I absolutely love this spot it is so delicious and amazing portion sizes are very generous and prices are great compared to other spots I highly recommend this restaurant no complaints here!!! If your looking for a good spot to go GOO HERE

We visited this restaurant for the very first time today. The service was quick and the food smelled great. However, to our horror, we found a cockroach in the rice we were served. I called the restaurant and was told I had to go back in person to return the food, and they couldn't issue a refund over the phone. I went back to the restaurant and they honored their word, but not once did they offer any sort of apology. Very disappointing on many fronts. Someone who was in line approached us after witnessing the interaction and mentioned it was his first time there, and asked if there was something wrong with the food. I told him what we found and he decided to leave. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Roach that was mixed in with the fried rice

Tried it for the first time today and will never be going back. I found a roach in my fried rice and after contacting them they asked for the food back (???), refund was issued but no sincerity or apology was given. The HUGE issue was not taken seriously at all and it felt like it was just trying to be shoved under the rug. Would never recommend to anyone.

I've been going to Smith's Landing since they were Humphrey's. I haven't had the best experiences…read morehere. I've never been wowed by their food. For their prices and beautiful ambiance, I would expect better. Fast forward to Mother's Day. (Late review I know) My mother wanted to go here for an early dinner. I wasn't happy about her choice, but hey, it's her day. After arriving with my wife we were promptly seated. My mother ordered the salmon, my step-dad ordered I forget what, and my wife and I ordered the ribeye steak. My wife and I had ordered the ribeye there before. The previous times the steaks were bland. This time though, wow! The food was super delicious! Now to the service. Keonna. Keonna kept looking at my mother. Not in a weird way, but in a I think I know you from somewhere way. Finally she told my mom she reminded her of her grandmother and told my mother she was beautiful. That made my mother smile. Keonna was also super attentive and on top of everything. Thank you, Keonna. You helped make my mom's day that much better. This experience, especially the food and Keonna, definitely ensures that we will be back.

The Problem with this establishment begins with the middle aged male manager. My friend chose this…read moreplace to celebrate my belated birthday. I was not impressed. The food was definitely on an Applebees level and not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. Back to the manager. He greeted my friend because he knows her family, asked her if she needed a beer refill, more water. He literally spoke to her for 10 minutes and asked her twice about a beer refill until she said yes. He wouldn't look at me, he didn't acknowledge me when I tried to be a part of their conversation, and he never once asked if I wanted a refill on my cocktail or water glass. I was invisible. Then the waitress was very sweet but she literally directed her questions about refills and recommendations to my friend and not me. I literally had to ask for a refill and an appetizer. It was the most strange experience I've ever had. I was quietly erased. I rarely think that I am being discriminated against and hate to use the "R' word, but I was dressed professionally, well spoken, polite with good table manner skills, and normally people treat me with respect. This was definitely an outlier for me. My friend, the server and Manager share the same skin tone and ethnicity while I do not. The way that I was treated bothered me immensely and after a day of processing everything, I called another friend who happens to be the same skin tone as my other friend to ask him if I was "tripping". He immediately said that I had been discriminated against and that I should speak to my friend to see if she noticed and to watch her response. So I did just that. She apologized for how she subconsciously noticed it but didn't feel uncomfortable enough to step in and help me. She said that clearly realized that she should have intervened instead of allowing herself to receive better treatment than me and unconsciously condoning the behavior. I could tell that she meant it and was deeply apologetic. Smiths Landing is teetering on self-destruction by hiring a manger and staff who are making some of their good customers feel less valued than others. They are a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen. It also showed how employees can destroy an owner's business if the owner isn't on top of things. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is subpar and so is the service.

Their posted hours on the door as well as on Yelp say that they are open until 9 PM. When I walked in, there was no worker to be found. A young man emerged, and he looked confused. I asked what time they were open until. He said 9 PM. It seemed like he finally realized that I wanted to eat, and he tried to take my order to go, although he didn't give me a menu. I asked if I could be seated and get a menu. He awkwardly said OK. After I sat down, he came over and said that the cook might leave early, and that I might want to hurry up and order. I politely excused myself and said that I would come back another time. I then drove to another nearby restaurant that also is open till 9 PM. I didn't get there until 9:35 PM, but they served me and were very pleasant, and I had a great dinner. I don't understand why a business would post their hours and then not abide by them.

It's so diverse and can barely ever miss back home but out here it's hard . With that being said I was craving some good ol fried catfish . I looked them up on Yelp and seen they have my favorite which is fried scallops so I said let's give them a try . This is a seafood market that sells fried food . Called my order in ahead of time. The person who took my order was polite and helpful . I got wing and catfish combo and wanted prawn and scallop combo . Unfortunately they were out of prawns by 4 in the afternoon . So I got catfish and scallops instead . Overall it was good . The catfish was fresh and melted like butter in my mouth . Chicken was nice sized chicken . The scallops were big not the little ones and cooked perfectly not chewy at all . The breading was fried right, not too thick or over seasoned . Fries could have been cooked a little harder but besides that my fish craving was fulfilled. I would try them out again .

Also unsure if these were frozen or freshly battered. Not too much flavor. 1/10 Fried Mac n cheese was probably the best thing. We don't always roll like that, but we tend to try to beat the rush so we can head back to our Trilogy Rio Vista Compound and nap. Being early was not a problem. The Owners/Hosts were courteous and sat us right away. We ordered the 20 Ribeye's both. Sides of creamed spinach and Brussel sprouts and two salads, one Caesar and one house. Also cream of mushroom soup. Presentation was spectacular. The salads were crisp and garnished with edible orchids. The soup was creamy and soothing. We chose, at the suggestion of our host the Bowtie Petite Syrah from the Macaully Estate Winery. Delicious, perfect temperature. The steaks were cooked perfect to medium. The rub was spiced right, and no steak sauce was even pondered. We topped it off with the New York Cheesecake and even though one of the Blueberries sadly fell off the table during the mandatory photo session, it did not hold it against us. Blueberries are naturally sad by comedy nature, so it held it martyrdom with pride. We will go back. We will recommend. The restaurant seems like an ultra-polished turd; no one seems to know what they are doing, but they painted the walls nice so I guess they can charge top dollar. Gripes: Slow, unprofessional service Bartender lacked experience, visibly Had to repeat my order several times because the bartender had stopped listening to yell at her staff Wine list is very basic, even though Napa is so nearby Cocktail menu is just standard cocktails, and watching her make them was less than reassuring. She was relying on her recipe notes and the bar is so disorganized. We watched a bottle of white wine sit uncorked, out and unchilled, for the entirety of our visit after she poured a glass for my lady. We didn't order a second glass, but we might have otherwise. Soup was lukewarm and seemed straight from a can "Legendary baked mac'n'cheese" is comedic gold, and whoever described it that way must be hilarious Ribeye was ordered medium rare and came out with barely a sear I feel like this place is a wonderfully executed practical joke, and they got us real good. Hungry, depleted, lost (and likely protein-deficient due to the loss of my beloved cheese omelet with avocado), I scoured the earth in search of another breakfast spot nearby, but none were worthy. They just didn't offer up the amazing flavor and friendly faces (hey Omar, Ross, Gaby and da crew!) that Big Daddy's always did.
