I have to start by saying I was pretty hesitant when I pulled in to pick up my order. I feel like there is some motherly warning about eating at convenience stores that I'm forgetting. But none the less the food was amazing! I ordered the pad Thai with chicken, red curry with beef and crunchy Kani. Everything was so fresh and well prepared. I think the red curry was one of the best I've ever had and am absolute must try. In the future I'd pass on the crunchy kani. They didn't wow me and reminded me of fish sticks. This gem is a winner in my book and one of the few places I'd have absolutely no problem having more than once a week. Nothing I've had from these little ladies has ever disappointed and they're incredibly memorable with their friendly service and prompt delivery( they are pretty adorable, I know it's not relevant to their food but I think it makes somewhat of a difference when you kinda want to hide them in your purse and have them around like personal hype women because their sweetness leaves a lasting impression... think FatMan Scoop meets the Harajuku girls but Thai.....too much?) Thai is a dime a dozen in Miami and theirs is truly superb. ATK pays special attention to the integrity of their ingredients and it definitely shows. I would of NEVER imagined such top notch meals coming from a small line in the back of a Kwik Stop but these little geniuses have single handedly put many places to shame! The food is delicious and the presentation is lovely- definitely not the runny eye sores I've grown accustomed to when I order curries and the subsequent fat girl guilt. I highly recommend a Tiger Tear salad to compliment anything you order because the pleasant burn and leafy green bite it offers is the perfect amount of roughage to balance any of their savory curries. Their duck??? Just get the duck... I love texture, its so rich it's almost criminal to not have it crispy- make sure you order enough. Their satays are divine... their soups are a definite must if you're under the weather and if you're not....i guess now is a great time to brush up on your hypochondriac skills because every little container has the right amount of herbs that can rival a day at the Turkish Baths having someone beat you with branches. Finally! Legit Thai in Miami. First of all, *it's INSIDE the Kwik Stop!* Now, in my experience, this is among the top two best and most authentic Thai food spots in Miami-Dade County (The other contender is Siam Bistro out in Kendall). I'd probably vote this a bit higher, though my experience with it is still limited. They opened about two months ago and they know their way around a wok. I had the Drunken Noodles - beef - hot - (aka Pad Kee Mao) and they were exquisite. The noodles were the right noodles (despite the head chefs at two different other Thai restaurants telling me that such noodles were not to be found anywhere in South Florida), the wide flat rice noodles, properly cooked, not too clumpy, not too soft, not too hard... Well sauced, not too much, not too little, not too wet, not too dry... Good balance of meat, noodles and veggies. While I'm not personally a big fan of bamboo shoots (they were disclosed and I forgot to ask for them to be held), they actually were bearable... disliked ingredients are the mark of a good meal... it's like Guinness... (TANGENT WARNING) If your first experience with Guinness is out of can in rural Idaho, it's going to taste like ass, which will naturally lead you to believe that you don't care for Guinness... however, if you ever have the good fortune to taste the sweat tap nectar flowing from the brewery, your world will be rocked and you will understand that a) you like Guinness very much so indeed and b) that Guinness doesn't travel well. Today I learned that a) I don't mind bamboo shoots and b) bamboo shoots are not often done right. Bringing it home, the food was really good, especially for Miami. While I didn't read any of the reviews, I decided to order from here based on its high rating. As I walked up following my GPS I was quite confused- surely there must be a mistake? 3135 Grand Ave is a Kwik Stop, not a restaurant filled with delectable noodles and curries. And then I saw it, a tiny little sign on the front door: ASIAN THAI KITCHEN. My heart sank. Thai food from a convenience store? This couldn't possibly bode well for me. After much deliberation outside the Kwik stop, I decided to give it a try. I had already paid for it, and had worked up quite the hunger walking in the stifling Miami heat. To say that I made the right decision is an understatement, the minute I opened the box the smell of authentic Thai spices filled the room. Coworkers were lured into my office by the aroma of red curry, eyes full of wonder and curiosity. It tasted even better than it smelled, full of flavor and just the right amount of heat. The rice was perfect and fluffy. The dumplings- if only there were more! I did not eat until I was full, I ate until I could physically no longer continue. I wanted all the red curry my body could possibly intake, and then some. The service was great, the women were friendly, and my whole lunch combo (Red Curry, dumplings, rice, coke) only ran me $10. I would consider myself an Asian food aficionado, and after living in Miami for 20 years I have tried my fair sure of restaurants. Holy cr@p. Super good! I ordered delivery. The BF got pad Thai with chicken (mild), I got the red curry with beef, medium spicy. It was so good! Everything tasted like real ingredients (no short cuts here) and the food tastes fresh. When I saw my BF's pad Thai I felt a twinge of jealousy and reloaded because pad Thai is a favorite of mine. But after tasting my red curry I was very please with my decision. The coconut was so creamy. My only wish was they put more beef in. This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away inside a convenience store, my friend and I had a bit of trouble finding it because we weren't expecting that! But once we went inside and looked at the menu, I had no idea what I wanted. Everything looked so good! We decided to get some sushi because my friend was craving sashimi (as she always does) and let me tell you, we were surprised how good it was. I would've never expected such a small shop inside a kwiky-mart to have such good sushi. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Okay, you are about to walk into a Kwik Stop but I promise when that thai food hits your lips you'll be happy you found this little place. It's a takeaway counter so if you don't want to hang in the Kwik Stop for 20 minutes order ahead or even option for delivery. This is one of two locations, their other location is on 8th street. The people who work here are really nice and the food is delicious. The Tiger Tear Salad is awesome and the Panang Curry is so good I make my fiance get his own entree so we don't have to share. We found this place by a random event! We had just moved to a new house a few weeks ago and when we were unpacking a women knocked on the door. She asked for the person that used to live there, who we know well, and we explained he moved and we moved in a week ago. She was very nice apologetic and she said that she was trying to give him the new menu for her take-out-deliery place. We took the menu and said our good byes. A week later, still unpacking tired, and hungry, we found the menu - it was Thai and we love Thai food. My wife ordered three dishes for the family - and delivery was quick. Let me tell you Panang Curry is the best thing I have ever tasted!!!! So GOOD! All the food was great, and I truly recommend this place, as the Grove does not have the best Asian kitchen (I still miss the Red Lantern), and for take-out this place is truly outstanding. The Thai food is yummy, but be careful with the Peruvian as you will get a very low meat-to-rice ratio in my opinion. Also I ordered online and tried to use a coupon, which didn't work for some reason. When I picked it up I asked them to honor the coupon and they refused, claiming is was a deal with the ordering site (GrubHub), and not them. However, they gave me the coupon when I was in the store last time, so don't know how they can say that...I remain disappointed by their failure to accept their own coupon. read more

This is the best Thai food I've found in Miami - and I've been to every recommended Thai restaurant, including the trendy ones in Wynwood and downtown. Asia Thai Kitchen honestly has the best pad thai of anywhere, plus they deliver pretty quickly to my door. It might not have the biggest menu, and the fact that it's located inside a Kwik Stop with a disorienting mix of japanese and peruvian food on the menu can kind of throw you off, but honestly I would never give this place up! In addition to the pad thai, I also love their spicy shrimp salad. When I'm feeling particularly self-indulgent I order the crispy duck dish. It's very sweet and comes with cashews and pineapple chunks, but that's what I like sometimes, ok? Their fish ceviche is also quite good. Quick n' easy asian take-out in the Grove. If not for the fantastic reviews on Yelp I never would have found this gem tucked away in the Quick Stop mart that has always seemed just a tad bit sketchy. Now it's become our go-to and the only rule is that we can't order the same thing twice. I may, however, have to break that rule since trying the Tiger Tear salad last night! Amazingly robust, yet fresh flavors in each bite. Thai Chili Fish is another standout - although not crispy as stated in their menu, the plump, juicy, lightly breaded chunks of fish are so tender and fresh that crispness isn't missed. So far every meal has been delicious, satisfying and colorful. P.S. When ordering spicy dishes they'll always ask what level of spice...their "hot" definitely delivers so beware. read more

The fact it's inside of the famous 7-11/Kwik Stop in the Grove should not deter you... It feels great to find that little "joint" that does it up so good. Especially thai food- our favorite! The dishes here taste so authentic, which is what you really want from Thai. We've ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, drunken noodles, all sooo good. Panang Curry and Tom Kar Gai soup, really good, authentic how-it-should-be stuff. Even the thai tea - done right. You won't believe this place until you actually taste it. I found this restaurant on Yelp and said no way. Its inside the Kwik stop ? No way! So I tried it and it is really good. The menu is huge so I figured I would play it safe and order the pad Thai. Yummy! I had it with shrimp but would probably switch to chicken next time. After reading the yelp reviews I am also shocked and amazed that this location is in a Kwik Stop. I may have been detered by this information, so I am glad I tried the food via delivery first. I thought it was a little strange that the restaurant was located inside a Kwik Stop, but if the food was as good as the reviews said it was, I was down. Despite the location, I was glad that I came. The restaurant area of the store was well maintained and opposite of what you might envision. The girls working there were very nice too. I started off with the Shrimp Shumai. For some reason I decided to get it fried and as a result of that I was a little bit disappointed. I know that had I ordered it steamed it would have tastes so much better. Then I had the Pork Fried Rice. It was infused with black pepper and basil, but was quite good for the simple fact that is was made with fresh ingredients. I also had Chicken Pad Thai. It too was hot and fresh. That was a lot of food, but still I finished off with the Thai Donuts. Those were damn good! The location may be a little odd, but you cannot deny that they serve hot, fresh food made to order. read more

Unbelivably, this place is in a Quickie Mart. Yes, inside lol! A cop that patrols that area that stops and checks in at a business from time to time that I frequent, told me about this place. I actually had the taste for Thai food so I decided to give it a try. I had Pad Thai and it was decent. They give you a lot. I had to end up giving the rest to my little one and she beat it up on site. They deliver in the area and if you're doing a pick up, call before you do so if you know the menu items. It takes a while if you walk in and order. Also, parking is like always horrendous in the Grove so it stands true for this place. They do not have to go menus which makes it limited to know what you would like to order if you like to order ahead. Most def a spot I can return to. read more

Very poor depth of flavor, but excellent level of spice. It's strange to be reviewing a dish that's both bland and intensely hot, but there we go. I had the chicken pad thai, moderately spicy. It was fine. I wouldn't order it again. We found the servings small. Prices were reasonable. We were put off by the reviews noting the $35 minimum. I gave 1 star for great delivery experience (on time etc.) I paid $40 and it was all a waste. I ordered from here because of all the great reviews. Miami keeps disappointing me with Asian food. I got the tom kha soup, drunken noodle w/ chicken, and chicken fried rice. The noodles and soup were both VERY SALTY. All I could taste was salt from the soup and it was watery. This hidden gem is located inside of a Kwik-Stop convenience store which also houses a NY-style Pizza Shop. Talk about variety... they also carry a large selection of smoking pipes, hookahs, wraps, etc.(not the Pizza Shop but the Kwik-Stop). So far i ve had the Shrimp Udon Drunken Noodles, Basil Squid and Tofu Pad Thai. All have been delicious and incredibly tasty! Full of flavor, nice-sized portioned meals. The noodles were nice and firm, sauce was fairly flavorful, and chicken was cooked well. The veggies left a little to be desired. I wouldn't call it bland but it didn't quite have the kick that I would have liked. I've ordered take-out twice from this place. First, drunken noodles. They were delicious. Tasted fresh, had a lot of flavor, not too oily, and even came with parsley and peppers as garnish. (Yes this place is inside a Kwik Stop!) Next, I order pad Thai. It was good. Not as good as my first meal, but good. The $10+ meals come with a good amount of food. They open till 10pm on weeknights. My girlfriend and I discovered this little place by accident yesterday and were surprised that great Thai food was hiding down the block from our apartment, especially given how much we love Thai cuisine. We ordered veggie dishes (spring rolls, papaya salad, and green curry with tofu) and a meat dish (volcano chicken) at a variety of spice levels (mild through Thai spicy). Their papaya salad and green curry were great, though the spring rolls were mediocre. The dish that made this place special was the volcano chicken; we ordered it "Thai spicy" and it was properly spicy rather than "humoring the white guy spicy." Unlike most places that add red pepper flakes to create heat for heat's sake, they used a variety of fresh Thai chili peppers to add the additional flavors usually missing from "5 star spicy" dishes at other Miami Thai restaurants. It is unfortunate that they are a counter at a convenience store rather than a traditional restaurant, but that does not diminish the quality of their food in any way. Their major flaw is not to do with the food, but from the fact that there is no sign out front of the convenience store in which they have a counter. This little Thai place is AMAZING! Voted BEST Thai food in Miami! it's a cute secretive section inside the kwik stop but I LOVE IT! The people there are SUPER friendly always smiling and they even remember your name! If your like me and have a passion for Thai food and local hotspots for exotic dishes you'll definitely be impressed when you pay them a visit.
