    Tonkotsu Ramen
    Larissa B.

Cute spot located at the end of Cortelyou with a nice backyard and chill vibes. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We each got a ramen (shio, tonkotsu and spicy miso), the yellow tail jalapeño app, and the portions are good. The app isn't too remarkable, fish was fresh but portions are a little low for the price and I didn't care too much for the topping. They ramen is flavored well, although just a bit too salty. Each bowl comes with a few toppings that I appreciate I didn't have to add on as extra, such as and egg, bamboo shoots and woodear mushroom. Overall, it's a solid spot in the neighborhood for ramen, especially when the weathers nice and you can use that outdoor.

Great ambiance, nice looking back yard. But when it comes to the food it self, falls on its face , very bland I had the pork katsu, the pork wasn't season at all even with the sauce there was no flavor at all, very expensive for what you get. I also had stomach issues when I got home.

First time trying was really in the mood for ramen. I got the tan tan ramen which was spectacular! The broth is miso based and has a slight spice to it but it wasn't too spicy for me ( and I usually can't tolerate spicy broths). I chose that ramen because it came with ground pork, which I never tried in ramen before and it was the best choice! The noodles were cooked just right. The staff was super efficient and checked on us a lot. Completed our request for extra napkins and whatever we needed. It is a nice casual dining night out.

Great sushi spot. The fish was fresh and the rolls were creative. The spicy tuna roll was a hit. Service was friendly. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Updating my review to rave about the Garden's impressive af sushi too! Hands down the best quality ramen and sushi in the area and I don't think it's getting enough love that it deserves. I recently shared a Sushi Omakase set ($105) with my bf and every bite was so fresh and delicious. Even the tuna! Which can tend to be too fake and rubbery at most places - not here. Each piece was melt-in-your-mouth good. Very reasonable price point as well; we were so full by the end of our meal and we are fairly big eaters. Less than a month later we returned for a ramen brunch and this time, each of our ramens came with a complimentary app/side - what a deal! (perhaps a lunch special) We got a plate of the karaage and a plate of gyoza to share and they did not skimp. So worth it at $17 per person. We also added a couple orders of sushi for the perfect, well-rounded meal. Having visited 3x in 2 months, the Garden has become one of our go-tos.

I went here for dinner with a couple friends. The food and portion was great. I ordered the karage chicken, spicy miso ramen, and a yuzu margarita. The karage chicken had great flavor (add a squeeze of lemon that comes with it). The spicy miso ramen was very rich and dense with minced pork, scallion, bamboo shoots, bean sprout, mushroom, and egg. The yuzu margarita had a good balance of smokiness and spicyness. I highly recommend this place. The service was a bit slow today but most likely due to holiday season.

This place has a relaxing setting and good service. The food is exceptionally amazing. This has become one of my favorite places in the area to go eat now. If you're looking for a low key place for a night out with your partner or a place to take a date this is a good place to go.

I was super excited to try out this spot given all these high reviews but super disappointed with the tonkatsu ramen that was kind of bland. However, their karaage and pork gyoza was yummy.

I think we're addicted to this place! We have ordered from here and the food is consistently fresh! But then we went IN PERSON and it somehow was 50x better?? Of course the ambiance is adorable and the people are so kind but the food actually tastes so good in person!!! Highly recommend!

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

You press the red button when you need to order or service. They also have tables for groups, so it's great whether you're coming alone or with family and friends. I ordered the Honeycomb Platter, which came with a variety of appetizers like shrimp tempura, popcorn chicken, and tofu. I got the Yin Yang Ramen which was very good. I am picky with ramen because sometimes I feel like the broth doesn't have flavor but their ramen was tasty and flavorful. For dessert I tried the matcha pudding with red beans and fresh milk. It had a unique taste but I recommend this for matcha lover. It was a nice spot, good food, and great service.

First: got combo B which was the perfect amount for 2 people since it included an appetizer, 2 ramens, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Left very filled and happy. Would highly recommend their lemonade and Thai tea! The popcorn chicken is more batter than chicken, so it's good if you like more of a crunch. The tonkotsu and miso ramens were good, but not particularly notable. Kyuramen is a chain after all, so the food quality gives that same vibe as comforting when you're just craving some. Second: Got the yakitori platter, beef ramen (seasonal) and curry ramen and I'd personally pass on all of them. Their meats are over cooked which makes them tough. Both times the service was fine, I appreciate the call button so both don't have to wait for awkward timing issues. I do like the aesthetic of the place, especially with the privacy of the room shades/dividers. p.s. don't forget their slurp and win program! When you drink all the broth, there's a word on the bottom (or not) where you can get a free popcorn chicken/drink/etc for your next visit. I thought the chances would be pretty slim, but I got a drink voucher my second time!

Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.
