I've lived in Miami for far too long without having realized the amazing Thai food that was waiting for me IN A QUIK STOP! As usual the best food is found in the most unassuming places. Menu is huge, and when I find something I like I pretty much stick to it lol... the only thing I've tried has been the pad thai.. Beef Pad Thai, Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken & shrimp pad thai... all are great choices! Be mindful of how spicy you order it, it is thai, it is hot, it is SPICY! Don't let the location deter you, this place is excellent. Friendly staff, orders are prepared very quickly, never disappoints. Try it, you'll thank me later!

I tried Asian Thai Kitchen for the first time last night and was beyond thrilled to find such flavourful Thai dishes in Miami. The Beef Satay had the most delicious peanut sauce that was both sweet and tangy. It reminded me of the flavours I have only had in Thailand. The Pad Thai with chicken had lots of tender white meat chicken and just enough sauce cloaking the noodle. And, the Tom Yum soup (not pictured) was delicious with lots of depth and just the right level of spice. When I looked up the restaurant I was surprised it was located in a Kwik Stop. Give this spot a try, you won't regret it! And, it's nice on your wallet!

We order from Asian Thai Kitchen once a week. They have been around for years. They are consistent with flavor. Not mild by any means. Our go-to dishes are pad Thai and curry. At this point, it's comfort food. It's crunchy with the bean sprouts. Al dente noodles are always perfectly cooked. And the flavor always packs a punch. Another popular dish in our rotation is the curries. It doesn't matter what color. Red, green, or parang? We have had them all. You can choose your spice level. The location is inside a gas station market, off to one side. It usually takes 30 minutes from the time we order to pick it up. The lady that works the front is always lovely and efficient. Give them a shot! I recommend it

This place is a hidden gem. It's located in a mini mart/pharmacy. The food was superb. We were only in Miami two night and we ordered from there both nights. Everything we had was great! Definitely will be back if we are in Miami again. They even gave me chili flake in a tiny ziplock bag in case the food wasn't spicy!

I have been wanting to find a whole in the wall asian place for years now down here in Miami. This place is it! You are able to place an order via the beyond menu app and choose the time for pick up- I chose ASAP and my food was ready in less than 30 minutes on a Sunday at 600pm which can be rush hour for some places. The restaurant is inside a convenience store which was odd first impression for miami standards. The food was amazing! Best bang for your buck, we got all the items for under 60 bucks. Our favorites were the soup, pork katsu and curry. But honestly all of them were really good. This is a perfect option if you are in the area and want to do a quick pick up before heading home. Just know you are not coming to this place to get a gourmet experience. I am very happy that I took the opportunity to give them a try.

This place is literally inside a convenience store. Big tip: they no longer offer sushi. Regardless I did notice a few things... there are real Asian people running the show. Another thing... they give a good amount of meat. The amount of chicken they gave me says they won't skimp back on the customer and that's a great thing. Also... this is one of the few sports in the heart of Coconut Grove that has a dedicated parking lot.

Still as good as it gets. A Thai restaurant tucked in the corner of a mini mart. Amazing selection ranging from curries to noodle dishes. My favorite is the Panang curry and drunken noodles, but all their options are delicious. This has been my go to Thai spot in the grove for several years.

    Red Curry Chicken. Delicious.

If this isn't the definition of a hidden gem, I don't know what is. I have ordered ATK numerous times off of Uber Eats, for years... and not until recently did I venture out to find its location. My goal was to dine in and indulge on what had quickly become by go to delivery for Thai food. Well, SURPRISE, no dining in. ATK is located inside the convenience store on Grand Avenue. Take out and delivery only. I dare you to find such affordable quality food from a gas station... anywhere. Culinary brilliance ATK!! Hats off to you! Pro-tip: They offer "Thai Hot" as their spiciest option but if this is not hot enough for you, just ask them and then they'll really make it THAI HOT! Good Luck!

Awesome Thai food! It's in a convenience store so you have to take it home or wherever you're going, but other than that- awesome food.

Even with reservations they were a little slow in seating for a fairly empty restaurant (noon). Ordered drinks (tea $6 and coffee $5) then brunch. Seems like service coordination is very off. The main of crab Benedict was served, next although already cooled and the sauce a congealed. My main, after a good 30 minutes still had not arrived. Apparently a steak and eggs can be miscooked and they had redone it, never bothering to tell us. I did not try it there. Refills on the coffee were never offered. We took the steak and our cinnamon buns to go since we had been there long enough. The final kicker is they have an automatic 20% service charge in order to ensure the staff is paid enough. Seems like a business problem to me. Service was not up to that high of a standard. If you go during Miami Spice I hope they have figured out how to sequence the courses and get them to the table correctly while still hot.

The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.

It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Zitz Sum is a seasonal and contemporary restaurant that seats up to 30 guests maximum. Very intimate setting. The menu is Asian inspired with Chinese and Japanese flavors, using Italian ingredients. Yes please! Our server was Maynard and he was very attentive and all over our table. We didn't want to do the Tasting Menu but we did pretty much order a little of everything. Literally!!! Ha. EVERYTHING WE ORDERED: * Bing Bread * Summer Salad * Wagyu Beef Tartare * Wahoo Crudo * Charred Cabbage * Koshihikari Rice * Gnocchi * Black Grouper * HK French Toast * Razzle Dazzle Cocktails were flowing. Some got alcoholic cocktails and some opted for non-alcoholic options. All drinks were great. For appetizers, the Bing bread is KING!!! Even with all the food we ordered, we were so damn impressed with the Bing bread that we decided to add another order. So satisfying and bread deliciousness that I cannot even explain. You just have to get it!!! If you get anything on Zitz Sum menu, get the Bing bread!!! The best thing we ate here. No joke. Wagyu beef tartare melts in your mouth. Wahoo crudo was super fresh and light. Summer salad had good crunchy texture and flavor. Charred cabbage was another good one with all the textures and charred goodness. For the main dishes, the gnocchi with truffles was heavenly. They had me truffles! The Koshihikari rice dish with squash and beans was a nice combo of flavors, I'm a big fan of squash and I loved the thin slices of squash. Black grouper was a nice piece of fish that was flakey goodness with tons of flavors. Dessert was beautiful. Both of them. I didn't love the Razzle Dazzle as I'm not a white chocolate fan and this flavor profile was just ok. The HK French Toast was a burst of flavors popping out, not to mention it was beautifully plated. Overall, everything about Zitz Sum was ON POINT!!! The whole vibe...ambiance, decor, service, food, drinks and presentation on everything was gorgeous!!! Highly recommended. One thing that was particularly disappointing was what happened after our visit. I reached out to the restaurant through social media to share our concerns and was told that someone would be contacting me directly. After weeks passed without any response, I followed up multiple times myself, yet I still never heard from anyone. That lack of communication was just as disappointing as some of the issues we experienced during dinner. Our evening began with a poorly situated table. The restaurant's air conditioning was apparently not working, and a portable AC unit had been placed in the corridor, blowing directly onto our table throughout the meal. We politely requested another table, but our request was declined, despite several empty tables remaining available for the entirety of our 90-minute reservation. What made this even more frustrating was seeing another party of two, who were seated after us, moved to a quieter, more secluded table away from the draft. The appetizers were excellent and set a promising tone for the meal. Unfortunately, the timing of the main courses was a significant issue. My husband's fish arrived well before my steak, and despite intentionally waiting, his meal became cold. He ultimately finished his entire entrée before mine was ever served. We even asked our server if there had been any confusion with the courses, but the delay remained unexplained. The pacing of table service could also be improved. My husband and I both work in hospitality, so we may notice these details more than the average guest, but there were multiple occasions where empty plates remained on our table for an extended period. By the time guests feel the need to stack dishes themselves just to create space, it's usually a sign that clearing has been delayed too long. The table itself also felt quite cramped. There was no practical place to store personal belongings, so I ended up holding my purse on my lap for the entire dinner. As for the food, there were several highlights. The wontons were spectacular, and the broth was exceptional. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The quality of the steak was excellent, although it felt like it could have benefited from an accompanying side. The portion of hollandaise (or mayonnaise-based sauce) was quite generous relative to the size of the steak. My husband's fish was light, fresh, and paired beautifully with the tender farro. The wine selection was decent and offered value compared with similarly priced wine lists elsewhere. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening, even though we were disappointed that our seating concerns could not be accommodated. One additional area for improvement: when we asked about purchasing a bottle of wine, our server initially assumed my husband wanted a single glass. While this was a minor misunderstanding, asking a brief clarifying question before placing the order would help avoid confusion. Overall, there is clearly talented people in both the kitchen and front-of-house team, and the quality of the food demonstrates that. However, inconsistent service, poor course timing, the lack of flexibility with seating, and the complete absence of follow-up after management indicated they would reach out ultimately left us disappointed.
