Really quite good food. Everything is made right next to were you sit which is both good and bad. It puts on one heck of a show but it can get a bit close. However if you are like me and just do the take out bit, it is perfect. My personal favorite dish is to mix the vegetable chow mien with the sea salt calamari. It really is not all that salty but the sauce that comes with it is a little spicy. Good for two people or lunch the next day. But they really need to bust out a wall or move to a bigger place cause they are getting choked out in that little place they have now. It is not uncommon to see a line stretching out past the door. Also if you are in Casas Adobes or in Tucson proper, it is a bit of a drive. But if you are a student or teacher at PCC Northwest, it is a good and affordable place to grab a bit in between classes. Taste 10/10 nuff said Health 7/10 I am no health nut and this is not health food. That said, it is nowhere near as salty as its competitors and all of the vegetables and meats taste fresh. Affordability 8/10 One really nice thing about the place is you get a lot of bang for your buck. The combo I get mentioned above is roughly 14 dollars or roughly 7 a meal so not bad. Dine-in 5/10 Here is where the small space eats into their stars on other reviews. Because the kitchen is in the dining area, there is a lot of heat and noise that can disturb your meal. But you do get a bit of a show watching your food being tossed around. I only do take out so I can't say anything about the seats. Take-out 8/10 First off, no delivery, second off, they are on the way to Marana. So if you live anywhere south of Magee Rd it is a drive out there but it is well worth it. So I notice that my review isn't one of the dozen positive ones, which isn't my style at all, cuz I enjoy food a lot and I'm not terribly picky, not sure if that's a bad thing, but I can tell u my dish wasn't good, and I'm not one of those dramatic fools who says, "it was so awful...I couldn't eat it" or worse, "my dog wouldn't touch it" (btw what a ton of horse shit- dogs in my life love people food, then again they'd eat garbage I'm pretty sure) maybe I'm biased there... The beef and shrimp was ok but the pork or whatever the hell it was soo awful, I don't think I've ever eaten meat that bad before. I then became paranoid (bc who wouldn't be nowadays with the meat industry what it is) and I'm thinking to myself I wonder if I'm going to get sick? And these are not normal thoughts for me and I don't particularly like people who give dramatic accounts or over exaggerate... I'm not going for that but rather, heads up, from me to you and if your the owner or chef, please change up that bad meat usage. My partner got the Dinner special: sweet and sour chicken, he said it was average. Side fried Rice was slightly salty but definitely edible. Crab puff, spring roll, good can't go too wrong there, he especially liked the nice container it came in ( order was to go) Everything is nice and compartmentalized, noting the portions are Slightly smaller with the dinner special. No utensils were given. Guess u gotta ask. All said and done, I'm totally willing to give another chance, cuz some of those posted pictures look good and maybe it was just an off night. But heads up. REDEEMED My partner wouldn't let me reorder the. Char Kway tow, nor did I see it on the menu at this time, and I'm not sure I could of handled something called fish cake after my first experience. So my partner insisted I get something that sounded good, so I ordered the salted spicy shrimp and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked, breading light and crispy, spiced not too salty just right. It was served on dry rice noodles. The sweet and sour chicken was decent, average my partner says, he would get it again. I'd say the portions are filling but don't expect leftovers. We ordered on a Friday night, and it was extremely busy so the wait was not short, about 45 minutes for carry out, waited about 10 minutes alone to pick up. Every seat in the house was taken. I had such high hopes for this place, but was slightly disappointed. We've been there a few times and ordered the same thing, with the same results. It's close to our house so the convenience of it is awesome. We ordered the orange chicken, egg rolls, lo mein and some other meat dish my boyfriend wanted. The orange chicken was good, but just swimming in sauce, the egg rolls were delicious and again, the lo mein was good but they over do it on the sauce. This place was really good. It was easily the best place I ate at on my road trip to Arizona and back. I had the sesame chicken. It was probably the best sesame chicken I have ever had. It was tender, cooked perfectly and had a bit of heat to it. It could easily have been spicier, but it was about the perfect amount of heat for me. It was really good white people asian food. The decor was definitely unique. It was equal parts 1950s era diner and asian restaurant. The kitchen was open and both of the chefs I saw looked happy and very focused. It was a tiny place and there were tons of people there. I guess the word has spread. My only complaint was that this place wasn't closer to home. We are trying different restaurants since we moved here in May. This is our 4th restaurant to try, and it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent. We got the dinner specials where you get a choice of soup, crab wontons, and/or egg rolls along with the main dish. I had Sesame Chicken. It was very good. We will be back. The restaurant is very small, so you may have to wait for a table. The owner and staff were excellent and very attentive to us. Great place. read more

Love this place! It seems like it used to be a diner so the atmosphere is random. It's also pretty small inside (about 7 tables/booths). The kitchen is in the front of the restaurant, so you can see them cooking your meal, which I really like. My husband and I have gotten a seat both times we dined in. I have tried Chinese food throughout this entire area (I love Chinese food lol) and this is by far the best. I also did not get a migraine after eating which means no MSG. The portions are huge and very flavorful. If you like spicy food, this is definitely a place for you. Calling for take out can be a little iffy. The owner and executive chef in China, came here to fulfill a dream of having his own restaurant in Marana Az. He is a really nice guy and works so hard to prepare his dishes. I was passing through Marana and found this place on yelp. It's been a while since I've had decent Chinese food so I decided to give it a shot. This place was fantastic! Very polite cashier/server who gave grrat recommendations of popular dishes. The beef ho fen (干炒牛河) was fantastic! It's a little pricier than places I've been to in LA or NY but I think it was worth it. I am willing to pay a little more in this area for better quality food. Definitely would recommend if you're an ABC like me passing through the Tucson area needing a little taste of your grandma/mom's home cooking. read more

My husband and I were looking for someplace new to eat in Continental Ranch area and stopped in at about 6:30PM on a Saturday. This restaurant is located in a strip mall setting near Fry's. There were three people waiting in line to pickup to go orders when we arrived. We sat at one of the two open booths. I asked what would be safe to eat considering peanut and gluten allergies. The server was very friendly and told me that peanuts were indicated on the menu and that they could accommodate my gluten allergy on most items that weren't deep fried or batter coated. I ordered the egg flower soup, fried rice and shrimp with vegetables. The rice and shrimp with vegetables was delicious. Perfectly prepared! Went in there to have dinner because I got turned around and pulled into the wrong plaza for dinner. This turned out to be a fortuitous event (I dare not call it a mistake), because we just had the best Chinese quick food in several years. We walked in, and were seated at an "overflow" table by the opening between the kitchen and the restaurant. The kitchen is open and visible from around the restaurant, but our angle gave us a good view of the restaurant. The cooks moved in such an efficient, yet professional manner as to show they really care about what they are making. The skill in the cutting, the wok work and the plating were a sight to see. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and she ordered the Moo Shu Vegetables. I ordered the dinner package, which came with a bowl of soup and an egg roll with my choice of rice (I chose fried rice). I expected the soup to taste from the can that every other place that I've been to uses. I did notice that the sweet and sour soup was not over vinagered, but tasted competent. The egg roll was generic and industrial, but it was cooked to perfection. The General Tso's chicken usually comes with the battered chicken soaked in sauce, such that the batter is soggy. This was not the case here. The battered chicken bits were crunchy without being overdone, i.e. cooked to perfection. The Fried Rice was generic, and adequate, but cooked to perfection, without it being overcooked like a lot of places cook it. Her Moo Shu Vegetables was the star of the night. I wish that I could have ordered that. Seasoned and fried just right, the vegetables had a tenderness yet firmness not seen in a long time. Overall, best Chinese quick food. Everything was fairly generic and expected, but the quality of the cooking and the professionalism of the staff there won the place 4 stars. read more

Best fried rice I have ever had! I have been there many times since they opened but finally writing a well deserved 5-star review. The restaurant is very small but always impeccably clean. I love that you can watch the cooks prepare your meal - it adds to the ambiance and charm. The staff are always kind and smiling. They even remember the names of the regulars. This place opened for a week now. The food is really good. I have had the calimari, shrimp fried rice, and Walnut shrimp. The calimari was nicely seasoned and oh so tender. The walnut shrimp had a nice sauce and very well cooked. The place has been open for just a week but the few time I've been here, the place is crazy sometimes. Nikki was our waitress. Great girl! She had a great recommendation for their appetizer calamari with sea salt. It had this mild sauce with it which complimented the sea salt. I usually don't do appetizers for lunch but it was delicious. Also my boyfriend got the shrimp chop suey (chop suey is his fav) and it came with a hot and sour soup that was actually really good because it wasn't salty at all where a lot of other places are. We requested some crispy noodles to go with that too. I ordered the eggplant with hot garlic sauce, I felt like vegetarian today. Overall .. It's perhaps the harmony of these dishes that most amazes me; yes they are undoubtedly good ingredients, but they are prepared in such a way that none overwhelms any other. Some of the better Chinese takeout in town. Their food is not super greasy like some places. It's an open kitchen and the place looks super clean. Still mom and pop with a slight modern twist. The twists in all the good places. Good customer service and I love that they don't use the cheapest option for takeout boxes. It makes a difference when u bring your food home.
