I went about 2 weeks ago because I was craving a good burger and this place had a decent rating for the area. Being a pub, I should have known better. I went alone with a book, but the only place to sit was at the bar. It was crowded and small. The man next to me immediately tried to strike up a conversation even after I had opened my book to start reading. I heavily implied that I wasn't in the mood to socialize, and he got the hint. The place didn't have inside smoking, but all the smokers stood right out front, and every time the door was opened, all the cigarette smoke came inside. So, the place was smoky. The burger came out to order and was average - bacon cheeseburger. This place is more for people going to hang out with buddies and looking for a very social atmosphere. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect burger. Bar Louie (though they have the rudest wait staff I've ever encountered) has a much better burger. read more

We were looking for a pub in Ashburn that had a lot Of Florida Gator memorabilia and thought this Might be it, so we stopped in, however we didn't see much of anything Gatory. We said will just order a drink and leave. Well, after looking at the Menu we decided to order. The hubby ordered the chili and bourdon sliders and I had the beaver damn salad. So, while waiting on the food we ask the waitress, Robin (super nice) about the pub with the Gator stuff and she said this is it. Yay, we found it, being a true Florida Gator fan from Gainesville Fl. Not much Gator stuff any more. Well worth staying and ordering. Our margaritas and food were outstanding. So glad we seeked out this place. Great and welcoming staff. Makes you truly feel apart of the family. The nachos the phenomenal, and the servers are very attentive.

Just finished lunch here with my mom and sister. Loved the food but loved the service even more. They are always friendly here but went above and beyond today. They immediately removed a reserved sign from a booth when they saw her walk in the door despite being busy. She's got an oxygen tank and has difficulty walking. They went out of their way to check in with her and even walked her out to get the door for her. That alone would have won me over! But the food was great too! She had the Surf & Turf special and it was killer! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the Chili MAC. Would have preferred spaghetti to macaroni but otherwise it was really good! We decided to carry out for the first time at Ashburn Pub, and being new to the area we decided to try this place out given the reviews. First off, Matt who answered the phone had a great personality and provided his opinion when I asked which wings should I get?? Of course Beavers were the first recommendation and the Buffalo... both out of this world!!! So when I arrived a waiter probably saw I was aimlessly wandering around wondering where I pick up take out and was super nice and curteous!!! Was in there last night after yelpers review. As stated nice local bar with reasonable prices and cool crowd. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because one of their regulars Gary is obnoxious and not a good person to happen to sit next to in the bar. Without knowing you he will introduce himself and he seems perfectly normal but in a matter of minutes he will engage and engross you and political and religious obnoxious ass conversations and he views, while his own, will be forced upon you even if you happen to agree with his ass. Cmon dude get a life and give people who just want to have a drink a break. The problem is the bar knows he does this because the bar tenders approached me when he went the bathroom to let me know that he always does this shit. So if that is the case, the owner needs to do something about it because the establishment is losing money because of a guy like him. I planned to have a few more drinks but this asshole wouldn't stop know matter how many times I asked him too and there were no more seats at the bar so I took my business and my money elsewhere. Get rid if Gary and u get 4.5 stars. Keep Gary around and folks like me will not go back again because he is a public nuisance. Lol read more

Hate to put a bad review for the Ashburn Pub but we had a terrible experience Saturday - 3/14. We had a bartender Tor who was really rude. We came in and I asked him what type of bourbon they had - his response was "those over there". From that point forward be was rude and not very inviting at all. Thankfully he was at the end of his shift and Kevin and Brittany were coming on for their shifts. The pub is a great place in general but this guy has to be called out - terrible service. read more

A little smokey but what do you expect until Jan 2010 when smoking inside restaurants and bars in VA will be extinguished. I love this place, they have great drink specials and I love the food, especially the "Beaver" Wings are the best in town compared to Glory Days. Great hang out afterwork for happy hour. You can't go wrong with 2 for 1 NY steak or prime rib on Saturdays. They even have a poker league play there. All in all great local place for pub food and spirits. Great service as well! read more

The epitome of "no matter where you're from, tonight you're from right here". Read the reviews about Moe's Bar analogies, and I think that's only as congruent as everyone seems to know each other. You don't go here for the decor, but the warm atmosphere of the patrons and staff. Non stop smiles, non stop laughter, and soon you're sucked in as one of their own. The music was loud, lots of rock from today, and the 80s, everyone sang along. Crowd ranged from 20s to 60s...very diverse in ages. Cute bar staff too. Good people go here, and it's great to meld with folks who lack any pretentious air and simply enjoy living. It's that comfortable. In comparison to the Irish Bar around the block Finnegans, no comparison. That place was much colder and dragging along in its institutionalization. Just sadder and lacked life in comparison to Ashburn Pub. I had the boneless chicken wings which were awesome, 5 beers later and got out of there for around $30. That's a good evening, and I will be back for sure. read more

I thought our dishes were good, but nothing I've been wanting to really come back for. I would like this place a lot more maybe if it was a little bigger. The only seat open was by the entrance and the place was full of people who seemed like regulars. I guess I felt a little out of place there actually! Went in and ordered a club sandwich. Wanted it on whole wheat bread which they did not have. Ask the bar maid if I could have something other than fries. Ask about cold slaw, no didn't have that then ask what she had and I settled on asparagus. When I got the bill there was a up charge of $4.00 for 6 pieces of asparagus. I went in for a late lunch on Monday 2/3. This is a great local pub. The Bartender was attentive and very pleasant. The few regulars there at 2:30pm were welcoming and fun. The music sounded really good on their system. I had a chicken sandwich with their signature Beaver sauce named for the person who came up with it. It's part Buffalo glaze, part Jack Daniels sauce. This the tale of 2 Steaks ordered Rare, and Medium Well. Surprising to me they looked identical when brought to us. I could not tell which steak was mine(rare)? The sides looked Perfect also!
