I went there to buy a new furniture. Saw the set was cost $4799.00 original price, but was 40% clearance. Wanted to do finance, and talked to Mark( sale manager ). He explained to me; There is two term of financial agreement; 1. 48 months without interest with minimum pay monthly. But I have to pay for the full price, not discount price. 2. 6 months contract with discount price purchase. He said, however, if I don't pay the full amount off after 6 months, there is a 29.99%. It will be 29.99% on the purchased price, not on the remaining balance. Also 6 months interests will be added to my balance. Ex. If I paid 2,300$ by the end of the 6th month, I will be charged interest 29.99% on 2,700$, not remained balance, plus 6months interest. So I asked him what is the benefit for customers to shop here?? Absolutely horrible customer service was on hold for 30 minutes for no reason, I saw how every employee was standing around when I was there yet make me wait so long on hold. Also the clackamas phone number has all of its extensions leading NOWHERE!! Wasted my time so I returned my purchase LOL WASNT A DEAL ANYWAYS. Update- phone number to the store still doesn't work.... My husband and I just bought all our new furniture at this location and we had a very pleasant experience. Tim and Jamal were our guys, very helpful and sweet. They did their absolute best to give us a good deal on all the pieces we bought and to make sure we had the proper insurance to go with it. Wow, can't believe the negative responses I've seen thus far, I had a great experience shopping at Ashley. The furniture is excellent quality at very affordable prices. I was greeted right as I entered by a very friendly salesman and he was very helpful throughout the whole process. I understand it takes time to deliver the furniture, but when I asked the salesman why, he explained that they reduce their overhead by not maintaining a warehouse of inventory (yes, I'm an accountant); so it must be shipped from California. We bought a reclining loveseat from them on Monday 8/9, the only reason we went looking for one was because our parents had to be moved into an assisted living home and needed something small that would fit in their room, they promised it would be delivered Saturday 8/14, we received a confirmation email on Friday but didn't have a date or time of delivery, so we called them to confirm they would deliver it on Saturday, they informed us it would be delivered on Tuesday, which we told them was unacceptable, we went down to the showroom, and they informed us that they to bump the delivery but couldn't say why, then told us that they would call us Saturday morning to see if there was a possibility of it being delivered, they never called, so we called them, then they told us it may not be delivered Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, but couldn't guarantee it, when we went back down and asked them to cancel the order and refund us the cash that we paid, they let us know they didn't have that much cash on hand, and would have to have corporate send us a check in 7-21 business days! Do not do business with this store, you will get the run around, and be lied to, there are other stores in town that actually have items in their warehouse, shop them first!! read more

When the bed finally got delivered it was incomplete and I had to wait ANOTHER month just to receive my missing piece ripped and scratched. Great selection on the floor, sure. But everything after order was a disaster. First, I was promised a delivery date after placing items on layaway, and then as the delivery date approached, I didn't get a call to confirm delivery. When I called, I was told that the item has to be ordered again since I have not paid for it in full. So delivery date got pushed out by 2 weeks. I paid for it. Then i got a call as the second delivery date came around for multiple reasons - "we have an earlier delivery date", "well, we do, but we dont have part of your delivery", "we can deliver part of your delivery on the scheduled day, but the truck doesn't have space". I am still yet to receive my items, and I am not sure what shape they will be in. Highly frustrating. read more

My old (3 years old) sofa didn't last more than 3 years. My folks bought it for me from Ashley. My partner and I looked around and thought we'd try Ashley again because we found a sofa we both liked. The nightmare began. The couch was delivered in mid September and the cushions sagged in the middle the first day we received it. I was laid up following three major surgeries, so I couldn't call right away. When I did a couple months after I was told by Megan (customer service) on Nov. 14, 2019 and was told that was what happens when you sit on it after awhile. It was only less than 2 months! A case was open. On 11/21/19 a rep. Michael came and checked the sofa out. He said the frame was bent, took a photo and ordered new inserts for the cushions. We had the old cushions until they were delivered on December 5,2019. I called Elizabeth (customer service) and each time she was very difficult to work with. No evidence from Michael of photo or messed up frame. We set up a day for the rep. Michael (same gentlemen as before) to put the new inserts into the sofa covers. He broke the zipper of the cushion cover. Michael ordered another cover deliverable in 10 days. He also told us he sent the photos and report in regarding the frame when he first came. We taped the conversation when he was here. Hear that Elizabeth? I called the number for Ashley re: the broken zipper and to find out Michael's name. Tracy was wonderful. She told me that they had the work order and the earlier photos and write up regarding the frame. And apparently Elizabeth is customer service at the Ashley store we bought the sofa from in Happy Valley. So now we have one good cushion and one that protrudes out due to the zipper. We have to wait, as I mentioned prior, that we have to wait 10 days to have the new cover delivered and who else knows how long we have to wait to get the insert installed. Tracy was the only ray of sunshine throughput this process. The other people were frustrating. We will no longer shop at Ashley furniture. And we will tell others about our ordeal. The store itself was nice and the sales representatives were very helpful. I got the exact couch I wanted with very little to no pressure from sales representatives. However, when It came to the delivery I was only given three of the four pieces of furniture I ordered. After spending close to two hours on the phone with customer care I will have to wait another 48 hours to schedule a new delivery date. Therefore after everything is said and done I will have spent close to eight hours to receive the delivery and I was only compensated half of my delivery charge. The delivery time blocks are three hours Windows and I spent two hours on the phone with customer care and on hold. Is it POSSIBLE that they actually STILL IN BUSINESS???? It's truly hard to believe in this day and age that a sketchy outfit like this manages to stay afloat. They suffer horribly in every possible customer service niche - they make every bad mistake - don't come through with deliveries or returns (ESPECIALLY RETURNS) - and downright Nastiness! Rude, belligerent customer service telephone agents and "managers".......they hang up deliberately, accidentally all of the above. We called and insisted they pick up a sofa we bought and was delivered, as it reeked of too much formaldehyde and fire retardant spray and I couldn't Breathe! I told them so myself, and that I was disabled as was my husband and we had no where to put the sofa until they told us they could pick it up in 2 weeks!!!!!!! She told me "that's not my problem, how can I tell you where to put the sofa?????" Truthfully, she actually said this to me. A "manager" in customer service. You can't reach stores directly, they ask for inappropriate identifying information before they will allow you to speak with a supervisor/manager...........you're on hold interminably usually only to hear a "click" when they tire of hearing it ring. The stores are pumped full of fragrance (for which I have to wear a mask in order to breathe in) which I believe they purchase in order to "mask" the formaldehyde in every single piece of "furniture" they sell. Every dresser, nightstand, dining table.........is covered with basically some sort of paper-like veneer which is actually just a reproduced-a-zillion-times photograph of actual wood. Everything they sell is pressed wood composite, nothing hardwood or REAL. It's beyond overpriced as the stuff all is fairly gassed with chemicals as are their stores and the bathrooms that I couldn't use for the same reason! Seriously, a customer service department that said they had no record of us calling to have a sofa picked up due to my not being able to breathe from it......although my husband had called and set up times for them to pick it up and they didn't show up. They told me they had "nothing in their notes" for a pickup. Once you buy a piece of their ...."stuff"....., it's out the door and they don't give a dime what happens to it after that. Whether it "performs" or not "isn't their problem"......and good luck trying to get your money back or get them out to your place to pick up a return (which they pitch that they are happy to return things you're not happy with)............. what a bunch of crackpot bozos in every Possible respect. UPDATE: Ashley Furniture did finally respond after both my husband and I gave reviews on Yelp. They did exchange the platforms for the box springs as requested. We like the furniture we purchased, but we still feel like we should not have to jump through so many hoops to make what is such a simple exchange. When you shop at Ashley, I recommend you make sure you work with someone experienced and knows what they are selling to you. I've changed my review from one to three stars. Stay away!!! Very disappointed with the service at this store. They talked me and my husband into not getting a box mattress with the new bed frame we purchased and instead get platforms. They did not work out at all. When I called customer service they said there was nothing they could do. We even offered to pay the price differential. When I mentioned we just spent $7000 for our entire purchase, the person's response was "I don't care how much money you spent, we won't make any switches." Very rude customer service. Do not buy from these people!!! The customer service is terrible! Once you buy something it's impossible to get a hold of the store. The online support is crap. Back and forth with them and then thy give you a reference numbers they never follow up on. They only delivered to our area one day a week. It was not convenient but I picked a date a few weeks out I could take the day off. They texted me the Friday before my Tuesday order and confirmed. Tuesday came and they called and canceled. They would only schedule the next day cause they screwed up or another Tuesday. I tried to get them to come the next Monday that I had off so I didn't have to take another day off since it was on them for canceling. It was a nightmare trying to deal with customer service. So I took Wednesday off to deal with there 4 hour time frame. I asked for a refund of the delivery fee or partial. They made me jump through hoops for 3 days for someone to call and say that they never refund delivery fees. They just do what they want and don't care. The customer service department just reads off a script with no help so don't even bother with them. They take no responsibility as a company. I went into this store and purchased a new table, 4 chairs and a bench. Delivery was scheduled for the following Saturday, the morning of the scheduled delivery I received a call that most of my furniture was damaged, but they could deliver three chairs. I went ahead and excepted the delivery of the three chairs with the promise of a phone call back within two days to let me know when the rest of the furniture will be delivered. The guys showed up and delivered the entire set undamaged and told me that only one chair was damaged I don't know how the communication was so broken down. I never got a call to deliver the chair I called finally and was told I would have it on Friday I never got it I went into the store where I purchased the table and chairs and had a horrific customer service. I was told I had to be home again all day on Saturday for the delivery of one chair. By now I'm very frustrated so the customer service girl offered to give me a $100 gift card. So walking around Ashley furniture there's not much you can get for $100 I ended up getting some blankets and when I came to the register she was shocked I think her intention was to give me $100 gift card towards the purchase of another big item. I was told a $100 gift card there were no stipulations. She then told me she needed to call her manager? I ended up getting the blankets and was treated pretty horrible. If you offer someone $100 gift card then you're offering someone $100 gift card it should be stipulated or assumed which I think is what happened and then she got really upset. The salesman Kelly was very helpful and not pushy at all, suggesting things similar to what we were looking at because what we came in for was not on the floor. I can not recommend him enough. If you ever want a bad experience, come to Ashley Furniture. I recently just bought a King Tempur-Pedic bed and got it delivered it to my house. When they delivered the bed, they refused to set it up and decided that I should carry it inside. This bed weighs roughly around 130-180 for a King Bed. I finally called the manager for Ashley and he finally got them to move it inside my house. However, during this process the movers decided to throw my new bed on the drive way because they were pissed that they had to move it. It created at least 8 holes on the bed and left a bunch of damages on my wall. I reported everything to the manager and he said that he will get back to me. I've called Ashley at least 20 times because I want a new replacement of my new bed and money for the damage wall... and guess what? No one wants to help me or answer me. read more

Wow. My wife and I struggled for 10 minutes with an extendible table's leaf. We wanted to see it open vs. closed and it was frustratingly difficult. We pushed and pulled; even crawled underneath to try and unlock it. We saw one sales person watching us struggle. Two others walked by and looked and kept onward. We intended to spend about 9k-10k on furniture since we moved just yesterday and are sleeping on an air mattress in a brand new house. No help = no sale. Please buy furniture elsewhere. One more bonus: a large gentleman who was a salesperson, on several occasions, barreled through the narrow walkways nearly trampling multiple customers. My wife had to jump out of his way. I trusted him and waited only for the price to go up about a hundred dollars. I called to see if they could price match it and they basically accused me of lying and said their employee would never say such a thing. I am so disappointed in this company! Our salesman was Jeff , we purchased a couch , chair and a large throw rug on December 2nd . We were down to paying for our purchase when Jeff tells us unfortunately we won't receive our furniture until just after the first of the year . We bought their most expensive mattress and a bedroom furniture set. When it was delivered, the mattress boards and mattress didn't work well together (there was a 6 inch gap between the mattress and headboard). When we called to tell them, the manager said he wouldn't exchange the bed boards for box springs and didn't care that we weren't happy with our $6,000+ purchase. The worst! Was told we would get our order last Saturday, the delivery driver never showed up (though they took a picture of our building but never called or KNOCKED ON THE DOOR). It took 8 phone calls to reschedule for today (following Thursday). Got a text an hour ago that they were 15 minutes away, followed by a phone call 45 minutes later informing me that our order was canceled. Now I'm being told it won't come till next Saturday. Asked for a refund and was advised that I would have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the store to call me to process the refund. Don't put yourself through the headache of dealing with this company. We purchased a new bed and dresser back in April 2022 from Ashley Home Furniture. We finally were scheduled for delivery on August 24th 2022. 4 months after purchase when told it would be 8 to 10 weeks! We were told THE DAY BEFORE the delivery that the dresser was on back order and would not be delivered until December 2022 even though ALL of the emails received from Ashley showed it was supposed to be delivered with the bed, so we emptied our old dresser, put clothes in boxes and gave the old one away! On 8/24 we waited for the bed to be delivered, , old bed removed and taken to the dump,, room empty as requested by Ashley so they could set up the bed. Delivery was scheduled between 3 and 7 PM. NO ONE SHOWED NO PHONE CALL, NOTHING! So I called the next morning and was told the delivery was canceled due to a damaged storage unit for the bed and that they could reschedule me for August 30th! WHAT THE HECK! Now we have no bed or dresser! Sleeping on the floor and clothes are in boxes! All because they promised delivery on 8/24 and that the room needed to be empty for them to set up! No compensation for the delay, nothing! Who knew if they were even going to call me today! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAVE! Beyond the Pale ineptness and incompetence is the only way I can describe our experience AFTER the sale. The sales person was very nice, but after the sale, the delivery was horrid and communicating with Corporate was incorrigible. My first experience when talking with management, they treated me with disrespect. No movement to make up for their obvious failure. They offered a 100.00 "Loyalty" card. -- Like I want to shop there again? What would 100.00 dollars get you in a furniture store? Twice, one of the pieces we ordered was damaged and they failed to tell us so that we could plan our day. The third delivery attempt they just dropped the ball and did not get it on the manifest. (they said there was an outstanding balance when there was not - we paid in full and in fact had the delivery charges reversed due to the previous screw ups) A month and a half AFTER the sale, still not all the furniture here and one piece needs to be repaired -- hinges so rusty on a drawer that it damaged the wood. Stain job looks like a 3rd grade school project done with finger paints. It's not just one store or particular manager, this goes to the top of management. We called and left a voicemail - no one even bothered to pick up or call back. We went all the way back to the store the next day - and got our price match with no questions asked. Zero stars!!! Ordered 1 chair and ottoman on 1/3, delivery to be on 2/18. 2/18 came and went, no delivery. I called several times with no response. Several days later got online and "chatted" and was told oh, it was rescheduled for 3/31, 40 days after the orginal delivery date, which was 6 weeks after we ordered it. Nobody ever called to cancel the delivery, nobody ever called to reschedule. Got a call today 3/25 saying that it is now scheduled for 4/9 and I will only receive the chair? These people take your money and give you product 3 months later? Pretty sure this company needs cash in order to increase their inventory and to keep their business afloat.
