Horrible!!!! It's been three months and I still haven't received my couch and it's been pushed out farther now with no end in sight! They are corrupt. I bought this couch during COVID and they quoted me 6 weeks knowing that and clearly that was a lie. I get a few week delays but 3MONTHS!!!! Never ordering from here again. If I don't get my couch by the end of November (which will be 4 months delayed) I'm cancelling. I have also contacted main customer service number weekly since the beginning of sept for status updates and I get nothing from the head team other than "our apologies". The customer service line is horrific. I finally got someone to actually "send an email" yesterday but who knows if that actually happen. read more

We ordered furniture on a Sunday in store and guaranteed delivery for Friday. We never got notification of a delivery time the day before but I figured it was a holiday so that was why. I called Friday morning and said our order was never ready for delivery and that the earliest they could do was the following Tuesday. We already had our old furniture removed and we're hosting 15 people at our home. Nobody was able to do anything to remedy the situation. NOEL, the store manager on that day hung up the phone on me. I said I wanted a discount on the purchase and they was denied too. I said I wanted to cancel the order and that I would only get store credit back. This is a joke of customer service. Take your business elsewhere because these people do not know what they are doing. read more

Listen to the other reviews. I wish I did. Standard setup: We moved to the area, needed a couch. Looked around the neighboring stores and found one we liked at Ashley. The typical commission based salespeople hovering everywhere was a nuisance but nothing new. When it came time to buy they seemed totally confused by their own systems. I had to fill in address on a form, an iPad, and then recheck both. Our salesman swore up and down that the fine print quotes for delivery were not true and that it would be only 10 days. He grabbed a manager who gave us a whole thing about his knowledge of the inventory pipeline. I was skeptical that he had any clue but he was so overly confident and we were exhausted from the 20 rounds of address rechecks and just wanted to be done. It was 30 days. The salesman acted like he mixed up the dates because of poor eyesight (a very clumsily delivered lie for several reasons). The first delivery was clearly broken and I sent it back. Second looks ok but it seems clear it will last only a short time before this item is worn and broken. Clueless salespeople, bad logistics, low quality stuff. As I said, just trust the reviews. There are 10 better stores within like a mile. read more

Unbelievably bad customer service experience; will NEVER shop at Ashley HomeStore again. Have never experienced the kind of arrogant, anti-customer treatment from a store manager the way we did from Sterling store manager Kevis Davis. After several unsuccessful attempts to get resolution over the phone, we went to the store because our as of yet to be delivered order was already 11 days past the "estimated warehouse" delivery date and almost 3 weeks from when the salesperson said we should expect it. We dealt with store manage Kevis Davis who right away was condescending and rude. We told us that the "estimated date" on our receipt was in fact just an estimate and that our item was popular and that there were several orders ahead of us. After my wife and I asked for either a refund of the delivery fee or a cancellation and full refund, Kevis went back to his computer and after a few minutes, came over and tried to make us feel guilty because he was moving us up by bumping someone who placed their order before us. He did offer to provide a $50 refund towards the delivery fee and when we said we wanted to cancel the order, he refused, stating it was against company policy. Oh by the way, Kevis did admit that had we not come in and say something, there's no telling when we would have gotten our furniture. The dialogue then got heated as his condescending and extremely customer unfriendly attitude incensed my wife and I and we got to the point where we wanted nothing to do with Kevis or the store and wanted to leave immediately. It took us an additional 10 minutes for one of the front desk people to process the credit because this person was on the phone with someone who called during our conversation and none of the other 10 front desk or sales people who were sitting around on their cell phones, could have processed the credit. When my wife asked if someone else could process the credit, Mr. Davis raised his voice and very rudely stated "She is capable of multitasking." To add insult to injury: We were told that we will get an automated recording the night before the delivery date, telling us what 3 hour window delivery would be made the next day and Kevis Davis told that there was no to schedule a delivery date and/or time frame. I'm not sure how flexible Ashley is with their employees but most people can't just rearrange their next day work schedule when finding out the night before what the delivery times will be. While Ms. Davis has among the poorest customer service skills of any store manager I've ever dealt with, at the end of the day, it's Ashley's way of doing business (estimated delivery dates that no one is accountable for, no refunds on furniture that hasn't even been sent to warehouse, etc.) that made this a horrible shopping experience and will keep us far away from this or another other Ashley HomeStore. read more

Ordered two sets of furniture, one was ordered 3 months in advance and the second set was ordered 1.5 months in advance. We had to wait 5 months in order to receive our first set and it came wrong which it had to be sent back. We lost our money ($6000) on the first set since it was final sale and now there's no due date for our second set, we called and apparently their manager is always in a team meeting and never returns our calls. Our mistake from buying from them again. Lost our money, wasted time, and have an empty living room and basement. read more

From the time I walked in this place I was followed like a hawk. Which is not the best browsing experience. I did find a nice couch that I liked though and while I asked about some options I was asked to wait a few minutes while she looked into it. While I was sitting there waiting I thought I would check out the same couch online. I find it, the same couch, love seat and chair, THE SAME ONE, same part number, same manufacturer (Ashley) online for less than half the cost! I would have spent over $4k in the store if I bought this, yet it was all online for about $2k. When I asked about this she told me it was probably fake and I should buy the one in the store. It was not fake, they just wanted to charge me double to make some extra cash. I know there is a huge markup on this stuff, but that is crazy. So buyer beware, if you see something you like try to find it online before you commit to purchasing anything. read more

$3000 for a Dining set that was available for $1k cheaper the same day on the website. Have been trying to get a refund for over 6 months now and the store manager, Sherita, has stopped responding to any correspondence. Opened a BBB claim and they will not respond to them either. The next step is to sue for the money back, as the item still hasn't been delivered from an original promise of 5 weeks (ordered last October). I'm paying interest on a loan that I don't have the item for and I've hit a wall in terms of communication. Please do not ever go and shop in this store, either just order something online or go somewhere else - they are purely in it for some quick cash. read more

Honestly my whole process with Ashley has been a pain. I hope my experience is an anomaly as I don't understand how they can be a functioning company if not. I ordered my furniture in early January. Got a call a week later that the rug I ordered was discontinued, went back into the store to pick another. Got a call a few weeks after that that my table set was discontinued. Went into the store, couldn't find anything I liked, but selected something. Then called a week after to see if I could cancel the table set - was told the manager needed to approve that and he'd call me. Never heard back. Called a few weeks after that (in March now, two months later) to ask about status of my order. Was told I would be called on a Tuesday morning. Tuesday came and went without a call. Had to call a third time today to follow up again... going on 2.5 months now without furniture. Apparently the piece they are waiting on this time around is different than last time I talked to them (??). I'm frustrated to say the least. Even if the process was going to take a while, it'd be helpful if they called me back when they said they would. EDIT: I received my furniture about a week after writing this review on 3/14. In total it was about a 2.5 month wait. I'm very happy with what I purchased but really wish Ashley would smooth out their customer service experience. read more

We visited the Dulles VA store this evening. I want to buy 4 sets of furniture but I walked out with a bitter taste in my mouth. The first salesperson, he started with us, instead of looking at what we need just moved on to another couple. By then I spent 1.5 hr finalizing my items but once I told him what I need he move away from me with no excuse or reason. Later we requested another lady salesperson, she is also dealing with 2 but she was very rude with a red jacket. Seems like she had more than enough sales. She is reminding me Black Friday is only today- when I ask what is the sale and how long it will continue. She seems reckless and too pathetically arrogant. I told the manager the same but she did listen to me but did not even call to make an apology. I walked out from there right into Havertys and bought all the furniture I need - worth of 15000$ - furniture. I don't write reviews but this behavior of such careless treatment of customers made me review this. Ashley's staff attitude sucks big time. I might buy online but I never visit this store in Dulles again. Just an update - ordered the same bed, I want to buy it in the store, online for 150$ less! Wow! They just try to get your payment and they dont care about the delivery or customer service.(They also charge you full before shipping which is against industry laws ) Ordered full bedroom set on sept 12 immediately charged my card for around 2300 $ then just delays and delays and now it says Feb2021 . When tried to cancel ,total unprofessionalism , they are saying we have requested cancelation , and telling a story hard to digest like we have a team which approves etc . They cannot simply do a refund transaction can you believe it ?? almost criminally neglecting multiple attempts to contact , following up with them everyday from 11/30 , i am really horrified by seeing this in USA that to in DC metro area, they are acting like there is no customer protection, no law . I am seeing lot of honest reviews on similar lines , this business should be flagged and should be prosecuted for playing with hard earned money of customers . And all customers who have canceled their order should get their money back immediately.Dont buy anything which they are saying has wait time , your money will be danger, its most likely an equivalent of scam! if you already have an order ask abt cancelation you will see their real Colors . update on my review, I was told the couch would be available Jan 9th, I do not get a call so Jan 14th I call to have the couch delivered, the customer service here is awful just keep in mind if you are buying furniture from here that you will have to be very diligent because you can't rely on them for anything except taking the commission. They sent the wrong couch and won't even follow up at all and would've let me have the couch I did not pay for that is $400.00 cheaper than the one I paid for. read more

My wife and I purchased a dual reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture Store at the Sterling VA location. We purchased the sofa in mid-November, and it was delivered to us prior to Thanksgiving. One week later the control panel for the sofa button was stuck in the on position and would not release. We unplugged the sofa so as not to burn out the motor. We contacted customer service; they asked us for a picture and an explanation, and we provided as they asked. Customer service said they would order the new part and as soon as it arrives contact them so they can schedule a technician to replace the part. After 5 weeks and no part arrived, we called customer service several times with no status and finally they advised us that the part was coming from China and it would take 2 more weeks. The part arrived and we contacted customer service, and they said a technician would be in touch in 48 hours to schedule a time to come out. After a few days I called again because no technician reached out. Customer service said they have the work order in and that we would be contacted. Now we are at 5 weeks for the part and another 2 weeks waiting for the technician. It is just before Christmas, and I received an email from the technician to schedule a date for them to come out. The two dates I was given were February 15th or 16th. Now we have to wait 2 more months before our unusable sofa will be fixed. Again, we were only able to use it for 1 week. I called customer service several times, as now I wanted them to remove the couch and be refunded my money (approximately $3000.00). Customer service said all they can do is place the work order in. I told them that I will go to the store I bought the sofa from. The person at customer service said, "They won't be able to help you". SO, I went anyways and this was the last week in December. I spoke with the manager at the store and explained my situation as we were now approaching 8 weeks without a workable sofa. This was after another customer was complaining about dirty furniture being delivered to their house. The customer service liaison was also at the store, and she advised the manager to email their corporate office with the explanation and to indicate I wanted a full refund for the sofa because I was going to eventually have an unusable sofa for 3 months. They let me know that they should have a response very soon and I can wait or if I have something to do and then come back to the store and discuss the response. I have now waited 10 days and no response. I have messaged the store manager wanting an update, the first time he indicated he hasn't heard anything back, the second message I have not received a response from the manager and now it's three days waiting and now writing this review. I am now 10 weeks without a workable sofa. No communication from Ashley furniture corporate nor the store in Sterling VA. This is the most unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced. To spend approximately $3000 on a sofa that broke 1 week later. I would advise never to take your business to Ashley Furniture. Their customer service lines have call center individuals that don't help, managers that don't follow through, customer liaison that don't follow through and a corporate office that has failed also. Of course, I will continue to get this resolved, however, I needed to take this step to maybe open the eyes of the corporate office on how their company is failing. Less than 1 Star Rating read more
