I tried calling throughout the day for several days and was left on hold or told that they would call me back, no one ever called me back. The worst customer service - couldnt get any worse. The furniture is fine, just average stuff. But if you shop there just hope you dont have to call anyone. I called 9 times today, no answer 7 times - got disconnected on the other two when the person that answered said they were going to transfer me. So I went to the website and tried to "Chat" with a customer service person - its a robot for the first 10 questions then I got a "sorry" message and to try again later. All this for an order screw up that was no fault of mine - Go anywhere else - pay more even, it would be worth it! I purchased a new leather recliner that never worked. They would not let me refuse the broken new couch. They said I needed to schedule a service call and that they would come out and fix it. Probable just a loose wire. When the service technicians came out 2 weeks later they said "wow it is a bad motor. That never happened before. Guess you just have bad luck". They then said the motor had to be ordered. I did not want to keep the brand new broken couch. They said a new motor would have to be ordered and that it would only take a minute to fix it. Shame on me but I still ordered more furniture from them. When the furniture was delivered they sent the wrong color chair. Easy fix right, just take it back and send me the correct one. Oh no, they said I had to keep the chair and call the store and they would have it picked up and then a new one sent. So basically I had to store their merchandise in my house until they correct one could be sent. They also scratched my newly painted front door but did not own up to it. When I called to complain to the sales person who sold me the very poorly made furniture (he goes by MoMo which is short for Mohamed Mohamed) he answered his phone and said he was with a customer and would call me right back. I did not get a call. I then sent him a text and never replied. I know I have never worked anywhere that would be OK with that kind of service. He has never tried to call me back to apologize or try to make it better. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND FRUSTRATION AND GO TO JEROMES OR LIVING SPACES. I am legit surprised at the current rating of this store! I came to this Ashley HomeStore today with my husband and had a great experience. The staff on the floor were super friendly and happy to answer any and all questions. The layout is open and organized, and there is a pretty big selection. If I could give this shithole -10 I would!!! First, we went to the store in El Cajon, not Miramar, in Sept. And basically I was stockholder into buying a bed and base for 3k....only to be bullied into a 90 same as cash contract. Then at the 90 days of that shit contract I was told I still owed an additional 800$ for taxes!!! That weren't even put into tje sale of of bed when I bog it. This whole place is shit and if I could tell the world I will. Second, this place has the worst customer service. I was badgerd into a horrible Acceptance now contract, after I admitted to the sales reps I was running on 2 hours of sleep. They told me so many things so confusingly. They left us alone for 2 hours, then took us to finance. We got a Ashley brand bed base that broke 2 mos in. And apparently the company that makes the adjustable bed bases are so cheap, so shitty, that not only did it break after only 2 mos of use, but apparently there's So many beds broken that the parts have a 5 mos back order????? Like this shits been broke since Nov. I've called 100s of times and have been given the run around, I was told the parts take 3 weeks, but that was 3 mos ago!!!!. I have been told They won't even replace the base it until its attempted to be fixed, but if your supply is so shitty that there's a back log of supplies and parts that makes your customers wait months!!!!! My name is Melissa Zelenack and I'm a Disabled Female in San Diego, CA. On March 8, 2022 I entered into an Agreement with Todd Wanek's Stoneledge Furniture dba Ashley Homestore at 7770 Miramar Road, San Diego, CA. Todd Wanek is using Fraudulent Business Practices to Operate a Bait and Switch Scam. It's now July 2022 (4 months). I secured payment before Ashley's end of the contract was upheld through their Synchrony Financing Option. I trusted that I would be given New, Good Quality Furniture and that Ashley would honor the Manufacturer's and Extended Warranties. Instead, I received a Defective Mattress and Incorrect Pillows twice. When the mattress was delivered defective, I immediately went into Todd Wanek's Ashley Homestore, explaining the situation. Instead of honoring my Consumer Rights to a Full Refund, I was told I would have to keep the product until such time I was offered a replacement. I have made many requests to cancel my order. I have sent emails and they Ignore my contact. I visited the store and hand delivered a Formal Cancellation Letter and video recorded giving them the letter and also verbally stating my cancellation on the Video Recording. Ashley Homestore continues to Ignore my requests. Now, Ashley Homestore keeps calling to get me to schedule a delivery, even though I have provided multiple written and even verbal notices to cancel due to their Breach of Contract. Stoneledge Furniture/Todd Wanek dba as Ashley Homestore is using Fraudulent Business Practices, failing Local, State and Federal Laws in an Attempt to Victimize Me. I am entitled to a Full Refund under the guidelines of The California Unfair Practices Act +Section 17000 of the California Business & Professions Code and The Magnusom-Moss Warranty Federal Lemon Law. The California Unfair Practices Act Prohibits any unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business act or practice and unfair, deceptive, untrue Practices. A few things about Ashley Furniture. 1) You really have to do some investigation into what you are paying for a furniture item here. There is one price if you pay cash outright and a different price if you use 12, 24, 36 or 60 month financing. All well and good as you are paying for the financing one way or another, nothing is free. The problem here is the company that backs their Ashley Advantage credit card is not a company you wish to align yourself with....see below. 2) The company that they use to finance consumer purchases Synchrony Bank is not a company that I recommend aligning yourself with. Finance your furniture using ANY other credit. I financed a dining room table and chairs ...about 2,000 with the Ashley Advantage card. I paid the balance off in a year with no late payments. Recently a bought a home and a second car. With no warning whatsoever, the company closed my zero balance account. The way that this hurts me is it reduces my available credit, thus hurting my credit score. A nice thanks for doing business with them. I have accounts with Citibank, American Express, Capital One, Bank of America and Chase. None of these companies have closed my accounts. What scum bags. 3) Don't do business with Ashley Furniture or Synchrony Bank. Both companies are deceptive and when lend you an umbrella when the sun is shining but they will ask for it back when it looks cloudy outside. read more

I was charged an additional pair of upholstered rails for two different size beds. I have been trying to speak to someone since yesterday and no one seems to be able to help me...it is so disappointing. Aside from the extra pair of rails the foundation size is bigger than what I was told in store. ***Update*** spoke with Matt at Miramar store, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Beautiful showroom with TONS of furniture. Sofas, sectionals, beds, dining tables...and everything is set up is a way that is so pleasing to the eye. Ashley is doing something right. We came in looking for a new sofa and Nella guided us to wear we needed to be, gave us some info and her card and told us to give her a holler if we needed to find her. There furniture may look good BUT it does not last. Cheaply made. I had two draws that Look great but the parts that hold the draws are cheap plastic and broke off making the draws not align properly. Additionally the dining room table chairs had a cloth black cloth on the bottom that deteriorated. It did not effect the chair but pieces of black cloth started showing up on the floor. DO NOT BUY HERE. I purchased two accent chairs in store, paid $119 for assembly and delivery. They were delivered a few days later, IN BOXES. I had to assemble them myself (NOT easy). I called Customer Service that SAME DAY to ask for a refund for the assembly fee, since I did the work, after a LONG wait time, they answered and they said they submitted a case & someone would contact me within a few days to resolve it. (Not sure why they couldn't just refund it to me then & there). No one ever contacted me, so I called again a week later (more long wait times), and this time they said I had to call the store directly to get the refund. Long story short, it is now a full month later, and I still don't have a refund! They just keep saying they will open a case and someone will call me in 3-5 business days, but no one ever calls! Absolutly loved our memorial weekend shopping at this store with Mr Santoz. Of course we ended up with more items than intended but very impressed with quality of bedroom furniture and the mattress. Santoz was very professional and knowledgeable particularly about mattresses. He gave us enough space to browse but was present to answer our questions. Our fussy baby did not bother him and he spend enough time to take care of us. He helped us to get the maximum discount and the best deal. Of course the weekend store manager was cool and gave Santez the authorization for discounts. The transaction went smoothly and the items were delivered as scheduled. Had a horrible experience today. We went in and within 15 minutes decided on a couch (we had seen that one online and wanted to see it in person). Butch was awesome! He helped us right away, but for some reason it took an hour then get the paperwork going after he submitted it to the front desk. They did not treat their sales associate well and I really felt bad for the guy as he was really nice and helped us out. Then, we went to the bathroom. There was no toilet paper, paper towels, or soap. There was water damage in the bathroom and it was really dirty. To top it off as I was walking around the store waiting and trying to keep my 2 boys entertained, I turned a corner and walked into the corner of a bed, which they had covered over by a blanket, so I didn't see it was there. Do NOT buy furniture from Ashley Furniture Store. I paid an extra $100 for their "No Hassle Delivery" for a dresser and two nightstands to be delivered to my apartment and assembled by the delivery team in my bedroom. This "No Hassle" delivery is a complete joke. The two delivery guys left the furniture in their boxes in the middle of my living room and started to walk out of my apartment. When I told them I paid for the furniture to be assembled, the two delivery men told me it was not their problem and to call the store. They walked out, leaving my furniture unassembled. I contacted the store and a customer service agent created a case for me, in which I was supposed to hear back in 1-2 business days. After 3 business days, I called back to follow up and found that someone had closed the case. When I asked this customer service agent why someone would close the case, he stated the furniture was considered "self-assembly"... I asked the agent, how was I able to pay for assembly if they deemed the furniture self-assembly? He took back what he said and told me he reopened the case. He told me someone would contact me in another 1-2 business days. I told this customer service agent I wanted someone to contact me by the end of the day to set up a time for assembly as I had paid for. He claimed he emailed the delivery team to schedule the assembly of my furniture, but he did not supply me with email confirmation of this. I will be requesting a refund for this so-called "No Hassle Delivery" as the company did not follow through on their promise to assemble the furniture. Was very pleased with my purchase, specifically because I was told by Lorena that my sofa would be delivered in two days. I was on the fence about spending the money but she assured me that it would be delivered in two days. I was told that corporate would be calling us the following day to set up a time window for them to deliver it. They never called and when my girlfriend called the delivery department, they told her that the store and the delivery department were not associated. So my girlfriend called the store once more and was rudely shrugged off and told the earlier they could do was a week later than the initial delivery date. read more

we recently purchased a upscale love seat at the miramar location. sam the sales person was everything we we hoped for. we looked at a nuber of choices and chose a powered unit with the normal layback and head rest. this one also has lumbard support which my wife is finding that it helps with her back. sam did everything right, arranged for delivery and financing. the delivery came 2 hours early and i was still in my sleeping clothes. the delivery boss was not friendly ( may not speek english) and refused to remove our old chairs to the driveway the assist said " they are not furniture movers" even after i offered them a $ 100.00. sam found us an other pick up service that will take the two charis away for $ 100.00. read more

Wow after reading all of these reviews.. what I've gone through is almost exact to the T here. Horrible horrible customer service. We bought an entire bedroom and living set for our new condo and they confirmed the delivery for a Thursday and after being three hours late with no communication, they only brought the mattress. Then after hours of the trying to get a hold of customer service to NO avail, we had to contact the lady who helped us close the deal. Her day off and she went above and beyond to try to get ya our furniture. We were promised $200 off our order plus a $200 gift card to Ashley's Furniture, which we haven't heard anything about since the call. The delivery was then all going to be sent the next day. Next day comes and we sit around our empty house for hours with no answers or calls. Finally call our lady again, Joyce. She tells us that the truck is on the side of the freeway broken down and they will bring it in tomorrow. Well it's tomorrow... we are still waiting on our furniture and a confirmation or a phone call or ANYTHING. Fingers crossed this time. We bought a living room and two patio sets from Ashley furniture half a year ago, and have been really happy with the furniture. Recently, we bought a set for our loft and the couch wasn't able to fit in the space. The movers couldn't flip the couch to be horizontal and literally left it standing up (like the Titanic bobbing before it sunk)! We were furious and spoke with customer service at the store, who were extremely understanding and helped us find another furniture set. Mark, the Store Manager there, is a great example of exemplary management and customer service. He and his team turned what was going to be a one-star review into a five-star review. We will definitely continue to shop here thanks to the respect, diligence, and service we were shown! read more

My wife and I decided to go look at a new theater couch two seat sofa as a replacement for our current couch. We weren't necessarily planning to purchase anything at that time, but, Ashley had a storewide sale that made it hard to pass up. Our sales person was Lorena Vasquez-Fuerte. The entire time we shopped, we never felt pressured by Lorena to buy anything. Nowadays, that's a big deal (to not feel pressured). She let us walk around and look at and sit in sofas that we liked. She occasionally did come back to us to ask if we had any questions. The ones we did ask, She knew the answers to immediately. She helped guide us accordingly to items that were related to our questions. We landed on one we definitely liked. In addition, we found a 3-piece set that included a coffee table along with 2 end tables that matched well the couch. So, we made our purchase of the 4 total items. Delivery was scheduled for one week later. After we arrived home, my wife and I couldn't help but want to take further advantage of the sale they had. We contacted Lorena (at this point, we only wanted to interact with her for our purchases) and agreed upon meeting the next day. We diced to add an additional one person theater recliner and a 2-piece matching lamp set. Everything went smoothly with our second trip back. So, our weekend of just looking turned into a 2 person theater recliner, a 1 person recliner, 3 tables, and 2 lamps. Our delivery arrived within the specified day and timeframe that we were given. Our delivery people, Richard and Leo, were courteous and professional. They put the items in the requested area, then hooked up our couches and lamps to make sure they were in proper working order. Everything went quick and easy with the delivery. Also, the delivery guys definitely cared about our new purchases and were cautious so as not to damage anything. Overall, my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the entire experience at Ashley Furniture and have every intention to make our future furniture purchases there. WARNING!!!!!!! You may be cheated by this store like us. They are liars. We do NOT TRUST the store anymore. My husband and I came to visit the store and met a salesman. After going around, we had conversations to decide to buy a SET OF 3 PIECES Tables. During the conversations, we asked him about the price for the table set of 3 pieces, and he also confirmed us the price of that set of 3 pieces in 2 times, then we agree to buy the set of 3 tables with that price. However, on the delivery day, the store delivered only one table of the set to us. Immediately, we came to the store and told the manager the whole conversations between us and the salesman. The salesman was cheating us on selling the tables. The manager was so bad, too. He did not help us to resolve the problem. He did not refund the money to us or did not let us exchange to the other products. This is first time in America that we know a store does not allow customers to returns products. Even, they did not let us know their policies. We are sure  this store's policy is violating the US laws of protecting customers. We were so angry and very disappointed about this store. I came into Ashley to shop for kitchen table and Naz was amazing! He was so thorough and took the time to make sure our dining room set was exactly how we wanted it, and even let us get creative between chairs and stools. We actually had the pleasure of Naz helping us a few years ago and were thrilled to be greeted by him when we walked in. They have nice things but the delivery process was horrible including their customer service. My husband and I had to wait over a month to get our bedroom set. We specifically asked for delivery to be on a Saturday or Sunday. They messed up on the date. Then the guy who was doing the delivery got to my house five minutes after getting a call that he would be there in 20. My husband had to leave work and was on his way before we got a 20 minutes notice call. He spoke with the guy to let him know he was going to be there in 10 minutes (according to the delivery company they have to wait 15 minutes before they can leave) my husband got there and the guy was gone. We had to wait another week to get the things delivered. I'm never buying anything from Ashley's again because customer service was horrible. If you buy anything there make sure to get a copy of the delivery date. Also if you try to speak with a manager to make a complaint be ready to be on hold for 20+ minutes. read more

Well talk about a horrible swing of the pendulum. You can see my prior review. The in-store experience was great, but from there it's horrible. Unfortunately the regular box spring was too large to go up our stairs. Unfortunately this didn't stop the drivers from trying to force it and damaging my walls (see pics). They told us that a compact box spring would fit fine and they said it wouldn't be a problem to swap it out. They took the box spring back, but still installed the bed leaving black marks all over the upholstery (see pics). Here we are a week later. I have supplied all of the information requested to their customer service people. No one has come to fix my walls, no one has come to clean/fix the bed and they're saying the box spring will take until the end of the month to get. Forget it... They can come pick this bed up and refund my money. So absolutely frustrating that lack of attention and follow-up turned an otherwise great experience into a horrible one. Still on hold with customer service and now they're trying to quote some 72 hour return policy on returning the mattress that has passed... seriously they have got to be joking. The bed isn't even usable. Ya gotta love that I'm sure their policy it to deliver product and not damage property or the merchandise. Wow, I'm going to post because my experience with Ashely's, since it so greatly contrasts everyone else's. Just over a week ago I was in the market for a new sofa. I ended up selecting the "Martin" in oyster (see photo), which happened to be featured in the entrance of their store as well as on their website's homepage. I have to say I hadn't read the reviews here on Yelp until after placing my order, and so I was quite nearly deathly afraid of what sort of ordeal I was in for. But, I am relieved to say it was, though not stellar, no where near as traumatic. In fact, it was quite normal. Pat was my salesman, and he was helpful and humorous with all my nit-picky needs. The sofa is in perfect condition. Of course at nearly $700 the leather and craftsmanship isn't going to compare to that of a high-end leather sofa, which would run at least $1,000. But I am more than content with the style and comfort of this couch. The cushions are as firm as the store model (and I prefer firm to sinky, squishy cushions). There was one hang-up I did experience, where the at the end, when Pat turned me over to the accounting office. I noted on the final paperwork that they mis-entered my phone number, and the guy corrected it with a pen. But then it turned out that that hadn't helped because later, when it came time to call to notify me of my scheduled window of delivery time, they had the same wrong number. Either way, everything was scheduled as planned and the couch was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time. (I was scheduled between 8am-12pm, and they came at about 930ish). The sofa came wrapped in a protective material and the two delivery men were very efficient. So all in all, I'd say I'd had a fairly decent experience and wouldn't necessarily discourage others from coming here. However, I did investigate their BBB reviews. It seems strange that they have two different accounts, one with A- and no complaints listed and the other with like several hundred complaints. Terrible, terrible, terrible. The first issue was the day after purchasing a bed I looked at my receipt thinking, wow that came out about a hundred more than I expected. Sure enough, I discover the salesperson added on a 5yr warranty that we NEVER discussed. After making a call and threatening to cancel my order they refunded it. The first delivery of the bed was damaged so we refused delivery (8/2). They called a day or so later and said it would be the end of August before they could schedule the next delivery--NOT acceptable because we already gave away our other bed to get it out of the way....we complained and they miraculously found the ability to reschedule the second delivery for 8/7. A few days later they sent me a text saying the delivery timeframe would be between 9-1 on 8/7 (Sunday), I confirmed and planned my precious day off around their 4 hour delivery window. 1pm comes and goes so I call. The girl who answers the phone informs me my delivery window was changed to 2:15-6:15. WHAT? No call, no text...the girl is completely unapologetic and says "sometimes they run late". Yeah well, how about a phone call??? So here I sit on a beautiful day waiting on Ashley furniture to get their shit together. read more

So, after I posted a review about my disintegrating sofa I communicated with someone from Ashley's pursuant to comment made by him. Upshot is that I was offered $100 discount at Ashley's. Why would I ever purchase any thing there again? I'd have to be an idiot! read more

I couldn't say enough good things about my experience shopping at Ashley. I just purchased my first house and the renovations have been tiresome. It finally came time to buy some furniture for the living room! We found a living room set that I immediately fell in love with, which is impressive because I had been searching everywhere. Andre, the sales manager, was helping us. He was great! So helpful and friendly. He got us the best deal he could and we left feeling great about the purchase. The delivery was flawless and speedy. From sales to delivery everything was better then we ever thought possible. The sales rep AHMED SULTAN helped me and my husband pick out the perfect sectional package despite him having limited details about our place and no pictures. We went to 3 other major furniture store chains and each store attempted to smear Ashley's and talk us out of shopping there. Now we understand why. Ashley's prices are the best within the industry and have amazing customer service and warranties that out-beat anyone else in the business. We were in and out of the store in less then an hour and it was delivered within 3 days of us ordering. I will always choose Ashley's over any other competitors store and have already recommended them to all of my family and friends. It's best to go into the store to look at the furniture and get sales help. Ask for Zac, he is so knowledgeable and detailed. If he doesn't have answers he will get them for you. He doesn't just sell you something and walk away. He makes sure you are happy. I also can't say enough about Virginia. I think she might live there. :) Everytime I went in she was back behind the scenes doing a thousand things at a time, never once showing her stress. Just happy to help. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!!! They only want your money they don't care if your furniture is scratch when you receive it and their customer service in the store is very unprofessional I went in and purchased a bedroom set and dining table and was not given thorough information on the furniture I was purchasing. When it arrived home the dining table had a huge scratch and Ashley furniture's customer service at miramar in management could care less than my table was scratched and only offered me a gift gift to keep shopping!! I will NEVER shop at Ashley furniture ever and will let all military families to not trust that company for furniture. Living spaces has a Way better selection and amazing customer service. read more

Service was good just the couch sucks. I mean just awful. Felt nothing like it did in store. The warranty doesn't cover anything and after a year the couch just kept getting worse. We finally had to buy another one. Thousands of dollars. That's not easy to come by. We spent years saving to buy something nice for our living room and it was horrible. Springs poking through. Friends would rather bring a kitchen chair into the living room. You'd get up from sitting on it and your back and neck would be in pain. So frustrated and disappointed and really upset about the wasted money. The new couch is super comfortable but doesn't fit the space well. So much work shopping for around for these things. Just exhausting. Our last couch made it 10 years and through several military moves, including cross country. This couch was terribly poor quality and there's nothing the store or warranty will do about it. On the good side it's been discontinued. read more

If you need a helping hand, please seek Edgar because he went above and beyond with assisting me. This store has quite a few pieces of furniture that ranges from Mid-Century, industrial, to rustic/bar, etc. Unfortunately for me though, they didn't have anything of modern, high gloss/lacquer finish. There were some pieces I definitely considered though. read more
