My partner and I bought our very first home and prior to moving, we purchased a dining set, bedroom set, and some living room furniture. We ordered a total of 15 items and were told our delivery would be in by November 2021 (2 months after we moved in). We were okay with this wait but when November came, we had not received a call or email. After multiple attempted calls, we were told our furniture keeps getting delayed with no communication from Ashley. It's been delayed 4 times. Absolutely unacceptable. We found out that since we ordered so many items, they are waiting for all to be in stock before shipping instead of giving us partial deliveries. Since this is the case, when some of our items are available, they ship them to other customers which causes us to wait longer for that item to come back in stock. Several customer services representatives have either no information to provide us or incongruent answers. Nobody seems to know what is happening. One customer service representative told us that the "sales agent probably told you what you wanted to hear to make the sale." How is this customer service? They won't rectify the situation and keep making excuses. We finally demanded a partial delivery to receive 7 items that were available but the customer service representative gave us pushback several times (despite being told partial deliveries would be done when we first purchased). We finally got him to schedule it but then come delivery day 3 of the items were damaged and had several scratches and marker lines on them because they came unwrapped. We requested an exchange and they were set to be delivered today (2/28/22) but did not get contacted with a window frame for delivery. We had to call in but the customer service rep kept losing signal, refused to call back, and then the call was dropped. We called again and the next sales rep reported there was nothing in their system after we had already confirmed on Saturday (2/26/22) it was supposed to be delivered today. We requested a new delivery be scheduled and asked for a confirmation number. We were told they do not give these out. What kind of business is this? They seem to never have signal and when you can talk to them they put you on long holds. We will never order from here again. This has been the worst sales and customer experience we have ever witnessed. DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

Disappointed with "corporate policy" excuses and lack of management's ability to do the right thing. We bought a dining room set on 11-13-20 during Ashley's "big sale" and we received a 55% discount off the "regular" price. Not sure if anyone ever really pays the full price there. Took delivery a week later on 11-20-20. So far so good... On 11-25-20 I received an Ashley pop up ad on my I-Phone advertising the same dining set for $190 cheaper. On 11-27-20 I called the store where I had made the purchase and the lady assisting me stated I could bring the receipt back to the store and get a "price match" adjustment. Honestly, just what I expected to hear from a customer standpoint. Drove to the store the same day and went to the customer service area where I met with the lady from my earlier phone call. Hear it comes, I'm sorry she's tells me, you already took delivery so Ashley won't be able to help you. She checked with a manager, Charles I think, just to be sure. Yup, he confirmed, no adjustment could be made, that's our "policy" since you took delivery. The woman handed me a $50 gift card for my trouble and I handed it back stating I was going to pursue the full $190 difference in price. Drove home and called Ashley's corporate customer service line and had to tell my story to 2 people before I finally spoke with Travis. Now I'm telling my story a 3rd time, over the phone. Travis confirmed the "policy" and said nothing could be done. I explained the $190 was a significant amount of money and asked him if he wouldn't be doing the same thing I was doing. He laughed and said "not for $200, during these tumultuous times I would just let it go". He made me feel as if I had entertained or amused him during this process. We have all made purchases in the past only to find that item cheaper a few days later. When the difference amounts to enough, we have all returned the item for a refund and repurchased it at the cheaper price to save a few bucks. If you're reading this, I'm sure you have your own example. So for now, they are more than happy to sell the dining set for $190 less than what I paid a few days ago. Ashley just isn't happy enough to do anything for me... How frustrating... read more

I received an email on a promotion to book an in store Black Friday tour, in the mist you'll receive a 50.00 MasterCard. My appointment was today excited to see what bedroom items they have, took some picture to talk things over with my husband as we don't make Rational decisions. I didn't make a purchase that second I was like can you take my info in case you get new items so he did and said next time when you come in and make a picture we will give you a 50.00 gift card. Then I showed him the email that I will post here. If someone can prove me wrong I will love to hear back. I show them how it says 50.00 just for coming and refuse to honor it, they said with a purchase so I found this cute candle holder and was like here Scott can I purchase this. Scott had me wait to ring me up he said he was already dealing with the next client seems like he could only ring me up. I waited a while say the least he starts to check me out says he needs in override for the 70percent off the item he asked for an id. I hand him my passport this lady comes to help him and says I need an id or driver license I can't use a passport. Confused as to why a passport highest form of Id wouldn't be allowed.I was astonished by this at that point I decided to leave the purchase. I had talked to a few people and the story's changed each time seems no one understood the promotion some send it will be emailed to you others said with a purchase. This lady that was there was having the same problem. She said this guys wanted to just take 50.00 off the item I was purchasing. This company should get it together couldn't show me the detail that I needed to purchase an item. I would love to hear from a high up. Please high light the part in the email I received, prove me and all the customers who were turned away or forced to purchase something in order to receive the 50.00 this doesn't make anyone go back with this type of treatment. read more

I recently moved and was interested in purchasing a queen sofa sleeper. I went online to view what Ashley Furniture had to offer. Then on Labor Day, I decided to head up north to the home store on Golf Road in Niles, IL. I was introduced to Mr. Abraham who proceeded to give me undivided attention regarding my interest in sofa sleepers and proceeded to show me what was on display in the showrooms. I expressed to him my desire for the one that I saw online and to my surprise and delight I was able to purchase it. I also received the Labor Day discount and other discounted fees. This not only blessed me but to my surprise again, I was able to choose my delivery date which was nine days later because I still needed to prepare my new home for this big purchase. (I could have gotten it two days after my store visit but was not prepared.) Mr. Abraham explained everything to me about my purchase and what to expect regarding delivery. I received the sofa sleeper yesterday and I am very very pleased with my purchase. This sofa sleeper exceeds my expectations in size, color, appearance, and cost. (It wasn't as huge as I thought it would be and doesn't take up as much room as I thought it would in my new apartment.) Oh, there's more! The delivery men were very courteous and professional. I was notified several days before delivery, on the day of delivery and 10 minutes before the gentleman came. It has been a long time since I have had such a good purchasing/delivery experience for something as big as this. My landlord recommended Ashely HomeStore and I am so grateful that he did. It is my opinion that dealing with a sales rep in person is far more advantageous than making furniture purchases online. I am grateful that there was an Ashley HomeStore relatively close to me. My wife and I have purchased furniture from your Niles store in the past. I went to the store to look at King size mattresses, however was shocked to see the "No Guns" sign on the entrance door. Your sign will not stop criminals intent on doing harm. Your sign will only stop those law abiding citizens such as myself from entering your business. Legally armed citizens with their concealed carry licenses have been thoroughly vetted and trained. We have received 16 hours of training. We have been proven not to have had any mental health issues through process of a mental health check. We have been proven not to have had any violent history through process of a back ground check. We legally armed citizens are proven to never have committed any felonies. We legally armed citizens are not the people you would need to worry about. By prohibiting firearms in your establishment, you are actually creating a soft target, and letting criminals know that nobody is inside to defend the store. You also may be opening yourself to liability should a robbery or violent attack ever occur in your store because you are preventing people from defending themselves? What type of security system do you have to ensure criminals are not entering your store? Criminals will laugh at your sign. Only the law abiding will take notice, and we will take our business elsewhere. While I support your right to post such signage I can no longer support your business until the signage is removed. read more

This is my second time buying furniture from Ashley. I must say that their customer service is the best in town; the credit goes to the top-notched, super customer service provider "Suzana"!!! She treated us like a family; never forced us to buy, allowed us time to walk around the showroom freely without her tagging along like so many other sales associate do. She's very knowledgeable, courteous, loving and kind person. I would love to buy from her next time too and would definitely recommend her to everyone. She helped us picking out the best living room that met our criteria. We went ahead and even bought stool chairs for our kitchen bar. In my entire life, I've never met such love able person who treats her clients like family, and goes whole ten yards to make sure that they leave the store happily. We love you Suzana for your great services and being who you are. It would not be fair if I didn't mention the man who is running this smooth operation- the one n only Tony. Tony is the store manager and one of the nicest person; who would make sure that we leave with a smile on our faces. He helped us out in any way he could. Ricardo is the best, there is no doubt about it. We visited the Niles, Illinois store a few times and were naturally inquisitive before making a significant purchase of this nature (as furniture always is), and Ricardo's vast knowledge (he has years of experience in this field and truly is a bona fide expert) was so helpful as was his attention to detail and extremely friendly and accommodating demeanor. As a matter of fact, we were made to feel so comfortable that we returned for additional purchases. The staff here, at this location, is the best, and Sara is also a significantly outstanding and friendly attentive representative as well, as are the management and staff (so a special thank you to all of them!) .. After visiting numerous stores throughout the Chicagoland area, we do have to say that Ricardo is our "go-to" man, and we're definitely coming back to make some more purchases. An extreme thank you to Ricardo, because like Michael Jordan is to basketball, like Ric Flair is to wrestling, like Walter Payton is to football, and like Muhammad Ali is to boxing... We've been waiting for 1 month for our delivery. Paid Premium Delivery and today, delivery date, I called for an ETA. They told me the 2 beds I bought were out of stock and would be available on September 24th. No one called us during this entire month to let us know, not even on the day of delivery. I spoke to the Store Manager, Ramen. With quite an attitude he told me that I had to go back to the store and speak to a sales person and pick another bed first to then see if it was available for delivery or not. He said he was the only manager and too busy to search for available beds for me or to ask a sales person himself. At no point, either customer service or the manager, said something so simple as: I apologize for the inconvenience, let me see what I can do to resolve this for you. Instead they just said: you have to wait or come to the store to pick another one with a completely condescending tone. I am submitting complaints to the Illinois Consumer Protection, BBB, and everywhere I can. Already emailed corporate office and will continue to let people know the kind of business practice of this place. read more

Shoppers beware!!! You're going to spend a lot of money and you'll end up with cheap furniture! After less than three months of buying my furniture i noticed the paint started to peel since it was small i was disappointed after spending so much money but i overlooked it since it was minor.However, in less than a year two of the three leg supports gave out and my niece sunk in!! After waiting on the phone for over an hour i was able to schedule an apt to have someone come out. They came and replaced the part THE NEXT DAY!!! one of the leg supports started to slant again, spend around 45 minutes again waiting for a rep to pick up to set up another apt... the guys came out "fixed it" and once again about two weeks later you can tell one of them is starting to slant again. so i called it again this time they sent a tech out and i had to wait for the report. the tech reported that everything was fine but they are clearly not my previous furniture lasted years and never had a problem, you may as well go somewhere cheap and shop there at least youll know what youre getting yourself into. read more

She helped us match the right furniture with the freshly painted colors of our walls in our new home. The service was fantastic and the prices and deal we got really caught the interest of friends and family who came to the house to check out the new furniture. I recommended Ashley Furniture to all my friends and family. The bed we got looks great and I love it. The black finish looks gorgeous against my Butterscotch walls. The living room furniture is so comfy and my set of couches all recline would is great. My antique finish on my kitchen chairs are gorgeous. The wood table is solid and heavy and really good quality and so are the chairs. I am truly pleased with everything. All my friends have bought from Ashley's in the past and they recommended them to me since I am moving to a new place and needed new furniture. When my mom and I stepped into the store Barbara greeted us and showed us around answered all the questions. We found what we needed and it was ordered. I was so pleased that they made sure to follow up with me about the order through email, text and calls. they arrived the time they said they would, the guys were so nice and professional. They were so carful with the furniture and super polite. I was told my dresser didn't arrive but they would call me when it would arrive to my house. I though "ok maybe in a week". Nope within 2 hours I got a call and a text saying they are 10 minutes away with my dresser. Anna was excellent! My daughter and I walked in on late Saturday morning and did not leave until 3 pm. My daughter had just moved from New York City to her new empty two-bedroom condo. Anna's expertise helped us fill every room with furniture and accessories. She has worked at Ashley for many years and really knows the inventory and gave us ideas for how to put rooms together. Coming in a bit stressed after a long move and wanting the furniture as soon as possible she was able to get everything to us in a matter of a couple of days over the Fourth of July weekend. She made everything so easy and pleasant and really enjoys what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help in buying furniture. I am moving into my first apartment in May (originally was going to move in March). I went to Ashley Furniture back in October, and the workers suggested coming back for their Black Friday sales to give myself time for delivery due to furniture taking awhile to come in. I came back the day before Thanksgiving and bought a couch with Mili, and let me tell you, her customer service is TOP NOTCH. The couch I ended up choosing was actually ready for delivery after 3 weeks and she has been nothing but helpful in rescheduling my delivery until I was ready. I have had the BEST experience with Ashley Furniture, thought I would share (and I have Never written a YELP review). My experience buying the couch was good but the Customer Serice since then has been amazing. My counch was delivered while I was at work, my brother was there to accept the delivery. When I got back from my business trip several days later and see my couch for the first time I see that the left side of the couch is broken. (I hadn't even sat on the couch yet). Be aware purchasing anything in this store. I purchased an item for $2449 and asked when purchased it what is a return policy because I wasn't sure if this item will fit within a frame that it needs to go in to. I was told by a salesperson that I have 3 days from the delivery to return it if it didn't fit. I called the same day of delivery to return it but was told by customer service and the manager, after back and forth many phone calls, no returns or exchanges. I was having a bad day with getting mattresses from Bob's furniture. On my way home, I decided to give Ashley Furniture a chance. When I walked in, I was greeted by a man Named Dennis. He was very polite and friendly. I told him what I was looking for, and my budget. Right away he showed my what was available. This was a good decision when I stopped there. I got two mattress set for a great price, delivery the next day by two awesome delivery guys, and I had a great night's sleep. So - Everything was great up until the delivery. God forbid something should go wrong and you have to deal with customer care. They delivered the wrong table- took almost an hour to argue with the "care" reps that this wasn't what I ordered even though I provided multiple pictures measurements... etc. still not resolved- supposedly I'll get a call tomorrow for my new delivery date. Honestly I'm close to throwing this stuff in my Rover dropping it off in front of their store in an embarrassing display. If tomorrow this isn't resolved that's exactly what's happening. read more

We met with Jacob Westhoff at the Geneva store to look at Tempurpedic mattresses. Jacob is a very pleasant sales person. He explained things very well and handled our questions with an obvious high amount of experience. He made us feel as though his mind was totally on us, and our needs and concerns. The NILES IL store uses deceitful practices to sell or claim they are selling a particular item to the customer only to find out you are not receiving the items purchased in store. The sales people are clearly trained to LIE to customers and later denied refunds. Management is a waste of space with no resolution offered. Don't bother calling- no one picks up unless you start posting negative reviews online after which SUDDENLY, MIRACULOUSLY, a call is returned. BUYER BEWARE!!! Never shopping there again! read more
