I would give this place a negative if possible. Giving a one star is too generous. This place is a scam and would never ever go back. We had two salesman tried to ripped us off and they lied about everything, even lied about the delivery date. My boyfriend and I purchased over 10K worth of furniture on 09/6/2019 to furnish our new home and our experience there was the worse. Evan tried to sell us a king mattress for $1100, when in fact it was less than $500 online. The second and third time we went there, we worked with Jacob. Jacob was helpful, but also a scam artist. He would make you think that he is giving you a good deal.. some extra discounts, but in fact they were the online prices. He gave us quotes on all the items that we liked, but charged us different prices at the end. He told us the protection plans is $299.99 for the sofa, then charged us $399.99. He over charged us on 3 other items and I had to tell him to fix it. Once he have made the sale, he is no longer helpful or answer your calls. It was a nightmare trying to cancel an order, a nightmare trying to have them to correct the shipping address. Took them two days to get it corrected, which is ridiculous. Customer services there is the worse as well. Once they have your sale, they don't care about the service they provide. I asked for a copy of my invoice but never received it. We just moved and went to the store looking for furniture in early Aug. They were having pretty good sales that day and we ended up buying nearly 10k worth of stuff. The sales man, Jacob, was helpful then and promised us that one of the items in our list could take a while since it's new but he will get other pieces delivered to us first. We waited 3 weeks and never received any updates from them so I called. They said my items won't all be in until the end of September 23rd(OMG!) and they won't delivery until everything is in. I contacted my salesman and asked him what was going on because he promised earlier delivery for items that are in and that was when he said I will be charged an additional $165 if I want them early which I did not want to have to pay. I asked him to work on it for me and he just gave me the store phone number and asked me to just talk to the manager.. go figure! Comes Sept 22nd, I still have not received any delivery confirmation call so I called and they said my stuff have not come in and I have to wait another week and the wear house will call me. I waited another week and of course no one called. I called and finally got my delivery date of Sept 27th, nearly 2 months after I purchased the items. On the delivery day, delivery guys told me that the sales person did not order all the parts of my bed and they cannot assemble because of the missing parts. I called customer service and they told me they will send the issue to the store and they will call me. NOTHING, no one called. I had to call and they said they saw the notes and will call me right back with the results. I waited. NO ONE CALLED BACK! I had to call back again and they said my items won't be in until the second week of October!!! WHAT?!? I asked to speak to a manager and of course, there was no manager on site. I asked to speak to the first in command and of course, she was busy and I was promised she will call me back. Again, NO ONE CALLED BACK. Ashley, how bad can you be? You charged my credit card the day of purchase, no communications, bad service, I had to call to what feels like 100's of time. No one was willing to help and of course MISTAKES! If you don't want me to have the furniture then don't lie and sell them to me! Don't do this to your customers, it's not nice. I don't have time to deal with your game. Get your act together and be responsible for things you and your salesmen promise. If I can give it less than one star I would. I will need more furniture but I will NOT be going back to your store. Worst service I have ever had for anything in my entire life. --WAITED 4 MONTHS-- for part of my furniture and then --ANOTHER 6 MONTHS-- until I got a refund for the rest. I called them so many times and they would not let me contact the manager. Finally after 9 MONTHS I got a hold of the manager and they would not do anything to make up for not getting my furniture after ordering. Then it moved to September, then to early October, then to late October, now the estimated date is mid-November! ***BUYER BEWARE*** I, as many others previously have stated, am having issues with getting my furniture delivered on time. I tried to cancel and get a refund since they're several months behind the promised time at this point and I can only get store credit.. Great so I can order other stuff and never receive it. I didn't even really need it at a certain time, but don't know what to do at this point except maybe contact BBB. So if you buy something here there is no promise when you'll get it but they'll have no problem taking your money. Another thing no-one has brought up in the terms is the manufacture warranty is 6 months. That is included in every purchase whether you buy their protection plan or not. But guess what? That plan STARTS as soon as you buy it. So if they deliver it 6 months later and it breaks the next day. Tough luck. Oh unless you buy their warranty plan of course. Bottom line up front, you must be okay with waiting 6+ months to receive your furniture. My advice to managers - set proper expectations to your customers. I understand why you don't cause no one would shop there, but this is crazy. I doubt I will get a response, but if I do I don't want to contact your care team. I purchased a new bedroom set for my daughter, and living room furniture for the new house. Delivery was promised July 8, 2019. That date came/went and no word from Ashley Furniture. After several phone calls to Ashley Furniture, I was told by the distribution center that the were refusing to deliver my daughters bedroom set (she is sleeping on the floor) because the couches weren't in yet. Repeatedly I was told that they couldn't do a split delivery, that they would have a manager contact me, and other nonsense - providing pathetic customer service. After FOURTEEN phone calls - I finally spoke to "Kevis" who said he was the store manager, who said he had pulled all of my receipts and had all of the items at the distribution center and would have the items delivered 7/17/2019. After furnishing an entire household with Ashley Furniture 9 years ago, I had returned to Ashley for this purchase -- only to realize that I had made a HUGE MISTAKE. Kevis told me that these delays were "industry standard" and that I should't get upset. Apparently this is a daily occurrence for Ashley Furniture. Had I known there was going to be a delay - I would have made other arrangements, but the AWFUL customer service from Ashley Furniture at the Sterling, VA store never even let me know what was going on. They customer service AFTER you buy the furniture is TERRIBLE. Very rude! They sold me a protection policy for 99 usd for the table saying a technician would come over and varnish and maintain it. The table chipped within a year given the poor quality (it's practically made out of saw dust). Buyer beware! I have been assisting my elderly father long distance in purchasing a bed and mattress because I know that the sad truth is seniors get taken advantage of. My experience with this store has been horrendous. I needed to make several phone calls between my father and the store because of all the issues that came up. Items indicated online were not available at this location, got discontinued over the weekend forcing us to consider replacement, and one item even became unavailable overnight (between store closing and opening the next day). The store would not remove his old, clean, thin vinyl mattress. The store kept quoting me prices that were higher than advertised. Replacement suggestions for things that were discontinued were hundreds of dollars more...even the quoted delivery price got hiked by $100 from my first call to payment. It took hours of calling every 10 minutes to reach someone. Messages were not returned. Notes left by one associate for the person drawing up the invoice were riddled with errors. If I am so angry and frustrated, I can only imagine what my 90+ year old father would have gone through. Don't bother shopping here unless you really like wasting your money or just enjoy buying crap that won't hold up. Sure, the salespeople are nice but they're salespeople - they're supposed to be. The furniture is poor quality and the warranty is absolutely worthless, if you happen to get a piece of furniture that you need to contact them about (and you will, because their stuff is crap), you're better off commenting on social media or yelp, it's the fastest way to get a response but dont get your hopes up. You see a lot of responses on here from Deannie F. but the responses are signed by Brenda, pretty common with the shell game these guys play - I've had the "pleasure" of dealing with Deannie and I can assure you that she will talk over you, lie, and stall like a champ. Then she'll pass the file off to someone else to continue the same cycle, so do yourself a favor and don't even get caught up in it, these guys are professionals at not delivering any sort of customer service. Their entire "customer service" department is about denying that there's an issue to start with, they'll drag the process out, lie about what they can and can't do and then throw their technicians under the bus all so they don't have to do anything about their shoddy products. My fiancé and I bought a sofa from this store. We worked with Andre, who said delivery would take "about 2 weeks." The sofa did not arrive until about 5 weeks later, which was not an issue (but certainly could have been for any other person without furniture). However, the sofa which arrived was not the sofa which we ordered. This is when the unpleasant experience began. I called and spoke with a salesman named Monty, who was very nice and helpful and told me he would let Andre know about the issue. I received a call from Andre, who had a rude attitude, proceeded to tell me that the sofa I got is absolutely the sofa I ordered and that "he has been working there for 15 years so he knows what he is doing." When asked if the store (or Andre) could have simply made a mistake and ordered the wrong sofa, Andre replied that it was not possible that he made a mistake. When I asked to speak with a manager, Andre said he was not available but that Andre would speak with him. I then asked for the manager's name and Andre mumbled a name and then hung up on me. Sitting in my living room with a sofa I did not order, I called the store's customer service line for help. I spoke with Danielle, who was very nice and told me they would be able to assist. Danielle told me I would receive a call from the manager of the store by close of business that day. I never received a phone call and no further action has been taken by the store to assist. Overall, Monty from sales was great, as was Danielle. Andre had a halfway decent attitude about selling us something, but a terrible attitude once the store had our money and there was a problem. We have had the absolute worst experience with Ashley Furniture especially this location. We ordered a $4000 dollar bedroom set back in December of 2020 it's almost October and still our bed set is not ready. When trying to cancel our order today we had the displeasure of dealing with the General Manager Wayne Eadie. Our initial delivery was scheduled for January but that got pushed back to March which is understandable but October is completely frustrating and irritating. While Wayne Eadie accused us of not having been ready for the delivery which is false, and accused us of receiving phone calls and telling them we were not ready for delivery which is also false. Wayne Eadie, Ashley should be ashamed they have someone like him running a store while not listening to us, arguing with the customer, and accusing us of false communications (the girl working the customer service desk then clarified he was wrong), and walking away from us the paying customers. We purchased a sofa here about 18 months ago and it has been a nightmare to deal with them. First, the workers dropped the sofa off the back of the truck (my wife watched them drop it) and claimed it never happened. When we showed them the damage, they said since we purchased a floor model, it was already there still denting they dropped it. When we purchased the sofa we bought a multi year extended warranty. In October my wife called to enquire what was needed for a claim. They said they needed a serial number and description. We got busy and didn't follow up (older parents, kid in college, holidays, new job and lots of stuff). My wife obtains all of the information and calls the only to find out that since we didn't call back, the claim would be denied. They are claiming they sent information but we cant find it. We bought from them because we thought it was a national company with good service. We now know that it is a name and this group is owned locally. I bought chairs. The chairs were suppose to be here on 11/16. In time for Thanksgiving. Its thanksgiving. I do not have chairs. They will not let me cancel the order (even though I do not have my chairs). They want to give me the display (very used) chairs but with no discount. They are good at taking money, they are not good at giving you the product. As far as transactions go, this is not a transaction. In summary, do not buy from here if you actually want furniture. I DO NOT recommend shopping this Ashley Homestore if you want a pleasant shopping experience. It is not individual sells associates that I have encountered that are the problem, they have actually been very nice. The problem is the nasty and rude sales manager. I am not sure what type of training she's had to "close the deal" or if she thinks she playing good cop/bad cop with the sales people, but she has a horrible, unpleasant disposition. I encountered her on 2 different occasions. Because of her nasty disposition and attitude today about matching a price that I was quoted at the Falls Church store, I told her she was going to lose a sale for the VERY NICE salesperson and she basically said she did not care. And when I told her I would just go to the Woodbridge location, she then told me that "they will not help you, they will not help you" because "we are the same." I then asked her in a very calm, inquiring voice "why are you being an asshole" and losing the sales for the salesperson. To which she became very upset and said I "needed to leave her salesfloor." I asked her why did I have to leave and said I'm not finished with my purchase why would I leave. She walks away saying if you don't leave I am calling the police. I said you can call the police because I have done nothing wrong. She then proceeds to weaponize the police by calling the police on me because of a 3-4 minute interaction. I know. I'm sure you are thinking that has to be more to this story but I promise there is not. No raised voices. No threats. No nothing. Just her being nasty and me asking her why she was being an asshole. So of course the police come (I wait. Oh, but when I go to wait in my car another sales person runs out and takes a picture of my license plate because I guess they wanted to report my "crime" and identification to the police if I were leaving "the scene." By the way, this crime scene photographer was NOWHERE NEAR the conversation beween the 2 of us. SMH). The police come and stay about 6-10 minutes because there was no reason to involve them in the first place and they leave. Anyway, although my sales person was lovely (and VERY confused by the manager's actions as well. She apologized but said she was going to walk away after a few minutes of staying with me because "she didn't want to get in trouble" which I understood.) I would not recommend spending 1000s of dollars on furniture from a store managed by someone with no interpersonal skills and who will weaponize the police because she doesn't like people naming her behavior and horrible customer service. I called corporate and explained, and corporate, like the police, said it should have never escalated to her calling the police. I agree. I'm actually still confused by the very brief interaction and I still don't have a couch. I have been a LOYAL Ashley customer for years. The saleswoman, Brittany, accurately projected the delivery date and we did receive the furniture before the Christmas holiday. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! Last July I purchased a bed for the house I was buying in August. They told me it was backordered due to covid delays, but since we didn't need it right away; we proceeded with the purchase. We were told that the bed would come into the warehouse by August 24th and that we would be contacted for delivery at that time. That did not happen. When we called in September, we were told we would be contacted for a delivery in October. We did receive a call and were given a window of time in October for the delivery. That morning the status showed delivered, but we did not receive our bed. We called and they said that the bed rail came in not to their satisfaction and would have to be re-ordered. We were told we would hear from them once it had come in. A few weeks later, they scheduled a delivery date again with us, but the next day called to say that again the rail would have to be re-ordered. This went on for months. We had to call for status updates and we did not receive the bed until January. We were told that for our trouble, they would credit the $169.99 delivery fee and give us a $150 store credit. As of today, April 5th, we have still not received the refunded delivery cost. Every time we call, we are told it has been processed but they will process it again... but nothing happens. The shopping experience and delivery service were fine. The people in the store were friendly and helpful. My mother chose a sofa that she liked and the pillows on the sofa complemented it well. When the sofa and pillows were delivered, the pillows were much larger than the ones we saw displayed in the store showroom and they overpower the sofa (it's more of a love seat size. I contacted the store and also customer care and explained the situation -neither one was willing to exchange the large pillows for the smaller pillows. Customer care told me the pillows that were delivered are the ones that come with the sofa. However, the store displayed the sofa with the smaller pillows which fit much better. When I explained that to the store and to customer care they said there is nothing they can do. Disappointing to be misled. Never again. Sales guy Damon swore to us that furniture would be delivered by 8/29. Even when we questioned that it said warehouse wasn't getting it until 8/30. He "talked to manager" and there wouldn't be any issues. Well here we are 8/30 and the stuff isn't going to arrive until 9/4. If sales is going to flat out lie about delivery times like this they should not be in business. We changed the sofa and loveseat model we wanted SPECIFICALLY to something that we were assured would deliver earlier as we have NO FURNITURE after moving. It's been 3 weeks of this and so we wanted something fast. 3+ weeks for a generic big box sofa set is absurd, and lying straight to a customers face about when they'll get it is even worse. This is called predatory sales and unacceptable in about 99% of the sales industry. Customer service is no help. I wanted to cancel the order, they wouldn't let me. Lucky for me, I have a great credit card company that actually has customer service. Had a very bad experience buying furniture from this store. They partially delivered the dining set and never delivered the rest. Waited for over a month and finally came to know that everything else is cancelled. Did not communicated that it was cancelled. I will not recommend this store to any of my friends. read more

If I could give Ashley HomeStore zero stars, that's what they would receive. I made the mistake of financing through Ashley with the use of their credit card. I bought a sofa and coffee table and protection plan on both. I received the sofa I ordered on time. It had a couple issues, but nothing worth spending my time on. The coffee table I ordered however, did not come at all. I was told it was on back order and would take a month to 6 weeks. Four months later, I decided to cancel that order and purchase a coffee table elsewhere. When I tried to receive a refund on the protection plan for the coffee table I never received, I was directed to the credit card company, who then directed me to the billing department, who then directed me to the store who then directed me to the billing department etc. no call backs no concern or motivation to help. This went on for 6 months. I'm ready to make my last payment now, but still can't get anyone to refund my protection plan on the coffee table. I have never worked with such incompetent companies. If you feel you're getting a deal when you finance with Ashley DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Once you sign on the dotted line they're finished with you. read more

In summary, I received damaged furniture. Still trying to remediate the situation. This is extremely frustrating. See the full timeline of details below. Purchasing the bedroom set was easy on 9/3/16. They gladly accepted my money. Delivery date was slated Wednesday 9/14/16. Call them that morning and they said it has not arrived but furniture comes throughout the day so expect a call. No call on Wednesday. I ended up having to delay my new adjustable base and mattress delivery that was to come that Thursday 9/15/16 from another place. That Thursday night I called them again and was advised my furniture would now arrive next Wednesday 9/21/16. Thus, I had to delay my mattress and adj base until 9/22/16. My furniture arrives 9/21/16 from Ashley. At initial glance everything looks good and the style is great. However, then I see the damage. The nightstand is cracked, one of the bed rails is chipped, and finish/luster from one side of the footboard has been stripped. I took my photos and also had this pointed out to the delivery guy who took some photos and said it would have to be handled by customer care. I emailed customer care that Wednesday night 9/21/16. I got an email back Saturday 9/24/16 that someone would call by Tuesday 9/27/16 from the Service Department. I had waited until 9/28/16, that Wednesday, and left a voicemail as well as an email to Customer Care since no one had followed up. Customer care follows up Sunday 10/2/16 that someone should be following up from the Service Department by this week. They call Thursday night 10/6/16 and come out to see the furniture the next day, 10/7/16. Service Department concurs furniture is damaged and needs to be replaced. At this point I just want a partial refund. Called up the Ashley Furniture sales rep and expressed my displeasure. I do not want them to replace the broken items and end up damaging my new adjustable base or mattress. Moreover, I do not want to wait weeks on end for furniture delivery. I plan to go to the store tomorrow and speak with a manager. read more
