I have been coming here for years. There are not a lot of sushi spots nearby so I am really happy this restaurant has kept its standards consistent, otherwise, it would be hard to find another great spot like this one. They always have a hostess and their service is always quick. Their sushi bar is visible from the dining room. Their bathrooms are always fresh and clean. I always go with my usual which are roti canai, miso soup and eel avocado roll. The roti canai is my favorite thing on their menu. Their menu is so huge that I sometimes like to grab something new. So far, every dish that I've tried has been excellent.

Ordered a number of things and none of them disappointed. The 9 item box every item was very tasty and the one I enjoyed every piece. I'd order that over most omakase menus. They take their time with the box and even noticed it was taking a little longer so offered some crab salad to say sorry for the wait. Bonus points to the establishment for that. Maki rolls weren't amazing but maki rolls still very decent. Sashimi felt fresh and not a bad value. Wagyu uni crisp was good as well. Staff very attentive and saw my gf take a picture and had a staff member had a hand held light since it was a bit dim. Ambiance was comfortable and clean. Overall don't have a real bad thing to say about the establishment and would recommend it.

A great lunch time meal ! Nice clean atmosphere. Salmon roll was delicious. The spicy tuna wasn't all the spicy at all. A lot of Asian restaurants in the blocks by it to choose from.

After having a positive delivery experience, my fam and I tried sitting in this time for dinner one day. We were seated by ceiling lights that kept dimming, but nothing too distracting. The menu was extensive, but hard to know what the dishes comprise of without pictures of each. Our Scorpion King Roll ($16) came first. They had a bunch of intriguingly named special rolls, but something about this must have grabbed my brother's attention. The addition of asparagus was unique, although I enjoyed the creamy crab strips up top the most. Unfortunately, or maybe not so unfortunately, the waiter mistakenly ordered for us the Asea Sashimi Deluxe ($43) instead of the Asea Party Platter ($115) that we wanted. So we were really thinking we got scammed for some pieces of fancily plated fish up until we got the bill. The dish really was beautiful though, with my mom noting the chef's intricacy in his plating behind the counter. There were 4 of each fish, which were each equally unique tasting! But sashimi is never filling, so we added on a Salmon Lover ($17) and Sushi Platter ($19). I highly recommend getting these, since they seem well priced for the offer of sushi/sashimi/rolls. The pieces are smaller and thinner though. The servers were really attentive, friendly, and kind to us throughout our whole dinner. They do automatically charge us a 18% tip, and I'm not sure if it's because we were 4 people or not. Come here if you're searching for good dinner in 8th Ave!

Amazing !! So delicious and fresh ! The pieces of sushi are big and full of flavor . We tried two specialty rolls the Asea roll and the coconut roll . Both rolls didn't disappoint . The oyster shots .. burst of flavor ., yum .. please stop by and try !

The food was good as it was the last time I had it. I tried the Malaysian coffee for the first time and it was flavorful and not too sweet. The service was good and the food was good as well. I was not a huge fan of the squid, but it had good texture. The pizza was also good, it had avocado and some type of fish/eel. The hibachi lunch box was flavorful, but the egg rolls were not that good. The lychee drink was mid, I would recommend the Malaysian coffee over it. The lunch deals were nice, three rolls were 13 dollars. Overall for all the food it came out to be around 200 dollars which was very fair.

A great sushi spot in sunset park, had a craving for sushi and my family and I have always seen this restaurant in the neighborhood but have never actually been to it in the past. There aren't many sushi places in Sunset park so this was definitely soemthing we needed to try and and it was pretty good. They have more than sushi, they also have fried rice, soup and bentos but we wanted the sushi and they had so many options from combos, rolls, hand rolls, and sashimi. There was a large group inside when we got there and we took it as a good sign and ordered our food. It didn't take long for everything to come out. Everything tasted great, I think the salmon tasted really great and we got nice thick cuts for everything too. If you see the California roll they gave nice big pieces and filled it in well. And the server we had was very nice, everyone working there was nice and welcoming. Overall I think this is gonna be my main spot for sushi in this area.

Every thing was great, from the service to the food. Every time we come back we enjoy every bite.

In general, the fish is fresh and the food comes out fast too. That being said, I tried their uni and sweet shrimp the other day and it tasted pretty bad. I can tell the quality is not good. I would go for any of their special rolls and typical sushi/sashimi like tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc. Their mackerel was pretty good as well though. I've eaten in person only once as I generally grab take out, so I cannot really comment on the service.

We ordered for take out the avocado roll rice outside, shrimp tempura roll, spicy shrimp cucumber roll chicken tempura roll. Got chicken wings too, very fried crispy and flavorful. I liked how they separated the ginger and wasabi in lil containers instead of in the sushi tray. It was ok, 4/5 for the avocado roll because it had sesame seeds outside which i liked but the avocado could've been bigger in each roll. Shrimp tempura was a 3/5 because there was a lot of batter and not a lot of shrimp taste or meat. Chicken roll was 3/5 too couldn't taste much of the chicken mostly batter. spicy shrimp cucumber roll 3/5, very thin shrimp portion and a whole lotta cucumber sticks, however the cucumbers was very refreshing and crunchy so not complaining.

Visiting Sunset Park, my girlfriend and I stopped into Asea for a bite to eat. We received a table right by the sushi bar and were given menus and glasses of water. I asked to use the Yelp check-in offer for a free bottle of hot sake then began looking over the food options. The menu is expansive indeed, covering a great deal of culinary ground across the pan-Asian spectrum. My eye gravitated toward the lunch specials: 3 rolls and a miso soup for $11 sounded quite attractive. My girlfriend went for a chicken katsu lunch box, a steal at only $9.75(ish). The sushi rolls arrived first, and I could see why they were so cheap; could have used more fish in them. Still, with some soy sauce and wasabi, they turned into a formidable meal. The salmon avocado roll was probably the best of the three. The chicken katsu was also very tasty, and a generous serving indeed. The crunchy panko breading and the tender chicken combined for the ultimate texture experience. Dribble on some sauce and chase the bites with rice. Yum. All told, I found myself impressed and appreciative of the restaurant, the food, and the staff. There's so much on the menu I want to try, I'll inevitably be back soon. If you need another reason to come to Sunset Park, this is it.

I like this place. The fried rice and noodles are great. I haven't had the problem with delivery like others report so that doesn't bother me. My only complaint is the price of some of the items. Like I said, I love the fried rice and fried noodles, but the little serving you get is not worth $5. The Chicken katsu price is acceptable because you get two chicken katsu with the order. But then the roti canai, which is good, is not worth $5 when you only get one piece of bread. Basically, I spend the few extra dollars and order from here because I trust that they are using better ingredients then the Chinese shop that will sell a full meal for $6. The food taste is 4 stars, but the prices are 3 stars. read more

For 8th avenue, even though it's further down, this is the better sushi spot compared to many. Majority of the sushi spots on 8th avenue or near here are AYCE (all you can eat) and you can barely find a place that isn't AYCE around here anymore. Been here a couple of times and service and food was good; not spectacular but good for the price! This is an Asian Fusion type of place, so you get to choose from Malaysian, Japanese, Thai, etc. The menu can be quite overwhelming since there's just so much to choose from. Because it's an Asian fusion restaurant, they don't specialize in specific food, so you can't expect top notch quality of their food, but hey it's quite decent. Usually when I come here, I usually order sushi because that's what I'm usually craving for. If I wanted Malaysian I would go to Nyonya. If I wanted Thai food, I would go to MyThai in bay ridge. I love my raw salmon, so I always get the same sashimi starters which is M&M. My favorite and will always be one of my favorite. It has a little too much spicy mayo on the bottom but still very fresh. Usually their salmon sashimi is fresh and I am satisfied majority of the time towards the end of my meal. Definitely will come back if I don't want to travel too far from home for some decent sushi that's not AYCE! read more

my first here with a friend highly recommend. We have only 2 ppl so couldn't try many dishes. House special serve in large side so we only ordered one. Taste are good. I liked the design of the restaurant and the the presentation. The service wasn't so good. Price wise, it's okay. I had Philadelphia roll and one of the roll had a piece of bone. Very unprofessional to have bone in a sushi. I don't eat fish because of bones. That's why I like sushi. I didn't realize it and the bone almost poked inside my mouth. read more

One of my go-tos when I'm feeling very lazy and want speedy/tasty/reasonably priced delivery. The last time I ordered from these guys, I was given a 40-50 estimated wait time. Walked across the street to grab my laundry (assuming I had plenty of time to get back) and arrived back home to see my delivery guy standing outside of my building yelling "Amanda!!" towards my (partially open) first floor window. That's how fast they are. I especially love the Vegetable Yaki Udon but have been happy with the shumai, pad thai and all sorts of sushi rolls, too. Just a very reliable, solid option. read more

Absolutely delicious. I love it here. I eat here wayyy too often. The sushi is always fresh and crisp. The Maki lunch deal is pretty decent also- three rolls and a soup or salad for 13$. I love the spicy salmon roll, the summer roll, the oshinko, the California... I could keep going. Highly recommend! read more

Yaaaay for another gem in this neighborhood. Now I know where to go when I'm too lazy to venture out to Manhattan and want some sushi, Thai, or Viet food. That's right - this place has it all! My 3 friends and I ordered three sushi rolls, chicken yakisoba, lemongrass chicken, and squid for a family style meal. We were really full (surprisingly) and enjoyed everything. I have to say that the sushi was the best, but the squid and lemongrass chicken were tied for second. Didn't really get a banging taste from the yakisoba, but I think nothing beats Yaya's yakisoba haha :) No surprises here. Great service. Great price. Come get your fill on a rainy Saturday night! read more

Situated in a rather quiet neighborhood, but when my friend brought me here for the first time, it quickly became the only place I eat sushi! We ordered the Dancing Lobster Roll and it was amazing!!! That alone is filling enough. We came during lunch and got a great deal. 3 sushi rolls for ~$12. I ordered Spicy Kani Roll, Spicy Salmon, and Spicy shrimp cucumber roll. The salmon was a little fishy but the rest was great. Especially the Spicy Kani Roll. We also tried the Thai iced tea which I wouldn't recommend. Service can improve. Overall, a great restaurant and good experience. Definitely recommend. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with a friend and the place was fairly empty. We decided to order a bunch of the special sushi rolls. The rolls take a while to make because they seem to have only one person preparing it. The food did taste fresh though and the prices were fairly standard. Also if you check in they give you a free bottle of hot sake. read more

Duchess status! I found this place about two month ago and have been coming here about once a week or more if I'm on a sushi kick. Glad it's good because there are no other japanese spots in the area to satisfy the craving. It's located in a very quiet area, although just a block over from the wonderful Ba Xuyen! I've never actually sat down since the walk here and back takes up about half my lunch break but I've never had any issues with placing orders to go or for delivery. The young lady who's put in my order a half dozen times so far has been polite and pleasant. I've gotten the 3 roll special each time which comes with soup or salad and includes all the standard hand rolls to choose from. After tax, it is only a whopping $10.90. Their spicy tuna, spicy salmon and eel avocado are delicious and fresh. Big rolls. No issues. They also offer box sets and hibachi for lunch specials if you're not in it for sushi. The regular menu is extensive with your typical Asian fusion offerings -- noodles, wok specials, curries, yakitori, etc. Unfortunately, I probably won't get to try any since the lunch special is too good to pass. Delivery minimum is $10. They don't take Amex! read more

I live in walking distance of this joint so when I saw a sushi place in Sunset Park with such gold ratings I knew I had to jump on it! Inside it's warm and inviting which set the evening off on the right foot. My boyfriend and I came in for dinner and were seated right away. We were the only patrons for a few minutes but that changed as the dinner crowd began to roll in. The service was super friendly and attentive. The free sake with the Yelp check-in is always a nice touch. I started off with the Kani salad which was good but I've had better. We both ordered a few rolls. All the rolls were awesome! On the particular night we went in the specialty rolls were half off. I don't remember why exactly but we didn't question it. Everything was fresh and delicious. So I've ordered here enough at this point to leave this review . First off over a hour waiting for my food to arrive multiple times .( takeout ) two . The sushi doesn't stay together , just falls apart , as doesn't seem fresh to me at all . Three The crème brûlée sugar coating on top wasn't hard not the first time either . Fourthly . The miso soup seems very cheaply done . Not enough tofu the pieces are literally microscopic , scallions also non existent. For the dried kelp tiny pieces Aswell not cool lastly , Probably won't be ordering here again . Sucks cuz the place has potential . read more

It's in a quieter area of Boro Park surrounded by residences and commercial warehouses and auto shops. Yet I wanted to try it for months. So we did try it especially as they have a lunch special everyday from 11am to 3pm which offers a starter of their house soup with all the fixings - spare rib, fresh chicken, mushrooms, a abalone as well. While not like most other restaurants which their house soup is left over bones and odds/ends with a heap loud of msg. Then 3 main dishes of your choice from their lunch special menu which has over 20 dishes for you. Plus a bowl of their white rice for each person. Even a simple bowl of white rice was amazing - it's a mix of different rices which presents very nicely - each grain stays individual, long, fluffy, and great texture. The main dishes do not disappoint- fresh, flavorful, well balanced, and with wok hay. We've now eaten there a handful of times for lunch and even with other friends/family - everyone agrees the food and preparation is excellent. Everyone says they would come back. Then if you take into account the lunch special deal for $30 this is an amazing meal that feeds your taste buds and stomach yet your wallet praises you. I have read some reviews giving 1 star with comments about long wait for dim sum, dim sum being average at best, and bad manager/servers etc. I have these observations to share - Dak Sing Palace has a small dim sum menu maybe a dozen or less items and they are not a dim sum restaurant so they likely don't produce dim sum fresh daily. Likely their dim sum is frozen and reheated. Thus the wait time and average dim sum. Bad manager/servers - this is not uncommon at Chinese restaurants it is almost expected to have to deal with this to some extent. My own experiences here every server does do their job maybe some without a smile but we have had excellent servers with a smile and small talk also. If you have any reservations about trying Dak Sing Palace due to how the appearance may seem, or reviews on the service, or dim sum then I say Just Go! And try using their lunch special for $30! You won't be disappointed.

However, I believe this situation could have been handled with greater compassion and understanding, given that the group consisted of individuals with disabilities who rely on packed lunches due to financial limitations. As someone who has consistently supported your establishment, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and empathy shown. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will no longer be bringing my business or the individuals I support to your establishment. We were told to order fast because it was last call good thing we knew what we wanted so no problem we ordered our delicious food but right after we received our main courses around 2 minutes later the waiter gave us our bill did not even ask he just put the check on the table . Delicious Thai food and Malaysian cuisine. Will come back to try their sushi because I saw a lot of people eating sushi. Saturday night is pretty full house. Made a reservation better. read more
