The last three visits were disappointing. The very last visit was by far the worse. It was 2pm and the restaurant was not busy. A server told us to sit at a table by the traffic pathway and behind another table that was already seated by a couple customers. It was cramp spacing and we asked for a table along the wall instead. The section along the wall was empty so there was no reason to seat us in traffic's way. My date ordered #1 house special pho (no greens and onions) and I ordered #46 vermicelli bowl. Tea, and bean sprouts were were dropped off shortly after placing our order. Then another table of customers were seated behind us. They place their order and they all got their food before us. We asked a server why that was the case and she said "I don't know." On top of that, when our food was dropped off, my date's pho had greens and onions. We sent it back for the kitchen to fix it. The food tasted good. However, the service leaves more to be desired. This will be our last visit here ever. read more

This has been one of my favourite places to eat! The Pho here is well done, not too oily and very tasty. The rest of the menu offers a good variety of awesomeness. I also recommend the lemon grass chicken, that too is cooked right. The service is fast and the servers are typically friendly. Noodle Island is "okay". Don't expect good service from these guys. When you're going to pay less than $10 for anything at a restaurant, I don't expect you'll get perfect service. Their soup wasn't as good as Chopsticks on Pho. They have other meals too. My colleague tried vermicelli with pork and chicken. His dish was actually pretty good. Our waitress wasn't the nicest. my husband had heard good things about noodle island - I wasn't wowed by the location - and it ended up being really delicious food. the place was really busy at about 6:30. I had beef balls and rare steak. he had rare steak, crispy flank, and well done brisket. we shared veggie spring rolls. everything was great and the people who work there are so nice. they made a point of telling us that they would be closed for 10 days starting Sunday. they also seemed to know regulars who came in. we'll definitely be back! read more

One of my fave places to go for Vietnamese pho. Service is decent but the food is consistent and always good.

Been to quite a few pho places and this place is the cleanest one. It makes us keep coming back. Very cheap, delicious, and CLEAN. But seriously, it tastes much better than the other places. Also, I dont think their service is that bad like the other reviewers say. read more

Finished watching daughter play ball at fleetwood park. Yelped a pho place nearby to try as we were cold and feeling adventurous for an new pho place to try. Greeted promptly and sat. Not a lot of conversation but the server was prompt and nice. Good price so ordered large pho with beef and beefballs. It was pretty large. The beef was pretty good and we enjoyed the broth. Can't understand what all the negativity is about. You want pho, it doesn't get better than this place. My absolute favourite. Food is amazing. Pho is awesome and they really know how to cook meat so that it is tender, succulent and just amazingly delicious. Family run business, so it's not five star service like Hy's steak loft, but it is always quick, cheerful and pleasant. You're not going to want for anything. And for me it's all about the food. This is my go to Pho place in Surrey - food is as you would expect fresh and fast. Go so often they know my family's order. Service is fine but they are family run so when it gets busy they can get overwhelmed but otherwise it is great. It is a Vietnamese restaurant so don't expect to get the napkin put on your lap. Take out order was speedy. Large portions, packaged well. I'm glad they included jalapeños in the bag! The chicken pho was average. The broth was light and flavorful, however, the main downside was the quality of chicken. Large chunks instead of being thinly sliced, and way too much skin instead of actual meat. I've been to Noodle Island many times but I always order the exact same dish, the spicy curry chicken soup and add extra veggies. I'm sure there are other great soups and dishes but my husband orders the same soup and now our friends order the same soup and the staff knows when they see us - exactly what we want! We are all hooked and have to make a trip at least once a month. Lately I order mine with half the noodles (trying to lose weight) and it's still great. I love that they give you a plate of fresh basil, lime wedges and bean sprouts (must add and of course hot sauce). I had a spring roll as an appy last time and it was good, but nothing memorable and tried a beef soup another time but I think it had tripe (I can't do tripe) - but we all get serious cravings for #26 the curry chicken soup! I make curry dishes at home but have never made a broth I love as much as this soup. read more

3+. I haven't sampled enough of their food to give it more than a 3 star rating but they definitely impressed me. We have not gone to this place for years and decided to try it again. It was different than we had remembered in a good way. The server was friendly and that gave us a good first impression. We both had a pho and shared a salad roll. In both cases, the server recommended what was the best value - something that I appreciated. When the pho came, it was huge. Immediately my wife commented on how much bigger the food portion looked compared to the last pho place we went to. Even the salad roll was longer. What we got was more than expected and was also cheaper than where we usually frequent. One bonus that I noticed was that the soup was not overly oily - sometimes you can really see the oil bubbles on the surface of the soup. Definitely a place we will go back to soon, especially in the colder months to come. If it is still as good, my rating will turn into a solid 4 stars. read more
