I've ordered several times now during lunch. Delivery is super quick. Cheaper than other sushi spots nearby. I rated the rolls below but just try them out yourself. My only gripes with this place are the way they slice the ginger and the rolls are not cold enough sometimes. Eel avocado: 5/5 my fav sushi roll, the flavor was spot on Eel avocado/cream cheese: 4/5 never heard of this combo before so I had to try it. It's good but cream cheese not really necessary lol Spicy shrimp: 4.5/5 very good, super tasty, could use a little more shrimp Philly: 4.5/5 another one of my favs, can't go wrong with this one really Spicy salmon: 3/5 not bad but not that good either, the fish didn't have the best flavor. Edible but not enjoyable to my palate Yellowtail jalapeño: 4/5 Ginza roll: 3.5/5 Sweet corn sushi: 3/5 this was interesting lol wild card just to make my order deliverable Crab Rangoon: small portion Miso soup: tasty, small portion

Petite cute snuggly shop with limited seating. The menu is simple but fits all your needs from a great lunch special deal to party platters. They also have different combos to choose one. One of our favorite is their combo 2 and salmon platter. We literally can finish their salmon platter between two people for $45. The sashimi salmon pieces are cut generously. They do charge tax and provide 5% cash discount.

Ordered delivery from this spot and we were really satisfied. The rolls were super fresh and yummy! They also have great lunch specials. Will definitely order from here again!

Got a bunch of their 3 roll lunch special for $9.75 (5% off if you order online but there is a $1 convenience fee so you would have to order a good amount to make it worth it) the rice texture is great but it does taste like plain rice (maybe it needs a bit more rice vinegar) but I'm not mad about it. my only complaint would be the fish to rice ratio for some of the rolls... especially that yellowtail roll. I notice the rolls are bit better when it is not just plain fish so order spicy ___ roll or something like salmon mango. Overall, I would say it is great for the price, just be careful with what kind of roll you order!

Typical Chinese owned sushi restaurant; nothing out of the ordinary. If you order ahead on their website you get a 5% discount. I liked the fact that my order was ready for pickup within the 30 mins that was quoted on their site but did not appreciate the blank stare that I received from an employee when I entered the store. A simple "hello" or "welcome" would've sufficed. Loved the cantopop playing though! In terms of the food, I got the Party Tray D and all the rolls tasted decent. Pretty worth it for the price too, especially if you're thinking about ordering it for a party since it's very aesthetically pleasing. Not sure I'll be back since it's a bit further away than other sushi restaurants on 86th street.

I came here for the party trays. Reasonable price for a tray $40. I ordered 10 rolls for the tray and they tasted good. It's not fancy. Just basic rolls. I do think ninja does a better job but j san isn't bad. The mayonnaise on top of one of rolls tasted odd. The rest were fine. Place is small and if you pay online you get 5 percent off.

I was in the area and saw they opened a new sushi restaurant and stopped by for a quick lunch. The restaurant is really small and they have 2 tables and seating by the window. I ordered the 2 rolls lunch special with soup which came out to $7.50 after tax and with the 5% discount if paid by cash. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and spicy crabmeat roll. Both rolls were decent but the miso soup lacked a lot of flavor. I dined in at the restaurant and everything was very sticky. The menus by the register were sticky and the tables were sticky too. There was only one other customer while I was there so they weren't even busy to keep the store clean. The prices are very decent though and will probably opt for take out next time.

Ordered the following for take out and waited for around 20 minutes. FYI - if you pay in cash there is a 5% discount. - Combo 8: Dragon Roll, Eel Avocado Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, California Roll $18.95 - Spicy Salmon Roll $3.75 - Golden Dragon Roll $9.95 - Kani Salad $5.75 Food was good and would order from this place again.

New cute sushi place - brightly lit, adorable decor. Very small place with only three tables so better for takeout or a quick casual meal. Service was polite, readily apologizing for a minor pricing discrepancy between their cash register and the listed menu. Tried the Cooked Bowl (rice topped with kani, shrimp tempura, eel, egg, seaweed salad, cucumber, corn) - this was okay, but probably would not order again. The Salmon Lover was good with fresh salmon pieces. Also tried their combo 4: dragon roll, California roll, eel cucumber, shrimp tempura. They do not offer soup or salad with their orders. Everything was decent, rice could be better, but the prices are quite reasonable especially during their soft opening promotion with 10% off.

4.5/5 Decided to order a party tray during their soft opening and what a great deal! $35.95 for 10 regular rolls. Some of the rolls from the Party Tray A were: Philadelphia roll, Florida Roll (tuna, avocado, cucumber), California roll, Alaska roll, shrimp tempura roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy kani roll, shrimp cucumber roll and eel cucumber roll. The rolls were pretty decent and not bad. I would order from them again, maybe another tray. My only thing is that I wish the trays had a description of the rolls they come with.

This place is tiny, but the decor is very cute. Service was fast. They offer a cash pay discount. I ordered a Spicy Crab Roll, and also the Shrimp Tempura Roll and a lovely Miso Soup. It was all pretty tasty but the tempura was slightly soggy instead of crunchy. Not the end of the world Looking forward to trying some more things from here!

Torched shrimp pretty good. Rice quality is so so

The Kaishin don was the star. The fish was so fresh and the seaweed added a nice crunch. The mentai pasta was nice a creamy and the bacon bits added nice flavor. The rolls were also good but nothing to write home about so I might sub these for another dish the next time. Service was great and will definitely find myself back here at some point!

Reservations become available 14 days in advance on Resy, so I'd highly recommend booking early to secure a table during normal eating hours. Sadly, since it was just the two of us, we couldn't sample as much of the menu as we wanted. Our server recommended a hot appetizer and a fancier option from their Summer Special menu: KARAAGE - 14 Each order came with five thick pieces of chicken karaage. The chicken arrived hot and juicy, seasoned well enough to be enjoyed on its own or dipped in the side of shichimi mayo. This was a great appetizer to share, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a reliable classic. TEMAKI SET - 95 Served in roughly an 8"x8" wooden box, this set was lavishly topped toro, Hokkaido uni, ikura, and possibly Iberian ham, with crispt nori sheets on the side to make DIY handrolls. After scooping a bit of everything into a little wrap, I was greeted with the most intense, fresh sea flavors. The toro and Iberian ham were fatty and buttery, blending seamlessly with the velvety smooth uni and the fresh, bursting pops of ikura. I had to pause after every bite just to deeply savor it, and I lost count of how many times I said, "Wow, this is so good." Since I don't live in NYC, I generally avoid repeating restaurants even if I enjoyed them. However, Ozakaya is an exception to this rule -- it's easily one of the best meals I've eaten during all my recent visits. I don't know where they source their seafood, but it's incredibly fresh and packed with umami. Even days after, I'm still thinking about the velvety sweetness of that uni, and I can't wait for my next visit.

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.
