I e never had Halal Chinese food and was told this place is good so I had to try it. Only pickup orders here so call ahead. I made the mistake the first time to walk up and their turn around time for a order is 30 minutes which means they are busy. My order was simple fried chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. The wings were cooked well and decent size. No nasty oily taste here! The fried rice was Ok. It was fried rice and they placed like 4 shrimps on top so I wouldn't call that shrimp fried rice. Nevertheless, it was ok. I did order the chicken wonton soup and I was perplexed by this one. The wontons were so massive and doughy and the meat was so hard inside, I won't be ordering that again. I guess I tried it and it was fine but I probably won't be back. Chinese food around here leaves something to be desired so I'll head to China town! read more

Doesn't look like much when you pull up but baybeeeeeee let me tell you! I went there on the word of my cousin she told me everything was good. Like always my cousin did not let me down. I ordered a spicy shrimp with broccoli in a spice level 3. I think that was the highest spice level. I also got a shrimp roll. I'm not that greedy I needed my order to be $10 to use my credit card. Which is why I gave them 3 stars. Because my meal wasn't $10 they charged me an additional .50 cents to swipe my card. I didn't like it but that was the only way I could buy my food. I would order from here again, I just know better next time to have cash. Sooooo I did go back again. A few times during the Covid. The first time they forgot my rice and offered to replace it the next time I placed an order. Today was the day I decided to treat my family to dinner from here. I'm starving. The food smells amazing. I'm digging in like I never had a meal before and it was then that I seen a piece of hair. If it was eye lash length I could understand. Very disappointed with how they run their business now. The first few times I came here before covid, they were friendly and courteous. Now you can't go inside, it's pick up at the window only, you have to call in your orders even though they are standing right in front of you and they don't bother to answer any of your questions. Came in because I had heard a lot of hype about this place. It's built most closely to a take-out restaurant, where you order at the counter and the food is ready at the counter as well. It has a few tables and chairs for sitting, but the ambiance is very basic which is fine. The employee behind the register took my order for the Chicken Lo-Mein. I went for the "small," seeing that my sister and friend who ordered before me did so, and the portions were very large. One thing that did annoy me is that the employee said that they were a "take-out restaurant" and could not give me a cup of water. Regardless, my order was around 7 dollars. Once it was ready, I was super hungry and excited to eat. To be honest, it was decent Lo-Mein. However, it was most definitely nothing special. The flavor was OK, but I've definitely has better Lo-Mein. Considering that the restaurant is halal, I guess it wasn't too bad for having halal options. Overall, I probably wouldn't drive out to come back myself. It was quite a distance from my house, and I feel that I could get better Chinese food closer to where I live. read more

This isn't your corner Chinese food place. They are Halal quality chiniese food. This is the best Chinese food around. Not just because their food is halal, it's honestly the best Chinese food around. It's an family own place. Parents and 2 son pretty much run the place. They are hard working people. Very nice, never had a problem. I come here few times a month, sometimes more. There price is like any other corner Chinese food place. Pretty much under $10. They do cater however they are bit stingy with their price. You have to negotiate a bit. They do have free parking with the restaurant. The food here was pretty good for Chinese food. Took a star off since they didn't have half the things we wanted. And it's take out only. We ordered Szechuan beef, hunan shrimp, garlic chicken, lo mein, veggie fried rice. The base was almost the same in the dishes with slight flavor differences. It's nice that they add different veggies to the dishes vs just onions and scallion like other place. read more

2 star reason : they are good when it comes to handing the food off for covid reason the presentation was a bit sloppy considering they took 25+ mins the food tasted good chicken was very crispy but the broccoli had an after taste and was rough & there was very little sauce at the top and bottom plus I wanted it spicy and the person who took my order said that "it come spicy" so I didn't feel the need to add anything.... the sauce taste really sweet like they use sugar I didn't like that but overall it was a quick eat i would just check your food before you leave read more

Wowsers this place was awesome! I was on a road trip back home but was really craving some halal Chinese food. Found this place on yelp and seemed pleased with the reviews, but I don't think the reviews did it much justice. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. The hot and sour soup was the best I've ever had in my life. The beef Lo mein was so tasty and fresh. The chicken fried rice was so flavorful with the rice so fluffy. And the shrimp with garlic sauce was scrumpdiddilyumptious! Honestly, I was a bit skeptical when I actually saw the place. It was 9pm, it was the only place open on that lot, and it looked like a typical take out place, except it had a small dining area. The staff there were so nice and sweet. We spent about 30 minutes there, and I noticed a lot of customers coming in for take out. They must do well. They also have specials like free soup or egg roll with $25 purchase. My husband got the egg roll, but wasn't too impressed with it (disclaimer- that's because I make the best egg rolls :p) Anyways, I have been dreaming of this place since I left, and I am hoping to make a trip again that lets me pass by this area just so I can get some more of their Lo mein. I almost gave this four stars because of the parking. After trying my meal...I will just have to double park in the middle of the damn street . I moved and was driving to West Philly for Chinese or getting it and running home to eat it before it gets cold. This place is less than ten minutes away and the food was awesome. I rarely Yelp. My Yelps are almost always for high quality places that few people know about, I don't usually Yelp angry. I also don't Yelp revenge. This place is really good. It's just an ordinary Chinese place, however the food here is outstanding. I ordered their version of the crab rangoon which they call a cheese wonton, which, like any good addict, I tend to eat no matter how it is. But it was really really nice. Not too fatty. Perfect. In fact, the food here seems a lot lighter than typical Chinese places. I usually use the wonton soup is a good indication of whether or not the place is decent. Bland, flavorless soup equals bland, flavorless food. Their broth was delightful. Again, it's not too fatty, I kept it in the fridge overnight, and when I took it out the next morning there was no layer of fat at the top. I also had the chicken with garlic sauce. Chicken at a Chinese place can often be hit or miss. And, while theirs is about mid range as far as the actual meat is concerned, the sauce is really really good. Less sweet than typical places. Also, I tried the wings and they were excellent. Flavorful. Not just deep fried frozen pieces of protein and fat. That's what I've gotten used to. Wow, that's sad... This place is fantastic. Wow, I don't know what I love more about this family owned place-- the fact that everything is good or that everything is so cheap. It's definitely out of the way for me, so I doubt I'll be back any time soon, but on the recommendation of a friend I decided to drive out here and pick up a LOT of chinese food. Somehow the total bill was only about 40 dollars when we ordered a beef and broccoli, general tso chicken, a tofu dish, a crab rangoon (Free with our order! whaaat), a vegetable fried rice, and a lo mein. I tried everything and it was pretty good. Center City is lacking a halal chinese spot so these guys may just become my go-to, if I can swing the drive. Food was hot, not very oily, and not overly salty. I feel like those are the easiest offenses to commit when cooking chinese food so they get extra points for avoiding those pitfalls. This was my first time ordering takeout from this restaurant; I ordered the chicken pad-see-ew with extra sauce and veggies. Now, initially I was precautious, since they also service chinese food. but, at this point, I was starving and had set my hearts on having thai food for lunch. (additionally my original spot's closed on mondays :(, so, I decided to make due and give them a try.) The pad-see-ew reminded me of chicken and broccoli without the rice. The noodles were overcooked, the sauce was super sweet, there were barely any pieces of broccoli, let alone a medley of veggies. Also, I paid close to $12 for my food, which adds more salty onto the saltiness of this experiences, since I didn't really enjoy it. All this to say, this review to soley on the thai food. I've experience better thai within the area; with more authenticity, better taste and large quantities all for under $10.
