The Buffet was massive, there was something for everyone! Sushi was outstanding and fresh as were the wontons the crab Rangoon. To be honest I grazed that Buffet like a cow in a fresh pasture . A little of this and a bite of that it was great! Our server was very polite he greeted us immediately took our drink orders and said help yourself to the buffet, and we did! Laid back eatery not noisy. A pleasant place to to be a glutton. Heads up, you'll need a nap afterwards. They do have take out and last but most importantly the restrooms are CLEAN. read more

Went there three days ago and our total was $54.54, i choose not to tip because the server only came over once to refill the waters and also i feel like its stupd to have to tip at a place where you do all the work. But the payment was pending in my bank for a couple of days and took 4 days to post only for them to upcharge me $5. Was over $60 after it pended. read more

I can't eat a lot, so at this buffet I usually do carry-out at lunchtime. They charge by weight. I have been happy with selections, which include standard Chinese fare and sushi as well as some American selections. They have a wide range of desserts as well. My favorite Chinese-American item is War Shu Gai, which, sadly, they do not offer. I make do with some good chicken selections, fried rice and crab Rangoon. All very good. It's unfortunate Asian Buffet get dragged down by 1 & 2 star reviews from more than 3 years ago. A lot has changed and all for the good. Best Chinese food ever? C'mon. It's a buffet. Still, the food is fresh. Frequently replaced. And the buffet has more than 4 rows of hot trays. And a few salad, cold & desert trays. The hot & sour soup was rich, flavorful and piping hot. Some dishes were a miss. But the various chicken dishes were well above average. General Cho, Bourbon Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Pepper Chicken were all delicious. Boiled shrimp were large & crisp. Muscles were humongous. And the sushi might well have been sashimi. Serious 1/2" thick slices of tuna, salmon & Escobar. Rolls included California, Spicy Tuna, and a few variations with shrimp, crab, etc. Nothing exotic, but again fresh. There were fresh veggies available as salad fixins or as a cucumber salad. The steam table had fresh broccoli, string beans & mushrooms. There's something for everyone. Most of it well above average. At $15 the price is on the high side, but find an all you can sushi dinner for under $15. Or a Chinese dinner, for that matter. The Asian Cafe is more than worth a shot. Food was good and fresh, good selection for the price, our server was very attentive and kind, accommodating to child guests as well, everything was clean and organized, we sat in a booth and felt we had privacy, and they have good sweet tea. read more

Food was good. Service was okay. The service person never filled our water. After a long time they finally took the dirty dishes off the table. It was cold in there but it was hot outside. Was there on a Sunday night about an hour before closing. Cost was a bit high for not having anything special. Someone said they had frog legs but we didn't see any. Went here for my first time today with my bestie. We had the buffet. Everything was great. So many options. They have this seafood stuffed pastry roll that was sooo good! I could have ate the whole 2ft roll! General Tso was delish. The green beans were seasoned perfect! Had many of the sushi...all were good. They also have a fresh grill option where you pick what you want and someone will grill it up for you. Please tip the grill and sushi person. I did not care for the hot & sour soup. Usually that is one of my favorite soups but did not like this version. Besides the soup, everything else was great including the service and refills. Also ordered a carry out combo and that was ready in a timely manner. I will definitely go back!! read more

Weelllll...I have had worse. This buffet is centrally located and easy in and out when you really don't want fast, drive thru food. I think I am eating healthier but end up with a lot if fried stuff anyway..which they have plenty of along with any other Asian buffet there are several mystery dishes as well. There is a very small modest attempt at a Mongolian grill but I didn't see who the cook was since no one took advantage of it while I was there. They also had a sushi section that had some items a coward like myself could try. The service is decent. I can't tell you it was friendly but it was efficient. Price of my 3pm buffet with water to drink was $8.55. I guess I may have eaten at least that much boiled shrimp ; ) read more

Ah, the high risk, high reward pleasures of a Chinese buffet in America. This particular Asian Buffet is pretty much what you expect. And if the place is busy and the food is being turned over at a nice clip, you're going to have a good gorge. But if you make the mistake of coming during off hours, you are likely to encounter some food that's been sitting too long. And that's not very appetizing. So if you want to binge eat during peak meal times, by all means, hit this place. Otherwise, stay away. read more

I had no idea there was such a thing as bad fried rice....till today. Horrible, orange dyed white rice mixed with very old pork. The egg drop soup tasted good but also had a deep orange color that stains white plastic on contact! Never again! read more

I only found a few items that looked appealing and ended up choosing 2 out of the 4 items. Man cannot live on Crab Rangoon and chick on a stick alone even though they were awesome. I've been here a lot with my mom over the past years. The last time we went was 2-3 years ago and it was just a random pop in I guess and the food was ok. This time coming the food was either over seasoned or not seasoned enough. The sushi rice was over cooked. The fried rice was dry and hard. Well I had been here before but I won't be back. The prices are just a few dollars beneath at least 3 high quality Chinese buffets just as close to me as this one this. When you consider the selection, the quality, and the keep of the food isn't close to those other places, why go back? To start off, the Sushi should be kept on wood trays and then on ice. It dries out/goes bad quickly on cooled ceramic plates placed on top of a cooling unit. The raw fish especially has no shelf life. Secondly, they have too much of a focus on non Chinese foods/dishes. Fried chicken strips, fried mushrooms, and fried shrimp aren't Chinese. In fact out of their entire group of food stations, only 1 is devoted fully to actually Chinese dishes. The rest are deep fried foods and mostly American dishes. This is an issue if you patron Chinese buffets for healthier selections like seafood, vegetables, "Sushi". The best or worst thing I can say is, if you hope to have a little Chinese food but your date/kid refuses to eat Chinese, this will cover you. The most damaging aspect is this. The fried chicken strips they serve are exactly the same ones you can get at Jumbo buffet in LaGrange, Ky. So even if you wanted to feed your kids chicken strips and ketchup you'd rather go there because that buffet at least knows it isn't worth more than what they charge, a price still under $6. Which is way less than you'll pay here. In fact, with drinks, a party of 2 on a Tuesday evening cost $27.69 when both parties also have a drink. Again, that is just barely $2.00 less than a much fancier Chinese buffet that serves items like crab legs & steak and has 5X the food options. Kinda makes you say, No Thanks! read more

A huge selection of food! The egg drop soup was really tasty, as was the general tso's chicken. Rice wasn't dry or bland. I love that they have huge bottles of hand sanitizer available. Server nice & attentive. $28 for two adult buffets and 2 waters... kinda expensive. Only two complaints- more than one piece of silverware I got still had food stuck on it. Now I come with my daughter son in law and 2 granddaughters 11 and 7. the service and staff is so warm and friendly. This restaurant was serving "Thai Peanut" chicken when I visited there recently. The chicken I chose was COMPLETELY RAW in the center. When we told our server, she did not tell the management, and it was not removed from the buffet. Located right past the intersection of state routes 65 South and 256 West-this may be your last chance at decent food as you head out in the direction of St Louis. Reasonably priced with each individual item orders priced under $10 each, with a lot of the locals purchasing a take-out container to select from the buffet ($7/lb.) The kids seemed to enjoy the selection of desserts and other fried treats being offered. The price for the buffet on weekdays is $10, and on Weekends it's $11, kids pay $6 (under age 3 the kids are free.) The take out food would be my recommendation from a quick glance at the warming trays in the buffet. A lot of the food looked like it had been sitting for a while, and you will probably be happier with fresh food from the kitchen. The steamed dumplings for $5 were on the small side, but you do get eight pieces-though they do take a while to cook, so be patient. I also had the Spicy Hot Bean Curd with Minced Pork. Passable Ma Po Tofu, but it had too many onions and not enough minced pork-and the gravy was too sweet for me. Served with a half pint of rice at $7, it was a filling meal. A total NIGHTMARE, I felt as if Freddy Kruger was going to pop up out of the rice and rip me a new one. The food was COLD, HARD, CHEWY, and JUST NASTY. The crab rangoon tasted like it had a bucket of sugar in each one. Not to mention we paid 10.99 each!!!! The service was OK but one of the workers had their kid in there running up to the buffet and grabbing food with their bare hands!!!! Screaming and going nuts. I generally loathe buffets but every once in a while I want options. The Asian Buffet more than satisfies my need for options. They have buffet upon buffet of Asian food which ranges from seafood to chicken to beef to rice and everything in between. At dinner time they even have frog legs and king crab. They also have an entire buffet of dessert with a separate ice cream cooler containing multiple flavors of hand dipped ice cream, as well as a salad bar, and a Sushi buffet. Mixed in among the gluttonous amounts of Asian food is also a spattering of American options like pizza, cheese sticks, deep fried macaroni and cheese, etc. Of course, because its a buffet none of it is amazingly high quality and it has all sat in a warmer but its about options and on that The Asian Buffet wins hands down. read more
