I checked this place out about a year ago, and I'm happy to see they remodeled, and are leaning into the bicycling community. The first visit here was not good. Skip ahead to present day, and I popped in to get some breakfast tacos. I ended up taking them to go, but the space is so nice. This is a cute place! The bike shop in the back is nice. Looks like you could get gear or a new bike, or just work on your bike there. Pretty cool! The breakfast tacos I got were just a'ight. Consistently good drinks and vibe! I've liked everything I've tried here so far. Drinks: - The maple tahini latte and grey garden latte are both delightful, albeit pricey ($8-10). I tried the grey garden latte iced with oat milk, which really brought out the earl grey, orange, and rosemary notes! - I would skip on the Vietnamese style coffee if you're looking for something authentic (it's more of a regular iced coffee with condensed milk, not brewed with a phin drip. Too watery for my taste.) - The chai latte was phenomenal and beautifully crafted! My only note is that it was bit grainy with the cinnamon I also recommend coming during happy hour for their $5 jumbo slices. I got the "wonderland" slice which came with broccolini and sundried tomatoes. Not only was it filling, it convinced me that roasted broccolini should become a staple pizza topping!!! For those looking for a space to work/study, keep in mind that they turn their music up and dim the lights toward the end of the night. Outlets are sparse so come with your devices charged. Moved out here this past summer, but haven't been out. One of my friends recommend me to study here from a TikTok, so I decided to try it out. I ordered the Brain Lube Latte. It was so good!! We were attending a car show in Deep Ellum when someone suggested The Meteor for food and cocktails. Where have you been all my life! I'm not sure where to start- the art deco design, the Design District, the friendly, helpful employees (Vanessa and Amelia), the BlackBerry Bourbon Mash, or the Meteor Burger made with Wagyu beef. But wait- coffee drinks in the morning and natural wines in the afternoon. And not finished - it's a bike shop . My head is spinning!! I'm an art deco chick and love the lounge, the booths, the round bar, and the bad ass doors. I could live here! Did you know it does connect to a high rise apartment ? Fantastic lattes and breakfast! Highly recommend! My friends and I stopped by The Meteor for breakfast on a Monday and there was no wait for a table. The interior is super trendy -- feels like you're in Austin! Service was quick and efficient! I got the Apple Cider Latte, which absolutely wowed me. I got to know this spot because of DallasSites 101's Coffee Passport. I tried their vanilla latte with fronk nut milk and my boyfriend ordered their brain lube latte. We both enjoyed our drinks! I went back for the second time today (a week later) and I got the cereal milk latte and it's just as solid! The ambiance of the restaurant is super cute with this retro old diner vibe. This place is amazing. I have been wanting to come here after not being able to try the Austin location. The vibe is very cozy and vintage. I came in with a friend for breakfast. I ordered the Big Tex and a Caramel Latte(hot). The Big Tex breakfast sandwich was amazingly tasty, and it may be the best breakfast sandwich I have had. Their Caramel Latte was delicious, so much so that when it was all gone I decided to order it iced as well. Their Caramel Latte Iced was also amazing, and I can't even tell you which one I liked better. Their Pablo Smoky Rojo is their signature salsa and it was so flavorful and delicious, I purchased one to take home, because knew my husband would love it. Service was wonderful! I've come to The Meteor a few times to grab breakfast and study. This is such a fun and vibe-y spot with comfortable booths. Reminds me of a retro diner. It's a great quiet spot to study, and it doesn't get super busy on a weekday. But it can get very busy on a Saturday morning (understandably). I waited probably 15 minutes on my iced chai when I went on a Saturday at 10:30 AM. The morning rush did calm down at around 11:30 AM though. I will say that the menu is very overpriced. A small mediocre breakfast taco was $6. You are most definitely paying for the ambiance when you come here. But I think it's worth it to experience going to this place at least once. It's a great spot to catch up with friends or grab food with family. Seats are first come first serve. There's a calm and warm ambiance-d room/lounge next door with couches and a fireplace. It can get used for private events, but on a weekday it's usually been available to use. There's also a large outdoor seating area that's perfect to use when there's nice weather. There is a parking garage close by, and they validate parking! It did get full when I went on Saturday morning though. Overall, I have greatly enjoyed my experiences with The Meteor and would recommend that anyone try it at least once! read more

Came here for happy hour on a Thursday. The $5 jumbo slice is a great deal! I got the pepperoni and the amarillo. The amarillo was delicious and such a unique pizza. The mozzarella left a string of cheese as I pulled my slice away, and the sourdough crust was hearty, held the toppings in place, and was the perfect vessel for the toppings to reach my mouth. The Meteor Burger was good, but not great. The patty was juicy, and the veggies were fresh - the pickles were the star. But the lackluster bun and price ($17) left much to be desired. If you've seen Umbrella Academy, you'll feel like you just stepped into the show. I had the cereal milk latte and it was yummy. If you like your lattes less sweet like me, you'll be a fan. A little bitter a little bready. My fiancé got the Maple Spice Latte and it was sweet and perfect for a crisp morning like we're finally getting here in Texas . We tried the buttered biscuit, the Big Mig sandwich, and the Willys Wager toast. We lovvvved the sandwich and toast. The buttered biscuit was sadly a bit dry. I visited The Meteor on 03/05/26 around noon. There was a young lady working the counter around that time, unfortunately I did not catch her name. She was amazing. I've been at the hospital taking care of my mother for more than a day, left on a shift trade with my sister. Whenever I left i decided to visit meteor since it was close by and I am never near one. It's been a long few days, so visiting sounded like a good treat, and a getaway. I had my mind set on a few things, and while ordering I became sensitive and emotional. Could be my lack of sleep or just emotional stress. I am never a person to cry in front of strangers, but I did at that moment. The young lady showed so much love, compassion, and kindness. She made me feel seen and not alone, not every person is like that and I appreciate her so much. Meteor, because of her caring nature you will have forever a client in me. They also have a rewards program where you get $5 off after $50 spent which I love. It's adjacent to the virgin hotel and parking is behind the building, off of hi-line. Parking is in a parking garage and there's open parking on the first floor that's free after validation. Came here on a Friday night when my bf and I were looking for a late night cafe to vibe in Super chill retro vibes, perfect place for conversations and drinks. They had the fireplace on and the whole place was peaceful. Friendly staff! we had a great conversation with them. Not wfh friendly as outlets are limited, staff said they want to encourage conversations and interaction and didn't want the cafe to be a Starbucks/wfh place Matcha latte was creamy and smooth and I enjoyed that more than my cereal milk latte-- they did say their espresso machine was acting up so my espresso was under pulled and came out really bright, almost sour. Experienced the most awkward staff interactions I have ever had in my life here. If you've seen those videos talking about "the Gen Z stare." And you're curious about what it is, come try and order some coffee here and you'll see the Gen Z stare first hand. You'll ask the staff a simple question and they'll stare directly at you for several seconds before practically whispering a response that doesn't even make sense... it was so bizarre. Coffee took forever to make and they never called my name out, just sat it down, when I asked if this was the my coffee they just stared at me like I was asking them a physics question... also the coffee tasted bad, they only have whole milk, no fat free or 2% milk, they were out of several other ingredients too. Just an all around difficult and awkward experience. The only redeeming quality is the interior which looked nice, however the place was a mess, crumbs on every surface, I didn't see staff clean anything the entire time I was here. Bathrooms are small confined and the one I went into there was literally poop on the seat. Service - order at the counter bar and it's fine. Food - had the burger and chicken sandwich. I'd like to try something different because it was immediately regrettable. The burger is messy and pure salty trash. It approximated a McDonald's Big Mac if McDonalds created the messiest and overly salty and poorest ingredients they could find with the best buttery bread that had been toasted on a grill. And again salt on top of salt. The sandwich was edible. Not as salty but a nice thick chicken covered in spice and looked good but then incredibly dry. If that was what was aimed for then spot on. Fries - well fried, overly seasoned and then again salty. Not in the level of the burger but edible at the least. Drinks - had a cardamom orange latte and a matcha latte. The cardamom latte was exceptionally good, the matcha latte was meh basically matcha add milk blend, add ice.
