This is a local favorite of ours. But recently I've been really unwell and there's a lot of food I cannot eat. Cant eat meat, starchy foods. I'm surviving on the wonton soup (can't eat the wontons or chicken but I keep it in for flavor). But the veges and broth are saving me. I Uber eats it at least twice a week, I should do it more. I should know better than to try a restaurant in its first week, but ...this went exceptionally well. Got take out dinner - staff was very friendly and composed. Ended up getting jumbo panko shrimp and beef chow fun. I didn't get any pictures because JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD. (Food got attacked before photos were considered.) Absolutely flawless execution. Fast and fresh. Panko shrimp were large prawns, evenly coated, perfect colour - fry oil was fresh (deftly avoiding a cardinal sin). Accompanying dipping sauce was well suited. (Heck, even the to-go container on this impressed me.) Beef chow fun ...checked all the boxes. Did not skimp on meat, noodles perfectly cooked, everything has that kiss of fire char, good proportion of vegetables ...beef perfectly tender. (This to-go container on this was normal.) Knocking it out of the park in their first week. Looking forward to trying their other stuff. (This is just a reminder that I wanna get Singapore Noodles next. ...and pad thai. I was shocked at how much they have raised the prices. Their pricing was significantly higher on entrees than other comparable Asian restaurants in the area. I went to ramenhood with my sister on a monday and they had a paper note on their door saying temporarily closed on mondays, luckily this spot was just around the corner, INSANELY AWESOME FOOD, like the crisp on the honey sriracha chicken was crazy, its a 30 minute drive there and back but its so worth it, id drive an hour to get there and an hour back if i needed to. We ordered so much off the menu, and everything was great! A few highlights: the ganache chick with soba noodles was moist tender and the noodles were huge. The Singapore noodles were an excellent surprise with chicken and shrimp. The salt and power pork was very tasty, not too much pepper. The Mongolian beef was seasoned with the right amount of heat from the red peppers. I highly recommend the food! We also had the Pho, because we had a lot of mouths to feed. I gave this place another try and had their won ton noodle soup and pho and these dishes are actually legit! I would say best wonton bowl in town and the pho is actually better than actual pho places. Definitely give this place a try for these dishes. I love supporting local, family owned places! The food here is solidly in the "yummy" category. The staff (all family), were very nice and greeted us with smiles. Service was quick. First time visitor to the Asian Corner Cafe after being recommended. We ordered two dishes, a chicken dish and a tofu dish. Both dishes had lots of flavor, fresh ingredients and tasted good. The restaurant was clean. Best yet, the service was great. A very nice young lady gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and checked in on us often asking if we needed anything during our meal.
