Waited another 2 weeks and they didn't pickup the broken bed or bring my new bed, they sent a tech out to see if it was broken. Went into the store again and I now have to wait until the 1st week of Jan for my new bed! And as I was standing there waiting now even acknowledged me for 5mins. The buying experience was very much like Being at a low-end car lot with a sales team playing stupid roles trying to distract me. The furniture was stunning in the store. When it was delivered the board to support my mattress was torn. the chest in the pictures was delivered not assembled during manufacturing correctly and the rail could not support the dresser drawer properly. We thought it was hard to pull out but didn't realize the problem until 40 days later. I called customer support and after being on hold 25 minutes I got a rude woman who just forwarded my call to the warranty company. This should have been replaced not passed off for brand new furniture. Zero customer serviceability. It's a take your money and run operation. It's too bad because we were about to buy a complete living room set from them as well. Thank God we didn't. They do not stand behind their furniture. read more

They have items in their store rooms for display, sell you these items, and set up a delivery date only for the items to NEVER ARRIVE, and when spoken to customer service they say "those items are on a waiting list and we don't know when we will be able to have them shipped and sent to you." No one clarified this at the store because everyone is quick to make a sale. This has happened several times. They will lie and say your products are in the warehouse ready to be delivered. Then will switch their story and say the items were never in the warehouse and that they don't know when the items will come. Why take my money and set up a delivery date then? This place is LAME. You're better off at living spaces, where they are reliable, helpful AND your furniture will come when they say it will. Bye, losers at Ashley! Darnell was excellent, knowledgeable and helpful but never pushy. Got us a great power recliner which has been a huge help to my wife - she has a compression fracture in her back, was in the hospital for almost two weeks in a lot of pain. Since coming home she's spent about 22 hours a day in this chair (most of the day and all night), almost no pain (& no drugs) for nearly six months now. Works great, no problems. I went to Ashley on a Sunday during MDW. I already knew what I wanted to purchase, but browsed around a bit. When I was ready, the guy at the podium in the front of the store sent over another associate to "help" me. What happened next was one of the rudest sales experiences I've ever had. First, he didn't greet me at all, he just said "follow me". Then proceeds to weave through a narrow path of furniture. Mind you, I have my infant child in a stroller. So I take the long route and meet him by a register. He proceeds to ask for my last name, zip code, and number - just like that. All without looking at me or engaging AT ALL. I could tell he was flustered and clearly in a rush, so I asked him if he was busy. He then turns to me and says "yeah, I have customers and I don't want to lose my sale". First of all, it wasn't even that busy. Secondly, am I not a customer? He was a short, heavy set, white guy, with a NY accent named MIKE. I mistakenly believed him. I received an email 3 days after I received delivery of the dining table that there is a sale with a significant discount applicable to my purchase. I called Ashley's number to see if I am still eligible for the sale and they aid no since I was already invoiced. I received the table with scratches and a technician is coming but that's not enough. Dont buy from Ashley Furniture in Concord, California. My husband and I went to Ashely furniture in Concord, California on 02/09/2019. We were looking for a headboard to our bed. We stumbled upon a floor model bedroom set that we liked that was discounted to a little over 1,000 dollars. We went home to measure and to think about the purchase over night. The next morning my husband went down to the store to tell the sales associate Mike Liss that we would like to purchase the set. When my husband went to go look at the set they increased the price to a little over 1,500 dollars, but included the chest. We got quoted 1,000 for the chest alone the previous night. Also for an extra nightstand would be 220 dollars. My husband spoke with Mike about throwing in another nightstand for a total of 1,600 dollars. He told my husband "I dont see why not, but let me go check" Now this is where it gets shady... The store manager Anis Ghammashi and Mike came back and said they would not honor the price on the sticker becuase the sales associate did it without permission and needed the chest for the next floor model being shipped. They gave my husband a new quote of 2,165 dollars which included the bedroom set, the chest (which would have to be shipped) and an extra night stand (which would also have to be shipped). My husband called me and told me all this information. I told him I thought it was shady how they increased the price, but we really liked the set so we are just going to deal with it. The sales associate Mike stated that my husband can dismantle the furniture and take it thru a door that was close by. My husband purchased the set and left the store to go buy furniture blankets to move the pieces that were the display floor models. He came back with a relative to dismantle and move the furniture. They stated they were not allowed to move the furniture until 48 hours later thru the door that was closest to the display. The manger stated it would mess up the count of people entering the store and it could not be shut off. They would have to move the furniture thru a door that was across the store. My husband called me to express his frustration. I told him ok whatever we will wait. When my husband came home we decided that we want a refund. He calls the store and spoke with a representative. She stated they can not process a refund and would have to wait 24 to 48 hours even though we just purchased the item today becuase the refund has to go thru southern California corporate offices. Then to confirm the policy he called the call center and spoke with a phone representative named Ashley. She stated the store was lying and the store manager just needs to sign off on the request. My husband furious at this point drives down to the store. He spoke with the sales manager who was very helpful. He explained everything in better detail. He showed my husband that the transaction is voided, but we would still have to wait for the refund because they took the power away from them in store becuase of so many errors. Attached is the photo of the price sticker that states 1,549.99 quoted before they increased the price to a the higher price. Do not waste your time at this store. Don't buy from them! I spent approx $4000 on furnishings to have my coffee table delivered in a color that not represented the floor model. During the delivery i expressed to the driver this wasn't what i ordered but he didn't speak English. Two weeks later with many lunch hours spent on the phone with the customer service to find out they denied my return! Stated this piece only comes in one color. They will not allow for factory discrepancies, and not relayed that could happen. Like what corporate company denies a return/exchange for a piece of furniture that wasn't the correct one? After doing a bunch of online research at Living Spaces and Wayfair, I couldn't find a comfortable chair that wasn't too big for my space. I ended up looking at Ashley Furniture because of the great prices and comfortable couch my sister bought with them. Boy am I happy I did! They have great options for affordable prices, a variety of sizes of chairs, different color options, and affordable delivery. But that's not why I'm writing this review. Taylor, the salesman who helped me at the Concord location, was awesome and totally made this a fun experience! We talked, we joked, he helped me pick out a suitable color and style of chair that I like! He also helped me stay within my budget, which was a BIG help! FALSE PROMISES - 4 MONTHS, NO DELIVERY YET! Mike Liss sold my family false hope as far as expected delivery dates. 1 month is turning into 4 months with no couches, an ear ache from customer service music, and several wasted days of waiting at home for rescheduled deliveries. Originally we purchased on 10/18 in-store, with a guarantee date of 11/30. Mike said "maybe by Thanksgiving", and we took his word on it and the gamble. We PAID CASH, declined the financing, and we still don't have couches 4 months later. On 11/27, we received a voicemail saying our delivery date was delayed until 12/31. AFTER CHRISTMAS?! How did "missing" Thanksgiving turn into "missing" Christmas? Maybe we won't have to sit on the floor to celebrate New Years and be rid of 2020? On 12/28, Anis, a Manager, called to convince us of another guaranteed delivery date for 1/13 since 12/31 was no longer happening. We were upset at this point and he tried keeping us calm with store credit ($500), which we didn't care for but accepted it, since what's another 2 weeks of waiting? It more so felt like a bribe to not cancel our order. We never heard or received a response from Anis again, even after he personally gave us his cell #. On 1/12 and 1/13, we never received a call or email reminder of any delivery status. However, the next morning (1/14) we received a text saying our delivery date was moved to 1/17. Shortly later in the day, we received a phone call that would again push our delivery date out to 1/22. They actually offered us every reschedule if we wanted to accept partial delivery, but we felt more comfortable accepting 1 full delivery due to COVID. On 1/14, we called the store to cancel our order, but "Terry", a Manager, refused to cancel our order after we requested multiple times. He told us to hold off until 1/22 since he "100% Guarantees Delivery", his own words, which he repeated to us. We honestly felt like our money was not going to be given back to us, and we were forced to keep "trying" to accept a delayed delivery for our order. Not sure whether to chance COVID again and go into the store to cancel before then, or take the risk and hopefully it will finally be delivered? At this point we are furious with the way customer service handles our calls, the way Managers keep giving us the run-around, and the fact that we PAID CASH and still don't have our couches 4 months later. read more

September 2020, our mechanical reclining couch broke. Not only did it break but the steel piece under the couch broke in 1/2. I called their warranty company GBS Enterprises and they opened a claim. It's been almost 6 months, repairmen have tried to fix the couch with a part (a part that fits doesn't exist since the couch is now discontinued) and now 2 weeks after the warranty service decided to replace the couch, the repair company wanted to come out and replace the part. WHAT PART? There is no part and I'm waiting for my credit at Ashley Stores! Ok. So I wait and call back today... GUESS WHAT? They cancelled the replacement because the repair man wasn't allowed to fix a couch that had NO PART ordered and was approved for replacement. Sound fishy? Yes, to me too. Now they have opened a new claim and the process starts over. Take my advice. DON'T BUY from Ashley furniture and DON'T purchase any furniture plans with GBS Enterprises or ProtectALL (they are the same). Shop at Costco, they value your business. read more

I visited Ashley Furniture recently and spent 2 hours shopping around for a couch. The woman who helped me was very friendly and attentive, checking up on me just the right amount. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because 75% of the couches on display were back ordered, meaning they wouldn't arrive for months with no estimated delivery date. I ended up leaving and purchasing a couch elsewhere because of this reason. Otherwise, I would definitely have liked to order from Ashley. read more

I've been dealing with incompetent employees the entire buying experience. I ordered a table for my new home and realized that the table was in high demand which is no problem. The issue at hand is the employees in customer service representative JOHN and manager NEISHYL. First off John is completely responsible for my reactions toward the company. During this time he has lied about the order, spoke negative about his coworkers at the Ashley Store. I was totally disrespected during this interaction. I spoke with the manager neishyl and she apologized profusely. She looked into the issue at hand and gave me clear and concise information about my order. I felt great after and under the impression that everything would work out. Since ordering and speaking to both I've had two failed deliveries with no communication in between. The only conversation that was had was a text message confirming my delivery which I confirmed and would be delivered June 8 which failed. The other delivery date was June 14 which also failed. I missed work due to the fact that representatives told me I had to be home to sign for the package. I called today June 15 and NEISHYL kept making excuses being a manager is unacceptable. She offered no remedy and told me it was rescheduled for delivery on June 17 but that was "subject to change" This was totally UNACCEPTABLE and DISRESPECTFUL, wasting my time and losing out on money. I ordered this item on May 25th and it's been close to a month of not receiving my product. The back breaker is NEISHYL knew this, when previously speaking with her and didn't inform me via call/text/email stating that it wouldn't be delivered for the second attempt of June 14. There were places on the sofa that were uncovered touching the ground. They left the love seat as pictured while bringing the sofa in my house. They rammed into my front door knocking my wreath over. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! We recently purchased a bed and a kitchen table from Ashley Furniture. Both of which had issues. Bed-we bought it on Oct 31st. They said it will be delivered Dec 15th. That day came and we got a call saying it won't be delivered until January 16th. January 14th came and we were told it will be delivered February 21st. Finally went to the store and the store manager Anis Ghammashi lied to us repeatedly and said he couldn't cancel the order. He was very rude to us even when they're the ones at fault. Kitchen table--10 days after being delivered, we noticed that two of the legs were crooked because they're missing bolts and the top has several scratches. We went to the store to report the issue, they said no problem, we'll get a technician to come and fix that for you. The technician came two months later and said, that's not fixable so we'll just replace the table top and hardware. Now, corporate called us and said they can't replace that for us because time has elapsed before it was reported. Wtf. Just horrible products, horrible customer service. The store never picks up any calls, you would have to be inconvenienced to go to the store and then they'll tell you corporate has to handle your issue. Their furniture aren't cheap either. Bought a dinning room table had it delivered on a sunday by sunday night the paint was "chipping" called warranty and tech came out tuesday and 'spray painted' and said to get some placemats at they are known for this. He leaves and chair breaks and paint wipes right off with a napkin. Submitted claim stated my fault, no it came to us chipping. Call local every week since 3/1/2020 to be told the regional manager isnt available and will call me back still waiting. Call the complaints line wait 3 hours to be told by automated system that someone will cal me back still waiting.
