Another little hole in the wall in Fredericksburg, VA that has shown me that FBurg really has some great little restaurants. You can get some tasty Chinese, Thai, Korean, and/or sushi here and when we were there last week we tried three of the four. I'm a sucker for Thai food and sushi so I ordered a Yellowtail and scallion roll as an appetizer and Thai basil chicken for my meal. My coworkers also ordered Hunan Chicken, Red Curry Chicken, and Drunken Noodles. Once again we ALL liked our meals...though we had a bit of a service problem when it took almost 40 minutes for the Hunan Chicken to come to the table...thus the reason for the loss of one star. Food was great, but they should have taken the Hunan Chicken off the bill. This was the first time I had a yellowtail/scallion roll and it was REALLY tasty and fresh and they didn't overwhelm me with rice-nice balance. What I really liked about this place was simply how busy they were at lunchtime...looked like a lot of regulars, which tells me they are pretty consistent with their quality and taste. Someday I will actually learn that I have to order my food Thai spicy and not just spicy. Give Asia Cafe a shot...you'll enjoy your meal. read more

I have supported this establishment on and off for 10 years now. I am not one of those people who gets super grossed out if I find a piece of hair in my food but tonight was different. Tonight I was told my takeout would be ready in 40-45 mins (typically it only takes 20 mins) but I really didn't mind because they were probably very busy. With that being said, I found THREE pieces of hair in my food! This was the first time this has happened to me. They did remodel and redecorate and that makes it even better. They provide a variety of Asian dishes all done to your liking! Fresh Sushi too! I'm so disappointed that I am writing this. We just to get pick up here on a bi-monthly basis but recently, the quality has gotten worse and worse. Tonight, not only did they get my usual order wrong but our sesame chicken was almost raw!! So grows I saw blood inside !!! I guess they don't expect people to cut it up but when we did, it was nasty. Prior to that the guy that answered the phone could not understand that I just wanted 1 order of spring rolls and instead I ended with a half dozen. Wow, what a difference a year makes! My family moved into this area in July 2021 and this place quickly became our go to spot for Chinese food. Unfortunately, the ingredients/vegetables listed on the current menus have changed, (broccoli substituted with celery etc.), and protein quality and quantities have changed drastically. I know with inflation prices are up, and there menu prices are too, but the food has fallen off at a level I can't comprehend. Tonight I received two meals with white rice. The meals contained sauce, and salad shrimp with a few pieces of diced chicken. If you like white rice with stir fry sauce and no vegetables that's cool but we were expecting a meal as we have often received from this establishment in the past. Honestly, at this point there's little chance we'll order here again. Sad considering theirs was a menu that was hanging on our refrigerator and a family favorite. I have on several occasions had takeout from this restaurant. They have good food, it reminds me of the Chinese takeaway in NYC. If you are looking for fancy Asian Fusion this is not the place... at the same time this is not fast food Chinese that fills a styrofoam box with lo mein and your choice of two or three entrees. I specifically asked for vegetable pan fried noodles and instead got one with chicken , beef and shrimp inside and the pan fried noodles were lomein noodles and impossible to soften with the broth. Used to eat here almost every other day. However, I ordered combo lo mein / mongolian beef last night and the cook on duty decided to go yolo or something, because the lo mein smelled disgusting. I can't even describe it. It smelled really off. The mongolian beef was 95% onion and I had to dig harder than a blood diamond slave for peices of beef. I thought maybe I was really tired and nope, it was just as bad next morning. I called them to let them know what happened. The guy wanted me to bring the food back. I order delivery in the first place because I don't want to drive there after I get off work. I EVEN OFFERED to order something else and have their driver take it back. Nope. My go-to for Chinese takeout on 17. I love their lo mein because they never have their noodles drenched in oil. Average prices, good service, convenient, and quick prep. Boyfriend go the general tsos and it was pretty good too. My only wish is they added more protein to their dishes. My lo mein had little shreds of chicken so their meat to carb ratio could be a little better. Otherwise, no complaints! read more

This is a small family owned restaurant. The ambiance is very dark and dreary. The place can definitively use a makeover so that it feels more inviting. The host/manager was cordial but was very rushed in everything. I felt pressured to make a decision about what to order. Once the food came though, it was delicious. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was fantastic, but considering the prices, I had no complaints. The portions were hefty and the taste was good. Asia cafe is our "go-to" Chinese delivery. We have tried delivery from a few other locations in the area and were just not impressed, but Asia Cafe delivers consistent results every time. Their sushi is not the greatest, but it'll satisfy any craving that you have. Staff is very friendly, restaurant is clean and has recently been renovated. Husband and I ordered for first time here. Spring rolls were so greasy that when you bit into them the grease ran onto your shirt. Gentleman that answered phone couldn't understand me and didn't have knowledge of Restaurant menu when I called for a delivery. Man who answered phone stated that fried cheese wontons are same as crab Rangoon, but both are listed on the menu as separate items and ingredients. Fried cheese wonton is cream cheese and is sweet, crab Rangoon has different cheese and crab and is dipped into a red sweet and sour sauce. We had a wonderful dinner last night again as usual! The sushi and sashimi along with the Chinese food is over-the-top at this place! They really tend to your needs as my wife is gluten-free and arranged to prepare a Chinese dish with complete gluten-free ingredients which was a super treat for her! Also our son ordered a beef dish knowing that our granddaughter would not enjoy any of the vegetables and they made that I believe was supposed to be beef and bell pepper with onions and excluded all of the vegetables.We did order two sashimi deluxe trays along with a Sushi/sashimi combination plate and a spicy roll dinner which consisted of spicy salmon roll spicy tuna rolls with yellow tail and Ahi tuna individually made to perfection! Their service is excellent along with their food is super fresh we have been here many many times over the last 20 years and they have always been excellent! We love this place and will be back as we do attempt to make it every three weeks! This is a family owned and run business and they really enjoy families coming in as the owners were very attentive to the grandchildren who are one and ahalf years old and 2 1/2 years old completely taken care of them and loving on them! Be sure when you dine in that if you have special needs or special requests for anything to let them now as they will bend over backwards for you! More than likely they will be packed but we arrived about 7:15 Saturday evening and they were able to seat us immediately accommodating five adults and two babies!
