Really frustrating to have this great sushi spot in town really honestly the best we've tried around here so far and it's never available. I checked the website and it said sushi is available Wednesday through Sunday 4-close and called to order and it's unavailable. It's happened multiple times. Just take the sushi off the menu if you can't be consistent about having it available on a regular basis. read more

The food here is pretty good, though I have to agree with some earlier reviewers who feel this restaurant is trying to do too many things at once. I am always amazed that I have to buy rice separately, here. Shouldn't a small bowl of steamed rice be included? The swimming rama is very tasty. Then again, you can't go wrong with fresh spinach, peanut sauce, chilies, and chicken. A 20% off coupon is always available from my mailbox, and I always use it. My fiancée, our nine month old and I ate here. The service was AMAZING. And although we got there at the end of the Happy Hour 25% off thing our waitress still gave it to us. They were so attentive and answered all our questions amazingly. The food was great too. The steamed rice was a little over cooked. Huge variety of Asian inspired foods: sushi, Thai, Chinese. Huge selection. Sushi is only offered 2 days a week. Make me feel like the fish is fresh if it only ships in 2 times a week. Ambiance can seat large groups, with sturdy huge bench seating. Wood carved wall art that looks like it was imported from Thailand decorates the walls. It looks like a community hot spot where I witnessed locals bumping into each other and waving from across the restaurant. Parking lot is huge. Pricing is great. Fed a family of 6 with Thai iced teas for approx 100. Same meal in Bellevue wa would have been 140. Giving 3 star because the taste of the food was average. I give 4 if is it's great and I'm surprised. I rarely give out 5 stars. read more

More like "Asian $100". Overpriced for what it is really. Similar prices to Seattle restaurants surprisingly. We ordered takeout for 4 and they quoted us the lunch price but then charged us the dinner price when we arrived to pay. I'd say the food portions are quite small too and missing some sauce on one dish. Broccoli was kinda chewy which is a new one. I love this place however everytime I come I get the Garlic Sauce w/ Chicken. Absolutely amazing. Not sure how everything else taste. My only gripe is that I always seem to show up on the days when they don't serve sushi (I think Sun/Mon). And so that is frustrating. read more

Everytime we come here we get that sushi g spot hit!! Try the jalepeno roll! We sat at the small quaint sushi bar and got a show and some great attention from the sushi chef. We even asked for a recommendation and he made us something special. This is the only place in Burlington that I will go to now. Made me a regular. Great job chef! read more

Good food all around. If you go on a night when they are serving sushi, it is really good. I highly recommend. Sometimes it takes a while to come out, but it is usually worth it. Other favorite foods there include the Pad Thai and the Honey Glazed Prawns (the chicken version is also good). They have low calorie options for people watching their waste line that taste ok for the calories. Their bar drinks are really good as well, they serve the extra in a shaker with the drink, so you really get a few drinks for the price of one. read more

Big open atmosphere and amazing food. I mean AMAZING. my husband and I are very used to going to Sakura's down the road, and now we have a new favorite place. Eat somewhere else they advertise they're food is healthy and good but I was disappointed, the garlic soup with meat tasted so bland. I had pork in the soup and it was drier than a desert and broth wasn't good. Wow. Found this place while on business on yelp. Thoroughly impressed with everything. The pineapple rice with chicken was incredibly tasty, the peanut sauce on the salad was flavorful and the cashew de light with chicken was out of thus world... wish they were in Scottsdale AZ. Bravo!! read more

We have been visiting Asian 1 for a few years, and keep returning because it is consistently great, we have never had a bad experience. We have always found the service to be professional, not pushy but helpful. The kitchen is within view of the seating area, and you can see its spotlessly clean, what one likes to see. We have never had to wait to be seated, its a large restaurant, which is great. One of the best things about ordering is it seems like about 10 minutes before your food arrives, hot and fresh, and very tasty. Okay, sometimes when its busy, maybe 15 minutes, but no more. We like it a little on the spicy side, from a scale of 1 to 4, we usually order 3 & 4, and they also have additional spicy condiments if you need extra extra hot. A few dishes we always have are the Mongolian Beef, have never had it prepared like this before. And for the most delicious tasty dish try the Honey Glazed Chicken. Its not only a meal but could also pass as a dessert, once you try either of these two, you will return for more. We have also tried the Pad Thai and Curries, they are great, and lots of variety to choose from. For a larger group, we add the Appetizer Combo, for a little bit of everything good. Be sure to try the Thai Iced Teas, order the Cream and you get a free refill, and for that have the Coconut Milk, they just taste delicious. We are not into Sushi, but a friend we bring along occasionally loves their Sushi. We have had most items available on the menu, and have always found everything great. I wonder about some of these comments on here about this but also other restaurants, I know food is subjective, but feel I have eaten in enough and a wide variety of restaurants to give an expanded review of this place, I feel its more informative for others. I always wonder about reviews written by folks, many do not seem helpful, or realistic. Some comments seem quite 'creative'. We have always had great service, and meals here. We have been coming here for years, a few times a month, and feel it one of the best places in the area, consequently we keep coming back. We also order food to go, and its always ready when we come to pcik it up. And be sure to take advantgage of their 'happy hours' of 3-5PM and 8-9PM for an additional 25% off, its a great deal. This restaurant deserves a higher review than those written here. We have been here before, and frankly were not that impressed, but decided to give it another try. The improvements are evident. The sushi was incredible though the selection is limited. Not surprising considering that people that live it Burlington aren't exactly sushi aficionados. Keep it simple. Very impressed that they use real Dungeness crab. Not too many sushi restaurants do. My wife had PadThai which she liked for a woman that can be a little particular with her food. I eat all types of Asian food on a regular basis, so I have a decent idea of what good and bad is. While there's nothing wrong with what we had here, it definitely wasn't really good. Service was really good, waiters were both nice and attentive, restaurant appeared clean as well. However my Pad Thai was not all that great, I ordered a "4" which is supposed to be the spiciest, however it tasted like ketchup mixed with a small amount of Sriracha. Anyways, it's okay, but definitely not a place I'll be going if I want some good Thai. read more

This is our first visit to Asian 1. The service and food were excellent. We had the shrimp appetizer with the sweet chili sauce. The shrimp was nice and fresh. The sauce was so good that I saved it to drizzle on my main course - Swimming Rama with chicken. It was a nice addition to the creamy peanut sauce. The vegetables and meat were fresh and delicious.
