesn't deter me from getting what I need to limit trips. It's clean and organized overall. I think I'll try the prepared food from their kitchen next since I enjoy the flavors of their meats. Little market with produce, meat, and other items you may need, drinks, etc....with a little to go restaurant inside it. We go for the meat it's really good. Everything that we've tried so far at the restaurant is good too. It's a little more pricey on a lot of things then stater bros but we like to go here when we just want to grab something quick and of course for the meat in the meat department. read more
