This place is great at accommodating large groups of people! We always come here with a group of 20+. Every time we've been accommodated with no issues. The food is very average. We've never had complaints, but no knock-out dishes either. Very consistent! We always come for lunch and take advantage of their lunch specials. The food is fusion -- there is Japanese, Thai, Malaysian. I usually get the steak hibachi lunch special -- I can never finish it all! Complimentary tea to go with the meal is a plus. The staff is also nice about letting you bring in a cake for special events. I also love that there is a free bottle of sake when you check-in on Yelp! Overall, solid spot if you're looking to host a bunch of people for lunch in the area. read more

It's a little pricier than my go-to sushi spots but you're paying for good quality fish. The oysters are also super fresh and the quality of food here doesn't deter you from ordering it. The staff is super nice and attentive and sometimes when the owner is around he will converse with you and make sure you're having a great experience at the restaurant. read more

Asea is such a great place for awesome Asian food! I came here twice so far. The first time was with friends and I had their lunch special of three rolls for $10.95. It came with miso soup and it filled me up. The second time I came with my family and we shared everything family style. We ordered special sushi rolls - Lion King, Halloween, and Asea Roll. Out of the three my favorite was the Halloween roll because it didn't have anything weird such as cream cheese and coconut flakes in the others. Not to say they were bad, but definitely a bit unusual. Their pineapple fried rice was so delicious. It's hard to believe that fried rice could taste this good! I enjoyed their curry laksa as well. This place by far is one of the best in Brooklyn for sushi. My fiancé and I stop in at lest once or twice a week for lunch/dinner. The staff is very friendly and quick on there feet. I came here with my friend and her family after running some errands nearby. As I usually don't like the texture of raw fish, I wasn't expecting more than their standard cooked sushi rolls. For a table of 4, we ordered two sets of the 3 maki lunch rolls, and a special roll, Pink Lady. The soup and salad that came with the lunch set tasted pretty standard. Once again, I'm not the type that likes raw fish, but I actually really enjoyed the Pink Lady roll. I couldn't really feel the texture of salmon in it, but it was very fresh and tasty. For the 6 maki rolls, we got shrimp tempura, eel avocado, spicy yellowtail, sweet potato, salmon roll, and spicy salmon roll. I actually ordered the yellowtail because it's one of the more tolerable raw fishes that I've had. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the spicy yellowtail roll here. It had me craving for yellowtail ever since I've had it. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the salmon roll. My friend told me the salmon tasted fishy so I tried one, and it was indeed fishy. I don't think it was fresh, which is disappointing considering how popular salmon is within sushi. Overall, the sushi rolls were good besides the salmon roll. I especially enjoyed the spicy yellowtail roll and Pink Lady roll. The rest are as good as other $$ sushi restaurants and the ambiance was nice and comfortable. I would want to come back in the future if I'm ever in the area. read more

Walked in off the street the first night for seaweed salad and specialty rolls and we were delighted with food, service and decor. Talked it up enough that we ordered take away the next night. Our food selection was different, but quality was only fair to slightly less than fair for two main dishes. Noodle dishes were fair to good. Mushy tuna and salmon in the rolls, bland seafood fried rice. Squid and Shrimp were sparse but okay. Sparse on the scallions. Not such a great value after the brown rice up-charge. Disappointed to find no sauces, wasabi or ginger included in our take out package. Next time I will dine in, or more specifically verify that I am taking home everything I need to enjoy the meal. One or two visits is not enough to get a true picture. So many other reviews are 4-5 star our recent takeout experience may be an anomaly. read more

So we did try it especially as they have a lunch special everyday from 11am to 3pm which offers a starter of their house soup with all the fixings - spare rib, fresh chicken, mushrooms, a abalone as well. While not like most other restaurants which their house soup is left over bones and odds/ends with a heap loud of msg. Then 3 main dishes of your choice from their lunch special menu which has over 20 dishes for you. Plus a bowl of their white rice for each person. Even a simple bowl of white rice was amazing - it's a mix of different rices which presents very nicely - each grain stays individual, long, fluffy, and great texture. The main dishes do not disappoint- fresh, flavorful, well balanced, and with wok hay. We've now eaten there a handful of times for lunch and even with other friends/family - everyone agrees the food and preparation is excellent. Everyone says they would come back. Then if you take into account the lunch special deal for $30 this is an amazing meal that feeds your taste buds and stomach yet your wallet praises you. I have read some reviews giving 1 star with comments about long wait for dim sum, dim sum being average at best, and bad manager/servers etc. I have these observations to share - Dak Sing Palace has a small dim sum menu maybe a dozen or less items and they are not a dim sum restaurant so they likely don't produce dim sum fresh daily. Likely their dim sum is frozen and reheated. Thus the wait time and average dim sum. Bad manager/servers - this is not uncommon at Chinese restaurants it is almost expected to have to deal with this to some extent. My own experiences here every server does do their job maybe some without a smile but we have had excellent servers with a smile and small talk also. If you have any reservations about trying Dak Sing Palace due to how the appearance may seem, or reviews on the service, or dim sum then I say Just Go! And try using their lunch special for $30! You won't be disappointed.

We were told to order fast because it was last call good thing we knew what we wanted so no problem we ordered our delicious food but right after we received our main courses around 2 minutes later the waiter gave us our bill did not even ask he just put the check on the table .
