I had seen reviews on yelp prior talking about it and the quality being pretty good so we wanted to try. *note* The inside is small. Like 3-4 tables small, they do primarily take out. We sat in the table to the right of the casher. Menu was small but we ordered orange chicken, pad see ew and two appetizers. One being fried squid and the other was an order of spring rolls. Spring rolls tasted a lot like the frozen ones you get from Costco,. Taste was eh, food portion was smaller than other comparable places. We ate most of it but for other Chinese takeout in the area the prices seem high, (to me) for a meal for one adult and two kids I paid around $58. I live about an hour away and was looking for a place to eat after meeting a marketplace seller. First time I had the orange chicken which was fantastic. Came back a second time a few weeks later and tried the General Tso's chicken which was absolutely phenomenal! Food came out of the kitchen hot and within 7 minutes of ordering! I will definitely be making more visits to this restaurant as the service was top notch and very friendly as well. We discovered this place after searching for halah Thia food. Plenty of parking, the sitting area was very clean. The hospitality of the hostess was great. We were seated right away. We ordered the famous Tum Yum soup, Penang chicken, a delicious shrimp dish and pad Thai. Food was excellent, quality and quantity was great. Open for just over 6 weeks... this location was taken over by Leo and is a true family operation... I found out his Aunt was the chef in the back.... while this is primarily a take out looking place don't let this tiny looking place stop you from eating in... note there are only three - two top tables... primarily thai with some chinese staples as a nod to the original location which I learned was the first Chinese place in fairfax county... note they don't serve pork so choices for proteins are chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu. They do have lunch specials but those only run Monday thru Friday. All the thai recipes are family recipes and they are hoping to add specials that you can't find any where else Before I forget checkin before you order... when I posted this there was a 10% off coupon. The first thing I found interesting is that after I ordered and gave my credit card there was no option to add a service gratuity... refreshing as it seems EVERYONE is always asking.... prices on the menu are without protein so once you select that is then added. We decided on getting our options medium with chili oil on the side... note the oil is made with Thai peppers so much hotter than you might be expecting. Super fab. Not sure how or what to order just ask. They are happy to offer tasty suggestions based on your likes Even though we were eating in... they don't have plate options... but the plastic containers worked great... plus we were ready to take leftovers home. New Thai restaurant in fairfax and stopped by today for dinner. Stuffs are so friendly and welcome people when you walk in. Food quality is great and tasty. Pricing is fairly lower in NoVa area in other Thai restaurant. They only have few tables for dine in but owner says they will open up tables outside when it's spring and summer time for people to enjoy fresh air when eating. They also accepting small party and catering. We had Appetizers for summer roll, fried wonton and Tom Yum soup. Soup is so good that Forget to take a pic for the soup and realize I didn't take one. Could have sworn I left a review for this great little spot! Family owned and operated, super friendly, have their COVID protocols down, and the food is great! Everything I've had has been great. The quality is better than any of the other local carry-outs, hands down. The Curry Puffs are heaven. General Tso's is one of the better ones I've had in the area...I do suggest paying the extra $2 for extra protein as the regular serving is a little on the small side. The lo mien is nice, not oily/greasy, very light and delish. The green curry was a bit thin, and twice they've forgotten my rice, but I still ate it and it was still delicious. The chicken wings are fan frickin' tastic. Shrimp rolls are simple, but good...crispy spring roll wrapped shrimp, how can that suck? Larb is really good! The green papayas salad has been good, but one time hardly any fish sauce, another time, HEAVY on the fish sauce. All in all though, it's great. I'm sorry to say this is not the same Restaurant it was before closing for revamp. I did ask if it was the same owner and was told "yes". So the chef must have changed. Ordered my usual items: chicken/potato curry puffs - couldn't find a piece of chicken; Chicken and basil - before used good quality slices of chicken breast - not so any more, chef is now using ground chicken which had some grissle throughout the whole dish. The dipping sauce that they are now providing for both the curry puffs and spring rolls is not the same. Staff did not know what sauce I was talking about which lead me to believe there is a "new chef" in town. Seating has improved and staff is still accommodating and friendly. read more

The owner has turned a typical take out place into a cozy family restaurant with lovely Christmas decorations and actual heating (can't say how many restaurants still blow cold air onto your food in winter), felt warm and welcomed dining here. We ordered their lunch special, drunken noodle and basil fried rice with chicken, both were superb. Fresh ingredients, with the right amount of spicy, full of Thai flavors. I got the Wonton Soup but this was different from where I live!, they put broccoli, carrots , possibly mini bok choys along with wontons, the broth is fresh and flavorful as well!! It was seasoned and very flavorful. Hours after my class I stopped in again got the Drunken Noodles the spice was love noodles overall VERY GOOD, portion was Great!! (Screen that showcased it got me to my purchase lol) I was headed home at 6:25pm with traffic I got home at 9:00pm and It was Still HOT like literally, no warmer no anything just in my bookbag!! VERY IMPRESSIVE!!....The Guy working at the front that takes your order was so nice and welcoming suggested some things we talked in general til it was time to go!! So happy to have found a chinese/Thai spot 5mins away. The pad see ew is up to sisters standards. The papaya salad was better than other Thai spots in Fairfax, very fresh with crisp peas and plenty of nuts, nice to get shrimp included with no extra charge. The star was definitely the sesame chicken! Large juicy morsels, the coating is just right not too thick like other places. I like all the veggies that accompany the chicken to soak up the tasty sauce. We received a trio of peppers, chili oil and chili pepper, but we didn't need due to the perfectly spiciness of the dishes. I can't wait to try the curries and pad thai next. Used to love this place about 4 years ago. Food was great, a little more expensive but worth the extra. Went yesterday. Ordered my normal Gen Tso's Chicken, and Fried Rice. Key issues: the container of food was about 2/3 full. With about 1/4 of that being chicken. They have changed the way the meat is cut, so it is flatter and longer. The meat is drier. The rice in the box that came with the Gen Tso's was a little more than half full. The Fried rice was about 3/4 full but had a dearth of chicken and the seasoning was a little bland. I recognize that inflation causes a restaurant to try to reduce costs, but I'd rather pay more and get what I expect. I won't be going back. read more

Come to this new restaurant with my family today for a taste of traditional Thai food. Dishes are pretty good like what you get if you eat local in Thailand. Owner and waitress are all so friendly and greeting you the moment you walk in. Definitely recommend to come back more again. They also have seasonal specials sometimes for a good taste of what true Thai food is. Wow, I get to do the first review for this place !!! Well, let's start off with the basics. Service: very friendly, excited to be open, and really attentive. They are as fast as fresh food can be. I ordered 5 different items and it took 15 minutes. The menu: a small menu for a "Chinese" take out restaurant. To me that is a benefit. I don't have to read through 300 items. The food: awesome. Really good with a decent sized portion. It is refreshing to have food that is fresh and flavorful. Definitely not your run of the mill takeout food. My wife really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice and I enjoyed the pad Thai. My son enjoyed the green curry but said it could have been a bit spicier. My other kids loved the lo mein. I recommend giving them a try. It is great food hat I'm sure you will enjoy. Unless you are a grumpy person that doesn't like anything and posts nothing but bad reviews. The food we ordered was AMAZING. The menu at the register is easy to read but they also have another menu with pictures located to the side. We ordered the "Green Curry Box (Chicken)" and "General Tso's Chicken Chinese Box". Just an FYI, the "Green Curry" is spicy so if you are sensitive to heat/spice you could probably ask them to modify it. I'm not sure but it doesn't hurt to ask before ordering it. Our orders came out hot, quick, and taste and quality was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and definitely NOT frozen. For dessert my daughter ordered "Sticky Rice with Mango". Now I've had that dessert at several places and what I thought was good was nothing compared to theirs. You get a good size of sticky rice and mangoes too. You won't find the dessert on the delivery/carryout menu. The service was a 10/10 from start to finish! I didn't realize they just opened a few days ago but I overheard a customer mention it. The reason I came there was because of a Yelp review and didn't see another review mentioning the Grand Opening. The inside is very clean with a modern/minimalist touch. FYI, if you have a big family there are only 3 tables. When leaving we asked for a bag and the man who helped take/serve our orders turned out to be the owner, Leo. Went for lunch. I had red curry. Husband had Penang curry. Came with soup and spring roll (lunch special?) Owner couldn't have been nicer. Engaged us in conversation. Asked how hot we like our curries. We chose medium spicy. He also gave us complimentary pickled cucumbers and jalapeños. The spring roll was nice and crispy on the outside, tasty on the inside. This is my first time here and it was a great experience! The food was super yummy!! I really loved the pad Thai. It had that super home-y feel and it all of the right spots for my cravings! It is a half Thai and half Chinese place, but don't sleep on the Thai food because they make their own recipes along with their soy sauce! It is really so amazing! The owner was very helpful and kind. Guiding me and my friend through all of the differences between their foods. But don't sleep on their drinks. They're Thai iced tea is very good, but I just don't like Thai iced tea. It's a little sweet but over all good. BUT GET THE BUTTERFLY LEMONADE. it's made with a butterfly pea flower tea! So I am not sure this really is a statement about this place as much as a statement on how I feel about Chinese food these days. I used to love eating Sesame chicken when I was a teenager and when I was in college. Unfortunately, I probably haven't eaten proper Chinese food in over 15 years. I have had eaten at places like Pei Wei and had Kung Pao chicken. So, this was a throwback to my youth. I ordered a wonton soup and Sesame chicken. They were ok. As other reviews noted, easy place to bypass because of the strip mall carryout look. Very good Thai food! We had the crab fried rice and pad see ew and both very delicious. Ranks up there with my favorite Thai restaurants in their rendition. I hope they do well and expand their menu (in particular crispy duck). The papaya salad was also good. (Especially compared to the "chain" Thai restaurants in proximity, e.g. Thai by Thai, Masala Wok) My wife has gotten Panang curry and Pad See-Ew, I've gotten the green and red curries in "Thai Spicy". You have the option of choosing which spicy level through their online ordering system which has been great: pick-up time estimates have been accurate, and UX has been pleasant as well as the spicy level accuracy. We haven't tried their Chinese fare/items but based solely on their Thai offerings it's pretty clear to us that's their strength. Do try them! Very easy to drive past this place as it is small, but it's a cute, clean spot for some good quality Asian food. We tried some appetizers and soups, but they also offer lunch specials that are good deals. The appetizers were freshly fried and tasted great. We ordered money bags and chicken fried wontons. Both came with the same dipping sauce that paired well with the apps. The soups were Tom Yum and chicken wonton soup. I don't fully recommend them unless you have a taste palate for uniquely spiced and flavored dishes. The Tom Yum was very strong of lemon grass.
