I usually meet a friend once a week for lunch, and for the past few months we've met at Asian Chefs. I really like it. It's kind of a hidden gem in my opinion. Parking can be a bit of a challenge sometimes if they are busy, so you may have to park farther away & walk a little, but it's worth it. You would never know it from the outside, but inside the decor is trendy and pretty cool looking - lots of vivid red, black walls with what looks like Chinese characters written in gold all over. Kind of classy. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, peaceful, you don't have to shout over music etc. to have a conversation with someone. I have some limitations on what I can order (I eat gluten-free) so I tend to usually order the same things (Panany Curry, and another dish whose name I forgot), but it's always been very good. I usually end up taking quite a bit of it home as the portions are pretty large. Plus you get soup w/ the meal and choice of an egg roll or something else (I end up giving them to my friend because they contain wheat). You also get a pot of tea with your meal if you like, which I like for the caffeine refresh to get me through the rest of the afternoon. And the prices are amazing. For what I usually order I think it runs around $8 and some change. At least that's what I paid today, before the tip. It seems to be a family-owned place. We always have the same waitress, who I think is probably the mother, and she is awesome - always friendly, smiling, very quick, attentive and unobtrusive (which is incredibly rare in a waiter/waitress and much appreciated). May be it was my mistake that I ordered a Thai dish from a Chinese restaurant. The Thai basil stir fry was....not good. It tasted like it was made with pre-made sauce and I only found a tiny bunch of basil in my dish. Not sure if I will go back again. read more

I have been going here for over a decade and tonight had the absolute worst customer service ever!!!!!!!! I Ordered 3 meals at 4:35 for delivery. The food showed up at about 5:10. They forgot all the side rice. We caught the delivery driver before he left and he was going to be right back with our rice. Over an hour later still no rice and the rest of the food is now cold. We called and they said they were behind. At 6:35 still no rice and we called to speak to the manager. They told us that they would only refund us $5.00-the price of the rice. 6:45 rice finally showed up but now I have to reheat my meal. I guess I am now looking for new Chinese restaurant in the Littleton area. read more

I usually have always had a great experience here, tonight not so much. Placed a phone order for pickup. Asked what was in a specific dish, Mongolian Beef. Was told it was Carrots, zucchini, beef in a spicy Brown sauce. Get home to find that it is only beef and onions, and now I'm stuck with it. SUPER DISAPPOINTED and UPSET that I wasted my money. Tonight I ordered the chicken chow mein and it had no noodles, and it was mostly grease, water, and chicken scraps. Wonderful little place for lunch on Father's Day. Was not very expensive for 2 of us. The Cashew shrimp was delicious and the shrimp with hot garlic sauce was amazing!! I recently ate at Asian chefs restaurant and ordered sesame tofu. While eating it I bit down on something very hard. After spitting the food out into my hand to inspect what was in it I discovered a small rock. Similar to a pebble found in a playground at a school. I confronted Tim the resturnt owner about this and he laughed at me. He told me I should't worry about it and reminded me that the restaurant had insurance. I RECIEVED NO REFUND OR COMPENSATION. I felt this was extreemly unprofessional and it caused me to wonder if Asian chefs has had any other problems like this in the past. Here's what I found... Asian chefs resturant, located on the corner of chatfield and Kipling had ten critical health violations during the past year. TEN CRITICAL VIOLATIONS. This is more than twice as many as all other restaurants reviewed in Littleton CO during the same time period (with few exceptions). This came as no surprise to me during my next visit when I discovered that not only do the cooks smoke cigarettes in the kitchen, THEY DO IT WHILE COOKING YOUR FOOD. I've eaten here many times as this is the place my extended family and some friends choose.Littleton has a horrible selection of restaurants so there's not much around this area. The staff is consistently rude and unfriendly. This goes for the wait staff but also the hostesses and bussers. This often ruins the meal for me. The food is generally OK, but I feel there is too much salt or MSG? in the food as I usually end up with a headache and very thirsty! read more

Upon arriving at Asian Chefs, one is underwhelmed by the outside and wonders if it's even still in business, but if you venture inside, you'll find a delightfully red semi modern designed dining room. I'm never disappointed with the food when we go to Asian Chefs. The food is always fresh, and the wait staff is courteous and helpful. Their menu has many great options to choose from. Their egg rolls are among the best I've found outside of China Town in San Fran. As far as Denver goes, it really cannot get any better than this. They are also child friendly. Something has changed here. I am pretty sure the owners changed. I used to love everything we ordered. Now the sesame chicken is not as good. The steamed dumplings always seem undercooked and egg rolls and wontons arrive no longer hot - barely warm. Worse - 2 orders ago, they missed some of the condiments meant to go with our food, next order they brought the chow mein without the crispy noodles and tonight - missing condiments again. I called to let them know - hoping they would fix it at some point so it didn't keep happening. They said the driver would bring the condiments back. we used to really like this place but when we went there tonight it was bad. All of the staff have their little kids running around the restaurant. They were outside initially but then it got dark and they all came in and played on their ipads and video games. One was playing a piano game the entire time we were trying to have dinner. Tried Asian Chefs for the first time on Sunday and was extremely disappointed. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and it did not have sweet and sour sauce! Just chicken heavily breaded and no vegetables. Kind of shocked about the poor food quality after seeing so many good reviews of this place. While the parking lot was not full, it was quite busy inside. Speaking of the inside, it was interesting - kind of a blast from the past 80s oriental lounge theme. Our table was dirty and after pointing it out, they didn't seem to care too much. Our server did not smile the entire time. I honestly do not think she even said a word while we were there. My son and I ordered a pupu platter and it was bad - each item was bad, meaning it just did not taste great. I have never seen a place mess that up. My hot and sour soup as not hot temperature-wise. Luke warm soup sucks. Next we got our entrees. They were better than the appetizer, but not great. I had moo shu pork which was the best item we had. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had eating out. I have been a customer here for years and never had an issue with anything. All the sudden I came in with a friend and ordered only a water before I got stopped by one of the employees saying last time I was here in "November" I didn't pay. I continuously told her I haven't been there in a few months so you must be mistaking for someone else. They were threatening to call 911 on us and I kept asking for proof. A receipt, us on video, some sort of proof that it was us. They acted like they didn't understand us and said their cameras deleted what happened that day. May I mention they were yelling at us and making a scene in the place on a busy night in front of everyone. Anyways, police come and said that if they have no proof they couldn't do anything about it... all the sudden the ladies started to look very panicked as if they knew they were caught doing something wrong and we went home. My family has been eating here for the past couple of years. We love the egg drop soup, the lo mein, the cashew chicken and most other things we've had. We don't care for the items that are breaded, but don't generally like those anywhere. We should have turned around when we saw the front door. Our first impression was the entire front door had paint peeling off of it. We walked in and got a whif of a stale smell. We should have turned around. The place is dirty and the food is bad. Ceiling tiles are in need of replacement. The lights at each booth have these tassles hanging down and the tassles are dirty and right at eye level, so they obstruct your vision when looking at the perosn on the other side of the booth. We ordered crab cheese wontons and the crab was nearly absent. It is more like cream cheese wontons. The Kung Pao Chicken was so salty, we could not drink enough water. The Seasame Chicken was over cooked and the sauce was just not right. The server was good. This place has apparently been neglected. We will never go here again. read more

The appeal of Asian Chefs is the price. You get a TON of food for cheap, and if you order before 3 for the lunch prices, it's cheaper than a value meal somewhere. The food itself varies greatly in quality and taste. Some items like the broccoli chicken are bland and tasteless, while the Kung Pao chicken and Curry chicken are really phenomenal. The wait staff leaves some to be desired, but that is not really a factor to me. Definitly give this place a try, the price to food\quality ratio is excellent. read more
