This store doesn't treat customers as even humans. They make you wait long enough for no reason that people want to get out of the store. We were purchasing a decorative item, the associate did not help with picking the item. I picked it up with absolutely no help, from the corner of the store. And then she kept delaying asking for managers help. The manager is even more hopeless guy with no concern about customers time. He was reluctant to come over and help. I ordered a new living room set, couch, ottoman, TV console, and end tables, back in March. While I really like my furniture, and I liked the sales experience, my couch was delivered with a very small flaw. I was told to refuse delivery, but they couldn't tell me when I would be receiving a new couch. I did not want to not have a couch for an undetermined amount of time, so I accepted delivery and opted to attempt to have it repaired. This turned into a total sh*t show and I started receiving the run around. I had several people come out to try to "clean" my couch, yet, they were unable to resolve the problem, as the flaw appeared to be a small burn, like a hot glue gun burn. After having to be home for multiple visits from Ashley reps attempting to "clean" the burn, I opted to attempt to contact the store to resolve the issue. Each time I called, I was on hold for at least 15 minutes. which is super frustrating, but what's even more frustrating, is having Jamila, who identified herself as the customer service manager at the Dublin Ashley Store, hang up on me. Additionally, she NEVER returned phone calls or e-mails. This stores customer service needs some help. I ended up never getting my couch issue resolved and just accepted that my couch has a small flaw. It was too much of a hassle to get it fixed. the furniture that was delivered to me was not good quality compared to the showroom. The furniture was under stuffed and the desk chair in also under stuffed and it's uneven, really I put a level on it. The bubble was all the way to the right. I have called many times and got no answer . I even went back to the store where the manager told me he was sending my information to a complaint department. No one called. Then I went to the web site and found I could submit a complaint. I did get a response and was told someone would come to my house Oct 1 , no one showed up . Drove all the way to Dublin from Fremont to purchase a couch i really liked online based on information about a 50% off sale given to me by their telephone customer service rep. Only to find out that they mark up their items 50%!!! My sales rep Sahar was rude extremely rude and made the entire process super uncomfortable, did not bother explaining any of the paperwork she was demanding I sign and was bothered when I asked any questions. They mentally play with you with unlimited lies! NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY AND SPECIFICALLY THIS STORE! The whole store is a scam. I initially worked with David and Sahar and thought the problem is with them who lie easily but everybody from customer service, warehouse, store lie. Please don't get fooled with them. They are nice until they sell their garbage furniture to you, as soon as you walk out of the store you will start living in hell with their scam delivery system. Unfortunately, we bought 37 items from them in Nov and were promised to receive all of the items in one delivery, but after 7 times partial delivery we are still getting broken and damaged items. They literally ruined our whole life during these 3months. I spent more than 24h so far talking to them on the phone to fix the problem and every time I just got promises that never happened. They told me they returned my delivery fee already but it never happened. Please Never buy anything from them. You will not have a life if you buy even an item from them let alone 37!!!! I am sure they won't survive for a long time with their worse customer service ever! We wanted to buy our furniture from Ashley in Dublin because it was close to our house but Sahar who works there scammed us with her lies and told me that she is not happy with her manager in Dublin so she cannot give a good service to us in this branch. So she made us drive all the way to Colma to be able to work with her previous manager, David. We mistakenly believed her but now we got that they just wanted to raise the sale in the Colma branch because it was a new branch that just started right at the time we wanted to buy our furniture. Now that I am typing the story for you just crying because of all the black days that they made for us. You may not believe it but they really ruined our life, please never make our mistake and work with them. we could cancel our whole order but then after reading reviews, we found that they never return your money and it was true! We did not cancel our order though, they never returned the delivery fee that they had promised us. I bought furniture from Living space last time and it was delivered in two days instead of one day and they automatically refunded my delivery fee. I am sure if my story had happened in any other furniture store they would try to make us happy with our purchase but Ashley does not care because they are a scam. My husband and I went to the store on a Saturday. We found a piece we really liked. The item on the floor was damaged which should have been a red flag. The sales person said she could get it delivered in a few weeks and said their delivery service was exceptional. I asked why they charged $69 for delivery when online was free. She said online orders get damaged from UPS and they would build it at the store to assure quality with NO damage. They showed up early (another red flag) they had it in a torn up box and sure enough it was badly damaged. I was shocked it was boxed. I was shocked the driver thought it would be in good shape after looking a the damaged box. The driver told me it happens all the time. In fact it happened that morning and that is why they were early! Why would they load a damaged box only to find Brady damaged ... maybe so they don't have to "put together" and "bring in your home". I called immediately to find out they had no more in stock. They don't answer the phone as I called three days in a row. They would not refund me on the phone as they told me I had to sign papers. They made me go the store and guess what a sales manager tried to get me to buy the damaged one at the store. I told him I wanted my money back. He took a call and made me wait there and then made me go to a woman who didn't seem to care about anything and took her time. I walked out with no refund and they didn't have me sign anything! I'm waiting for their corporate office to call me so I can give them my credit card number and get my money back. This mess has taken a month to get resolved ...actually I'm still waiting. A month. I can't imagine this place staying in business much longer. I was hoping to keep some local businesses in Dublin, but no luck! After being on hold over 20 minutes a recording stated that due to high volume, if you're on hold for more than 50 minutes your call will be transferred to voice mail. Placed an order for furniture Black Friday and was told items may not come until January. Called January and they said the last piece is delayed until March. Yesterday I called to check on the status and they told me it will be May. I asked to cancel online and they say I must in the store. I am currently in the store and there is another person ahead of me. The manager decides to leave the area even though there are people in line waiting for help. Had the worst experience ever with this store! About 3wks ago I made a purchase for $3200.00 in cash on a living room set & also a bedroom set as well. To be told that I would receive my living room set on October 29th & my Bedroom set on November 6th. Hands down the WORST in customer service and care. Purchased a dining set which was delivered completely damaged. Made numerous attempts to reason with the store, they insisted on sending someone to inspect 1 month out for something they already knew they delivered as damaged (they have the pictures). Store manager was utterly useless , made commitments on helping and did nothing. Called the corporate phone line, they send you to voicemail after 15 mins and never call back or if you are lucky to get someone from their support they will bounce you across departments and eventually hang up on you not once but everytime you call. The store manager David Abelson is terrible. Once he makes a sell and delivery, he forgets about you even if you have an issue with your delivery. He doesn't return emails, calls, and does not provide good customer service. On top of that, when I see him in the store, he spends pretty much all of his time just hanging out and chatting with the other employees. He does not care about the customers. Update: They get One star! So, our items arrived. Our drop off was scheduled between the hours of 3:00-7:00pm. At 9:00am got a call from the delivery drivers saying that they were45 minutes away and asking if they can drop off our items early. They arrived and moved in all of our items. However, one of our dressers was obviously marked up. I showed the delivery driver and it said that the marks were apart of the paint. Do I look like boo boo the fool? I told him that it was not. Our bench couldn't be taken off of the truck because it had the wrong hardware. So 2 of our 5 pieces were not useable. The driver seemed annoyed because of our questions and unsatisfactory. If I knew we would have such bad service, I would have opted to put the bed together ourselves. I refused to sign because we didn't receive all of our items, even though they made note of the hardware and scratches. I told them I wouldn't sign and one of the drivers told me that I needed to make up my mind because they had other things to drop off. They took the dresser out to the truck and I assumed they would come back in to check on everything else. My door and screen door were wide open. After 10 minutes I went outside to check on them and they were gone. They didn't say goodbye or that they were leaving. They were very unprofessional and I wish that I would have shopped elsewhere. We were here to buy sectional couch. Initially we were here for just checking things around and then been to all known furniture shops. We did back and forth between this store and several other and just keep in comparing one couch we loved. They were really patient with us specially David and Sweet. Every time we walked in they answered all the questions we had starting from price, material and plush seating sofa life and everything else. Finally we placed an order and upon delivery we found that sofa size we selected was not smaller we miscalculated the size same evening we went there and they honored request and with same patience attended us and getting us the right size couch we needed. Complain on delivery times; it takes longer than expected; even knowing this, we got a couch with an initial date provided for a month delivery. After a month, it's now delayed one more month. Freaking scam. We bought a $2000 dining table set, plus $200 delivery. They delivered on time, but one chair was missing and table was badly dented. We were so off put by the craftsmanship we refused the delivery and their guys took it back on their truck. I gave them a few days to sort out, called customer service number. After 35 min wait on hold, customer service said I have to physically go to the store in person for refunds. Went to the store, they dont refund the delivery charges. Super shabby place. I felt like I was trying to buy a car. The man who sold us our couch was like a car salesman. Trying to get us to buy all this other stuff and I kept on saying no all I wanted was the couch. I was going to pick it up myself because delivery was $60. He knew I was going to pick it up myself but he charged me for delivery anyways. I was told by a friend this place was a rip off. That the price you see isn't the price they charge you. Worst experience. The manager JORGE is very unprofessional and shouts at customers in front of everyone. My furniture was getting delivered during weekday and I took off from office to receive it. They called me a day before to confirm and I confirmed it. On the day on the delivery, they cancelled my delivery. My wife and I have been to other Ashley locations. Had a great experience in other locations especially in Dublin location. Emeryville location is the worst. Oh why , Oh why, did I not read reviews about this place first. Buyers beware! The sales people attack as soon as you get in the door. We found some furniture we liked and then all it came crashing down on us. First thing the sales man puts down the wrong home address number. But he assures us he can fix it. The girls at the main desk say they will fix it. We set up a delivery date and they tell us we will be contacted 72 hours before delivery. My husband calls to find out why we never get a call and first we're told they never fixed our address, then they tell us that they NEVER call 72 hours ahead. We set up the time and fix the address issue. The day of delivery, can you guess...no one shows up. My husband lost a day of pay. He contacts the "suppose to be manager" at the store(of course she has no business cards that say she's manager) and we ask for restitution for their blundering mess. She offers $100. Basic slap in the face. We proceeded to cancel the order and of course she says it will take 2 days to process. What a lie! Thank goodness we charged this and we will cancel ourselves. This Furniture Store has to be the worse. When you are in the store Purchasing an item they sell you all the bells & whistles, on the Product and The PROTECTION PLAN. Well don't purchase it because they have a list of about 3-4 things they WILL cover and a list of about 50 things (EXCLUSIONS)that they will NOT REPAIR. Don't waste your money. I'm really conflicted on this review. I had a wonderful shopping experience ASHLEY and purchased a mattress, adjustable bed base and sleeper sofa. The purchase process was great. Because we bought several items, most of it was discounted. Where Ashley completely lost me as a customer is the promotion they had going for 60 months interest free for purchases over $2499. When I got my partial delivery and my synchrony financing detail my plan was just 24 months although my total purchase was almost $7500. I contacted my salesperson who proceeded to tell me that nothing can be done because the items had been partially delivered. She also told me my financing was 24 months because of the discounts THEY OFFERED. My terms were not outlined in any paperwork I received prior to the furniture being delivered. Based on ASHLEY Dublin's handling of my concern I'll never return or refer anyone here and even though the rep never got back to me I'm not done having Ashley corporate look into this. read more

I bought a recliner sofa from store that was delivered damaged. The delivery guy said he has taken picture of the part that is damaged and store will call to get it replaced. When I did not get any calls I went to store to complain about the damaged item. The customer support lady said delivery guy did not report the issue. Then she said yes she sees the picture of damaged item. I was told the technician will come and if I do not like fix they will replace the item. Seeing almost reaching 30 days of purchase went to complain that I can not wait for technician any more and I want part replaced since it was delivered damaged. They declined to request to replace the item damaged. They also say once item is delivered and can not be returned. When I asked why the delivery guys gave me damaged item and why they told me that store will replace the item, their answer was that those are contractors not Ashley employees. I just feel cheated and helpless that Ashley delivered me a damaged item and I can neither ask for replacement of the damaged part or can not even return within 30 days. read more

Had the worst shopping experience ever at this store. They have the most dysfunctional organization I have ever come across. I shopped for a dining table set and it was delivered with multiple manufacturing defects. Went to the store and asked if I choose a different table set, and was told sure go ahead and we can apply a credit memo for the initial purchase. Spend hour with my family to choose an alternate set and when we wanted to go ahead and purchase, store manager found that the system won't allow and even after getting approval from the regional manager, the corporate customer service didn't issue the memo. The conversation was left at the inability for the store to issue credit, with customer service have the final say...!!! I went in today hoping to find a new couch but I left within 10 minutes. One of the employees, I wish I had gotten his name, was so incredibly rude. He asked me when I walked in if he could help me and I said no thank you, that I was just browsing. The furniture was damaged and the delivery guys DAMAGED MY WALL as they were removing it from my house (have pics to prove it). Delivery guys and I all called and reported the damage and I have yet to receive a call from the Damage Dept seven days later! I have sent numerous texts and made calls (messages left) to the sales agent and the Store Manager, Antone, and no one has responded to me or reached out. My family and I went to the Ashley HomeStore in Dublin and received great customer service from the sale person The sales representative, Karan, was very helpful. Upon receiving the outdoor furniture, received damage, I was told by driver to talk to to manager for the replacement. The manager Stephen Holoman made me run around for 3 week and today (11/2/18) he told I need to call customer care for the replacement, after on hold with customer care they said I need to talk to the local manager. This is ridiculous, I will not recommend any one to buy anything from them, they are rip offffff. I just waste $4000.00 with them. went there to purchase a couch, coffee table and end tables. they ran a card i had and when i went to pay cash for the remaining amount they canceled the transaction and told me they need the manager to run the payment since it was a cash purchase. they removed the money from my card the first time and told me i had to pay a different way since the card was now being declined. they then told me i would get the money back on the card but that never happened. now they are telling for over a month they are going to send a check. called again today to find out they never issued a refund only store credit.... do not shop here they give you the run around and have no desire to take care of customers. court appears to be the only option.... read more

I can not adequately express how horrible my start-to-finish experience with Ashley HomeStore has been. Here are the highlights: The sales person neglected to include a critical piece in the order (one I asked about and was told was included), it took several calls to customer service to reach someone who was knowledgeable enough to realize what I needed. The wrong size part was then sent with the order. The Dublin store manager tried to charge me $199 for the part which was $50 online. He begrudgingly gave me the online price. When I rejected the wrong size part for delivery, customer service lied and told me it was the correct part and they wouldn't redeliver without an additional fee. When I explained I saw it with my own eyes and it was not correct, she got flustered,YELLED AT ME (!!!!!) and hung up on me. I had to make no less than 8 calls to get a hold of a manager, who promised me a refund of the delivery fee and the part for free. Subsequently I was told i would have to pay for the part and would only receive a partial refund of the delivery. I could not get the manager, Dave to return my calls. Finally I reached someone who got the refund sorted. The correct part was delivered, but the delivery person never even rang my doorbell. According to some workers that were at my house, the delivery people THREW the part in the driveway and drove off. It was supposed to be installed, and was not. I had to install it myself, which was not easy and required special tools I had to buy. In the meantime, I noticed a problem with a nightstand that was part of my delivery. The delivery guys had hastily put it together and at the time, I pointed out the drawer was crooked. He straightened it out and said it was "just like that". The drawer became crooked again and I took a closer look. I realized he screwed the screws in too tight and had split the wood entirely up the side and destroyed the screw socket. The side of the nightstand bulged out due to the broken wood and the drawers do not fit. Despite the fact that this cannot be fixed, they are forcing me to meet a technician before they will send a replacement. That appointment took me two weeks to get. I'm not sure what they will try to do, glue it? It needs to be replaced. So to recap: Bad sales guy. Delivery guys throwing items into the driveway and leaving it without installing. Bad assembly by the delivery guys who broke a piece of furniture and tried to pretend it didn't happen, telling me the drawers were crooked for no apparent reason. Horrible management... Dave has avoided all my calls and had done NOTHING to make any of this right except refund a small amount of a delivery fee. Oh and they love to remind you that once the furniture is in your house, there are no refunds, no matter what mistakes they've made. You're basically a hostage. Please, shop anywhere else. This stuff is junk anyway. Ikea quality is often better. (I knew it wasn't lifetime furniture, but I didn't expect the whole experience to be this horrible!) ETA: the technician that came to fix the nightstand was AMAZING. So there's that. read more

Any possible positive experience I had during purchase was completely overridden after the sale was completed. Delivery and customer service both continue to be horrible and we are still dealing with problems almost a month after purchase! The delivery team was aggressively rude and careless - damaged our wood floor and our new dining set and then refused to take it away and replace it with an undamaged one. Service information on the documents they gave us a time of purchase was wrong - the number on the material sent us to a service line that only helped folks in Texas. Even the number on the sales rep's business card was typed wrong. Ashley support staff acknowledged multiple times on the phone that the delivery service was an ongoing issue and yet the two teams we have had come to the house in an ongoing attempt to fix the issues with our table have been lazy, rude, careless and belligerent. There is not attempt to improve the situation and now we are being told that the store will no longer help us directly and that we have to go through customer service. As I have been reminded repeatedly since this unfortunate purchase, when you get something from a reputable store on the internet, the customer service folks are immediately available, prepared to fix issues at once and the delivery folks are nice and professional.
